1Individualized prediction of perineural invasion in colorectal cancer: development and validation of a radiomics prediction model显示文摘Objective: To develop and validate a radiomics prediction model for individualized prediction of perineural invasion(PNI) in colorectal cancer(CRC).Methods: After computed tomography(CT) radiomics features extraction, a radiomics signature was constructed in derivation cohort(346 CRC patients). A prediction model was developed to integrate the radiomics signature and clinical candidate predictors [age, sex, tumor location, and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) level]. Apparent prediction performance was assessed. After internal validation, independent temporal validation(separate from the cohort used to build the model) was then conducted in 217 CRC patients. The final model was converted to an easy-to-use nomogram.Results: The developed radiomics nomogram that integrated the radiomics signature and CEA level showed good calibration and discrimination performance [Harrell's concordance index(c-index): 0.817; 95% confidence interval(95% CI): 0.811–0.823]. Application of the nomogram in validation cohort gave a comparable calibration and discrimination(c-index: 0.803; 95% CI: 0.794–0.812).Conclusions: Integrating the radiomics signature and CEA level into a radiomics prediction model enables easy and effective risk assessment of PNI in CRC. 4Synergistic effects of elevated homocysteine level and abnormal blood lipids on the onset of stroke显示文摘Hyperhomocysteinemia and abnormal blood lipids are independent risk factors for stroke.However,whether both factors exert a synergistic effect in the onset of stroke remains unclear.The present study is a retrospective analysis of 2 089 cases of stroke and 2 089 control cases of simple intervertebral disk protrusion using a paired multivariate logistic regression method.Adjusting for known confounding variables including the patients’age,gender,smoking status,alcohol consumption status,patient and family medical history,and clinical biochemical indices,elevated homocysteine level was related to the onset of stroke.Patients with elevated homocysteine levels and abnormal blood lipids showed a 40.9%increase in the risk for stroke compared to patients with normal homocysteine levels and blood lipids(odds ratio 1.409;95%confidence interval1.127–1.761).These results indicate that elevated homocysteine and abnormal blood lipids exert synergistic effects in the onset of stroke.Patients with elevated homocysteine levels and abnormal blood lipids are predisposed to stroke.Lu Hao Liming Chen Xiaoyong Sai Zhefeng Liu Guang Yang Rongzeng Yan Lili Wang Caiyun Fu Xuan Xu Zhenzhen Cheng Qiang Wu Shuzhang Li 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,31:9

6Identification of petroleum aromatic fraction by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with time-of-flight mass spectrometry显示文摘Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC×GC-TOFMS) is commercially available in the 1990s,with the characteristics of large peak capacity,high resolution,high sensitivity,etc.However,its application to the petroleum and geological analyses is just emerging in China and overseas.In this research,the analytical method for petroleum aromatic fraction using GC×GC-TOFMS is set up,via the choice of the column system and optimization of setting parameters,such as temperature programming,modulation time,hot pulse time,flow rate of carrier gas,data acquisition rate and data processing.The results indicate that different polar compounds of aromatic fraction distribute as bands on structured GC×GC chromatogram.Within each band,homologous compounds appear as a roof-tile structure based on the number of substituent residues.The aromatic compounds are identified and characterized according to the GC×GC chromatogram and mass spectra.According to the polarity and the number of rings,aromatic compounds are spatially present on one chromatogram,which directly reflects the distribution characteristics of complex compounds of aromatic hydrocarbons.In addition,quantitative analysis is favored as some overlapped peaks on traditional GC-MS chromatogram have been separated completely on GC×GC.Some heterocyclic atom aromatic compounds at trace level can be clearly identified using this method,for polarity differences from other interfered aromatic compounds.The development of this method and chromatogram recognition offer petroleum geologists a practical example for the application performance of GC×GC-TOFMS.WANG HuiTong WENG Na ZHANG ShuiChang ZHU GuangYou CHEN JianPing WEI CaiYun 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,19:6

