1Oryza sativa mediator subunit OsMED25 interacts with OsBZR1 to regulate brassinosteroid signaling and plant architecture in rice显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs)are plant-specific steroid hormones which regulate plant growth,development,and adaptation.Transcriptional regulation plays key roles in plant hormone signaling.A mediator can serve as a bridge between gene-specific transcription factors and the RNA polymerase machinery,functioning as an essential component in regulating the transcriptional process.However,whether a mediator is involved in BR signaling is unknown.Here,we discovered that Oryza sativa mediator subunit 25(Os MED25)is an important regulator of rice BR signaling.Phenotypic analyses showed that the Os MED25-RNAi and osmed25 mutant presented erect leaves,as observed in BR-deficient mutants.In addition,the Os MED25-RNAi and osmed25 mutant exhibited decreased BR sensitivity.Genetic analysis indicated that Os MED25-RNAi could suppress the enhanced BR signaling phenotype of Osbzr1-D.Further biochemical analysis showed that Os MED25 interacts with Os BZR1 in vivo,and Os MED25 is enriched on the promoter of Os BZR1 target genes.RNA sequencing analysis indicated that Os MED25 affects the expression of approximately 45%of Os BZR1-regulated genes and mainly functions as a corepressor of Os BZR1.Together,these findings revealed that Os MED25 regulates rice BR signaling by interacting with Os BZR1 and modulating the expression of Os BZR1 target genes,thus expanding our understanding of the roles of mediators in plant hormone signaling.Yuekun Ren Xiaojie Tian Shuyu Li Enyang Mei Mingliang He Jiaqi Tang Min Xu Xiufeng Li Zhenyu Wang Chuanyou Li Qingyun Bu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,6:3
2Allotransplantation of adult spinal cord tissues after complete transected spinal cord injury: long-term survival and functional recovery in canines显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI), especially complete transected SCI, leads to loss of cells and extracellular matrix and functional impairments. In a previous study, we transplanted adult spinal cord tissues(aSCTs) to replace lost tissues and facilitate recovery in a rat SCI model. However, rodents display considerable differences from human patients in the scale, anatomy and functions of spinal cord systems, and responses after injury. Thus, use of a large animal SCI model is required to examine the repair efficiency of potential therapeutic approaches. In this study, we transplanted allogenic aSCTs from adult dogs to the lesion area of canines after complete transection of the thoracic spinal cord, and investigated the long-term cell survival and functional recovery. To enhance repair efficiency, a growth factor cocktail was added during aSCT transplantation, providing a favorable microenvironment. The results showed that transplantation of a SCTs, in particular with the addition of growth factors, significantly improves locomotor function restoration and increases the number of neurofilament-, microtubule-associated protein2-, 5-hydroxytryptamine-, choline acetyltransferase-and tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neurons in the lesion area at 6 months post-surgery. In addition, we demonstrated that donor neurons in a SCTs can survive for a long period after transplantation. 3All-trans retinoic acid reverses malignant biological behavior of hepatocarcinoma cells by regulating miR-200 family members显示文摘As a potential chemo-therapeutic agent,all-trans retinoic acid(ATRA)can signif-icantly reverse epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)of hepal-6 hepatocarcinoma cell line in vitro,but the mechanism is unclear.The expression profile of microRNA-200(miR-200)families is different in hepatocellular carcinoma.In this study,we found that ATRA trea tment could up-regulate the expression of miR-200a-3p,200c-3p,and 141-3p,which were involved in ATRA regulated proliferation and apoptosis of hepal-6 cell,but not colony formation.Meanwhile,miR-200a-3p,200c-3p,and 141-3p could recovery ATRA inhibited migration and invasion abilities of hepal-6 cells at various levels.miR-200a-3p and 200c-3p prevented ATRA from inducing the differentia tion and hepatic functions of hepal-6 cells.An-tagomir specific for miR-200a-3p and 200c-3p down-regulated the expression of CK18,but only miR-200a-3p anta gomir played prominent role in regula ting the expression of these mesenchymal markers,N-Cadherin,Snail and Twist.The transcriptional activities of 8 tran-scription factors were up-regulated and 35 transcription factors were down-regulated by ATRA.Compared with ATRA group,inhibition of miR-200a-3p,200c-3p,and 141-3p significantly strengthened the expression of Fra1/Jun(AP1),Ets1/PEA3,Brn3,and Zeb1/AREB6 at varying degrees.Therefore,this result suggested that ATRA may suppress EMT through down-regulating miR-200a-3p,200c-3p and 141-3p related transcription factors.miR-200 and their downstream genes might be the potentially specific targets for the treat-ment of hepatocarcinoma.Jiejie Cui Mengjia Gong Shuyu Fang Chaoqun Hu Yi Wang Jingfang Zhang Ni Tang Yun He 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,4:2

