2The long rather than the short allele of 5-HTTLPR predisposes Han Chinese to anxiety and reduced connectivity between prefrontal cortex and amygdala显示文摘The short allele of the serotonin-transporter gene is associated with higher risk for anxiety and depression in Caucasians, but this association is still unclear in Asians. Here, we addressed this issue using behavioral and multi-modal MRI approaches in a large group of healthy Han Chinese participants (n = 233). In contrast to findings in Caucasians, we found that long-allele (L) carriers had higher anxiety scores. In another group (n = 64) experiencing significant levels of depression or anxiety, the L-allele frequency was also significantly higher. In healthy participants, L-carriers had reduced functional and anatomical connectivity between the amygdala and prefrontal cortex (PFC), which was correlated with anxiety or depression scores. Our findings demonstrated that in Chinese Han participants, in contrast to Caucasians, the L-allele confers vulnerability to anxiety or depression and weakens top-down emotional control between the PFC and amygdala. 3Cross-Scale Synthesis of Organic High-k Semiconductors Based on Spiro-Gridized Nanopolymers显示文摘High dielectric constants in organic semiconductors have been identified as a central challenge for the improvement in not only piexoelectric,preolecric,and freeltric efcts but also photoclecric conversion eficiency in OPVs,carrier mobility in OFETS,and charge density in charge-trapping memories.Herein,we report an ultralong persistence length(≈41 nm)efet of spiro-fused organic nanopolymers on dielectric properties,together with excitonic and charge carrier behaviors.The state-of-the-art nanopolymers,namely,nanopolyspirogrids(NPSGs),are synthesized via the simple crossscale Friedel-Crafts polygridlization of AjB-type nanomonomers.The high dielectric constant(k=8.43)of NPSG is firstly achieved by locking spiro-polygridization efect that results in the enhancement of dipole polarization.When doping into a polystyrene-based dielectric layer,such a high-k feature of NPSG increases the feld-ffct carrier mobility from 0.20 to 0.90cm^(2)Vl s'in pentacene OFET devices.Meanwhile,amorphous NPSG film exhibits an ultralow energy disorder(<50 meV)for an exellent zero-field hole mobility of 3.94×10^(-1)cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1).surpassing most of the amorphousπconjugated polymers Onganic nanopolymers with high dielectric constants open a new way to break through the bottleneck of eficiency and multifunctionality in the blueprint of the fourth generation semiconductors.Dongqing Lin Wenhua Zhang Hang Yin Haixia Hu Yang Li He Zhang Le Wang Xinmiao Xie Hongkai Hu Yongxia Yan Haifeng Ling Jin'an Liu Yue Qian Lei Tang Yongxia Wang Chaoyang Dong Linghai Xie Hao Zhang Shasha Wang Ying Wei Xuefeng Guo Dan Lu Wei Huang 2022Research2022,,2:3
4Applications of Nanobiomaterials in the Therapy and Imaging of Acute Liver Failure显示文摘Acute liver failure(ALF),a fatal clinical disease featured with overwhelming hepatocyte necrosis,is a grand challenge in global health.However,a satisfactory therapeutic option for curing ALF is still absent,other than liver transplantation.Nanobiomaterials are currently being developed for the diagnosis and treatment of ALF.The liver can sequester most of nanoparticles from blood circulation,which becomes an intrinsic superiority for nanobiomaterials targeting hepatic diseases.Nanobiomaterials can enhance the bioavailability of free drugs,thereby significantly improving the therapeutic effects in ALF.Nanobiomaterials can also increase the liver accumulation of therapeutic agents and enable more effective targeting of the liver or specific liver cells.In addition,stimuli-responsive,optical,or magnetic nanomaterials exhibit great potential in the therapeutical,diagnostic,and imaging applications in ALF.Therefore,therapeutic agents in combination with nanobiomaterials increase the specificity of ALF therapy,diminish adverse systemic effects,and offer a multifunctional theranostic platform.Nanobiomaterial holds excellent significance and prospects in ALF theranostics.In this review,we summarize the therapeutic mechanisms and targeting strategies of various nanobiomaterials in ALF.We highlight recent developments of diverse nanomedicines for ALF therapy,diagnosis,and imaging.Furthermore,the challenges and future perspectives in the theranostics of ALF are also discussed.Yuanyuan Jin Haixia Wang Ke Yi Shixian Lv Hanze Hu Mingqiang Li Yu Tao 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2:3
5A drug-loaded composite coating to improve osteogenic and antibacterial properties of Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds as biodegradable bone implants显示文摘Zinc(Zn)alloy porous scaffolds produced by additive manufacturing own customizable structures and biodegradable functions,having a great application potential for repairing bone defect.In this work,a hydroxyapatite(HA)/polydopamine(PDA)composite coating was constructed on the surface of Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds fabricated by laser powder bed fusion,and was loaded with a bioactive factor BMP2 and an antibacterial drug vancomycin.The microstructure,degradation behavior,biocompatibility,antibacterial performance and osteogenic activities were systematically investigated.Compared with as-built Zn-1Mg scaffolds,the rapid increase of Zn2+,which resulted to the deteriorated cell viability and osteogenic differentiation,was inhibited due to the physical barrier of the composite coating.In vitro cellular and bacterial assay indicated that the loaded BMP2 and vancomycin considerably enhanced the cytocompatibility and antibacterial performance.Significantly improved osteogenic and antibacterial functions were also observed according to in vivo implantation in the lateral femoral condyle of rats.The design,influence and mechanism of the composite coating were discussed accordingly.It was concluded that the additively manufactured Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds together with the composite coating could modulate biodegradable performance and contribute to effective promotion of bone recovery and antibacterial function.Zhenbao Zhang Aobo Liu Jiadong Fan Menglin Wang Jiabao Dai Xiang Jin Huanze Deng Xuan Wang Yijie Liang Haixia Li Yantao Zhao Peng Wen Yanfeng Li 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,9:2

