| 1 | Blown sand motion within the sand-control system in the southern section of the Taklimakan Desert Highway显示文摘Although scientists have performed many studies in the Taklimakan Desert, few of them have reported the blown sand motion along the southern edge of the Taklimakan Desert Highway, which differs significantly from the northern region in terms of aeolian sand geomorphology and formation environment. Based on the field observation data of airflow and aeolian sand transport, continuous monitoring data of erosional and depositional processes between 14 April 2009 and 9 April 2011 and data of surface sand grains from the classical section along the southern edge of the Taklimakan Desert Highway, this paper reported the blown sand motion within the sand-control system of the highway. The main results are as follows: 1) The existing sand-control system is highly effective in preventing and controlling desertification. Wind velocities within the sand-control system were approximately 33%–100% of those for the same height above the mobile sand surface. Aeolian sand fluxes were approximately 0–31.21% of those of the mobile sand surface. Sand grains inside the system, with a mean diameter of 2.89 φ, were finer than those(2.15 φ) outside the system. In addition, wind velocities basically followed a logarithmic law, but the airflow along the classical section was mainly determined by topography and vegetation. 2) There were obvious erosional and depositional phenomena above the surface within the sand-control system, and these phenomena have very consistent patterns for all observation points in the two observed years. The total thicknesses of erosion and deposition ranged from 0.30 to 14.60 cm, with a mean value of 3.67 cm. In contrast, the deposition thicknesses were 1.90–22.10 cm, with a mean value of 7.59 cm, and the erosion thicknesses were 3.51–15.10 cm, with a mean value of 8.75 cm. | 2 | Vertically Aligned Silicon Carbide Nanowires/Boron Nitride Cellulose Aerogel Networks Enhanced Thermal Conductivity and Electromagnetic Absorbing of Epoxy Composites显示文摘With the innovation of microelectronics technology, the heat dissipation problem inside the device will face a severe test. In this work, cellulose aerogel(CA) with highly enhanced thermal conductivity(TC) in vertical planes was successfully obtained by constructing a vertically aligned silicon carbide nanowires(SiC NWs)/boron nitride(BN) network via the ice template-assisted strategy. The unique network structure of SiC NWs connected to BN ensures that the TC of the composite in the vertical direction reaches 2.21 W m^(-1) K^(-1) at a low hybrid filler loading of 16.69 wt%, which was increased by 890% compared to pure epoxy(EP). In addition, relying on unique porous network structure of CA, EP-based composite also showed higher TC than other comparative samples in the horizontal direction. Meanwhile, the composite exhibits good electrically insulating with a volume electrical resistivity about 2.35 × 10^(11) Ω cm and displays excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss of-21.5 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth(<-10 dB) from 8.8 to 11.6 GHz. | 4 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 6 | The Promotion Effect of Low-Molecular Hydroxyl Compounds on the Nano-Photoelectrocatalytic Degradation of Fulvic Acid and Mechanism显示文摘A significant promotion effect of low-molecular hydroxyl compounds(LMHCs) was found in the nano-photoelectrocatalytic(NPEC) degradation of fulvic acid(FA),which is a typical kind of humic acid existing widely in natural water bodies,and its influence mechanism was proposed.A TiO_2 nanotube arrays(TNAs) material is served as the photoanode.Methanol,ethanediol,and glycerol were chosen as the representative of LMHCs in this study.The adsorption performance of organics on the surface of TNAs was investigated by using the instantaneous photocurrent value.The adsorption constants of FA,methanol,ethanediol,and glycerol were 43.44,19.32,7.00,and 1.30,respectively,which indicates that FA has the strongest adsorption property.The degradation performance of these organics and their mixture were observed in a thin-layer reactor.It shows that FA could hardly achieve exhausted mineralization alone,while LMHCs could be easily oxidized completely in the same condition.The degradation degree of FA,which is added LMHCs,improves significantly and the best promotion effect is achieved by glycerol.The promotion effect of LMHCs in the degradation of FA could be contributed to the formation of a tremendous amount of hydroxyl radicals in the NPEC process.The hydroxyl radicals could facilitate the complete degradation of both FA and its intermediate products.Among the chosen LMHCs,glycerol molecule which has three hydroxyls could generate the most hydroxyl radicals and contribute the best effective promotion.This work provides a new way to promote the NPEC degradation of FA and a direction to remove humus from polluted water. | Yifan Dong Jinhua Li Xuejin Li Baoxue Zhou | 2016 | Nano-Micro Letters2016,8,4: | 4 |

