1Anthropogenic emission inventories in China:a review显示文摘The development of reliable anthropogenic emission inventories is essential for both understanding the sources of air pollution and designing effective air-pollution-control measures in China. However, it is challenging to quantify emissions in China accurately, given the variety of contributing sources, the complexity of the technology mix and the lack of reliable measurements. Over the last two decades,tremendous efforts have been made to improve the accuracy of emission inventories, and significant improvements have been realized. More reliable statistics and survey-based data have been used to reduce the uncertainties in activity rates and technology distributions. Local emission factors and source profiles covering various sources have been measured and reported. Based on these local databases, improved emission inventory models have been developed for power plants, large industrial plants and the residential,transportation and agricultural sectors. In this paper, we review the progress that has been made in developing inventories of anthropogenic emissions in China. We first highlight the major updates that have been made to emission inventory models and the underlying data by source category. We then summarize the sector-based estimates of emissions of different species contained in current inventories. The progress that has been made in the development of model-ready emissions is also presented. 2Seroepidemiological Investigation of Lyme Disease and Human Granulocytic Anaplasmosis among People Living in Forest Areas of Eight Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Lyme disease and Human granulocytic anaplasmosis are tick‐borne diseases caused by Borrelia burgdorferi and Anaplasma phagocytophilum respectively. We have investigated infection and co-infection of the two diseases in the population of forest areas of eight provinces in China by measuring seroprevalence of antibodies against B. burgdorferi and A. phagocytophilum. Methods Forest areas in 8 provinces were chosen for investigation using whole sampling and questionnaire survey methods. 3 669 serum samples from people in the forest areas were tested for the presence of antibodies by indirect immunofluorescent assay (IFA). Results Seroprevalence against B. burgdorferi was 3% to 15% and against A. phagocytophilum was 2% to 18% in the study sites in the 8 provinces in China. We also found co-infection of B. burgdorferi and A. phagocytophilum in 7 of the 8 provinces (the exception being the Miyun area in Beijing). The seroprevalence for both B. burgdorferi and A. phagocytophilum was significantly higher among people exposed to ticks than among people who were not exposed to ticks. 4Pharmacokinetics of the prototype and hydrolyzed carboxylic forms of ginkgolides A, B, and K administered as a ginkgo diterpene lactones meglumine injection in beagle dogs显示文摘Ginkgo diterpene lactones meglumine injection(GDLI)is a commercially available product used for neuroprotection.However,the pharmacokinetic properties of the prototypes and hydrolyzed carboxylic forms of the primary components in GDLI,i.e.,ginkgolide A(GA),ginkgolide B(GB),and ginkgolide K(GK),have never been fully evaluated in beagle dogs.In this work,a simple,sensitive,and reliable method based on ultra-fast liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UFLC-MS/MS)was developed,and the prototypes and total amounts of GA,GB,and GK were determined in beagle dog plasma.The plasma concentrations of the hydrolyzed carboxylic forms were calculated by subtracting the prototype concentrations from the total lactone concentrations.For the first time,the pharmacokinetics of GA,GB,and GK were fully assessed in three forms,i.e.,the prototypes,the hydrolyzed carboxylic forms,and the total amounts,after intravenous administration of GDLI in beagle dogs.It was shown that ginkgolides primarily existed in the hydrolyzed form in plasma,and the ratio of hydrolysates to prototype forms of GA and GB decreased gradually to a homeostatic ratio.All of the three forms of the three ginkgolides showed linear exposure of AUC to the dosages.GA,GB,and GK showed a constant half-life approximately 2.7,3.4,and 1.2 h,respectively,which were consistent for the forms at three dose levels(0.3,1.0,and 3.0 mg·kg^(-1))and after a consecutive injection of GDLI for 7 days(1.0 mg·kg^(-1)).WANG Shu-Yao A Ji-Ye FEI Fei GENG Jian-Liang PENG Ying OUYANG Bing-Chen WANG Pei JIN Xiao-Liang ZHAO Yu-Qing WANG Jian-Kun GENG Ting LI Yan-Jing HUA NG Wen-Zhe WANG Zhen-Zhong XIAO Wei WANG Guang-Ji 2017Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2017,15,10:9
