1Developing the Science Product Algorithm Testbed for Chinese Next-Generation Geostationary Meteorological Satellites:Fengyun-4 Series显示文摘Fengyun-4A(FY-4A), the first of the Chinese next-generation geostationary meteorological satellites, launched in2016, offers several advances over the FY-2: more spectral bands, faster imaging, and infrared hyperspectral measurements. To support the major objective of developing the prototypes of FY-4 science algorithms, two science product algorithm testbeds for imagers and sounders have been developed by the scientists in the FY-4 Algorithm Working Group(AWG). Both testbeds, written in FORTRAN and C programming languages for Linux or UNIX systems, have been tested successfully by using Intel/g compilers. Some important FY-4 science products, including cloud mask, cloud properties, and temperature profiles, have been retrieved successfully through using a proxy imager, Himawari-8/Advanced Himawari Imager(AHI), and sounder data, obtained from the Atmospheric Infra Red Sounder, thus demonstrating their robustness. 2Artificial intelligence in drug design显示文摘Thanks to the fast improvement of the computing power and the rapid development of the computational chemistry and biology,the computer-aided drug design techniques have been successfully applied in almost every stage of the drug discovery and development pipeline to speed up the process of research and reduce the cost and risk related to preclinical and clinical trials.Owing to the development of machine learning theory and the accumulation of pharmacological data, the artificial intelligence(AI) technology, as a powerful data mining tool, has cut a figure in various fields of the drug design, such as virtual screening,activity scoring, quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR) analysis, de novo drug design, and in silico evaluation of absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity(ADME/T) properties. Although it is still challenging to provide a physical explanation of the AI-based models, it indeed has been acting as a great power to help manipulating the drug discovery through the versatile frameworks. 6Two novel bocaparvovirus species identified in wild Himalayan marmots显示文摘Bocaparvovirus(BOV) is a genetically diverse group of DNA viruses and a possible cause of respiratory, enteric, and neurological diseases in humans and animals. Here, two highly divergent BOVs(tentatively named as Himalayan marmot BOV,HMBOV1 and HMBOV2) were identified in the livers and feces of wild Himalayan marmots in China, by viral metagenomic analysis. Five of 300 liver samples from Himalayan marmots were positive for HMBOV1 and five of 99 fecal samples from these animals for HMBOV2. Their nearly complete genome sequences are 4,672 and 4,887 nucleotides long, respectively, with a standard genomic organization and containing protein-coding motifs typical for BOVs. Based on their NS1, NP1, and VP1,HMBOV1 and HMBOV2 are most closely related to porcine BOV SX/1-2(approximately 77.0%/50.0%, 50.0%/53.0%, and79.0%/54.0% amino acid identity, respectively). Phylogenetic analysis of these three proteins showed that HMBOV1 and HMBOV2 formed two distinctly independent branches in BOVs. According to these results, HMBOV1 and HMBOV2 are two different novel species in the Bocaparvovirus genus. Their identification expands our knowledge of the genetic diversity and evolution of BOVs. 8Genetic Analysis of Chromosomal Loci Affecting the Content of Insoluble Glutenin in Common Wheat显示文摘In common wheat, insoluble glutenin(IG) is an important fraction of flour glutenin macropolymers, and insoluble glutenin content(IGC)is positively associated with key end-use quality parameters. Here, we present a genetic analysis of the chromosomal loci affecting IGC with the data collected from 90 common wheat varieties cultivated in four environments. Statistical analysis showed that IGC was controlled mainly genetically and influenced by the environment. Among the major genetic components known to affect end-use quality,1BL/1RS translocation had a significantly negative effect on IGC across all four environments. As to the different alleles of Glu-A1,-B1 and-D1 loci, Glu-A1 a, Glu-B1 b and Glu-D1 d exhibited relatively strong positive effects on IGC in all environments. To identify new loci affecting IGC, association mapping with 1355 DAr T markers was conducted. A total of 133 markers were found associated with IGC in two or more environments(P < 0.05), ten of which consistently affected IGC in all four environments. The phenotypic variance explained by the ten markers varied from 4.66% to 8.03%, and their elite alleles performed significantly better than the inferior counterparts in enhancing IGC. Among the ten markers, w Pt-3743 and w Pt-733835 reflected the action of Glu-D1, and w Pt-664972 probably indicated the effect of Glu-A1. The other seven markers, forming three clusters on 2AL, 3BL or 7BL chromosome arms, represented newly identified genetic determinants of IGC. 9Phosphomolybdic acid-modified highly organized TiO2 nanotube arrays with rapid photochromic performance显示文摘TiO2 nanotube arrays were prepared by means of an electrochemical anodization technique in an organic electrolyte solution doped with polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and were subsequently modified with phosphomolybdic acid (PMoA) to obtain PMoA/TiO2 nanotube arrays. The microstructure and photochromic properties were investigated via X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results indicated that the Keggin structure of PMoA and the nanotube structure of TiO2 were not destroyed, and there was a strong degree of interaction between PMoA and TiO2 at the biphasic interface with lattice interlacing during the compositing process. The XPS results further indicated that there was a change in the chemical microenvironment during the formation process of the composite, and a new charge transfer bridge was formed through the Mo-O-Ti bond. Under visible light irradiation, the colorless PMoA/TiO2 nanotube array quickly turned blue and exhibited a photochromic response together with reversible photochromism in the presence of H2O2. 