1Anthropogenic emission inventories in China:a review显示文摘The development of reliable anthropogenic emission inventories is essential for both understanding the sources of air pollution and designing effective air-pollution-control measures in China. However, it is challenging to quantify emissions in China accurately, given the variety of contributing sources, the complexity of the technology mix and the lack of reliable measurements. Over the last two decades,tremendous efforts have been made to improve the accuracy of emission inventories, and significant improvements have been realized. More reliable statistics and survey-based data have been used to reduce the uncertainties in activity rates and technology distributions. Local emission factors and source profiles covering various sources have been measured and reported. Based on these local databases, improved emission inventory models have been developed for power plants, large industrial plants and the residential,transportation and agricultural sectors. In this paper, we review the progress that has been made in developing inventories of anthropogenic emissions in China. We first highlight the major updates that have been made to emission inventory models and the underlying data by source category. We then summarize the sector-based estimates of emissions of different species contained in current inventories. The progress that has been made in the development of model-ready emissions is also presented. 2Vehicular volatile organic compounds losses due to refueling and diurnal process in China: 2010–2050显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) are crucial to control air pollution in major Chinese cities since VOCs are the dominant factor influencing ambient ozone level, and also an important precursor of secondary organic aerosols. Vehicular evaporative emissions have become a major and growing source of VOC emissions in China. This study consists of lab tests, technology evaluation, emissions modeling, policy projections and cost-benefit analysis to draw a roadmap for China for controlling vehicular evaporative emissions. The analysis suggests that evaporative VOC emissions from China's light-duty gasoline vehicles were approximately 185,000 ton in 2010 and would peak at 1,200,000 ton in 2040 without control. The current control strategy implemented in China, as shown in business as usual(BAU) scenario, will barely reduce the long-term growth in emissions. Even if Stage II gasoline station vapor control policies were extended national wide(BAU + extended Stage II), there would still be over 400,000 ton fuel loss in 2050. In contrast, the implementation of on-board refueling vapor recovery(ORVR) on new cars could reduce 97.5% of evaporative VOCs by 2050(BAU + ORVR/BAU + delayed ORVR). According to the results, a combined Stage II and ORVR program is a comprehensive solution that provides both short-term and long-term benefits. 3Responses of vegetation cover to the Grain for Green Program and their driving forces in the He-Long region of the middle reaches of the Yellow River显示文摘The implementation of the Grain for Green Program is a great breakthrough in the history of China's ecological environment construction,which can control soil erosion effectively,increase land productivity and improve the ecological environment.To investigate the eco-environmental benefits brought by the Grain for Green Program,the spatiotemporal variations of vegetation cover in the growing season from 2000 to 2010 across the Hekou-Longmen(He-Long) region were analyzed by using remote sensing information,meteorological data and land use data.Moreover,the impacts of climate and human activities on vegetation change were evaluated objectively.Annual vegetation cover in the growing season increased very significantly.Increased vegetation cover occurred in 98.7% of the region,of which the area for vegetation cover improved slightly constituted 79.8% of the whole area.Vegetation moderately improved was mainly distributed in the south of the He-Long region,covering 9.6% of the area,and the area for vegetation basically unchanged concentrated in the middle and upper reaches of the Wuding River.Precipitation was found to be an important natural factor influencing vegetation cover change.The area of vegetation cover showing a significantly positive correlation with precipitation occupied 22.14% of the region.As driven by policies from the Grain for Green Program,forestland increased significantly and land use structure became more intensive.Human activities played a positive and effective role in the protection,restoration and improvement of vegetation in the places where vegetation cover was basically unchanged,even though precipitation declined greatly,and vegetation improved moderately with massive increases of forestland and grassland.JianXiang LIU ZhiGuang LI XiaoPing ZHANG Rui LI XianChun LIU HanYang ZHANG 2013Journal of Arid Land2013,5,4:7
