2Fringe pattern analysis using deep learning显示文摘In many optical metrology techniques,fringe pattern analysis is the central algorithm for recovering the underlying phase distribution from the recorded fringe patterns.Despite extensive research efforts for decades,how to extract the desired phase information,with the highest possible accuracy,from the minimum number of fringe patterns remains one of the most challenging open problems.Inspired by recent successes of deep learning techniques for computer vision and other applications,we demonstrate for the first time,to our knowledge,that the deep neural networks can be trained to perform fringe analysis,which substantially enhances the accuracy of phase demodulation from a single fringe pattern.The effectiveness of the proposed method is experimentally verified using carrier fringe patterns under the scenario of fringe projection profilometry.Experimental results demonstrate its superior performance,in terms of high accuracy and edge-preserving,over two representative single-frame techniques:Fourier transform profilometry and windowed Fourier transform profilometry.Shijie Feng Qian Chen Guohua Gu Tianyang Tao Liang Zhang Yan Hu Wei Yin Chao Zuo 2019Advanced Photonics2019,1,2:31
3Efficacy and safety of a novel anti-HER2 therapeutic antibody RC48 in patients with HER2-overexpressing,locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer:a single-arm phase II study显示文摘Background:Current treatment options for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing gastric cancer at third-line have shown limited clinical benefit.Further,there is no specific treatment for HER2 immunohistochemistry(IHC)2+and fluorescence in-situ hybridization-negative patients.Here,we report the efficacy and safety of a novel anti-HER2 antibody RC48 for patients with HER2-overexpressing,advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer.Methods:Patients with HER2-overexpressing(IHC 2+or 3+),locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer who were under at least second-line therapy were eligible and received RC482.5 mg/kg alone every 2 weeks.The primary endpoint was the objective response rate(ORR)assessed by an independent review committee.Secondary endpoints included progressionfree survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),duration of response,time to progression,disease control rate,and safety.Results:Of 179 patients screened,125 were eligible and received RC48 treatment.The ORR was 24.8%(95%confidence interval[CI]:17.5%-33.3%).The median PFS and OS were 4.1 months(95%CI:3.7-4.9 months)and 7.9 months(95%CI:6.7-9.9 months),respectively.The most frequently reported adverse events were decreased white blood cell count(53.6%),asthenia(53.6%),hair loss(53.6%),decreased neutrophil count(52.0%),anemia(49.6%),and increased aspartate aminotransferase level(43.2%).Serious adverse events(SAEs)occurred in 45(36.0%)patients,and RC48-related SAEs were mainly decreased neutrophil count(3.2%).Seven patients had adverse events that led to death were not RC48-related.Conclusions:RC48 showed promising activity with manageable safety,suggesting potential application in patients with HER2-overexpressing,advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer who have previously received at least two lines of chemotherapy.Zhi Peng Tianshu Liu Jia Wei Airong Wang Yifu He Liuzhong Yang Xizhi Zhang Nanfeng Fan Suxia Luo Zhen Li Kangsheng Gu Jianwei Lu Jianming Xu Qingxia Fan Ruihua Xu Liangming Zhang Enxiao Li Yuping Sun Guohua Yu Chunmei Bai Yong Liu Jiangzheng Zeng Jieer Ying Xinjun Liang Nong Xu Chao Gao Yongqian Shu Dong Ma Guanghai Dai Shengmian Li Ting Deng Yuehong Cui Jianmin Fang Yi Ba Lin Shen 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,11:29
4Genetic analysis and gene fine mapping for a rice novel mutant(rl_(9(t)))with rolling leaf character显示文摘Leaf shape is an important parameter for ideotype breeding in rice, and the rolling of leaf is also beneficial to efficient ripening of grains. This encourages the explorations of new genes that regulate leaf shape. In this study, genetic analysis and gene mapping were carried out for a novel rolling leaf mutant identified from japonica variety Zhonghua 11. The SSR marker analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene (rl9(t)) lo- cated on chromosome 9. Fine mapping of the Rl9(t) locus was conducted with 30 new STS markers de- veloped around Rl9(t) anchored region based on the sequence diversity between Nipponbare and 93-11. The fine mapping necessitated the contruction of a PAC contig encompassing the Rl9(t) locus, which was delimited to a 42 kb region. 