| 1 | A rapid advice guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) infected pneumonia(standard version)显示文摘In December 2019, a new type viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province;and then named '2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)' by the World Health Organization(WHO) on 12 January 2020. For it is a never been experienced respiratory disease before and with infection ability widely and quickly, it attracted the world’s attention but without treatment and control manual. For the request from frontline clinicians and public health professionals of 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia management, an evidence-based guideline urgently needs to be developed. Therefore, we drafted this guideline according to the rapid advice guidelines methodology and general rules of WHO guideline development;we also added the first-hand management data of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. This guideline includes the guideline methodology, epidemiological characteristics, disease screening and population prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control(including traditional Chinese Medicine), nosocomial infection prevention and control, and disease nursing of the 2019-nCoV. Moreover, we also provide a whole process of a successful treatment case of the severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia and experience and lessons of hospital rescue for 2019-nCoV infections. | 3 | Tom20 senses iron-activated ROS signaling to promote melanoma cell pyroptosis显示文摘Iron has been shown to trigger oxidative stress by elevating reactive oxygen species (ROS) and to participate in different modes of cell death,such as ferroptosis,apoptosis and necroptosis. However,whether iron-elevated ROS is also linked to pyroptosis has not been reported. Here,we demonstrate that iron-activated ROS can induce pyroptosis via a Tom20-Bax-caspase-GSDME pathway. In melanoma cells,iron enhanced ROS signaling initiated by CCCP,causing the oxidation and oligomerization of the mitochondrial outer membrane protein Tom20. Bax is recruited to mitochondria by oxidized Tom20,which facilitates cytochrome c release to cytosol to activate caspase-3;eventually triggering pyroptotic death by inducing GSDME cleavage. Therefore,ROS acts as a causative factor and Tom20 senses ROS signaling for iron-driven pyroptotic death of melanoma cells. Since iron activates ROS for GSDME-dependent pyroptosis induction and melanoma cells specifically express a high level of GSDME,iron may be a potential candidate for melanoma therapy. Based on the functional mechanism of iron shown above,we further demonstrate that iron supplementation at a dosage used in iron-deficient patients is sufficient to maximize the anti-tumor effect of clinical ROS-inducing drugs to inhibit xenograft tumor growth and metastasis of melanoma cells through GSDME-dependent pyroptosis. Moreover,no obvious side effects are observed in the normal tissues and organs of mice during the combined treatment of clinical drugs and iron. | 5 | Kinsenoside attenuates osteoarthritis by repolarizing macrophages through inactivating NF-κB/MAPK signaling and protecting chondrocytes显示文摘The objective was to investigate the effect of kinsenoside(Kin) treatments on macrophage polarity and evaluate the resulting protection of chondrocytes to attenuate osteoarthritis(OA) progression.RAW264.7 macrophages were polarized to M1/M2 subtypes then administered with different concentrations of Kin. The polarization transitions were evaluated with quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR), confocal observation and flow cytometry analysis. The mechanism of Kin repolarizing M1 macrophages was evaluated by Western blot. Further, macrophage conditioned medium(CM) and IL-1β were administered to chondrocytes. Micro-CT scanning and histological observations were conducted in vivo on anterior cruciate ligament transection(ACLT) mice with or without Kin treatment. We found that Kin repolarized M1 macrophages to the M2 phenotype. Mechanistically, Kin inhibited the phosphorylation of IκBα, which further reduced the downstream phosphorylation of P65 in nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) signaling. Moreover, Kin inhibited mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK) signaling molecules p-JNK, p-ERK and p-P38. Additionally, Kin attenuated macrophage CM and IL-1β-induced chondrocyte damage. In vivo, Kin reduced the infiltration of M1 macrophages,promoted M2 macrophages in the synovium, inhibited subchondral bone destruction and reduced articular cartilage