| 8 | The Inhibition Effect of Tert-Butyl Alcohol on the TiO_2 Nano Assays Photoelectrocatalytic Degradation of Different Organics and Its Mechanism显示文摘The inhibition effect of tert-butyl alcohol(TBA), identified as the·OH radical inhibitor, on the TiO_2 nano assays(TNA) photoelectrocatalytic oxidation of different organics such as glucose and phthalate was reported. The adsorption performance of these organics on the TNA photoelectrode was investigated by using the instantaneous photocurrent value, and the degradation property was examined by using the exhausted reaction. The results showed that glucose exhibited the poor adsorption and easy degradation performance, phthalate showed the strong adsorption and harddegradation, but TBA showed the weak adsorption and was the most difficult to be degraded. The degradation of both glucose and phthalate could be inhibited evidently by TBA. But the effect on glucose was more obvious. The different inhibition effects of TBA on different organics could be attributed to the differences in the adsorption and the degradation property. | 14 | MobSafe:Cloud Computing Based Forensic Analysis for Massive Mobile Applications Using Data Mining显示文摘With the explosive increase in mobile apps, more and more threats migrate from traditional PC client to mobile device. Compared with traditional Win+Intel alliance in PC, Android+ARM alliance dominates in Mobile Internet, the apps replace the PC client software as the major target of malicious usage. In this paper, to improve the security status of current mobile apps, we propose a methodology to evaluate mobile apps based on cloud computing platform and data mining. We also present a prototype system named MobSafe to identify the mobile app's virulence or benignancy. Compared with traditional method, such as permission pattern based method, MobSafe combines the dynamic and static analysis methods to comprehensively evaluate an Android app. In the implementation, we adopt Android Security Evaluation Framework (ASEF) and Static Android Analysis Framework (SAAF), the two representative dynamic and static analysis methods, to evaluate the Android apps and estimate the total time needed to evaluate all the apps stored in one mobile app market. Based on the real trace from a commercial mobile app market called AppChina, we can collect the statistics of the number of active Android apps, the average number apps installed in one Android device, and the expanding ratio of mobile apps. As mobile app market serves as the main line of defence against mobile malwares, our evaluation results show that it is practical to use cloud computing platform and data mining to verify all stored apps routinely to filter out malware apps from mobile app markets. | 15 | C-dots assisted synthesis of gold nanoparticles as labels to catalyze copper deposition for ultrasensitive electrochemical sensing of proteins显示文摘We report an ultrasensitive protocol for electrochemical sensing using the hydroxyl-rich C-dots assisted synthesis of gold nanoparticles(C-dots@AuNP) as labels with copper depositon reaction. The C-dots catalyzing copper deposition reaction was implemented for the first time. We constructed a sandwich-type immunosensor on the chitosan modified glassy carbon electrode(GCE) by glutaraldehyde(GA) crosslinking, with C-dots@AuNP as biolabels. Copper was deposited on the catalytic surfaces of second antibody-conjugated C-dots@AuNP nanoparticles through CuSO_4-ascorbic acid reduction, because both C-dots and AuNPs could strongly catalyze the CuSO_4 and ascorbic acid to form Cu particles, which amplified the detection signal. Then the corresponding antigen was quantified based on simultaneous chemical-dissolution/cathodic-preconcentration of copper for insitu analysis using anodic stripping square wave voltammetry(ASSWV) directly on the modified electrode. Under optimized conditions, these electrodes were employed for sandwich-type immunoanaly sis, pushing the lower limits of detection(LODs)down to the fg mL^(-1) level for human immunoglobulin G(IgG) and cardiac troponin I(cTnI), a cardiac biomarker. | 17 | Perovskite solar cell towards lower toxicity: a theoretical study of physical lead reduction strategy显示文摘The huge performance enhancements of the organometal halide perovskite solar cells(OHPSCs) have appealed enormous attention within recent ten years. Although the rapid growth of the device power conversion efficiency(PCE) has attained over 25%, the contamination of health-hazardous components still holds back its sustainable applications. To reduce the lead usage, many groups have tried chemical lead reduction solutions: substituting the lead by other group 14 metal elements to realize the low-lead OHPSCs. Unfortunately, neither the PCE nor the stability, low-lead OHPSCs all lag far behind the state-ofthe-art conventional lead-based OHPSCs. In this work, we present a physical lead reduction(PLR) concept by reducing the perovskite film thickness to restrict the perovskite hazard risk with minor scarification in device performances. Through the simulation of transfer matrix model, we theoretically demonstrated that by introducing the optical space layer, the device PCE could maintain 96% of the original maximum value while attenuating the perovskite film thickness to one-third. | 18 | Controlled growth of uniform two-dimensional ZnO overlayers on Au(111)and surface hydroxylation显示文摘Ultrathin ZnO nano structures prese nt in teresti ng two-dimensi on al(2D)graphene-like structure in contrast to wurtzite structure in bulk ZnO.Growth on Au(111)has been regarded as a well-established route to the 2D ZnO layers while controlled growth of uniform ZnO nano structures remains as a challe nge.Here,reactive deposition of Zn in O3 and NO2 was employed,which is investigated by sea nning tunneling microscopy and X-ray photoelectr on spectroscopy(XPS).We dem on strate that uniform ZnO mono layer nanoislands and films can be obtained on Au(111)using O3 and uniform ZnO bilayer nanoislands and films form on Au(111)using NO2,respectively.Formation of atomic oxyge n overlayers on Au(111)via exposure to O3 is critical to the formatio n of uniform ZnO mono layer nano structures atop.Near ambient pressure XPS studies revealed that n early full hydroxy lati on occurs on mono layer ZnO structures upon exposure to near ambient pressure water vapor or atomic hydrogen species,while partial surface hydroxylation happens on bilayer ZnO under the same gaseous exposure conditions. | Hao Wu Qiang Fu Yifan Li Yi Cui Rui Wang Nan Su Le Lin Aiyi Dong Yanxiao Ning Fan Yang Xinhe Bao | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,9: | 1 |
