1Clinical,Laboratory and Imaging Features of High Altitude Pulmonary Edema in Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Objective To analyze characteristics of high altitude pulmonary edema(HAPE)in Chinese patients.Methods We performed a retrospective study of 98 patients with HAPE.We reviewed the medical records and summarized the clinical,laboratory and imaging characteristics of these cases,and compared the results on admission with those determined before discharge.Results Forty-eight(49.0%)patients developed HAPE at the altitude of 2800 m to 3000 m.Ninty-five(96.9%)patients were man.Moist rales were audible from the both lungs,and moist rales over the right lung were clearer than those over the left lung in fourteen patients.The white blood cells[(12.83±5.55)versus(8.95±3.23)×109/L,P=0.001)]as well as neutrophil counts[(11.34±3.81)versus(7.49±2.83)×109/L,P=0.001)]were higher,whereas the counts of other subsets of white blood cells were lower on admission than those after recovery(all P<0.05).Serum levels of alkaline phosphatase(115.8±37.6 versus 85.7±32.4 mmol/L,P=0.020),cholinesterase(7226.2±1631.8 versus 6285.3±1693.3 mmol/L,P=0.040),creatinine(85.2±17.1 versus 75.1±12.8 mmol/L,P=0.021),uric acid(401.9±114.2 versus 326.0±154.3 mmol/L,P=0.041),and uric glucose(7.20±1.10 versus 5.51±1.11 mmol/L,P=0.001)were higher,but carbondioxide combining power(CO2CP,26.7±4.4 versus 28.9±4.5 mmol/L,P=0.042)and serous calcium(2.32±0.13 versus 2.41±0.10 mmol/L,P=0.006)were lower on admission.Arterial blood gas results showed hypoxemia and respiratory alkalosis on admission.Conclusions In the present research,men were more susceptible to HAPE than women,and in the process of HAPE,the lesions of the right lung were more serious than those of the left lung.Some indicators of routine blood test and blood biochemistry of HAPE patients changed.Zongbin Li Hongyan Chen Jiayue Li Gaoyuan Li Chunwei Liu Yundai Chen 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,3:9
2Early Warning of Acute Altitude Sickness by Physiological Variables and Noninvasive Cardiovascular Indicators显示文摘Objective To examine if the variations at sea level would be able to predict subsequent susceptibility to acute altitude sickness in subjects upon a rapid ascent to high altitude.Methods One hundred and six Han nationality male individuals were recruited to this research.Dynamic electrocardiogram,treadmill exercise test,echocardiography,routine blood examination and biochemical analysis were performed when subjects at sea level and entering the plateau respectively.Then multiple regression analysis was performed to construct a multiple linear regression equation using the Lake Louise Score as dependent variable to predict the risk factors at sea level related to acute mountain sickness(AMS).Results Approximately 49.05%of the individuals developed AMS.The tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion(22.0+2.66 vs.23.2+3.19 mm,t=l.998,P=0.048)was significantly lower in the AMS group at sea level,while count of eosinophil[(0.264+0.393)×109/L vs.(0.126+0.084)×109/L,t=-2.040,P—0.045],percentage of diflerences exceeding 50 ms between adjacent normal number of intervals(PNN50,9.66%±5.40%vs.6.98%±5.66%,t=-2.229,P=0.028)and heart rate variability triangle index(57.1+16.1 vs.50.6+12.7,t=-2.271,P=0.025)were significantly higher.After acute exposure to high altitude,C-reactive protein(0.098+0.103 vs.0.062+0.045 g/L,t=-2.132,P=0.037),aspartate aminotransferase(19.7+6.7275.17,3±3.95 U/L,t=-2.231,P=0.028)and creatinine(85.1±12.9 vs.77.7±11.2 mmol/L,t=3.162,P=0.002)were significantly higher in the AMS group,while alkaline phosphatase(71.7+18.2 vs.80.6+20.2 U/L,t=2.389,P=0.019),standard deviation of normal-to-normal RR intervals(126.5+35.9 vs.143.3+36.4 ms,t—2.320,P—0.022),ejection time(276.9+50.8 vs.313.8+48.9 ms,t—3.641,P—0.001)and heart rate variability triangle index(37.1+12.9 vs.41.9+11.1,t=2.O2O,P=0.047)were significantly lower.Using the Lake Louise Score as the dependent variable,prediction equation were established to estimate AMS:Lake Louise Score=3.783+0.281Xeosinophil-0.219Xalkaline phosphatase+O.O32XPNN50.Conclusions We elucidated the differences of pl^siological variables as well as noninvasive cardiovascular indicators for subjects after high altitude exposure compared with those at sea level.We also created an acute high altitude reaction early warning equation based on the physiological variables and noninvasive cardiovascular indicators at sea level.Zongbin Li Chunwei Liu Jun Guo Yajun Shi Yang Li Jinli Wang Jing Wang Yundai Chen 2020Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,1:8