8Whole-genome resequencing of Osmanthus fragrans provides insights into flower color evolution显示文摘Osmanthus fragrans is a well-known ornamental plant that has been domesticated in China for 2500 years.More than 160 cultivars have been found during this long period of domestication,and they have subsequently been divided into four cultivar groups,including the Yingui,Jingui,Dangui,and Sijigui groups.These groups provide a set of materials to study genetic evolution and variability.Here,we constructed a reference genome of O.fragrans‘Liuyejingui’in the Jingui group and investigated its floral color traits and domestication history by resequencing a total of 122 samples,including 119 O.fragrans accessions and three other Osmanthus species,at an average sequencing depth of 15×.The population structure analysis showed that these 119 accessions formed an apparent regional cluster.The results of linkage disequilibrium(LD)decay analysis suggested that varieties with orange/red flower color in the Dangui group had undergone more artificial directional selection;these varieties had the highest LD values among the four groups,followed by the Sijigui,Jingui,and Yingui groups.Through a genome-wide association study,we further identified significant quantitative trait loci and genomic regions containing several genes,such as ethylene-responsive transcription factor 2 and Arabidopsis pseudoresponse regulator 2,that are positively associated with petal color.Moreover,we found a frameshift mutation with a 34-bp deletion in the first coding region of the carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 4 gene.This frameshift mutation existed in at least one site on both alleles in all varieties of the Dangui group.The results from this study shed light on the genetic basis of domestication in woody plants,such as O.fragrans.Hongguo Chen Xiangling Zeng Jie Yang Xuan Cai Yumin Shi Riru Zheng Zhenqi Wang Junyi Liu Xinxin Yi Siwei Xiao Qiang Fu Jingjing Zou Caiyun Wang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:5
9Effect of particle size on the transformation kinetics of flue gas desulfurization gypsum to α-calcium sulfate hemihydrate under hydrothermal conditions显示文摘The effect of particle size on the transformation kinetics of flue gas desulfurization (FGD)gypsum to α-calcium sulfate hemihydrate (α-HH)in calcium chloride (CaCl2)solutions was investigated to better guide value-added FGD gypsum use.Gypsum samples from different sources were sieved into several size groups,and their transformation rates were compared.The results showed that using FGD gypsum with a smaller particle size accelerated the transformation to α-HH.The size effect accelerated nucleation kinetics of α-HH rather than its crystal growth rate (that is,the thermodynamic driving force for the transformation changed little with particle size variation).Analysis using a kinetics model revealed that a smaller gypsum particle size lowered the overall activation energy barrier for the transformation.This is because the smaller gypsum particles had a larger relative specific surface area and thus provided more nucleation sites and crystalline defects to promote α-HH nucleation.A smaller particle size of FGD gypsum also gave a higher yield of fine α-HH particles because of the increased incidence of primary and secondary nucleation coupled with attrition.This paper indicates the transformation of FGD gypsum into α-HH could be effectively promoted by regulating FGD gypsum particle size.Hailu Fu Caiyun Jia Qiaoshan Chen Xueting Cao Xiaomin Zhang 2018Particuology2018,16,5:5
10Concentration of circulating microparticles:a new biomarker of acute heart failure after cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass显示文摘Acute heart failure(AHF)is a severe complication after cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).Although some AHF biomarkers have been used in clinic,they have limitations when applied in the prediction and diagnosis of AHF after cardiac surgery with CPB,and there are still no effective and specific biomarkers.We and other researchers have shown that circulating microparticles(MPs)increased in a variety of cardiovascular diseases.However,whether the concentration of circulating MPs could be a new biomarker for AHF after cardiac surgery remains unknown.Here,90 patients undergoing cardiac surgery with CPB and 45 healthy subjects were enrolled.Patients were assigned into AHF(n=14)or non-AHF(n=76)group according to the diagnosis criteria of AHF.The concentrations of circulating MPs were determined before,as well as 12 h and 3 days after operation with nanoparticle tracking analysis technique.MPs concentrations in patients before surgery were significantly higher than those of healthy subjects.Plasma levels of MPs were significantly elevated at 12 h after surgery in patients with AHF,but not in those without AHF,and the circulating MPs concentrations at 12 h after surgery were higher in AHF group compared with non-AHF group.Logistic regression analysis indicated that MPs concentration at postoperative 12 h was an independent risk factor for AHF.The area under receiver operating characteristic curve for MPs concentration at postoperative 12 h was 0.87 and the best cut-off value is 5.20×10~8 particles mL~(–1)with a sensitivity of 93%and a specificity of 70%.These data suggested that the concentration of circulating MPs might be a new biomarker for the occurrence of AHF after cardiac surgery with CPB.Yuquan Li Haoxiang Yuan Caiyun Chen Chao Chen Jian Ma Yating Chen Yan Li Yupeng Jian Donghong Liu Zhijun Ou Jingsong Ou 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,1:3