4Numerical analysis of thermal-hydraulic behavior of supercritical water in vertical upward/downward flow channels显示文摘Investigations on the thermal-hydraulic behavior in the SCWR fuel assembly have obtained a significant attention in the international SCWR community. However, there is still a lack of understanding of the heat transfer behavior of supercritical fluids. In this paper, the numerical analysis is carried out to study the thermal-hydraulic behaviour in vertical sub-channels cooled by supercritical water. Remarkable differences in characteristics of secondary flow are found, especially in square lattice, between the upward flow and downward flow. The turbulence mixing across sub-channel gap for downward flow is much stronger than that for upward flow in wide lattice when the bulk temperature is lower than pseudo-critical point temperature. 6VOCs evaporative emissions from vehicles in China:Species characteristics of different emission processes显示文摘Vehicle evaporation is an essential source of VOCs in cities but is not well understood in China.Reported emission factors from previous studies are not enough for understanding the atmospheric chemical process of vehicular evaporative VOCs.In this work,a serious of detailed VOCs speciation profiles are developed based on test processes and emission processes.A mass balance method was used to divide different emission processes during diurnal tests.The results show that headspace vapor of gasoline cannot represent the real-world vehicle evaporation because of the significant differences in VOCs speciation profiles,especially for aromatics.To further distinguish emissions from evaporation and exhaust,only the ratios of MTBE/benzene and MTBE/toluene can serve as indicators when considering species from all evaporative processes.Besides,emissions from different sources change significantly with the seasons.To solve these problems,we developed a monthly comprehensive evaporation speciation profile.The individual profiles at the emission processes are weighted by the emission of the in-use vehicle fleet in Beijing to derive the comprehensive speciation profile of evaporative VOCs.Ozone formation potential(OFP)and secondary organic aerosol potential(SOAP)were used to evaluate the environmental impact.For SOAP,100 g evaporative emissions are equal to 6.05-12.71 g toluene in different months,much higher than that given using headspace vapors,especially in winter(7.2 times higher in December).These findings would improve our understanding of the evaporative VOCs emissions in China and their environmental impacts(e.g.,O3 and SOA formation).Hanyang Man Huan Liu He Niu Kai Wang Fanyuan Deng Xiaotong Wang Qian Xiao Jiming Hao 2020Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2020,,1:4
7An on-chip intestine-liver model for multiple drugs absorption and metabolism behavior simulation显示文摘A double-layer microfluidic chip integrated with a hollow fiber(HF)was developed to reconstitute the intestine-liver functionality for studying the absorption and metabolism of combination drugs.Caco-2 cells were inoculated in the HF cavity at the top of the serpentine channel to simulate the intestinal tissue for drug absorption and transport studied,and Hep G2 cells,seeded in the bottom chamber,were used to mimic the liver for metabolism-related studies.Genistein and dacarbazine were selected for combination drug therapy and its effects on cell viability,hepatotoxicity,and cell cycle arrest under drug-conditioned culture were investigated.The results suggested that the combined concentration below-100μg/m L had no significant inhibitory effect on Hep G2 cell viability,and therefore Hep G2 cells maintained their drug metabolism ability.When the drug concentration was increased above 250μg/m L,Hep G2 cells underwent apoptosis.Detection of metabolites by mass spectrometry proved the effective metabolism in the microchip model.This dynamic,co-culture microchip successfully provided a podium for long-term observation of absorption,transport,and metabolism of combination drugs,and could be an effective in vitro simulation model for further clinical research.Mingsha Jie Haifeng Lin Ziyi He Hanyang Liu Haifang Li Jin-Ming Lin 2018Science China Chemistry2018,61,2:3
8Facile preparation of core-shell Si@Li4Ti5O12 nanocomposite as large-capacity lithium-ion battery anode显示文摘As a promising alternative anode material,silicon(Si)presents a larger capacity than the commercial anode to achieve large capacity lithium-ion batteries.However,the application of pure Si as anode is hampered by limitations such as volume expansion,low conductivity and unstable solid electrolyte interphase.To break through these limitations,the core-shell Si@Li4Ti5O12nanocomposite,which was prepared via in-situ self-assembly reaction and decompressive boiling fast concentration method,was proposed in this work.This anode combines the advantages of nano-sized Si particle and pure Li4Ti5O12(LTO)coating layer,improving the performance of the lithium-ion batteries.The Si@Li4Ti5O12 anode displays a high initial discharge/charge specific capacity of 1756/1383 m Ahg^-1 at 500 mAg^-1(representing high initial coulombic efficiency of 78.8%),a large rate capability(specific capacity of 620 mAhg^-1 at4000 mAg^-1),an outstanding cycling stability(reversible specific capacity of 883 mAhg^-1 after 150 cycles)and a low volume expansion rate(only 3.3% after 150 cycles).Moreover,the synthesis process shows the merits of efficiency,simplicity,and economy,providing a reliable method to fabricate large capacity Si@Li4Ti5O12nanocomposite anode materials for practical lithium-ion batteries.Mengjing Liu Hanyang Gao Guoxin Hu Kunxu Zhu Hao Huang 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,1:3

