1Rapid seismic analysis methodology for in-service wind turbine towers显示文摘The wind energy industry has been growing rapidly during the past decades.Along with this growth,engineering problems have gradually emerged in the wind power industry,including those related to the structural reliability of turbine towers.This study proposes a rapid seismic analysis methodology for existing wind turbine tower structures.The method is demonstrated and validated using a case study on a 1.5 MW tubular steel wind turbine tower.Three finite element(FE)models are developed first.Field tests are conducted to obtain the turbine tower's vibrational characteristics.The tests include(1) remotely measuring the tower vibration frequencies using a long range laser Doppler Vibrometer and(2) monitoring the tower structural vibration by mounting accelerometers along the height of the tubular structure.In-situ measurements are used to validate and update the FE models of the wind turbine tower.With the updated FE model that represents the practical structural conditions,seismic analyses are performed to study the structural failure,which is defined by the steel yielding of the tubular tower.This research is anticipated to benefit the management of the increasing number of wind energy converters by providing an understanding of the seismic assessment of existing tubular steel wind turbine towers.Dai Kaoshan Huang Yichao Gong Changqing Huang Zhenhua Ren Xiaosong 2015Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2015,14,3:20
2Production and characterization of an extracellular polysaccharide of antarctic marine bacteria Pseudoalteromonas sp. 3Effect of hypoglycemic anti-deafness capsules in diabetic patients with deafness and toxicological assessment in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:Through experiment on animals and clinical trials to explore the safety and efficacy of hypoglycemic anti-deafness capsules on diabetic patients with deafness.METHODS:Total 296 patients with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM)were randomly divided into two groups.A treatment group of 164patients(208 ears)was treated with hypoglycemic anti-deafness capsules based onTCM syndrome differentiation.A control group of 132 patients(184ears)was treated with glibenclamide and conventional drug treatment for deafness.The following were observed:hearing,fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2 h postprandial plasma glucose(2hPG),24 h urine glucose(24hUG),improvement of main symptoms,platelet function,and changes in superoxidedismutase(SOD)and lipid peroxide(LPO)levels.In animal studies,Kunming mice,weighing 18-22 g were used.Half of the mice were males and half were females.Wistar rats,weighing 80-120 g were used.Half of the rats were males and half were females.Male Wistar rats,weighing 200-220 g,were also used.Their acute and chronic toxicity was studied.RESULTS:The hearing improvement was 56.7%in the treatment group and 26.6%in the control group.FPG,2hPG,and 24hUG were improved significantly(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.01,respectively)in the treatment group and 2hPG and 24hUG improved significantly in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.05).The improvement in 2hPG and 24hUG in the treatment group was significantly greater than that in the control group P<0.01).There was no significant difference in FPG between the two groups(P<0.05).Main symptoms in the treatment group were significantly more improved than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).In the treatment group,platelet adhesion and aggregation,SOD,and LPO were all significantly improved from before treatment(P<0.05,P<0.01).However,in the control group,except LOP(P<0.05),there were no significant differences from before treatment to after(P<0.05).In animal studies,no obvious acute or long-term toxicity was observed from capsule administration.CONCLUSION:Through experiment on animals and clinical trials,we can found that hypoglycemic anti-deafness capsules could decrease blood glucose and serum triglycerides of alloxan-induced diabetic rats.This herbal capsule is effective for safely treating diabetic patients with deafness.Ruiyu Li Meng Li Kaoshan Guo Bin Li Jinjie Hou Liping Wu Xianyun Liu 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:2

12Effects of Neodymium Application Mode on Resistance to Fusarium Wilts in Cucumbers显示文摘The effects of neodymium application mode on the disease index, PAL, POD and PPO activity, content of lignin and generation rate of ·O2- in cucumbers were investigated by pot experiment. The results suggest that the disease index decreases after spraying Nd 3+ . Relative protection effects of at-the-same-time-group, induced-group and therapy-group are 7.51%, 27.14% and 11.51%. The PAL activity of Nd+Fo treatment in at-the-same-time-group, induced-group and therapy-group increases by 9.86%, 48.57% and 4.97% respectively compared with that of Fo treatment. The POD activity decreases by 27.52%, 35.87% and 7.67%. The PPO activity increases by 5.75%, 36.58% and 52.19%. The ·O2- generation rate decreases by 9.49%, 28.08% and 25.21%. The lignin content increases 5.55%, 5.25% and 11.25%. 15Induction of Volatile Organic Compounds in Leaves of Lycopersicon Esculentum by Nd^(3+)显示文摘The effects of Nd 3+ on the quality and quantity of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the leaves of Lycopersicon esculentum were studied. The results demonstrate that Nd 3+ can increase the total amount of VOC by 75% after treatment for 120 h, as compared with the control. Phyto-oxylipins, terpenoids and aromatic compounds were increased by 73%, 38% and 21%, respectively. (E)-2-hexenal, the most abundant constituent is increased by 74%, β-phellandrene and α-caryophyllene in terpenoids, eugenol in aromatic compounds are also enhanced significantly, and increase by 129%, 65% and 309%, respectively. Nd 3+ in different concentration can increase the production of VOCs and shows different trends in the time course of induction. There is also an increase in ·O-2 formation, chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase activities in response to Nd 3+ treatment. 16Monitoring of CO_2 geological storage based on the passive surface waves显示文摘Carbon dioxide(CO2) capture and geological storage(CCS) is one of promising technologies for greenhouse gas effect mitigation. Many geotechnical challenges remain during carbon dioxide storage field practices, among which effectively detecting CO2 from deep underground is one of engineering problems. This paper reviews monitoring techniques currently used during CO2 injection and storage.A method developed based on measuring seismic microtremors is of main interest. This method was first successfully used to characterize a site in this paper. To explore its feasibility in CO2 storage monitoring,numerical simulations were conducted to investigate detectable changes in elastic wave signatures due to injection and geological storage of CO2. 17Inspection and Monitoring Techniques for Power Lines显示文摘Structural assessment is prerequisite for proper maintenance of civil infrastructure.In the begining of this paper,modern inspection and monitoring methods are briefly reviewed.Experiences in applying image-based methods for highway bridge inspection are described shortly afterward.Studies are then extended to explore technologies for power delivery infrastructure evaluation.Typical power line components are first introduced. Structural analyses show complicated coupling phenomena in the power line system;and its vulnerability is intensified by extreme environment or human induced events.As a main interest,the state-of-art of power line inspection is summarized.Both visual observations and inspections assisted with novel techniques are presented.Real time monitoring of the power line is also investigated in this paper.Technologies that have potentials for monitoring power cables,insulators,and support structures are identified.A conceptual integrated design is proposed by the authors through combining innovative inspection with promising monitoring methods to ensure a sustainable,smart power line.DAI Kaoshan CHEN Shenen 2011结构工程师2011,27,B01:0