11Ordered two-dimensional porous Co3O4 nanosheets as electrocatalysts for rechargeable Li-O2 batteries显示文摘Lithium-oxygen batteries have attracted considerable interest in the past a few years, because they have higher theoretical specific energy than Li-ion batteries. However, the available en ergy den sities of the Li-O2 batteries are much less than expected. It is particularly urgent to find catalyst with high activity. Herein, a series of Co3O4 with differe nt morphologies (ordered two-dimensio nal porous nano sheets, flowerlike and cuboidlike) were successfully prepared through facile hydrothermal and calcinatio n methods. Ordered two-dime nsional Co3O4 nano sheets show the best cycling stability. Detailed experimental results reveal that the superiority of the unique two-dimensional uniform porous structures is vital for Li-O2 batteries cathode catalysts. 12CPTA treatment reveals potential transcription factors associated with carotenoid metabolism in flowers of Osmanthus fragrans显示文摘Osmanthus fragrans is one of the top ten traditional flowers in China.It is divided into three different groups according to its color.α-Carotene and β-carotene are the main determinants to distinguish the color differences between three groups.However,the dominant genes and transcription factors involved in carotenoid metabolism remain unclear.CPTA treatment(0.7mmol·L−1)remarkably promoted lycopene,α-carotene and β-carotene contents in flowers.Transcriptome sequencing analysis revealed that CPTA treatment could trigger chain reactions in carotenoid metabolism pathway genes.Four up-regulated and 10 down-regulated transcription factors which have close association with carotenoid variation were significantly induced by CPTA treatment.The up-regulated TFs such as MYB43,MYB123,HSF,were further subjected to transcript expression determination in different cultivars with drastic colors.Among them,transcript expression of four up-regulated TFs coincided with the carotenoid accumulation in different cultivars.We selected up-regulated OfMYB43 to verify its function,which is related to stress tolerance and transcriptional regulation.Transient overexpression of OfMYB43 in O.fragrans flowers showed that it could remarkably promote the expression of PDS,ZISO,LCYE and CCD4,leading to increased accumulation of β-branch carotenoids.OfMYB43 was a potential positive regulator of carotenoid biosynthesis in O.fragrans flowers.This study provides insight into the molecular mechanism of carotenoid metabolism in O.fragrans.Wan Xi Yanhong He Linlin Zhu Shiyang Hu Shuyi Xiong Yi Zhang Jingjing Zou Hongguo Chen Caiyun Wang Riru Zheng 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,5:3

14Degradation of ofloxacin using peroxymonosulfate activated by nitrogen-rich graphitized carbon microspheres:Structure and performance controllable study显示文摘Nitrogen-rich graphitized carbon microspheres(NGCs)with hierarchically porous were constructed by self-assembly.Under different heat treatment conditions,the structure,morphology and properties of NGCs were studied by using multiple characterization techniques.The results showed that the chemical microenvironments(e.g.surface chemistry,degree of graphitization and defective,etc.)and microstructures properties(e.g.morphology,specific surface area,particle size,etc.)could be delicately controlled via thermal carbonization processes.The degradation of ofloxacin(OFLX)by NGCs activated peroxymonosulfate(PMS)was studied systematically.It was found that the synergistic coupling effect between optimum N or O bonding species configuration ratio(graphitic N and C=O)and special microstructure was the main reason for the enhanced catalytic activity of NGC-800(calcination temperature at 800°C).Electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)experiments and radical quenching experiments indicated that the hydroxyl(·OH),sulfate(SO4^·-)and singlet oxygen(^1O_(2))were contributors in the NGC-800/PMS systems.Further investigation of the durability of chemical structures and surface active sites revealed that undergo N bonding species configuration reconstruction and cannibalistic oxidation during PMS activation reaction.The used NGC-800 physicochemical properties could be recovered by heat treatment to achieve the ideal catalytic performance.The findings proposed a valuable insight for catalytic performance and controllable design of construction.Changsheng Feng Chen Chen Yu Zhu Qi Cao Chao Chen Caiyun Jiang Yuping Wang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1:2