damage induced by ACLT. | 6 | Multicenter case-control study of the risk factors for ulcerative colitis in China显示文摘AIM:To evaluate potential risk factors in the development of ulcerative colitis(UC) in China.METHODS:A total of 1308 patients with UC and 1308 age-matched and sex-matched controls were prospectively studied in China.The UC cases were collected from 17 hospitals in China from April 2007 to April 2010.Uniform questionnaires were designed to investigate risk factors including smoking,appendectomy,stress,socio-economic conditions,nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),oral contraceptives,diet,breastfeeding,infections and family sanitary conditions.Group comparisons by each factor were done using simple logistic regression analysis.Conditional logistic regression was used for multivariate analysis.RESULTS:By univariate analysis,the variables predictive of UC included feeling stress,light and heavy alcoholic drinking,spicy food,sugar consumption and infectious diarrhea,while heavy tea intake and tap water consumption were protective against UC.On multivariate analysis,the protective factor for UC was tap water consumption [odds ratios(OR) = 0.424,95%CI:0.302-0.594,P < 0.001];while the potential risk factors for UC were heavy sugar consumption(OR = 1.632,95%CI:1.156-2.305,P < 0.001),spicy food(light intake:OR = 3.329,95%CI:2.282-4.857,P < 0.001;heavy intake:OR = 3.979,95%CI:2.700-5.863,P < 0.001),and often feeling stress(OR = 1.981,95%CI:1.447-2.711,P < 0.001).Other factors,such as smoking habit,appendectomy,breastfeeding,a history of measles,rural or urban residence,education,oral contraceptives,and NSAID use have not been found to have a significant association with the development of UC in the present study.CONCLUSION:Our study showed tap water consumption was a protective factor for UC,while spicy food,heavy sugar consumption and often feeling stress were risk factors for UC in this Chinese population. | Yu-Fang Wang Qin Ou-yang Bing Xia Li-Na Liu Fang Gu Kai-Fang Zhou Qiao Mei Rui-Hua Shi Zhi-Hua Ran Xiao-Di Wang Pin-Jin Hu Kai-Chun Wu Xin-Guang Liu Ying-Lei Miao Ying Han Xiao-Ping Wu Guo-Bing He Jie Zhong Guan-Jian Liu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,11: | 24 |

| 8 | Efficacy and safety of intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator in mild ischaemic stroke:a meta-analysis显示文摘The benefits and safety of intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator(IV-tPA)for patients with mild ischaemic stroke(MIS)are still unclear.The objective of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of IV-tPA as treatment for patients with MIS.We performed a systematic literature search across MEDLINE,Embase,Central,Global Health and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature(CINAHL),from inception to 10 November 2016,to identify all related studies.Where possible,data were pooled for meta-analysis with odds ratio(OR)and corresponding 95%confidence interval(CI)using the fixed-effects model.MIS was defined as having National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of≤6.We included seven studies with a total of 1591 patients based on the prespecified inclusion and exclusion criteria.The meta-analysis indicated a high odds of excellent functional outcome based on the modified Rankin Scale or Oxfordshire Handicap Score 0-1(OR=1.43;95%CI 1.14 to 1.79;P=0.002,I2=35%)in patients treated with IV-tPA compared with those not treated with IV-tPA(74.8%vs 67.6%).There was a high risk of symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage(sICH)with IV-tPA treatment(OR=10.13;95%CI 1.93 to 53.02;P=0.006,I2=0%)(1.9%vs 0.0%)but not mortality(OR=0.78;95%CI 0.43 to 1.43;P=0.43,I2=0%)(2.4%vs 2.9%).Treatment with IV-tPA was associated with better functional outcome but not mortality among patients with MIS,although there was an increased risk of sICH.Randomised trials are warranted to confirm these findings. | Shoujiang You Anubhav Saxena Xia Wang WeeYong Tan Qiao Han Yongjun Cao Chun-Feng Liu | 2018 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,1: | 24 |