3Validity and reliability of Chinese version of Fatigue Impact Scale in cerebral infarction patients显示文摘BACKGROUND: Post-stroke fatigue has received much attention recently. Three evaluation scales are available,including the Fatigue Impact Scale (FIS). Yet none of these has been proven to be of use in the evaluation of psychological quality after post-stroke fatigue. OBJECTIVE: To introduce FIS into China,and to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Chinese Version in patients with cerebral infarction. DESIGN: Scale evaluation. SETTING: Department of Rehabilitation,Beijing Friendship Hospital,Capital Medical University. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 330 patients with cerebral infarction were selected from the Department of Neurology,Beijing Friendship Hospital,Capital Medical University from June 2005 to December 2006. All patients met diagnostic standards from the Fourth National Cerebrovascular Disease Academic Meeting of China Medical Association and were diagnosed with CT or MRI examination. Patients who were not willing to accept scale evaluation were excluded. METHODS: The English version of FIS was translated into Chinese and subsequently translated back to English again. FIS was given to the discharged patients,and they returned them upon completion. In-patients completed and immediately returned the FIS. Validity and reliability of the retrieved scales were ascertained with descriptive and inference analysis. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Total scores and subscale scores of FIS. RESULTS: Out of 330 questionnaires,214 valid questionnaires were deemed valid in total. Six components were extracted in factor analysis,and the total cumulative contribution was 73.919%,which suggested the questionnaire was valid. After correlation analysis,6 components were divided into 3 subscales,including cognitive,physical,and social,which was the same as the English version. The Cronbach α value for the three subscales was 0.937 7,0.918 8,and 0.940 6,respectively (> 0.7). 4Seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii infection among patients with hand, foot and mouth disease in Henan, China: a hospital-based study显示文摘Background:The prevalence of infection with Toxoplasma gondii(T.gondii)in humans has been increasing in China due to the growing number of cats in the country.Hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)is a serious public health issue in China and still one of the leading causes of child mortality.However,little is known about the epidemiology of T.gondii infection among HFMD patients.Methods:A case–control study of 281 HFMD patients from the First People’s Hospital of Pingdingshan in Pingdingshan city,Henan province,central China,and 222 controls from Pingdingshan city was conducted.Anti-T.gondii antibodies were serologically detected using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:We found that the overall anti-T.gondii immunoglobulin G(IgG)antibody prevalence among HFMD patients was 12.46%,which was significantly higher than that in clinically healthy children(1.80%).The highest T.gondii seroprevalence was detected in critical cases(22.58%),followed by severe cases(11.50%),and the lowest was detected in mild cases(8.33%).Conclusion:The present study is the first survey of T.gondii seroprevalence among HFMD patients in China;12.46%were defined as seropositive.It is imperative that improved integrated measures are taken to prevent and control T.gondii infection among HFMD patients.Shuai Wang Chunwei Lan Luwen Zhang Haizhu Zhang Zhijun Yao Dong Wang Jingbo Ma Jiarong Deng Shiguo Liu 2015Infectious Diseases of Poverty2015,4,1:5
5Design and Analysis of S-CO_2 Cycle and Radial Turbine for SOFC Vehicle Waste-Heat Recovery显示文摘Solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) vehicles are considered to have broad prospects for development, and the high operating temperature of SOFC results in great potential for waste-heat recovery. Many concepts for utilizing waste heat of SOFC have been suggested and studied, and most of them directly couple an SOFC to a gas turbine, which require the SOFC to operate at an elevated pressure and make the system less flexible and thus harder to operate. In recent years, with the development of turbine and heat exchanger technology, the supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_2) power cycle has raised widespread attractions for the waste recovery. This study explores the potential of S-CO_2 Brayton cycle to realize waste-heat recovery for an SOFC vehicle. The SOFC can operate at atmospheric pressure, and the hybrid system is easier to operate than the directly coupled systems. In this paper, a simple recuperated S-CO_2 Brayton cycle is proposed and the key component, radial inflow turbine is designed and focused. The flow state of the designed turbine is analyzed in detail based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) numerical simulation. Five cases with different impeller tip clearances are numerically simulated to study its influence on the turbine performance. 