| 1 | Adaptive sliding-mode path following control system of the underactuated USV under the influence of ocean currents显示文摘The path-following control of the asymmetry underactuated unmanned surface vehicle(USV) under external disturbances such as unknown constant and irrational ocean currents is discussed, and an adaptive sliding-mode path-following control system is proposed, which comprises a path-variable updated law,a modified integral line-of-sight(ILOS) guidance law based on a time-varying lookahead distance and adaptive feedback linearizing controllers combined with sliding-mode technique. A more accurate USV model without the assumption of having diagonal inertia and damping matrices is first presented, aiming at improving the performance of the path-following control. Next, the coordinate transformation is adopted to decouple the sway dynamic from the rudder angle, and the path-following errors dynamics without non-singular problem are presented in the moving Frenet-Serret frame. Then, based on the cascaded theorem and the adaptive sliding-mode method, the adaptive control law of position errors and course error are designed, among which the lookahead distance and integral gain are all computed as different functions of cross-track error to estimate and compensate the sideslip angle caused by external disturbances adaptively. Finally, according to the Lyapunov and cascaded theorem, the control system proposed is proved to be uniform globally asymptotic stability(UGAS) and uniform semiglobal exponential stability(USGES) when the control objectives are all achieved. | 3 | Surface Flood and Underground Flood in Xiangxi River Karst Basin: Characteristics, Models, and Comparisons显示文摘Xiangxi River Basin, located in western Hubei Province in central China, is a karst ridge-trough area with an inhomogeneous and complicated distribution of water resources. This paper compares the characteristics of surface and subsurface floods in this karst basin, utilizing a one-parameter Darcian model and the traditional exponential model. The observed hydrographs and inferred water components are strikingly similar for surface and subsurface floods. The Darcian model and the exponential model are based on different views of the flood generation process, with the former fitting the entire hydrograph with a single time constant, and the latter fitting only the recession limb with multiple time constants. The main objective of TT-1 is technology demonstration and scientific measurements. The satellite carries out the significant exploration of single-board architecture feasibility validation, and it is tailored to the low-cost philosophy by adopting numerous commercialoff-the-shelf(COTS) components. The satellite is featured with three-axis stabilization control capability. A pitch bias momentum wheel and three magnetic coils are adopted as control actuators.The sun sensors, magnetometers and a three-axis gyro are employed as the measurement sensors.The quaternion estimator(QUEST) and unscented Kalman filter(UKF) method are adopted for the nano-satellite attitude determination. On-orbit data received by ground station is conducted to analysis the performance of attitude determination and control system(ADCS). | 8 | Mechanistic insights into the selective hydrogenation of resorcinol to 1,3-cyclohexanedione over Pd/rGO catalyst through DFT calculation显示文摘In our previous work, graphene-supported Pd catalyst(Pd/rGO) exhibited higher activity and selectivity for the liquid phase selective hydrogenation of resorcinol to 1,3-cyclohexanedione compared with other catalysts. In the present study, further experimental and theoretical investigations were conducted to reveal the reaction mechanism and the catalytic mechanism of Pd/rGO for resorcinol hydrogenation. The effects of graphene nanosheet and the solvent on the reaction were investigated, and the pathway for resorcinol hydrogenation was proposed supported by density functional theory(DFT) calculations. The results showed that the excellent selectivity of Pd/rGO to 1,3-cyclohexanedione was attributed to the strong π–π and p–π interactions between the graphene nanosheet and the benzene ring as well as hydroxyl in resorcinol molecule, which was in agreement with our previous speculation. In weak polar aprotic solvents, solvation free energy had less impact to the π–π and p–π interactions mentioned above. | 11 | CloudLCA: finding the lowest common ancestor in metagenome analysis using cloud computing显示文摘Estimating taxonomic content constitutes a key problem in metagenomic sequencing data analysis.However,extracting such content from high-throughput data of next-generation sequencing is very time-consuming with the currently available software.Here,we present CloudLCA,a parallel LCA algorithm that significantly improves the efficiency of determining taxonomic composition in metagenomic data analysis.Results show that CloudLCA(1)has a running time nearly linear with the increase of dataset magnitude,(2)displays linear speedup as the number of processors grows,especially for large datasets,and(3)reaches a speed of nearly 215 million reads each minute on a cluster with ten thin nodes.In comparison with MEGAN,a well-known metagenome analyzer,the speed of CloudLCA is up to 5 more times faster,and its peak memory usage is approximately 18.5%that of MEGAN,running on a fat node.CloudLCA can be run on one multiprocessor node or a cluster.It is expected to be part of MEGAN to accelerate analyzing reads,with the same output generated as MEGAN,which can be import into MEGAN in a direct way to finish the following analysis.Moreover,CloudLCA is a universal solution for finding the lowest common ancestor,and it can be applied in other fields requiring an LCA algorithm. | Guoguang Zhao Dechao Bu Changning Liu Jing Li Jian Yang Zhiyong Liu Yi Zhao Runsheng Chen | 2012 | Protein & Cell2012,3,2: | 1 |