Based on the mining depth and thickness of the coal seam, roadway support technology solutions with different buried depth and thickness of coal seam are proposed. Support schemes are amended and optimized in time through monitoring data of the deformation of roadway,roof separation, I-beam bracket, bolt and anchor cable force to ensure the long-term stability and security of the roadway surrounding rock and support structure. | 12 | Comparing of Light Transmittance Aggregometry and Modified Thrombelastograph in Predicting Clinical Outcomes in Chinese Patients Undergoing Coronary Stenting with Clopidogrel显示文摘Background: Several platelet function tests are currently used to measure responsiveness to antiplatelet therapy. This study was to compare two tests, light transmittance aggregometry (LTA) and modified thrombelastography (mTEG), for predicting clinical outcomes in Chinese patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: Prospective, observational, single-center study of 789 Chinese patients undergoing PCI was enrolled. This study was investigated the correlations between the two tests and performed receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) at 1-year follow-up. Results: MACEs occurred in 32 patients (4.1%). Correlations were well between the two tests in the adenosine diphosphate induced platelet reactivity (Spearman r = 0.733, P 〈 0.001 ). ROC-curve analysis demonstrated that LTA (area under the curve [AUC]: 0.677; 95% confidence interval [CO: 0.643-0.710; P = 0.0009), and mTEG (AUC: 0.684; 95% CI: 0.650-0.716; P = 0.0001) had moderate ability to discriminate between patients with and without MACE. MACE occurred more frequently in patients with high on-treatment platelet reactivity (HPR) when assessed by LTA (7.4% vs. 2.7%; P 〈 0.001), and by TEG (6.7% vs. 2.6%; P 〈 0.001 ). Kaplan-Meier analysis demonstrated that HPR based on the LTA and mTEG was associated with almost 3-fold increased risk of MACE at 1-year follow-up. Conclusions: The correlation between LTA and mTEG is relatively high in Chinese patients. | 13 | Helicobacter pylori Infection is Associated with Occurrence of Proteinuria in Type 2 Diabetes Patients:A Systemic Review and Meta-Analysis显示文摘Background:Type 2diabetes (T2DM)patients are susceptible to Helicobacterpylori (HP),and it has been reported that the occurrence of proteinuria is associated with HP infection in T2DM patients;however,this view remains controversial.This meta-analysis aimed to explore the association between HP infection and the occurrence of proteinuria in T2DM patients.In addition,we hope to provide some recommendations to readers in clinical or related fields. Methods:Our meta-analysis was conducted with the methodology of the Cochrane Collaboration.Search strategies were formulated by relevant professionals.Case-control studies that compared the occurrence ofproteinuria in T2DM patients with and without HP infection were involved in our meta-analysis.Relevant English or Chinese studies were searched on online databases before 2018,including PubMed,the Cochrane library,Medline,Google Scholar,the China National Infrastructure,and Wanfang database.The search strategies were 'diabetic proteinuria,diabetic microalbuminuria,diabetic albumainuria,diabetic kidney disease,diabetic renal dysfunction,diabetic renal disease,diabetic nephropathy,diabetic complications,and diabetic mellitus,combined with HP.'The quality of these involved articles was separately assessed by two investigators using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS).Odds ratios (ORs)and associated 95% confidence intervals (CIs)were extracted and pooled using fixed-effects models. Results:Seven studies involving 1029participants were included.The quality of these seven articles was all above five stars as assessed by NOS,and there was no significant publication bias in our meta-analysis.We found that T2DM patients with HP infection had a 2.00 times higher risk of the occurrence of proteinuria than patients without HP infection (OR:2.00,95%CI:1.48-2.69). | 15 | Chemical and optical properties of aerosols and their interrelationship in winter in the megacity Shanghai of China显示文摘A field campaign on air quality was carried out in Shanghai in winter of 2012. The concentrations of NO, NO2, NOx, SO2, CO, and PM2.5increased during haze formation. The average masses of SO42-, NO3-and NH4+were 10.3, 11.7 and 6.7 μg/m3 during the haze episodes, which exceeded the average(9.2, 7.9, and 3.4 μg/m3) of these components in the non-haze days. The mean values for the aerosol scattering coefficient(b sp), aerosol absorption coefficient(b ap) and single scattering albedo(SSA) were 288.7, 27.7 and0.91 Mm-1, respectively. A bi-peak distribution was observed for the mass concentrations of CO, NO, NO2, and NOx. More sulfate was produced during daytime than that in the evening due to photochemical reactions. The mass concentration of NH4+achieved a small peak at noontime. NO3-showed lower concentrations in the afternoon and higher concentrations in the early morning. There were obvious bi-peak diurnal patterns for b sp and b ap as well as SSA. b sp and b ap showed a positive correlation with PM2.5mass concentration.