6Genetic analysis and molecular mapping of a presenescing leaf gene psll in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘A rice psl1 (presenescing leaf) mutant was obtained from a japonica variety Zhonghua 11 via radiation of 60Co-γ in M2 generation. Every leaf of the mutant began to wither after it reached the big-gest length,while the leaves of the wild variety could keep green for 25―35 d. In this study,genetic analysis and gene mapping were carried out for the mutant identified. The SSR marker analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene (psl1) located on chromosome 2. Fine mapping of the psl1 locus was conducted with 34 new STS markers developed around psl1 anchored region based on the sequence diversity between Nippon-bare and 93-11. The psl1 was further mapped be-tween two STS markers,STS2-19 and STS2-26,with genetic distances of 0.43 and 0.11 cM,respectively,while cosegregated with STS2-25. A BAC contig was found to span the psl1 locus,the region being delim-ited to 48 kb. 7Bio-leaching effects of Leptospirillum ferriphilum on the surface chemical properties of pyrite显示文摘Leptospirillum ferriphilum cultured using different energy sources(either soluble ferrous ion or pyrite) changed the surface properties of pyrite.Cell adsorption,zeta-potential,hydrophobicty,FT-IR spectra and surface morphology were investigated.Adhesion of bacterial cells to the pyrite surface is a fast process.Furthermore,the adsorption of cells grown in pyrite is greater than of cells grown in soluble ferrous ion.The Iso-Electric Point(IEP) of pyrite treated with L.ferriphilum approaches that of the cells themselves.The contact angle of the pyrite surface was observed to decrease due to the surface formation of some hydrophilic substances during bio-leaching.Changes in pyrite surface properties after bacterial treatment support the idea that ferric ion plays an important role and that indirect bio-oxidation is the principal mechanism of pyrite bio-leaching.GU, Guohua SU, Lijun CHEN, Minglian SUN, Xiaojun ZHOU, Hongbo 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,2:14

9Genetic and biological characteristics of the globally circulating H5N8 avian influenza viruses and the protective efficacy offered by the poultry vaccine currently used in China显示文摘The H5N8 avian influenza viruses have been widely circulating in wild birds and are responsible for the loss of over 33 million domestic poultry in Europe, Russia, Middle East, and Asia since January 2020. To monitor the invasion and spread of the H5N8 virus in China, we performed active surveillance by analyzing 317 wild bird samples and swab samples collected from 41,172 poultry all over the country. We isolated 22 H5N8 viruses from wild birds and 14 H5N8 viruses from waterfowls. Genetic analysis indicated that the 36 viruses formed two different genotypes: one genotype viruses were widely detected from different wild birds and domestic waterfowls;the other genotype was isolated from a whopper swan. We further revealed the origin and spatiotemporal spread of these two distinct H5N8 virus genotypes in 2020 and 2021. Animal studies indicated that the H5N8 isolates are highly pathogenic to chickens, mildly pathogenic in ducks, but have distinct pathotypes in mice. Moreover, we found that vaccinated poultry in China could be completely protected against H5N8 virus challenge. 10Anomalous crustal movements before great Wenchuan earthquake observed by GPS显示文摘Studies of GPS data carried out before and after the great Wenchuan earthquake of Ms8.0 on May 12,2008 show that anomalous crustal movements occurred before the earthquake.Data from 4 pre-earthquake observation sessions at a dense network of stations show that there were prominent broad-ranged long-and mid-term anomalies in horizontal displacements and strain and in vertical displacements.Data from the fewer-numbered reference stations of continuous GPS observations since 1999 in West and South China showed short-term preseismic anomalies in horizontal displacements.The detection of co-seismic horizontal displacements at these stations supports the existence of the pre-earthquake anomalies.Results of single-epoch solutions of data from continuous-observation stations near the epicenter also show large imminent anomalies in vertical displacements.Although the Wenchuan earthquake was not predicted,these results give a strong indication that GPS should be the main observation technique for long-term,mid-term,short-term and imminent earthquake predictions.Gu Guohua Meng Guojie Wang Wuxing 2011Geodesy and Geodynamics2011,2,2:10
11Horizontal crustal movement before the great Wenchuan earthquake obtained from GPS observations in the regional network显示文摘The great Wenchuan earthquake of M8.0 on May 12,2008,occurred in an area with dense GPS observation stations in the regional network of the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC).Non-continuous observations were carried out at the 1 000 GPS stations of the regional network in 1999,2001,2004 and 2007.The horizontal displacements at GPS stations in the regional network before the Wenchuan earthquake show that the main driving tectonic force of the earthquake was the northward pushing of the Indian plate,added at the same time by the pushing of plates on the east and south.In comparison to the displacements in other regions,the horizontal displacements near and around the seismic area is characterized by diverging eastward displacements,that is,the stations to the north of the epicenter moved in the ENE direction while those to the south of epicenter moved in ESE direction with smaller displacements at stations near the epicenter.The accuracy of the estimated strain results is briefly discussed.In order to obtain the anomalous information before the