11MdWRKY11 improves copper tolerance by directly promoting the expression of the copper transporter gene MdHMA5显示文摘Overuse of fungicides and fertilizers has resulted in copper(Cu)contamination of soils and toxic levels of Cu in apple fruits.To breed Cu-resistant apple(Malus domestica)cultivars,the underlying molecular mechanisms and key genes involved in Cu resistance must be identified.Here,we show that MdWRKY11 increases Cu tolerance by directly promoting the transcription of MdHMA5.MdHMA5 is a Cu transporter that may function in the storage of excess Cu in root cell walls and stems for Cu tolerance in apple.The transcription factor MdWRKY11 is highly induced by excess Cu.MdWRKY11 overexpression in transgenic apple enhanced Cu tolerance and decreased Cu accumulation.Apple calli transformed with an MdWRKY11-RNAi construct exhibited the opposite phenotype.Both an in vivo chromatin immunoprecipitation assay and an in vitro electrophoretic mobility shift assay indicated that MdWRKY11 binds to the promoter of MdHMA5.Furthermore,MdWRKY11 promoted MdHMA5 expression in transgenic apple plants,as revealed by quantitative PCR.Moreover,inhibition of MdWRKY11 expression by RNA interference led to a significant decrease in MdHMA5 transcription.Thus,MdWRKY11 directly regulates MdHMA5 transcription.Our work resulted in the identification of a novel MdWRKY11-MdHMA5 pathway that mediates Cu resistance in apple.Kun Shi Xuan Liu Yunpeng Zhu Yixue Bai Dongqian Shan Xiaodong Zheng Lin Wang Haixia Zhang Chanyu Wang Tianci Yan Fangfang Zhou Zehui Hu Yanzhao Sun Yan Guo Jin Kong 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:1

14Influence of Ga-doping on the thermoelectric properties of Bi_(2-x)Ga_xTe_(2.7)Se_(0.3) alloy显示文摘Bi(2-x)GaxTe2.7Se0.3(x=0, 0.04, 0.08, 0.12) alloys were fabricated by vacuum melting and hot pressing technique. The structure of the samples was evaluated by means of X-ray diffraction. The peak shift toward higher angle can be observed by Ga-doping. The effects of Ga substitution for Bi on the electrical and thermal transport properties were investigated in the temperature range of 300–500 K. The power factor values of the Ga-doped samples are obviously improved in the temperature range of 300–440 K. 17Some Thoughts on Science-based Botanical Garden Establishment显示文摘Through analysis of the historical and present development of botanical gardens, both domestic and international, with particular focus on botanical garden practices within the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the authors propose that science-based botanical gardens (which differ from common public gardens), should be founded on plant diversity inventory and ex-situ conservation of wild plant species. Efforts should be directed to rarer species from biodiversity-rich areas and biodiversity hotspots, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to effectively preserve germplasm in living collections. Science-based botanical garden management should be directed by sound scientific evaluation of plant resources and guaranteed by innovative operational mechanisms. Science-based botanical gardens should also emphasize the establishment of identifiable and specialized living collections, research platforms and recruitment of qualified experts. 20Revealing the correlation between adsorption energy and activation energy to predict the catalytic activity of metal oxides for HMX using DFT显示文摘Traditional selection of combustion catalysis is time-consuming and labor-intensive.Theoretical calculation is expected to resolve this problem.The adsorption energy of HMX and O atoms on 13 metal oxides was calculated using DMol3,since HMX and O are key substances in decomposition process.And the relationship between the adsorption energy of HMX,O on metal oxides(TiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),PbO,CuO,Fe_(2)O_(3),Co_(3)O_(4),Bi_(2)O_(3),NiO)and experimental T30 values(time required for the decomposition depth of HMX to reach 30%)was depicted as volcano plot.Thus,the T30 values of other metal oxides was predicted based on their adsorption energy on volcano plot and validated by previous experimental data.Further,the adsorption energy of HMX on ZrO_(2)and MnO_(2)was predicted based on the linear relationship between surface energy and adsorption energy,and T30 values were estimated based on volcano plot.The apparent activation energy data of HMX/MgO,HMX/SnO_(2),HMX/ZrO_(2),and HMX/MnO_(2)obtained from DSC experiments are basically consistent with our predicted T30 values,indicating that it is feasible to predict the catalytic activity based on the adsorption calculation,and it is expected that these simple structural properties can predict adsorption energy to reduce the large quantities of computation and experiment cost.Xiurong Yang Chi Zhang Wujing Jin Zhaoqi Guo Hongxu Gao Shiyao Niu Fengqi Zhao Bo Liu Haixia Ma 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,31,1:0