(NH4)2SO4, NH4NO3, organic mass, elemental carbon and coarse mass accounted for 21.7%, 19.3%, 31.0%, 9.3% and 12.3% of the total extinction coefficient during non-haze days, and 25.6%, 24.3%, 30.1%, 8.1% and 8.2% during hazy days. Organic matter was the largest contributor to light extinction. | 18 | Effect of Wuziyanzong Pill on sperm quality and calcium ion content in oligoasthenospermia rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Wuziyanzong treatment on the sperm quality and content of calcium ions(Ca 2+) in oligoasthenospermia rats.METHODS:A model of oligoasthenospermia was induced in 50 Sprague Dawley rats by treatment with tripterygium glycosides at 30 mg/kg per day for 8 weeks.They were divided randomly into a model group,a positive group(Huangjingzanyu capsule,3.01 g/kg),and low,medium and high dose Wuziyanzong treatment groups(2.30,4.60,9.20 g/kg crude drug respectively) with 10 in each group.Another 10 rats were used as a control group.The rats in the control and model groups were administered distilled water,while the rats in the remaining groups were administered Wuziyanzong for 30 d.The epididymides were removed,spermatozoa recovered and the sperm density and viability were measured.The spermatozoa were purified and the contents of Ca 2+ in the cytoplasm and mitochondria were detected by flow cytometry and atomic absorption spectrometry,respectively.RESULTS:After 8 weeks of treatment with tripterygium glycosides,the sperm density,sperm activity and the Ca 2 + content of spermatozoa in the model rats were all significantly decreased compared with the control group(all P<0.05).After 30 d treatment,the sperm density and activity improved and the Ca 2 + content of sperm were increased significantly in the medium and high dose Wuziyanzong treatment groups in comparison with the model group(all P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The Wuziyanzong treatment increased sperm density,improved sperm viability and enhanced the content of Ca 2+ in the sperm cytoplasm and mitochondria in this rat model of oligoasthenospermia. | Tongsheng Wang Jinling Huang Deling Wu Qing Li Xiangguo Liu Han Chen Lei Qiao Dongdong Li Jun Li | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4: | 11 |

| 20 | Is Chinese Medicine Injection Applicable for Treating Acute Lung Injury and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome?A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials显示文摘Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine injection(CMI)for treating acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome(ALI/ARDS).Methods Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were identified by searching 3 English databases and 4 Chinese databases from their inceptions until February 2019.The Cochrane Handbook was used to evaluate risk of bias in the included studies.Data analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.3.3 software.Results A total of 19 eligible RCTs involving 1,334 participants was included in this systematic review and meta-analysis.The main meta-analysis showed that CMI combined with conventional therapy(CT)was more effective than CT alone in reducing the acute physiology and chronic health evaluation(APACHE)H score[mean difference(MD):−1.74 points,95%confidence interval(CI):−2.77 to−0.71,I^2=0]and increasing the total effective rate[relative risk(RR):1.35,95%CI:1.17 to 1.56,I^2=37%].Compared with CT,CMI combined with CT showed improvements in the arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2,MD:9.25 mm Hg,95%CI:0.87 to 17.63,I^2=98%)and oxygenation index[arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)/fraction of inspired oxygen(FiO2),MD:50.75 mm Hg,95%CI:35.18 to 66.31,I^2=94%].CMI plus CT was superior to CT in reducing the systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS)score(MD:−0.84 points,95%CI:−1.26 to−0.42,I^2=65%),length of hospital stay(MD:−4.22 days,95%CI:−6.49 to−1.95,I^2=92%),and duration of mechanical ventilation(MD:−2.94 days,95%CI:−4.68 to−1.21,I^2=89%).Only 1 study reported adverse events.Conclusions CMI as an adjuvant therapy showed great potential benefits for the treatment of ALI/ARDS.However,we could not make a definite conclusion due to low quality of included studies and uncertain security.Future studies should focus on improving research design,especially in blindness and placebo.The reporting of adverse events was also needed. | CHEN Yuan-bin LIU Qiao XIE Han YIN Shuo-miao WU Lei YU Xu-hua FAN Long LIN Lin | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020,26,11: | 9 |