7Mode selection and high-quality upconversion lasing from perovskite CsPb2Br5 microplates显示文摘In recent years,halide perovskite nanostructures have had great advances and have opened up a bright future for micro/nanolasers.However,upconversion lasing by two-photon excitation with mode selection and high quality factor in one device is still rarely reported.Herein,two lasing modes are demonstrated in the all-inorganic perovskite CsPb2Br5 microplates with subwavelength thickness and uniform square shape.The net optical gain is quickly established in less than 1 ps and persists more than 30 ps,revealed by ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy.The temperature-dependent low-threshold amplified spontaneous emission confirms the net gain for stimulated emission with a high characteristic temperature of 403 K,far surpassing the all-inorganic CsPbBr3 semiconductor gain media.Remarkably,upconversion lasing based on two kinds of microcavity effects,Fabry–Pérot and whispering-gallery modes,from the microplates at room temperature is successfully achieved with a low threshold operating in multi-or single-mode,respectively.Surprisingly,the quality factor(~3551)is among the best values obtained from perovskite micro/nanoplate upconversion lasers without an external cavity.Moreover,the highly stable chromaticity with color drift only less than 0.1 nm also outbalances the all-inorganic CsPbBr3 ones.These superior performances of CsPb2Br5 microplate lasing with a facile solution synthesis procedure will offer a feasible structure to fabricate specific functionalities for high-performance frequency upconversion micro/nanoscale photonic integrated devices.ZHENGZHENG LIU CHUNWEI WANG ZHIPING HU JUAN DU JIE YANG ZEYU ZHANG TONGCHAO SHI WEIMIN LIU XIAOSHENG TANG AND YUXIN LENG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,9:2
8Experimental Study on the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of a Submersible Fish Cage at Various Depths in Waves显示文摘Submersible fish cages can be submerged under the water to mitigate the negative effects that arise from severe sea conditions and improve the growing environment for the farmed fish. Thus they are increasingly applied in offshore aquaculture. To ensure both safety and economic efficiency of submersible fish cages, it is important to determine the optimum submergence depth. In this study, a series of physical model experiments were conducted to investigate the hydrodynamic performance of a submersible fish cage at various submergence depths(1/6, 1/4, 1/3, and 1/2 of the water depth as well as the floating condition for reference) with a model scale of 1:20. The results of the physical model experiment for the different depths were compared to analyze the effects of submergence depths on the mooring line tension and the movement of the floating collar. The results showed that the mooring line tension and the floating collar movement significantly attenuated with increasing submergence depth. However, the attenuation tendency became stable when the fish cage reached a certain depth. According to the results, 1/3 of water depth was determined as the optimal submergence depth of the fish cages. Deeper submergence depths showed no significant advantage from a perspective of the hydrodynamic characteristics of the fish cage. 9Rnf20 deficiency in adipocyte impairs adipose tissue development and thermogenesis显示文摘RNF20,an E3 ligase critical for monoubiquitination of histone H2B at lysine 120(H2Bub),has been implicated in the regulation of various cellar processes;however,its physiological roles in adipocytes remain poorly characterized.Here,we report that the adipocyte-specific knockout of Rnf20(ASKO)in mice led to progressive fat toss,organomegaly and hyperinsulinemia.Despite signs of hyperinsulinemia,normal insulin sensitivity and improved glucose tolerance were observed in the young and aged CD-fed ASKO mice.In addition,high-fat diet-fed ASKO mice developed severe liver steatosis.Moreover,we observed that the ASKO mice were extremely sensitive to a cold environment due to decreased expression levels of brown adipose tissue(BAT)selective genes,including uncoupling protein 1(l/cpf),and impaired mitochondrial functions.Significantly decreased levels of peroxisome proliterator-activated receptor gamma(Ppary)were observed in the gonadal white adipose tissues(gWAT)from the ASKO mice,suggesting that Rnf20 regulates adipogenesis,at least in part,through Ppary.Rosiglitazone-treated ASKO mice exhibited increased fat mass compared to that of the non-treated ASKO mice.Collectively,our results illustrate the critical role of RNF20 in control of white and brown adipose tissue development and physiological function.Xiaojuan Liang Cong Tao Jianfei Pan Lilan Zhang Lulu Liu Ying Zhao Yiping Fan Chunwei Cao Jiali Liu Jin Zhang Sin Man Lam Guanghou Shui Wanzhu Jin Wei Li Jianguo Zhao Kui Li Yanfang Wang 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,6:1