15Seismic studies of coal bed methane content in the west coal mining area of Qinshui Basin显示文摘The coal bed methane content(CBMC)in the west mining area of Jincheng coalfield,southeastern Qjnshui Basin,is studied based on seismic data and well-logs together with laboratory measurements.The results show that the Shuey approximation has better adaptability according to the Zoeppritz equation result;the designed fold number for an ordinary seismic data is sufficient for post-stack data but insufficient for pre-stack data regarding the signal to noise ratio(SNR).Therefore a larger grid analysis was created in order to improve the SNR.The velocity field created by logging is better than that created by stack velocity in both accuracy and effectiveness.A reasonable distribution of the amplitude versus offset(AVO)attributes can be facilitated by taking the AVO response from logging as a standard for calibrating the amplitude distribution.Some AVO attributes have a close relationship with CBMC.The worst attribute is polarization magnitude,for which the correlation coefficient is 0.308;and the best attribute is the polarization product from intercept,of which the correlation coefficient is-0.8136.CBMC predicted by AVO attributes is better overall than that predicted by direct interpolation of CBMC;the validation error of the former is 14.47%,which is lower than that of the latter 23.30%.CBMC of this area ranges from2.5 m^3/t to 22 m^3/t.Most CBMC in the syncline is over 10m^3/t,but it is below 10m^3/t in the anticline;on the whole,CBMC in the syncline is higher than that in anticline.Zou Guangui Peng Suping Yin Caiyun Xu Yanyong Chen Fengying Liu Jinkai 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,6:2

18RNA Methylome Reveals the m^(6)A-mediated Regulation of Flavor Metabolites in Tea Leaves under Solar-withering显示文摘The epitranscriptomic mark N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),which is the predominant internal modification in RNA,is important for plant responses to diverse stresses.Multiple environmental stresses caused by the tea-withering process can greatly influence the accumulation of specialized metabolites and the formation of tea flavor.However,the effects of the m^(6)A-mediated regulatory mechanism on flavor-related metabolic pathways in tea leaves remain relatively uncharacterized.We performed an integrated RNA methylome and transcriptome analysis to explore the m^(6)Amediated regulatory mechanism and its effects on flavonoid and terpenoid metabolism in tea(Camellia sinensis)leaves under solar-withering conditions.Dynamic changes in global m^(6)A level in tea leaves were mainly controlled by two m^(6)A erasers(CsALKBH4A and CsALKBH4B)during solar-withering treatments.Differentially methylated peak-associated genes following solarwithering treatments with different shading rates were assigned to terpenoid biosynthesis and spliceosome pathways.Further analyses indicated that CsALKBH4-driven RNA demethylation can directly affect the accumulation of volatile terpenoids by mediating the stability and abundance of terpenoid biosynthesis-related transcripts and also indirectly influence the flavonoid,catechin,and theaflavin contents by triggering alternative splicing-mediated regulation.Our findings revealed a novel layer of epitranscriptomic gene regulation in tea flavor-related metabolic pathways and established a link between the m^(6)A-mediated regulatory mechanism and the formation of tea flavor under solar-withering conditions.Chen Zhu Shuting Zhang Chengzhe Zhou Caiyun Tian Biying Shi Kai Xu Linjie Huang Yun Sun Yuling Lin Zhongxiong Lai Yuqiong Guo 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,4:2
19Quantitative proteomics revealed extensive microenvironmental changes after stem cell transplantation in ischemic stroke显示文摘The local microenvironment is essential to stem cell-based therapy for ischemic stroke,and spatiotemporal changes of the microenvironment in the pathological process provide vital clues for understanding the therapeutic mechanisms.However,relevant studies on microenvironmental changes were mainly confined in the acute phase of stroke,and long-term changes remain unclear.This study aimed to investigate the microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases of ischemic stroke after stem cell transplantation.Herein,induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)and neural stem cells(NSCs)were transplanted into the ischemic brain established by middle cerebral artery occlusion surgery.Positron emission tomography imaging and neurological tests were applied to evaluate the metabolic and neurofunctional alterations of rats transplanted with stem cells.Quantitative proteomics was employed to investigate the protein expression profiles in iPSCs-transplanted brain in the subacute and chronic phases of stroke.Compared with NSCs-transplanted rats,significantly increased glucose metabolism and neurofunctional scores were observed in iPSCs-transplanted rats.Subsequent proteomic data of iPSCs-transplanted rats identified a total of 39 differentially expressed proteins in the subacute and chronic phases,which are involved in various ischemic stroke-related biological processes,including neuronal survival,axonal remodeling,antioxidative stress,and mitochondrial function restoration.Taken together,our study indicated that iPSCs have a positive therapeutic effect in ischemic stroke and emphasized the wide-ranging microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases.Yao Chen Fahuan Song Mengjiao Tu Shuang Wu Xiao He Hao Liu Caiyun Xu Kai Zhang Yuankai Zhu Rui Zhou Chentao Jin Ping Wang Hong Zhang Mei Tian 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,3:1