| 14 | Homogenous metallic deposition regulated by abundant lithiophilic sites in nickel/cobalt oxides nanoneedle arrays for lithium metal batteries显示文摘Although lithium(Li)metal delivers the highest theoretical capacity as a battery anode,its high reactivity can generate Li dendrites and'dead'Li during cycling,resulting in poor reversibility and low Li utilization.Inducing uniform Li plating/stripping is the core of solving these problems.Herein,we design a highly lithiophilic carbon film with an outer sheath of the nanoneedle arrays to induce homogeneous Li plating/stripping.The excellent conductivity and 3D framework of the carbon film not only offer fast charge transport across the entire electrode but also mitigate the volume change of Li metal during cycling.The abundant lithiophilic sites ensure stable Li plating/stripping,thereby inhibiting the Li dendritic growth and'dead'Li formation.The resulting composite anode allows for stable Li stripping/plating under 0.5 mA cm^(-2) with a capacity of 0.5 mA h cm^(-2) for 4000 h and 3 mA cm^(-2) with a capacity of3 mA h cm^(-2) for 1000 h.The Ex-SEM analysis reveals that lithiophilic property is different at the bottom,top,or channel in the structu re,which can regulate a bottom-up uniform Li deposition behavior.Full cells paired with LFP show a stable capacity of 155 mA h g^(-1) under a current density of 0.5C.The pouch cell can keep powering light-emitting diode even under 180°bending,suggesting its good flexibility and great practical applications. | Fenqiang Luo Dawei Xu Yongchao Liao Minghao Chen Shuirong Li Dechao Wang Zhifeng Zheng | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2: | 0 |

| 16 | Decorating ketjen black with ultra-small Mo_(2)C nanoparticles to enhance polysulfides chemisorption and redox kinetics for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The low sulfur utilization and fast capacity fading resulting from the sluggish redox reaction and abominable polysulfides shuttle greatly hinder the practical applications of lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries.Herein, we develop a facile 'in-situ growth' method to decorate ultra-small Mo2 C nanoparticles(USMo2 C) on the surface of Ketjen Black(KB) to functionalize the commercial polypropylene(PP) separators,which can accelerate the redox kinetics of lithium polysulfides conversion and effectively increase the utilization of sulfur for Li-S batteries. Importantly, the US-Mo2 C nanoparticles have abundant sites for chemical adsorption towards polysulfides and the conductive carbon networks of KB have cross-linked pore channels, which can promote electron transport and provide physical barrier and volume expansion space for polysulfides. Due to the combined effects of the US-Mo2 C and KB, Li-S cells employing the multifunctional PP separators modified with KB/US-Mo2 C composite(KB/US-Mo2 C@PP) exhibit a high specific capacity(1212.8 mAh g^(-1) at 0.2 C), and maintain a reversible capacity of 1053.3 m Ah g^(-1) after 100 cycles.More importantly, the KB/US-Mo2 C@PP cells with higher sulfur mass loading of 4.9 mg cm^(-2) have superb areal capacity of 2.3 mAh cm^(-2). | 17 | Revisiting the capacity-fading mechanism of P2-type sodium layered oxide cathode materials during high-voltage cycling显示文摘P2-type sodium layered oxide cathode (Na_(2/3)Ni_(1/3)Mn_(2/3)O_(2)P2-NNMO) has attracted great attention as a promising cathode material for sodium ion batteries because of its high specific capacity. However, this material suffers from a rapid capacity fade during high-voltage cycling. Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain the capacity fade, including intragranular fracture caused by the P2-O2 phase transion, surface structural change, and irreversible lattice oxygen release. Here we systematically investigated the morphological, structural, and chemical changes of P2-NNMO during high-voltage cycling using a variety of characterization techniques. It was found that the lattice distortion and crystal-plane buckling induced by the P2-O2 phase transition slowed down the Na-ion transport in the bulk and hindered the extraction of the Na ions. The sluggish kinetics was the main reason in reducing the accessible capacity while other interfacial degradation mechanisms played minor roles. | 19 | Genome-wide identification of cancer-related polyadenylated and non-polyadenylated RNAs in human breast and lung cell lines显示文摘Eukaryotic mRNAs consist of two forms of transcripts:poly(A)+ and poly(A),based on the presence or absence of poly(A) tails at the 3 end.Poly(A)+ mRNAs are mainly protein coding mRNAs,whereas the functions of poly(A) mRNA are largely unknown.Previous studies have shown that a significant proportion of gene transcripts are poly(A) or bimorphic(containing both poly(A)+ and poly(A) transcripts).We compared the expression levels of poly(A) and poly(A)+ RNA mRNAs in normal and cancer cell lines.We also investigated the potential functions of these RNA transcripts using an integrative workflow to explore poly(A)+ and poly(A) transcriptome sequences between a normal human mammary gland cell line(HMEC) and a breast cancer cell line(MCF-7),as well as between a normal human lung cell line(NHLF) and a lung cancer cell line(A549).The data showed that normal and cancer cell lines differentially express these two forms of mRNA.Gene ontology(GO) annotation analyses hinted at the functions of these two groups of transcripts and grouped the differentially expressed genes according to the form of their transcript.The data showed that cell cycle-,apoptosis-,and cell death-related functions corresponded to most of the differentially expressed genes in these two forms of transcripts,which were also associated with the cancers.Furthermore,translational elongation and translation functions were also found for the poly(A) protein-coding genes in cancer cell lines.We demonstrate that poly(A) transcripts play an important role in cancer development. | ZHAO GuoGuang JIAO Fei LIAO Qi LUO HaiTao LI Hui SUN Liang BU DeChao YU KunTao ZHAO Yi CHEN RunSheng | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,6: | 0 |