5Clinical Application of Chromosome Microarray Analysis in Han Chinese Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders显示文摘Chromosome microarray analysis(CMA) is a cost-effective molecular cytogenetic technique that has been used as a first-line diagnostic test in neurodevelopmental disorders in the USA since 2011. The impact of CMA results on clinical practice in China is not yet well studied, so we aimed to better evaluate this phenomenon.We analyzed the CMA results from 434 patients in our clinic, and characterized their molecular diagnoses, clinical features, and follow-up clinical actions based on these results. The overall diagnostic yield for our patients was 13.6%(59 out of 434). This gave a detection rate of 14.7%for developmental delay/intellectual disability(DD/ID,38/259) and 12% for autism spectrum disorders(ASDs,21/175). Thirty-three recurrent(n≥2) variants were found, distributed at six chromosomal loci involving known chromosome syndromes(such as DiGeorge, Williams Beuren, and Angelman/Prader-Willi syndromes).The spectrum of positive copy number variants in our study was comparable to that reported in Caucasian populations, but with specific characteristics. Parental origin tests indicated an effect involving a significant maternal transmission bias to sons. The majority of patients with positive results(94.9%) had benefits, allowing earlier diagnosis(36/59), prioritized full clinical management(28/59), medication changes(7/59), a changed prognosis(30/59), and prenatal genetic counseling(15/59). Our results provide information on de novo mutations in Chinese children with DD/ID and/or ASDs. Our data showed that microarray testing provides immediate clinical utility for patients. 8Estimates of Tuberculosis Mortality Rates in China Using the Disease Surveillance Point System,2004-2010显示文摘Objective To understand the current status and trends of tuberculosis mortality rates in China.Methods In 2010,161 National Disease Surveillance Points representing all 31 mainland provinces,municipalities,and autonomous regions of China collected tuberculosis mortality surveillance data,including age,sex,region,and type of tuberculosis(all,pulmonary,and extra-pulmonary).The mortality rates of the three types of tuberculosis were compared between 2004 and 2010.Results In 2010,the mortality rates due to all tuberculosis,pulmonary tuberculosis,and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis were 4.69(95% Cl 4.54-4.84),4.38(4.23-4.52),and 0.31(0.27-0.35) per 100 000 population,respectively.Mortality rates due to all tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis were higher in males,the elderly,and those living in western and rural areas.From 2004 to 2010,the mortality rates due to all tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis decreased by 36.02% and 37.70%,respectively,with an average annual rate of decline of 7.20% and 7.61%,respectively.Conclusion Mortality rates due to tuberculosis have declined rapidly in China.The target of reducing the 1990 mortality rate by 50% by 2015 has already been achieved.However,the tuberculosis control program should pay more attention to high-risk groups,including the elderly and those living in underdeveloped areas.ZHANG Hui HUANG Fei CHEN We DU Xin ZHOU Mai Geng HU Jia WANG Li Xia 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,4:7

11Genetic characteristics and pathogenicity of human hepatitis E virus in Nanjing,China显示文摘AIM:To investigate the genetic characteristics and pathogenicity of hepatitis E virus (HEV) and assess the potential risk factors for sporadic hepatitis E.METHODS:Sixty-two serum samples from the patients with acute hepatitis E were collected,including 23 cases coinfected with hepatitis B virus.Anti-HEV detection and partial HEV RNA amplification were performed by enzyme immunoassays and reverse transcriptionnested polymerase chain reaction (RT-nPCR) method,respectively,and PCR products were sequenced.The isolated human HEV sequences were analyzed phylogenetically.RESULTS:The positive rate of serum HEV RNA were 21.0% (13/62),including 5 cases of liver failure.All the 13 isolates shared a 82.1%-98.0% nucleotide homology with each other and had identities of 74.7%-81.0%,75.3%-78.6%,75.3%-80.0% and 82.1%-96.1% with the corresponding regions of HEV genotypes 1-4,respectively.The human HEV strain GS-NJ-12 shared a 100% nucleotide identity with the swine HEV strain swIM6-43 isolated from Inner Mongolia,China.CONCLUSION:Swine may be a principal risk factor for occurrence of sporadic hepatitis E in eastern China,and genotype 4 HEV can induce acute liver failure.lia-Bao Geng Mao-Rong Wang Jie Wang Zhi-Guo Yang Yan Cheng Fei Qiao Min Wang 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,9:5