earthquake,the methods of both best fits by trend surface and statistics have been used in the study for finding the future epicentral area from the strain accumulations in the regional network observed from 1999 to 2007 before the Wenchuan earthquake.Besides the epicentral area of the western Kunlun mountain pass earthquake of M8.1 in 2001,the results of best fits by trend surfaces of the strain accumulations from 1999 to 2007 in the regional network show that the Wenchuan earthquake occurred at the eastern fringe of a large area with relatively large accumulations of the first shear strains and also at the northeastern fringe of a smaller area with significant accumulated areal compressions.The statistics of the accumulations of the strain components demonstrates that they also showed anomalous distribution patterns in this area and its neighborhood with increasing accumulations of both shear strains and areal compressions.Guohua Gu Wuxing Wang Yueren Xu Wenjun Li 2009Earthquake Science2009,22,5:9

13Use of genotype-environment interactions to elucidate the pattern of maize root plasticity to nitrogen deficiency显示文摘Maize(Zea mays L.) root morphology exhibits a high degree of phenotypic plasticity to nitrogen(N) de ficiency,but the underlying genetic architecture remains to be investigated Using an advanced BC_4F_3 population,we investigated the root growth plasticity under two contrasted N levels and identi fied the quantitative trait loci(QTLs) with QTL-environment(Q×E)interaction effects. Principal components analysis(PCA) on changes of root traits to N de ficiency(D LN-HN) showed that root length and biomass contributed for 45.8% in the same magnitude and direction on the first PC,while root traits scattered highly on PC_2 and PC_3. Hierarchical cluster analysis on traits for D LN-HN further assigned the BC_4F_3 lines into six groups,in which the special phenotypic responses to N de ficiency was presented These results revealed the complicated root plasticity of maize in response to N de ficiency that can be caused by genotype environment(G×E) interactions. Furthermore,QTL mapping using a multi-environment analysis identi fied 35 QTLs for root traits. Nine of these QTLs exhibited signi ficant Q×E interaction effects. 14Genetic analysis and gene fine mapping of a rolling leaf mutant (rl_(11(t))) in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘The exploration of new genes controlling rice leaf shape is an important foundation for rice functional genomics and plant architecture improvement. In the present study, we identified a rolling leaf mutant from indica variety Yuefeng B, named rl11(t), which exhibited reduced plant height, rolling and narrow leaves. Leaves in rl11(t) mutant showed abnormal number and morphology of veins compared with those in wild type plants. In addition, rl11(t) mutant was less sensitive to the inhibitory effect of auxin than the wild type. Genetic analysis suggested that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene. Gene Rl11(t) was initially mapped between SSR markers RM6089 and RM124 on chromosome 4. Thirty-two new STS markers around the Rl11(t) region were developed for fine mapping. A physical map encompassing the Rl11(t) locus was constructed and the target gene was finally delimited to a 31.6 kb window between STS4-25 and STS4-26 on BAC AL606645. 15Development and characterization of interspecific hybrids between Oryza sativa and O. latifolia by in situ hybridization显示文摘Oryza sativa and O. latifolia belong to the AA and CCDD genomes of Oryza, respectively. In this study, interspecific hybrids of these species were obtained using the embryo rescue technique. Hybrid panicle traits, such as long awns, small grain, exoteric large purple stigma, grain shattering and dispersed panicles, resemble that of the paternal parent, O. latifolia, whereas there is obvious heterosis in such respects as plant height, tillering ability and vegetative vigor. Chromosome pairing and the genomic components of the hybrid were subsequently investigated using genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis. Based on the mitotic metaphase chromosome numbers of the root tips investigated, the hybrid is a triploid with 36 chromosomes. The genomic constitution of the hybrid is ACD. 17Gusty wind disturbances and large-scale turbulent structures in the neutral atmospheric surface layer显示文摘This study analyzes the contribution of large-scale turbulent structures, including very large-scale and large-scale motions, to the streamwise turbulent kinetic energy and momentum flux in comparison with the contribution of the gusty wind disturbances based on the high-quality data obtained from the field measurements conducted in the near-neutral surface layer. The results of this study denote that the gusty wind disturbances contain only a portion of the energy contained in very large-scale motions and do not contain any of the information contained in large-scale motions. The amount of lost contributions to the streamwise turbulent kinetic energy and momentum flux increases linearly with the friction velocity, eventually becoming 53% and 67%,respectively. 