10Landscape Pattern Analysis of International Livable Communities Based on Satellite Images of Wenjiang District, Chengdu City显示文摘This paper used Google Earth satellite maps of Wenjiang District, Chengdu City in 2008, 2012 and 2015 as basic data sources, and field investigation data in recent years, and employed Photoshop and Auto CAD to analyze landscape pattern of urban and suburban areas of Wenjiang District—the international livable communities. The results showed that urban forest patches accounted for the absolute dominance in the study area, the overall landscape fragmentation index in 2008 was 0.0054, landscape diversity index 1.3603, landscape dominance index 0.2937, and evenness index 0.8452. From 2008 to 2012, patch density index reduced by 7.04, landscape fragmentation index increased by 0.0014, diversity index reduced by 0.043, evenness index reduced by 0.0269, landscape dominance index increased by 0.0027. From 2012 to 2015, patch density index increased by 1.22, landscape fragmentation index kept stable, diversity index reduced by 0.024, evenness index reduced by 0.0149, landscape dominance index increased by 0.0196. 12Relationship between H_(2)O_(2) accumulation and NO synthesis during osmotic stress:promoted somatic embryogenesis of Fraxinus mandshurica显示文摘Osmotic stress promotes somatic embryogenesis of Fraxinus mandshurica,which leads to accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS).The single pieces of cotyledons of F.mandshurica were used as explants to induce somatic embryogenesis in osmotic-stress medium.Furthermore,the hydrogen peroxide H_(2)O_(2) content of explanted cells was varied by adding exogenous H_(2)O_(2) or catalase solution to assess the effects of the exogenous H_(2)O_(2)on somatic embryogenesis,intracellular H_(2)O_(2)accumulation,and the relationship between signaling mediated by ROS or reactive nitrogen species.The results revealed that exogenous H_(2)O_(2)(100?300μmol L^(–1))increased the number of somatic embryos.On 60th day of exogenous H_(2)O_(2)(200μmol L^(–1))treatment,the number of somatic embryos of explants treated,which was 136.54%,was higher than the control.Moreover,exogenous H_(2)O_(2)(100μmol L^(–1))significantly increased the intracellular H_(2)O_(2)content and enhanced the activities of superoxidase dismutase and peroxidase.Finally,exogenous H_(2)O_(2)(100μmol L^(–1))activated the intracellular non-enzymatic pathway for nitric oxide(NO)synthesis.The somatic embryogenesis in broadleaf trees increases with the change of endogenic ROS content,and depends on the upregulation of antioxidant enzymes.Both H_(2)O_(2)and NO,as signaling molecules,were found to be involved in the process of somatic embryogenesis in broadleaf trees.In the process of exogenous H_(2)O_(2)promoting somatic embryogenesis,NO synthesis depended on non-enzymatic reactions.These results provide a scientific basis for resolving the mechanism by which ROS levels are regulated during somatic embryogenesis of broadleaf trees and establish a reasonable and efficient technology system for regulating somatic embryogenesis of trees.Ling Yang Hanyang Guo Yingying Liu Dongyan Zhang Hongnan Liu Hailong Shen 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,3:1
13Regioselective oxidation of tetracycline by permanganate through alternating susceptible moiety and increasing electron donating ability显示文摘Permanganate has attracted much attention in wide range of chemistry and particularly in degradation of environmental pollutants.However,few studies have discussed the feature of regioselective reactivity of permanganate with specific moiety of the target compound.Herein,we studied the reaction between permanganate and tetracycline that is an emerging micropollutant with different species containing several electron-rich groups.The second-order rate constants increased from 6.0 to 9.0 and could be quantitatively modeled by considering the speciation of both reactants,yielding kTC0=11.7(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1,kTC-=35.7(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1,kTC2-=43.1(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 for individual reaction channels.Degradation products were then identified as the hydroxylated and demethylated compounds.The result suggested a rate-limiting step of simple hydroxylation at the phenolic and/or alkene moieties,while the demethylation should be caused by the unavoidably formed manganese oxide via single electron oxidation.This is supported by the DFT calculation,indicating the primary oxidation of phenolic group of TC0 with activation barrier of 44.5 kcal/mol and of alkene group of TC-and TC2-with activation barriers of 44.0 and 43.4 kcal/mol,respectively.This is in agreement with the experimental results,implying the alternation of regioselectivity associated with the deprotonation process.The result was further supported by performing the Fukui function and electrostatic potential analysis,reflecting the more probable site and better electron donating tendency beneficial to the permanganate oxidation.Xiaohua Jiang William AJefferson Dean Song Hanyang Cheng Fengmin Li Zhimin Qiang Aiqian Zhang Huijuan Liu Jiuhui Qu 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,1:1

20Design and Investigation of a High-Sensitivity Tilt Sensor Based on FBG显示文摘In this paper,a high-sensitivity fiber Bragg grating(FBG)tilt sensor using a cantilever-based structure is introduced.Two FBGs are fixed on a specially designed elastomer.One end of the elastomer is connected to the mass block,and the other end is connected to the shell.The principle of the tilt sensor is introduced in detail,and the mathematical model is established.The performance of the sensor is studied.The results show that there is a good linear relationship between the central wavelength difference of the two FBGs and the tilt angle in the range of-5°to 5°.The repeatability of the sensor is good,and the tilt sensitivity can reach 231.7 pm/°.The influence of the silicone oil on the damping capacity of the sensor is studied.The results show that the damping capacity of the sensor has been improved by sealing the silicone oil inside the shell of the sensor.The field test is carried out on a pier of an elevated bridge,and the result is good,which verifies the practicability of the sensor.Jianjun PAN Liangying WANG Wei HOU Hanyang Lv 2023Photonic Sensors2023,13,2:1
