| 3 | Fast Zn^(2+)mobility enabled by sucrose modified Zn^(2+)solvation structure for dendrite-free aqueous zinc battery显示文摘Aqueous zinc battery has been regarded as one of the most promising energy storage systems due to its low cost and environmental benignity.However,the safety concern on Zn anodes caused by uncontrolled Zn dendrite growth in aqueous electrolyte hinders their application.Herein,sucrose with multi-hydroxyl groups has been introduced into aqueous electrolyte to modify Zn^(2+)solvation environment and create a protection layer on Zn anode,thus effectively retarding the growth of zinc dendrites.Atomistic simulations and experiments confirm that sucrose molecules can enter into the solvation sheath of Zn^(2+),and the as-formed unique solvation structure enhances the mobility of Zn^(2+).Such fast Zn^(2+)kinetics in sucrose-modified electrolyte can successfully suppress the dendrite growth.With this sucrose-modified aqueous electrolyte,Zn/Zn symmetric cells present more stable cycle performance than those using pure aqueous electrolyte;Zn/C cells also deliver an impressive higher energy density of 129.7 Wh·kg^(−1)and improved stability,suggesting a great potential application of sucrose-modified electrolytes for future Zn batteries. | Yufang Cao Xiaohui Tang Linge Li Haifeng Tu Yuzhen Hu Yingying Yu Shuang Cheng Hongzhen Lin Liwen Zhang Jiangtao Di Yongyi Zhang Meinan Liu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,3: | 0 |

| 5 | Preparation of the selenome-thionine derivative of tab-toxin resistance protein显示文摘In order to obtain phase information for the X-ray diffraction of tabtoxin resistance protein (TTR) crystal using the MAD phasing method, a selenomethionine (Se-Met) derivative of TTR was overexpressed in E. coli strain M15, with pQE-30 plasmid, through IPTG induction in M9 medium containing Se-Met. The product was purified to an estimated homogeneity of greater than 95% according to SDS-PAGE, by a Ni-NTA metal affinity followed by a Mono Q anion exchange column chromatography. The successful substitution of Se-Met for methionine (Met) was confirmed by MALDI-TOF and ESI-Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry analysis. | 9 | Development of a rapid neutralizing antibody test for SARS-CoV-2 and its application for neutralizing antibody screening and vaccinated serum testing显示文摘Background:Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease(COVID-19),the high infection rate and mutation fre-quency of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),the causative agent,have contributed to the ongoing global pandemic.Vaccination has become the most effective means of controlling COVID-19.Tra-ditional neutralizing tests of sera are complex and labor-intensive,therefore,a rapid test for detecting neutralizing antibodies and antibody status post-immunization is needed.Methods:Based on the fact that antibodies exhibit neutralizing activity by blocking the binding of the S protein receptor-binding domain(S-RBD)to ACE2,we developed a rapid neutralizing antibody test,ACE2-Block-ELISA.To evaluate the sensitivity and specificity,we used 54 positive and 84 negative serum samples.We also tested the neutralizing activities of monoclonal antibodies(mAbs)and 214 sera samples from healthy individuals im-munized with the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.Results:The sensitivity and specificity of the ACE2-Block ELISA were 96.3%and 100%,respectively.For neu-tralizing mAb screening,ch-2C5 was selected for its ability to block the ACE2-S-RBD interaction.A plaque assay confirmed that ch-2C5 neutralized SARS-CoV-2,with NT 50 values of 4.19,10.63,and 1.074μg/mL against the SARS-CoV-2 original strain,and the Beta and Delta variants,respectively.For the immunized sera samples,the neutralizing positive rate dropped from 82.14%to 32.16%within 4 months post-vaccination.Conclusions:This study developed and validated an ACE2-Block-ELISA to test the neutralizing activities of an-tibodies.As a rapid,inexpensive and easy-to-perform method,this ACE2-Block-ELISA has potential applications in rapid neutralizing mAb screening and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine evaluation. | Yuchang Li Mingyue Wang Hongzhen Wu Hui Zhao Lei Dong Yunfei Li Xiaofeng Li Ying Tang Sen Zhang Jing Li Chengfeng Qin Tao Jiang Yongqiang Deng Xiaoping Kang | 2022 | Infectious Medicine2022,1,2: | 0 |