18Identification of micro RNAs in six solanaceous plants and their potential link with phosphate and mycorrhizal signalings显示文摘To date, only a limited number of solanaceous miRNAs have been deposited in the miRNA database. Here,Rgenome-wide bioinformatic identification of miRNAs was performed in six solanaceous plants(potato, tomato, tobacco,eggplant, pepper, and petunia). A total of 2,239 miRNAs were identified following a range of criteria, of which 982 were from potato, 496 from tomato, 655 from tobacco, 46 from eggplant,45 were from pepper, and 15 from petunia. The sizes of miRNA families and miRNA precursor length differ in all the species.Accordingly, 620 targets were predicted, which could be functionally classified as transcription factors, metabolic enzymes, RNA and protein processing proteins, and other proteins for plant growth and development. We also showed evidence for miRNA clusters and sense and antisense miR NAs.Additionally, five Pi starvation- and one arbuscular mycorrhiza(AM)-related cis-elements were found widely distributed in the putative promoter regions of the miRNA genes. Selected miRNAs were classified into three groups based on the presence or absence of P1BS and MYCScis-elements, and their expression in response to Pi starvation and AM symbiosis was validated by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR). 19Enhancing phosphorus uptake efficiency through QTL-based selection for root system architecture in maize显示文摘Root system architecture(RSA) plays an important role in phosphorus(P) acquisition,but enhancing P use efficiency(PUE) in maize via genetic manipulation of RSA has not yet been reported.Here,using a maize recombinant inbred line(RIL) population,we investigated the genetic relationships between PUE and RSA,and developed P-efficient lines by selection of quantitative trait loci(QTLs) that coincide for both traits.In low-P(LP) fields,P uptake efficiency(Pup E) was more closely correlated with PUE(r =0.48-0.54),and RSA in hydroponics was significantly related to Pup E(r=0.25-0.30) but not to P utilization efficiency(Put E).QTL analysis detected a chromosome region where two QTLs for PUE,three for Pup E and three for RSA were assigned into two QTL clusters,Cl-bin3.04 a and Cl-bin3.04 b.These QTLs had favorable effects from alleles derived from the large-rooted and high-Pup E parent.Marker-assisted selection(MAS) identified nine advanced backcross-derived lines carrying Cl-bin3.04 a or Cl-bin3.04 b that displayed mean increases of 22%e26% in PUE in LP fields.Furthermore,a line L224 pyramiding Clbin3.04 a and Cl-bin3.04 b showed enhanced Pup E,relying mainly on changes in root morphology,rather than root physiology,under both hydroponic and field conditions.These results highlight the physiological and genetic contributions of RSA to maize Pup E,and provide a successful study case of developing P-efficient crops through QTL-based selection.Riliang Gu Fanjun Chen Lizhi Long Hongguang Cai Zhigang Liu Jiabo Yang Lifeng Wang Huiyong Li Junhui Li Wenxin Liu Guohua Mi Fusuo Zhang Lixing Yuan 2016Journal of Genetics and Genomics2016,43,11:3
20Pre-seismic and Co-seismic Crustal Movements of the M 7.3 Kyushu Earthquake on April 16,2016 in Japan显示文摘The time series of coordinates of a large number of GPS stations in the world,processed by Prof. Geoffrey Blewitt with GIPSY software are available at http://geodesy. unr. edu.Based on the time series of coordinates in the global reference frame of IGS08 at more than250 stations of continuous GPS observations,downloaded from the website,the co-seismic displacements of the M7. 3 Kyushu earthquake on April 16,2016 in Japan and the preseismic strain accumulations and displacements in the regional reference frame were obtained. The station of continuous GPS observation at BJFS near Beijing has been quite stable in displacement in the eastern part of China for more than 17 years since the beginning of its operation,and this station is used as the core station in the regional reference frame for the pre-seismic displacement of the Kyushu earthquake of M7. 3. The main feature of the pre-seismic displacements of the Kyushu earthquake is characterized by locking in the crust at and near the epicenter. The anomalous pre-seismic strain accumulation developed in an area of anomalous accumulation of the shear strain component of γ1 on the northeast side of the epicenter,with increasing size of the area and increasing magnitude in γ1. The largest area covered by the anomalous γ1 is about 2000 km2. The change in the E component at BJFS since November 26,2015 was caused by the replacement of the receiver and the antenna at the station. In order to study the shortterm change in displacements at stations at and near the epicenter,the time series at 3 stations with continuous GPS observations,2 at SUWN and DAEJ in south Korea and 1 at BJSH near Beijing were analyzed. The analysis shows that the displacements at the 3 stations have been quite stable in the same manner in east Asia. Thus,BJSH is used as the core station in the regional reference frame of displacement and the displacement time series show that there were no significant short term anomalies before the earthquake.Gu Guohua Wang Wuxing 2017Earthquake Research in China2017,31,4:3
