| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 3 | Acupuncture at the Taixi(KI3) acupoint activates cerebral neurons in elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment显示文摘Our previous findings have demonstrated that acupuncture at the Taixi(KI3) acupoint in healthy youths can activate neurons in cognitive-related cerebral cortex. Here, we investigated whether acupuncture at this acupoint in elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment can also activate neurons in these regions. Resting state and task-related functional magnetic resonance imaging showed that the pinprick senstation of acupuncture at the Taixi acupoint differed significantly between elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment and healthy elderly controls. Results showed that 20 brain regions were activated in both groups of participants, including the bilateral anterior cingulate gyrus(Brodmann areas [BA] 32, 24), left medial frontal cortex(BA 9, 10, 11), left cuneus(BA 19), left middle frontal gyrus(BA 11), left lingual gyrus(BA 18), right medial frontal gyrus(BA 11), bilateral inferior frontal gyrus(BA 47), left superior frontal gyrus(BA11), right cuneus(BA 19, 18), right superior temporal gyrus(BA 38), left subcallosal gyrus(BA 47), bilateral precuneus(BA 19), right medial frontal gyrus(BA 10), right superior frontal(BA 11), left cingulate gyrus(BA 32), left precentral gyrus(BA 6), and right fusiform gyrus(BA 19). These U deposits are usually hosted in unvarying horizons within the basins and exhibit typical U-forming sedimentary associations,which is referred to as U-bearing rock series. This study describes the structural features of U-bearing rock series within the main Mesozoic-Cenozoic Uproducing continental basins in Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan,and Russia in the western segment of the Central Asian Metallogenic Belt(CAMB),and Northern China in the eastern segment of the CAMB. We analyze the basic structural conditions and sedimentary environments of U-bearing rock series in Northern China and classify their structural styles in typical basins into river valley,basin margin,and intrabasin uplift margin types. The intrabasin uplift margin structural style proposed in this study can be used to indicate directions for the exploration of sandstone-type U deposits hosted in the center of a basin. | 14 | Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. | 15 | Neuroimaging mechanisms of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for treatment of amnestic mild cognitive impairment:a double-blind randomized sham-controlled trial显示文摘Individuals with amnestic mild cognitive impairment(aMCI)have a high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.Although repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)is considered a potentially effective treatment for cognitive impairment in patients with aMCI,the neuroimaging mechanisms are poorly understood.Therefore,we performed a double-blind randomized sham-controlled trial in which rTMS was applied to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex of aMCI patients recruited from a community near the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University,China.Twenty-four patients with aMCI were randomly assigned to receive true rTMS(treatment group,n=12,6 men and 6 women;age 65.08±4.89 years)or sham stimulation(sham group,n=12,5 men and 7 women;age 64.67±4.77 years).rTMS parameters included a stimulation frequency of 10 Hz,stimulation duration of 2 seconds,stimulation interval of 8 seconds,20 repetitions at 80%of the motor threshold,and 400 pulses per session.rTMS/sham stimulation was performed five times per week over a period of 4 consecutive weeks.Our results showed that compared with baseline,Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores were significantly increased and the value of the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF)was significantly increased at the end of treatment and 1 month after treatment.Compared with the sham group,the ALFF values in the right inferior frontal gyrus,triangular part of the inferior frontal gyrus,right precuneus,left angular gyrus,and right supramarginal gyrus were significantly increased,and the ALFF values in the right superior frontal gyrus were significantly decreased in the treatment group.These findings suggest that high-frequency rTMS can effectively improve cognitive function in aMCI patients and alter spontaneous brain activity in cognitive-related brain areas.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Shenzhen Baoan Hospital of Southern Medical University,China(approval No.BYL20190901)on September 3,2019 and registered in the Chinese Clinical Trials Registry(registration No.ChiCTR1900028180)on December 14,2019. | Li-Qiong Yuan Qing Zeng Dan Wang Xiu-Yun Wen Yu Shi Fen Zhu Shang-Jie Chen Guo-Zhi Huang | 2021 | Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,4: | 6 |

| 19 | Study on the effect of RDX content on the properties of nitramine propellant显示文摘Four kinds of nitroamine propellants with different RDX contents(10%,20%,30%and 40%)were prepared to study the effect of RDX content on the mechanical properties and combustion properties of nitroamine propellant.The mechanical properties and combustion properties of nitroamine propellant at the normal temperature(20C)and low temperature(à40C)were test by using impact testing machine,drop hammer impact test machine and closed bomb vessel.The test results show that the impact strength of30%RDX-contained nitramine propellant is maximum,but 40%RDX-contained nitramine propellant has the minimum impact strength.And the crushing height of propellant with 20%RDX-contained was the highest,but the crushing height of propellant with 40%RDX-contained the lowest.With the increase in RDX content in nitramine propellant,the energy of nitramine propellant increases and its burning rate reduces,but 40%RDX-contained nitramine propellant did not meet this trend at the low temperature because of its poor mechanical properties. | Fen ZHANG Deng-pan ZHU Qiong LIU Zhi-tao LIU Ping DU | 2017 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2017,13,4: | 4 |
| 20 | Inhibition of miR-135a-5p attenuates vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and vascular remodeling in hypertensive rats显示文摘Proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)greatly contributes to vascular remodeling in hypertension.This study is to determine the roles and mechanisms of miR-135a-5p intervention in attenuating VSMC proliferation and vascular remodeling in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHRs).MiR-135a-5p level was raised,while fibronectin type III domain-containing 5(FNDC5)mRNA and protein expressions were reduced in VSMCs of SHRs compared with those of Wistar–Kyoto rats(WKYs).Enhanced VSMC proliferation in SHRs was inhibited by miR-135a-5p knockdown or miR-135a-5p inhibitor,but exacerbated by miR-135a-5p mimic.VSMCs of SHRs showed reduced myofilaments,increased or even damaged mitochondria,increased and dilated endoplasmic reticulum,which were attenuated by miR-135a-5p inhibitor.Dual-luciferase reporter assay shows that FNDC5 was a target gene of miR-135a-5p.Knockdown or inhibition of miR-135a-5p prevented the FNDC5 downregulation in VSMCs of SHRs,while miR-135a-5p mimic inhibited FNDC5 expressions in VSMCs of both WKYs and SHRs.FNDC5 knockdown had no significant effects on VSMC proliferation of WKYs,but aggravated VSMC proliferation of SHRs.Exogenous FNDC5 or FNDC5 overexpression attenuated VSMC proliferation of SHRs,and prevented miR-135a-5p mimic-induced enhancement of VSMC proliferation of SHR.MiR-135a-5p knockdown in SHRs attenuated hypertension,normalized FNDC5 expressions and inhibited vascular smooth muscle proliferation,and alleviated vascular remodeling.These results indicate that miR-135a-5p promotes while FNDC5 inhibits VSMC proliferation in SHRs.Silencing of miR-135a-5p attenuates VSMC proliferation and vascular remodeling in SHRs via disinhibition of FNDC5 transcription.Either inhibition of miR-135a-5p or upregulation of FNDC5 may be a therapeutically strategy in attenuating vascular remodeling and hypertension. | Chao Ye Ying Tong Nan Wu Guo-wei Wan Fen Zheng Jing-yu Chen Jian-zhen Lei Hong Zhou Ai-dong Chen Jue-jin Wang Qi Chen Yue-hua Li Yu-ming Kang Guo-qing Zhu | 2021 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,11: | 4 |