5Influence of mixed organic cations on the nonlinear optical properties of lead tri-iodide perovskites显示文摘Metal halide perovskite materials have been widely studied recently due to their excellent optoelectronic properties.Among these materials,organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have attracted much attention because of their relatively soft framework,which makes them more suitable for nonlinear optical(NLO)applications.However,there is rare physical mechanism study on the coexistence of two-photon absorption(TPA)and saturable absorption(SA)in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials.To clarify this issue,the NLO properties of mixed cation perovskite MA1-xFAxPbI3[MA=CH3NH3,FA=CH(NH2)2,x=0,0.2,0.4,0.6,and 0.8]thin films are investigated in this paper.Based on the nonlinear transmittance and femtosecond-transient absorption spectrum measurements,it is found that the MA1-xFAxPbI3 materials exhibit NLO behavior dependent on excitation intensity.The TPA coefficient of MA1-xFAxPbI3 decreases with the increase of formamidinium(FA)content,while the relevant saturable intensity increases.In addition,it is revealed that the linear absorption process from valence band 2 to valance band 1 still exists even under a very low excitation intensity.With the increase of excitation intensity,the light transmittance at 1300 nm decreases first and then increases sharply,which also supports the explanation for the coexistence of TPA and SA.It is expected that our findings will promote the application of perovskite materials in nonlinear optoelectronic devices.XUANYU ZHANG SHUYU XIAO RUXUE LI TINGCHAO HE GUICHUAN XING AND RUI CHEN 2020Photonics Research2020,8,9:1
6Linear and nonlinear photophysical properties of ZnSe/CdS/ZnS core/shell/shell typeⅡnanocrystals显示文摘In this work,one kind of typeⅡZnSe/CdS/ZnS core/shell/shell nanocrystals(NCs)is synthesized,and their linear and nonlinear photophysical properties are investigated.Through measurements of the temperaturedependent photoluminescence spectra of NCs,their excitonic properties,including the coefficient of the bandgap change,coupling strength of the exciton acoustic phonons,exciton longitudinal optical(LO)phonons,and LO–phonon energy are revealed.Femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy was employed to obtain insight into ultrafast processes occurring at the interface of ZnSe and CdS,such as those involving the injection of photoinduced electrons into the CdS shell,interfacial state bleaching,and charge separation time.At the end,their multiphoton absorption spectra were determined by using the z-scan technique,which yielded a maximum twophoton absorption cross section of 3717 GM at 820 nm and three-photon absorption cross section up to 3.9×10^-77cm^6·s^2·photon^-2at 1220 nm,respectively.The photophysical properties presented here may be important for exploiting their relevant applications in optoelectronic devices and deep-tissue bioimaging.YANG GAO XIN QIU FULI ZHAO SHUYU XIAO JUNZI LI XIAODONG LIN RUI CHEN AND TINGCHAO HE 2020Photonics Research2020,8,9:1

9Superior multiphoton absorption properties in colloidal Mn-doped CsPbCl3two-dimensional nanoplatelets显示文摘We have studied the two-and three-photon absorption(2PA and 3PA) properties of Mn-doped CsPbCl_3 twodimensional nanoplatelets(2D NPs) and cubic nanocrystals. Compared with their cubic counterparts, the Mn-doped 2D NPs exhibit stronger quantum confinement effects that can more efficiently enhance their dopantcarrier exchange interactions and multiphoton absorption. 10Identification of heptapeptides targeting a lethal bacterial strain in septic mice through an integrative approach显示文摘Effectively killing pathogenic bacteria is key for the treatment of sepsis.Although various anti-infective drugs have been used for the treatment of sepsis,the therapeutic effect is largely limited by the lack of a specific bacterium-targeting delivery system.This study aimed to develop antibacterial peptides that specifically target pathogenic bacteria for the treatment of sepsis.The lethal bacterial strain Escherichia coli MSI001 was isolated from mice of a cecal ligation and puncture(CLP)model and was used as a target to screen bacterial binding heptapeptides through an integrative bioinformatics approach based on phage display technology and high-throughput sequencing(HTS).Heptapeptides binding to E.coli MSI001 with high affinity were acquired after normalization by the heptapeptide frequency of the library.A representative heptapeptide VTKLGSL(VTK)was selected for fusion with the antibacterial peptide LL-37 to construct the specific-targeting antibacterial peptide VTK-LL37.We found that,in comparison with LL37,VTK-LL37 showed prominent bacteriostatic activity and an inhibitive effect on biofilm formation in vitro.In vivo experiments demonstrated that VTK-LL37 significantly inhibited bacterial growth,reduced HMGB1 expression,alleviated lesions of vital organs and improved the survival of mice subjected to CLP modeling.Furthermore,membrane DEGP and DEGQ were identified as VTKbinding proteins by proteomic methods.This study provides a novel strategy for targeted pathogen killing,which is helpful for the treatment of sepsis in the era of precise medicine.Xiaoyan Zhang Shan Li Haihua Luo Shuyue He Huangda Yang Lei Li Tian Tian Qizheng Han Jiacong Ye Chenyang Huang Aihua Liu Yong Jiang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8:0
