| 2 | Comparison of sampling effort allocation strategies in a stratified random survey with multiple objectives显示文摘Stratified random survey is commonly used to estimate abundance indices of fish populations in multispecies survey,providing reliable data for stock assessment and fisheries management.In some cases,however,the sample size is relatively small because of the limitation of survey cost or other factors.The allocation methods of sampling efforts among strata in stratified random surveys with small sample size may need adjustment compared with traditional approaches.In this study,two sampling stations were allocated to each stratum first and then the remaining sampling units were allocated among strata using five traditional allocation methods.In order to distinguish them from traditional methods,we called them adjusted methods in this study.A simulation study was conducted to compare the performances of different allocation strategies of sampling efforts in a stratified random survey for estimating abundance indices of multiple target species.Relative estimation error(REE)and relative bias(RB)were used to measure the precision and accuracy of estimates of abundance indices under different allocation schemes of sampling efforts in the multispecies survey.The performances of different allocation schemes in estimating abundance indices varied greatly for different species over different seasons.The adjusted Neyman allocation scheme could significantly reduce the REE and RB of estimates of abundance index for single species survey.For multiple species surveys,the adjusted average-Neyman allocation method,the adjusted Yate allocation method,the adjusted proportional allocation method and current allocation method had relatively high accuracy and precision of estimates of abundance indices for four species in terms of the total_(REE) and total_(RB).Though the adjusted average-Neyman allocation scheme did not always have the best performance,it was the optimal one considering the accuracy and precision of estimates of abundance indices for all species simultaneously.The allocation of sampling efforts among strata in stratified random surveys targeting for estimating abundance indices of multiple species should comprehensively consider the variance of abundance of different species in stratum and the seasonal changes. | Guosheng Zhang Jing wang Ying Xue Chongliang Zhang Binduo Xu Yuan Cheng Yiping Ren | 2020 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2020,5,3: | 3 |

| 4 | Oxidative coupling of cinnamic acid derivatives and their radical-scavenging activities显示文摘4-Hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives,including ferulic acid (FA) (1),sinapic acid (SA) (2) and caffeic acid (CA) (3),are widely distributed in the plant kingdom,and undergo oxidative cross-coupling leading to the corresponding dehydrodimers,trimers and even higher oligomers in plants. In order to evaluate the antioxidative ability of these 4-hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives and their oligomers,we synthesized 8-8'-bis-lactone-dimers (8-8'-DiFA (4),8-8'-DiSA (5) and 8-8'-DiCA (6)),as well as a new trimer (7),by the reaction of the corresponding monomers (1-3) with Ag2O in methanol,and assayed their free radical-scavenging activity by the reaction with 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH·). | 11 | The BZR1-EDS1 module regulates plant growth-defense coordination显示文摘Plants have developed sophisticated strategies to coordinate growth and immunity,but our understanding of the underlying mechanism remains limited.In this study,we identified a novel molecular module that reg-ulates plant growth and defense in both compatible and incompatible infections.This module consisted of BZR1,a key transcription factor in brassinosteroid(BR)signaling,and EDS1,an essential positive regulator of plant innate immunity.We found that EDS1 interacts with BZR1 and suppresses its transcriptional activ-ities.Consistently,upregulation of EDS1 function by a virulent Pseudomonas syringae strain or salicylic acid treatment inhibited BZR1-regulated expression of BR-responsive genes and BR-promoted growth.Furthermore,we showed that the cytoplasmic fraction of BZR1 positively regulates effector-triggered