13The Cellular Toxicity of PM_(2.5) Emitted from Coal Combustion in Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells显示文摘Objective To explore the relationship between different components of fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))emitted from coal combustion and their cytotoxic effect in the vascular endothelial cells.Methods Coal-fired PM_(2.5) was sampled using a fixed-source dilution channel and flow sampler.The sample components were analyzed by ion chromatography and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy(ICP-AES).The PM_(2.5) suspension was extracted using an ultrasonic water-bath method and then human umbilical vein endothelial cells(EA.hy926)were treated with various concentrations of the PM_(2.5) suspension.Cell proliferation,oxidative DNA damage,and global DNA methylation levels were used to measure the cellular toxicity of PM_(2.5) emitted from coal combustion.Results Compared to other types of coal-fired PM_(2.5) preparations,the PM_(2.5) suspension from Yinchuan coal had the highest cytotoxicity.PM_(2.5) suspension from Datong coal had the highest toxic effect while that from Yinchuan coal had the lowest.Exposure to coal-fired PM_(2.5) from Jingxi coal resulted in lower8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OHd G)levels.At the same dose,PM_(2.5) emitted from coal combustion could produce more severe DNA impairment compared to that produced by carbon black.Cell survival rate was negatively correlated with chloride and potassium ions content.The 5-methylcytosine(5-m C)level was positively correlated with Mn and negatively correlated with Zn levels.The 8-OHd G%level was positively correlated with both Mn and Fe.Conclusion PM_(2.5) emitted from coal combustion can decrease cell viability,increase global DNA methylation,and cause oxidative DNA damage in EA.hy926 cells.Metal components may be important factors that influence cellular toxicity.WANG Fei Fei GENG Chun Mei HAO Wei Dong ZHAO Yong Dong LI Qin WANG Hong Mei QIAN Yan 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,2:5
14Improved Stiffness Modeling for An Exechon‑Like Parallel Kinematic Machine(PKM)and Its Application显示文摘Hole drilling or contour milling for the large and complex workpieces such as automobile panels and aircraft fuselages makes a high combined demand on machining accuracy,stiffness and workspace of machining equipment.Therefore,a 5-DOF(degrees of freedom)parallel kinematic machine(PKM)with redundant constraints is proposed.Based on the kinematics analysis of the parallel mechanism using intermediate variables,the kinematics problems of the PKM are solved through equivalent kinematics model.The structural stiffness matrix method is adopted to model the stiffness of the parallel mechanism of the PKM,where the stiffness of each joint and branch component is obtained by stiffness formula and finite element analysis.And the stiffness model of the parallel mechanism is improved by correction coefficient matrix,each element of which is constructed as a polynomial function of three independent end variables of the parallel mechanism.The terminal stiffness matrices obtained by simulation result are used to determine the coefficients of polynomial function by least square fitting to describe the correction coefficient over the workspace of the parallel mechanism quantitatively.The experiment results prove that the modification method can greatly improve the stiffness model of the parallel mechanism.To enhance the machining accuracy of the PKM,the proposed kinematics model and the improved stiffness model are utilized to optimize the working stiffness of parallel machine by searching the best relative position of parallel machine and workpiece.A plate workpiece taken as example is examined in the case study section,which demonstrates the effectiveness of optimization method.Nanyan Shen Liang Geng Jing Li Fei Ye Zhuang Yu Zirui Wang 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,3:4