11Geochronology and geochemistry of Hutouya monzonitic granite of Qimantage, Qinghai显示文摘The geochemical features of the monzonitic granite in Qimantage Hutouya deposit area,Qinghai,in respect to the mineralization,suggest that this granite belongs to weak peraluminous and high-k calc alkaline rock series. The REE of the samples show right slope with obvious LREE/HREE differentiation and negative Eu abnormity. The trace elements show enrichment of LILE( Rb,Th,U,La,Nd),and deleption of Ba,Sr,Nd,P,Ti. The Sr-Nb isotopic data indicate that the magma source is mainly aluminosilicate lower crust with a small amount of new crustal materials. The weighted mean zircon U-Pbage of the Hutouya monzonitic granite is 221±1.7 Ma,belonging to Late Triassic. 14The Relationships between Erythrocyte Membrane n-6 to n-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids Ratio and Blood Lipids and C-reactive Protein in Chinese Adults:An Observational Study显示文摘Objective To investigate the relationships between erythrocyte membrane n‐6:n‐3 PUFAs ratio and blood lipids and high sensitivity C‐reactive protein (hs‐CRP).Methods The observational study consisted of a population‐based cross‐sectional study of 456 Chinese and a subsequent 1‐year follow‐up study of 171 subjects with the fasting plasma total cholesterol of 5.13‐8.00 mmol/L.Results In the cross‐sectional analysis,plasma low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐c) had a significant and negative association with the erythrocyte membrane n‐6:n‐3 PUFAs ratio (P for trend=0.019) after adjusting for sex,age and total PUFA percentage.In the follow‐up study,171 subjects were categorized into quartiles by the changes of n‐6:n‐3 ratio in erythrocyte membrane (△=month 12‐month 0).In the top quartile whose ratios of n‐6:n‐3 increased by an average of 1.25 during the follow‐up,the LDL‐c‐lowering extent was 3.3 times of that in the lowest quartile whose ratios of n‐6:n‐3 decreased by an average of 1.13 (‐1.07 mmol/L v.s.‐0.32 mmol/L).The hsCRP decreased by 0.11 mg/dL in the lowest quartile while increasing by 0.10 mg/dL in the top quartile (P for difference=0.052).Conclusion Our results suggested that the balance between n‐6 and n‐3 fatty acids may optimize the cardiovascular benefits from dietary PUFAs.ZHANG Bo WANG Ping ZHOU Quan CHEN ChaoGang ZHUO ShuYu YE YanBin HE QiQiang CHEN YuMing SU YiXiang 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,3:0
15An efficient physics-guided Bayesian framework for predicting ground settlement profile during excavations in clay显示文摘Recently,the application of Bayesian updating to predict excavation-induced deformation has proven successful and improved prediction accuracy significantly.However,updating the ground settlement profile,which is crucial for determining potential damage to nearby infrastructures,has received limited attention.To address this,this paper proposes a physics-guided simplified model combined with a Bayesian updating framework to accurately predict the ground settlement profile.The advantage of this model is that it eliminates the need for complex finite element modeling and makes the updating framework user-friendly.Furthermore,the model is physically interpretable,which can provide valuable references for construction adjustments.The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through two field case studies,showing that it can yield satisfactory predictions for the settlement profile.Cong Tang Shuyu He Wanhuan Zhou 2024Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,4:0
16Analytical and Experimental Studies on Wave Scattering by a Horizontal Perforated Plate at the Still Water Level显示文摘This research investigates water-wave scattering via a horizontal perforated plate fixed at the still water level through analytical studies and physical model tests.The velocity potential decomposition method is combined with an efficient iterative algorithm to develop an analytical solution in which the quadratic pressure drop condition is imposed on the horizontal perforated plate.The analytical results are in good agreement with the results of an independently developed iterative boundary element method(BEM)solution.Experimental tests are carried out in a wave flume to measure the reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient of the horizontal perforated plate,and the analytical results agree reasonably well with the experimental data.The influence of various structural parameters of the horizontal perforated plate on the hydrodynamic parameters of reflection coefficient,transmission coefficient,energy-loss coefficient,and wave force are analyzed on the basis of the analytical solution.Useful results for the practical engineering application of horizontal perforated plates are also presented.HE Shuyue ZHAO Yang LIU Yong LI Huajun 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,6:0