im-munity(ETI)controlled by the TIR-NB-LRR protein RPS4,which is attenuated by BZR1's nuclear transloca-tion.Mechanistically,cytoplasmic BZR1 facilitated AvrRps4-triggered dissociation of EDS1 and RPS4 by binding to EDS1,thus leading to efficient activation of RPS4-controlled ETI.Notably,transgenic expression of a mutant BZR1 that accumulates exclusively in the cytoplasm improved pathogen resistance without compromising plant growth.Collectively,these results shed new light on plant growth-defense coordina-tion and reveal a previously unknown function for the cytoplasmic fraction of BZR1.The BZR1-EDS1 mod-ule may be harnessed for the simultaneous improvement of crop productivity and pathogen resistance. | Guang Qi Huan Chen Dian Wang Hongyuan Zheng Xianfeng Tang Zhengzheng Guo Jiayu Cheng Jian Chen Yiping Wang Ming-yi Bai Fengquan Liu Daowen Wang Zheng Qing Fu | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,12: | 1 |

| 13 | Multiplexed imaging of tumor immune microenvironmental markers in locally advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer characterizes the features of response to PD-1 blockade plus chemotherapy显示文摘Background:Although programmed cell death 1(PD-1)blockade plus chemotherapy can significantly prolong the progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in first-line settings in patients with driver-negative advanced non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC),the predictive biomarkers remain undetermined.Here,we investigated the predictive value of tumor immune microenvironmental marker expression to characterize the response features to PD-1 blockade plus chemotherapy.Methods:Tumor tissue samples at baseline were prospectively collected from 144 locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC patients without driver gene alterations who received camrelizumab plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone.Tumor immune microenvironmental markers,including PD-1 ligand(PDL1),CD8,CD68,CD4 and forkhead box P3,were assessed using multiplex immunofluorescence(mIF)assays.Kaplan-Meier curveswere used to determine treatment outcome differences according to their expression status.Mutational profiles were compared between tumors with distinct expression levels of these markers and their combinations.Results:Responders had significantly higher CD8/PD-L1(P=0.015)or CD68/PD-L1 co-expression levels(P=0.021)than non-responders in the camrelizumab plus chemotherapy group,while no difference was observed in the chemotherapy group.Patients with high CD8/PD-L1 or CD68/PD-L1 co-expression level was associated with significantly longer PFS(P=0.002,P=0.024;respectively)and OS(P=0.006,P=0.026;respectively)than those with low co-expression in camrelizumab plus chemotherapy group.When comparing survival in the camrelizumab plus chemotherapy with chemotherapy by CD8/PD-L1 co-expression stratification,significantly better PFS(P=0.003)and OS(P=0.032)were observed in high co-expression subgroups.The predictive value of CD8/PD-L1 and CD68/PD-L1 co-expression remained statistically significant for PFS and OS when adjusting clinicopathological features.Although the prevalence of TP53 or KRAS mutations was similar between patients with and without CD8/PD-L1 or CD68/PD-L1 co-expression,the positive groups had a significantly higher proportion of TP53/KRAS co-mutations than the negative groups(both 13.0%vs.0.0%,P=0.023).Notably,enriched PI3K(P=0.012)and cell cycle pathway(P=0.021)were found in the CD8/PD-L1 co-expression group.Conclusion:Tumor immune microenvironmental marker expression,especially CD8/PD-L1 or CD68/PD-L1 co-expression,was associated with the efficacy of PD-1 blockade plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment in patients with advanced NSCLC. | Fengying Wu Tao Jiang Gongyan Chen Yunchao Huang Jianying Zhou Lizhu Lin Jifeng Feng Zhehai Wang Yongqian Shu Jianhua Shi Yi Hu Qiming Wang Ying Cheng Jianhua Chen Xiaoyan Lin Yongsheng Wang Jianan Huang Jiuwei Cui Lejie Cao Yunpeng Liu Yiping Zhang Yueyin Pan Jun Zhao LiPing Wang Jianhua Chang Qun Chen Xiubao Ren Wei Zhang Yun Fan Zhiyong He Jian Fang Kangsheng Gu Xiaorong Dong Tao Zhang Wei Shi Jianjun Zou Xuejuan Bai Shengxiang Ren Caicun Zhou | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,12: | 1 |