17Vanadium-based metal-organic frameworks and their derivatives for electrochemical energy conversion and storage显示文摘With the excessive consumption of nonrenewable resources,the exploration of effective and durable materials is highly sought after in the field of sustainable energy conversion and storage system.In this aspect,metalorganic frameworks(MOFs)are a new class of crystalline porous organicinorganic hybrid materials.MOFs have recently been gaining traction in energy-related fields.Owing to the coordination flexibility and multiple accessible oxidation states of vanadium ions or clusters,vanadium-MOFs(V-MOFs)possess unique structural characteristics and satisfactory electrochemical properties.Furthermore,V-MOFs-derived materials also exhibit superior electrical conductivity and stability when used as electrocatalysts and electrode materials.This review summarizes the research progress of V-MOFs(inclusive of pristine V-MOFs,V/M-MOFs,and POVbased MOFs)and their derivatives(vanadium oxides,carbon-coated vanadium oxide,vanadium phosphate,vanadate,and other vanadium doped nanomaterials)in electrochemical energy conversion(water splitting,oxygen reduction reaction)and energy storage(supercapacitor,rechargeable battery).Future possibilities and challenges for V-MOFs and their derivatives in terms of design and synthesis are discussed.Lastly,their applications in energy-related fields are also highlighted.Jing Zhu Xiaoyu Chen Ai Qin Thang Fei‐Long Li Dong Chen Hongbo Geng Xianhong Rui Qingyu Yan 2022SmartMat2022,3,3:2
18Prevalence of and risk factors for tuberculosis among healthcare workers in Chinese tuberculosis facilities显示文摘Background:China is one of 22 countries with a high tuberculosis(TB)burden in the world.Healthcare workers(HCWs)have a high risk of contracting Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection due to insufficient infection control practices.We conducted a cross-sectional study to explore the prevalence of TB and its associated risk factors among HCWs in Chinese TB facilities.Methods:Two hundred and forty-one TB facilities employing a total of 9663 HCWs were selected from 12 provinces in China to represent healthcare settings at the provincial,prefectural,and county levels.Structured questionnaires were used to collect information on TB infection control practices and HCWs in those facilities.Data was double entered into EpiData 3.1;TB prevalence and associated risk factors were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 with bivariate and multivariate regression models.Results:The results showed that 71 HCWs had been diagnosed with TB,accounting for a prevalence of 760/100000.The multivariate analysis showed that associated risk factors included belonging to the age group of 51 years and above(aOR:6.17,95%CI:1.35-28.28),being a nurse(aOR=3.09,95%CI:1.15-8.32),implementation of 0-9 items of management measures(aOR=2.57,95%CI:1.37-4.80),and implementation of 0-1 items of ventilation measures(aOR=2.42,95%CI:1.31-4.47).Conclusion:This was the first national large sampling survey on TB prevalence among HCWs in China.It was found that the implementation of TB infection control practices in some facilities was poor.The TB prevalence in HCWs was higher than that in the general population.Therefore,TB infection control practices in Chinese medical facilities should be strengthened.Xiao-Ning Wang Tian-Lun He Meng-Jie Geng Yu-Dan Song Ji-Chun Wang Min Liu Sarah Jayne Hoosdally Ana Luíza Gibertoni Cruz Fei Zhao Yu Pang Yan-Lin Zhao Guang-Xue He 2018Infectious Diseases of Poverty2018,7,1:2

20Arctic sea ice thickness variations from CryoSat-2 satellite altimetry data显示文摘Arctic sea ice plays an important role in Earth's climate and environmental system.Sea ice thickness is one of the most important sea ice parameters.Accurately obtaining the sea ice thickness and its changes has great significance to Arctic and global change research.Satellite altimeters can be used to derive long-term and large-scale changes in sea ice thickness.The leads detection is vital in sea ice thickness estimation by using satellite altimetry.Different leads detection methods are compared with remote sensing images,and results show that the detection method that uses waveform parameters can obtain improved results.The model for the conversion of freeboard to thickness is optimized by considering the incomplete penetration of snow for radar altimeters.We derive the estimates of the Arctic sea ice thickness for November 2010 to December 2019 by using the CryoSat-2 altimetry data.The sea ice thickness from the IceBridge and draft data from the upward-looking sonar are used to validate our thickness results.Validations show that the accuracy of our thickness estimates is within 0.2 m.Variations in the Arctic sea ice thickness are analyzed using the PIOMAS model and air and sea surface temperatures.A sharp increase in sea ice thickness is found in 2014.Feng XIAO Shengkai ZHANG Jiaxing LI Tong GENG Yue XUAN Fei LI 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,7:2