16Enhanced catalytic oxidation of 2,4-dichlorophenol via singlet oxygen dominated peroxymonosulfate activation on CoOOH@Bi_(2)O_(3)composite显示文摘Cobalt oxyhydroxide(CoOOH)has been turned out to be a high-efficiency catalyst for peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation.In this study,CoOOH was loaded on bismuth oxide(Bi_(2)O_(3))using a facile chemical precipitation process to improve its catalytic activity and stability.The result showed that the catalytic performance on the 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP)degradation was significantly enhanced with only 11 wt%Bi_(2)O_(3)loading.The degradation rate in the CoOOH@Bi_(2)O_(3)/PMS system(0.2011 min−1)was nearly 6.0 times higher than that in the CoOOH/PMS system(0.0337 min−1).Furthermore,CoOOH@Bi_(2)O_(3)displayed better stability with less Co ions leaching(16.4%lower than CoOOH)in the PMS system.These phenomena were attributed to the Bi_(2)O_(3)loading which significantly increased the conductivity and specific surface area of the CoOOH@Bi_(2)O_(3)composite.Faster electron transfer facilitated the redox reaction of Co(III)/Co(II)and thus was more favorable for reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation.Meanwhile,larger specific surface area furnished more active sites for PMS activation.More importantly,there were both non-radical(^(1)O_(2))and radicals(SO_(4)^(−)•,O_(2)^(−)•,and OH•)in the CoOOH@Bi_(2)O_(3)/PMS system and^(1)O_(2)was the dominant one.In general,this study provided a simple and practical strategy to enhance the catalytic activity and stability of cobalt oxyhydroxide in the PMS system.Tianhao Xi Xiaodan Li Qihui Zhang Ning Liu Shu Niu Zhaojun Dong Cong Lyu 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,4:1

19RNA-Seq analysis and development of SSR and KASP markers in lentil(Lens culinaris Medikus subsp. culinaris)显示文摘Lentil(Lens culinaris Medikus subsp.culinaris,2 n=14)is a cool-season legume with high production potential for multiple uses.However,limited molecular research has been conducted in this species owing to its large genome,which impedes the generation of genome sequences and the development of molecular markers.In this study,more than 1.37 billion filtered clean reads were collected by RNA-Seq of six diverse lentil accessions and217,836 transcripts and 161,095 unigenes were de novo assembled,yielding respectively 257.1 and 240.6 million nucleotides.The mean transcript length was 1180 bp and the N50 and N90 lengths were respectively 2075 and 479 bp.The mean length of the unigenes was 1494 bp and their N50 and N90 values were respectively 2203 and 714 bp.The unigenes were annotated against seven databases.The FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT)gene homolog in lentil showed high protein sequence similarity to the FT gene homologs of pea and alfalfa.On the basis of the RNA-Seq analysis,26,449 EST-SSR markers were designed in silico,and 276 preliminarily screened markers were selected to evaluate polymorphism in 94 diverse lentil accessions.In total,125(45.29%)of 276 EST-SSR markers were found to be polymorphic.A total of 130,073 SNP loci were detected and 78(61.41%)of 127 SNPs were successfully converted to KASP markers.Population genetic analyses of the lentil accessions with EST-SSR and KASP markers revealed similar genetic structures,suggesting that the RNA-Seq-generated resources and the developed markers are reliable for use in molecular marker-assisted breeding of lentil.Dong Wang Tao Yang Rong Liu Nana Li Xiaomu Wang Ashutosh Sarker Xiaodong Zhang Runfang Li Yanyan Pu Guan Li Yuning Huang Yishan Ji Zhaojun Li Qian Tian Xuxiao Zong Hanfeng Ding 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,6:1
20Zoning strategy of zonal modeling for thermally stratified large spaces显示文摘Large space buildings play a significant role in modern society because of their environmental advantages and market value.While the zonal model is promising for the efficient and rapid evaluation of the stratified thermal environment,there is a lack of a reasonable and convenient zoning strategy with the advent of modern computing.This paper presents a universal and practical zonal model,in which a simplified momentum equation is applied to consider air momentum preservation,transformation,and dissipation.Hence,the zoning structure is generalized and flexible.Moreover,limiting the dimensionless temperature constraint between adjacent zones establishes the connection between thermal nonuniformity and zoning results automatically.Simultaneously,the dimension and number of zones should be restricted within reasonable ranges to satisfy the characteristics of zonal simulation and reach the criteria of convergence.To further explore and validate the zonal model,a reduced-scale experimental model was constructed to replicate the thermal stratification in a mechanically ventilated large space by considering many crucial realistic factors.A particle image velocimetry(PIV)measurement was then conducted to visualize the airflow pattern and support the partition of zones.The results showed that the zonal simulation with adaptive zoning method can realize a similar accuracy with fewer zones and exhibit a better tolerance for zoning results compared to the conventional empirical zoning method.Furthermore,a case study of an atrium was performed to demonstrate the practicality and efficiency of the method for long-term dynamic simulations of complex thermal environments and building energy use.Yanyu Lu Zhaojun Wang Jing Liu Jiankai Dong 2021Building Simulation2021,14,5:1