12Improvement of part-load performance of gas turbine by adjusting compressor inlet air temperature and IGV opening显示文摘A novel adjusting method for improving gas turbine(GT)efficiency and surge margin(SM)under partload conditions is proposed.This method adopts the inlet air heating technology,which uses the waste heat of lowgrade heat source and the inlet guide vane(IGV)opening adjustment.Moreover,the regulation rules of the compressor inlet air temperature and the IGV opening are studied comprehensively to optimize GT performance.A model and calculation method for an equilibrium running line is adopted based on the characteristic curves of the compressor and turbine.The equilibrium running lines calculated through the calculation method involve three part-load conditions and three IGVopenings with different inlet air temperatures.The results show that there is an optimal matching relationship between IGV opening and inlet air temperature.For the best GT performance of a given load,the IGV could be adjusted according to inlet air temperature.In addition,inlet air heating has a considerable potential for the improvement of part-load performance of GT due to the increase in compressor efficiency,combustion efficiency,and turbine efficiency as well as turbine inlet temperature,when inlet air temperature is lower than the optimal value with different IGV openings.Further,when the IGV is in a full opening state and an optimal inlet air temperature is achieved by using the inlet air heating technology,GT efficiency and SM can be obviously higher than other IGVopenings.The IGV can be left unadjusted,even when the load is as low as 50%.These findings indicate that inlet air heating has a great potential to replace the IGV to regulate load because GT efficiency and SM can be remarkably improved,which is different from the traditional viewpoints.Wei ZHU Xiaodong REN Xuesong LI Chunwei GU Zhitan LIU Zhiyuan YAN Hongfei ZHU Tao ZHANG 2022Frontiers in Energy2022,16,6:1
13A harlequin ichthyosis pig model with a novel ABCA12 mutation can be rescued by acitretin treatment显示文摘Harlequin ichthyosis (HI) is a severe genetic skin disorder and caused by mutation in the ATP-binding cassette A12 (ABCA12) gene. The retinoid administration has dramatically improved long-term survival of HI, but improvements are still needed. However, the ABCA12 null mice failed to respond to retinoid treatment, which impedes the development of novel cure strategies for HI. Here we generated an ethylnitrosourea mutagenic HI pig model (named Z9), which carries a novel deep intronic mutation IVS49-727 A>G in the ABCA12 gene, resulting in abnormal mRNA splicing and truncated protein production. Z9 pigs exhibit significant clinical symptom as human patients with HI. Most importantly, systemic retinoid treatment significantly prolonged the life span of the mutant pigs via improving epidermal maturation, decreasing epidermal apoptosis, and triggering the expression of ABCA6. 15Experimental and theoretical insight into carbamazepine degradation by chlorine-based advanced oxidation processes:Efficiency,energy consumption,mechanism and DBPs formation显示文摘Chlorine has been widely used in different advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)for micropollutants removal.In this study,different chlorine-based AOPs,namely medium pressure(MP)UV/chlorine,low pressure(LP)UV/chlorine,and in-situ chlorination,were compared for carbamazepine(CBZ)removal efficiency,energy consumption,and disinfection by-products(DBPs)formation.All three processes could achieve nearly 100%CBZ removal,while the reaction time needed by in-situ chlorination was double the time required by UV/chlorine processes.The energy consumed per magnitude of CBZ removed(EE/O)of MP UV/chlorine was 13 times higher than that of LP UV/chlorine,and relative to that of in-situ chlorination process.Accordingly,MP and LP UV/chlorine processes generated one to two orders of magnitude more hydroxyl radicals(^(·)OH)and reactive chlorine species(RCS)than in-situ chlorination.Besides,RCS were the dominant reactive species,contributing to 78.3%,75.6%,and 71.6% of CBZ removal in MP,LP UV/chlorine,and in-situ chlorination,respectively.According to the Gibbs free energy barriers between CBZ and RCS/^(·)OH calculated based on density functional theory(DFT),RCS had more reaction routes with CBZ and showed lower energy barrier in the main CBZ degradation pathways like epoxidation and formation of iminostilbene.When applied to secondary wastewater effluent,UV/chlorine and in-situ chlorination produced overall DBPs ranging from 104.77 to 135.41μg/L.However,the production of chlorate during UV/chlorine processes was 15 times higher than that during in-situ chlorination.Chunwei Liu Zuo Tong How Yue Ju Li Feng Xuefeng Ren Mohamed Gamal El-Din 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,5:0
16Polymeric catalyst with polymerization-enhanced Lewis acidity for CO_(2)-based copolymers显示文摘Ring-opening copolymerization of CO_(2) and epoxides is a promising way to manufacture high value-added materials.Despite a variety of catalyst systems have been reported,the reaction is still limited by low activity and polymer selectivity.Herein,a strategy of polymerization-enhanced Lewis acidity is reported to construct a series of highly efficient polymeric aluminum porphyrin catalysts(PAPCs).The characterization of the coordination equilibrium constant(K_(eq))showed significantly enhanced Lewis acidity of PAPC(K_(eg)=18.2 L/mol)compared to the monomeric counterpart(K_(eq)=6.4 L/mol),accompanied with increased turnover frequency(TOF)from 136 h^(-1) to 5500 h^(-1).Through detailed regulation of Lewis acidity,the highly Lewis acidic PAPC-OTs displayed a record high TOF of 30,200 h^(-1) with polymer selectivity of up to 99%.Pei Chen Hao Zhou Han Cao Chunwei Zhuo Shunjie Liu Xianhong Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,12:0
17Inhibited shuttle effect by functional separator for room-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries显示文摘According to a statistic,approximately 6 trillion cigarettes are smoked each year all over the world,which produces approximately 1.2 million tons of discarded cigarette butts.The discarded cigarette filters are non-biodegradable,thus they produce a mass of waste disposal and cause environmental pollution is-sue.For the purpose of transforming waste into wealth and reducing environmental pollution,nitrogen and sulfur co-doped carbon nanofiber/carbon black(N,S-CNF/CB)composite derived from the discarded cigarette filters is employed to modify glass fiber(GF)separator for the first time in this study.N,S-CNF improves binding ability towards sodium polysulfides(SPSs)by chemisorption.Non-polar CB limits the dissolution of SPSs in the liquid electrolyte by physisorption.The experiment and density functional theory calculation results indicate that a RT-Na/S battery with a N,S-CNF/CB+GF separator exhibits good cycling stability and rate performance.After 100 cycles at a low current rate of 0.1 C,a RT-Na/S battery with a sulfur mass fraction of 71%delivers a discharge capacity of 703 mAh g^(−1).In addition,at a high current rate of 0.5 C,a discharge capacity of 527 mAh g^(−1) is still maintained after 900 cycles with a very low capacity fading rate of 0.035%per cycle.Chunwei Dong Hongyu Zhou Hui Liu Bo Jin Zi Wen Xingyou Lang Jianchen Li Jaekwang Kim Qing Jiang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,18:0

19Polymeric aluminum porphyrin:Controllable synthesis of ultra-low molecular weight CO_(2)-based polyols显示文摘Carbon dioxide-based polyols with ultra-low molecular weight(ULMW,Mn<1000 g/mol)are emergent polyurethane precursors with economic and environmental benefits.However,the lack of effective proton-tolerant catalytic systems limits the development of this field.In this work,the polymeric aluminum porphyrin catalyst(PAPC)system was applied to the copolymerization of CO_(2)and propylene oxide,where sebacic acid,bisphenol A,poly(ethylene glycol),and water were used as chain transfer agents to achieve the controlled synthesis of CO_(2)-polyols.The molecular weight of the resulting CO_(2)-polyols could be facilely regulated in the range of 400–930 g/mol at low catalyst loadings,fully demonstrating its catalytic advantages of high activity,high product selectivity,and excellent proton tolerance of PAPC.Meanwhile,the catalytic efficiency of PAPC could reach up to 2.1–5.2 kg/g under organic CTA conditions,even reaching 1.9 kg/g using water as the CTA.The cPC content could be controlled within 1.0 wt%under the optimized conditions,indicating the excellent controllability of the PAPC system.ULMW CO_(2)-polyols combines the advantages of low viscosity(∼3000 mPa s at 25°C),low glass transition temperature(∼−73°C),and high carbonate unit content(∼40%),which is important for the development of high-performance polyurethanes.Chunwei Zhuo Han Cao Xiaoshen Wang Shunjie Liu Xianhong Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8:0
20Effect of Oregano Carvacrol on Growth Performance of Broiler显示文摘The product of plant essential oil,oregano carvacrol,was added in the diet of broiler,to study the effect of oregano carvacrol on growth performance of broilers. Using single factor test,190 663 individuals of healthy AA broilers at 0 day old were randomly divided into two groups,eight repeats in control group and four repeats in experimental group. The broilers in control group were fed with basal diet( containing 10 mg / kg enramycin and 60 mg / kg salinomycin sodium),and those in experimental groups were fed with the basal diet adding with 100 mg / kg oregano carvacrol. Compared with control group,the daily gain of broilers in experimental group was increased noticeably by 3. 41 g / broiler( P < 0. 05); the slaughter quality was increased remarkably by 143 g / broiler( P < 0. 05); the survival rate was increased significantly by 3. 01%( P < 0. 05); and the feed gain ratio was reduced markedly by 0. 08( P < 0. 05).
