| 1 | Isolation and Characterization of Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens L-1 for Biocontrol of Pear Ring Rot显示文摘Considering the heavy losses caused by pear ring rot(Botryosphaeria berengeriana) disease, the potential biocontrol agent against B. berengeriana was isolated and characterized in this work. Bacteria, isolated from pear orchard rhizosphere soil, were screened for the biological control of pear ring rot caused by B. berengeriana. Among them, strain L-1 showed noticeable inhibitory activities against B. berengeriana and six other commonly occurring postharvest pathogens. Molecular methods indicated strain L-1 was Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The potential of strain L-1 as an effective biocontrol agent was further estimated. Results showed strain L-1 could successfully colonize in pear wounds, its colonies reached 142.35 folds on 4 days post inoculation, and maintained at a high level during storage. In addition, strain L-1 caused abnormal hyphae growth of B. berengeriana,and its inhibitory percentage against pear ring rot reached 76.55% in vivo on 11 days post inoculation. Strain L-1 significantly induced the peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) activities and delayed the accumulation of malondialdehyde(MDA) in pears. What's more, strain L-1 did not impair the fruit quality. The relationship between the turning radius of the robot and the length of two links is discussed in order to optimize its mechanism design. | 4 | Solvation effects on brain uptakes of isomers of ^(99m)Tc brain imaging agents显示文摘Analysis of electrostatic hydration free energies of the isomers of the 99mTc-BAT and 99mTc-DADT complexes is carried out using the computer simulation technique. The results show that not only a correlation exists between the logarithm of the brain uptake and the electrostatic hydration free energy for the isomers of 99mTc-brain radiopharmaceu-ticals, but also a linear relationship exists between the logarithm of the ratio of the brain uptake of the syn isomer to that of the anti one and the difference between the electrostatic hydration free energy of the syn-isomer and that of the anti one. Furthermore, the investigation on the important factors influencing the brain uptakes of 99mTc-radiophar-maceuticals and the reasons of the different biodistribution of the isomers of the 99mTc-complexes is explored at the molecular level. | 6 | A novel deletion mutation, c.1296delT in the BCOR gene, is associated with oculo-facio-cardio-dental syndrome显示文摘The purpose of the present study was to analyze the clinical phenotypes of a girl with oculo-facio-cardio-dental(OFCD)syndrome and to identify the potential pathogenic mutation responsible for her disease. The patient underwent detailed clinical examinations and phenotype data were collected over a follow-up period of 9 years. Mutation analysis of the candidate gene BCOR was performed with polymerase chain reaction and Sanger sequencing. BCOR of 60 unrelated normal individuals were also sequenced as a control group. Clinical phenotyping and follow-up study results indicate that this patient had multiple system anomalies including ocular, facial, cardiac, dental, and limb malformations. In addition, papilloma of the choroid plexus was identified, which represents the first report of this phenotype in an OFCD patient. A novel deletion mutation, c.1296 delT in exon4 of the BCOR gene, was identified in this patient and was not found in her parents or in 60 normal unrelated individuals. This deletion was a frameshift mutation and is proposed to encode a premature stop codon, thus producing a truncated protein. Our patient fitted the diagnostic criteria for OFCD syndrome and we report the first papilloma of the choroid plexus in an OFCD patient, expanding the recognized phenotypic spectrum of this disease. | 7 | Clinical features, survival and prognostic factors of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective: To assess the clinical features, survival and prognostic factors of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).Methods: A retrospective study of 37 patients with primary testicular DLBCL was carried out from November 2003 to May 2012. Their clinical features, survival and prognostic factors were analyzed.Results: During a median follow-up period of 39.8 months(5.4-93.0 months), the median progression-free survival(PFS) was 26.2 months(95% CI: 0-65 months) and the 3-year overall survival(OS) rate was 78.4%. Within the whole cohort, the factors significantly associated with a superior PFS were limited stage(stage I/II), lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) ≤245 U/L, international prognostic index(IPI) ≤1, primary tumor diameter <7.5 cm, and patients who had complete response(CR) and received doxorubicin-contained chemotherapy(P<0.05). There was a trend toward superior outcome for patients who received combined therapy(surgery/chemotherapy/radiotherapy)(P=0.055). Patients who had CR, primary tumor diameter <7.5 cm and IPI score ≤1 were significantly associated with longer PFS at multivariate analysis.Conclusions: Primary testicular DLBCL had poorer survival. CR, primary tumor diameter and IPI were independent prognostic factors. | 13 | Local inhibition of GABA affects precedence effect in the inferior colliculus显示文摘The precedence effect is a prerequisite for faithful sound localization in a complex auditory environment,and is a physiological phenomenon in which the auditory system selectively suppresses the directional information from echoes.Here we investigated how neurons in the inferior colliculus respond to the paired sounds that produce precedence-effect illusions,and whether their firing behavior can be modulated through inhibition with gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA).We recorded extracellularly from 36 neurons in rat inferior colliculus under three conditions: no injection,injection with saline,and injection with gamma-aminobutyric acid.The paired sounds that produced precedence effects were two identical 4-ms noise bursts,which were delivered contralaterally or ipsilaterally to the recording site.The normalized neural responses were measured as a function of different inter-stimulus delays and half-maximal interstimulus delays were acquired.Neuronal responses to the lagging sounds were weak when the inter-stimulus delay was short,but increased gradually as the delay was lengthened.Saline injection produced no changes in neural responses,but after local gamma-aminobutyric acid application,responses to the lagging stimulus were suppressed.Application of gamma-aminobutyric acid affected the normalized response to lagging sounds,independently of whether they or the paired sounds were contralateral or ipsilateral to the recording site.These observations suggest that local inhibition by gamma-aminobutyric acid in the rat inferior colliculus shapes the neural responses to lagging sounds,and modulates the precedence effect. | Yanjun Wang Ningyu Wang Dan Wang Jun Jia Jinfeng Liu Yan Xie Xiaohui Wen Xiaoting Li | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014，9，4： | 4 |
| 14 | Recent progress in single chip white light-emitting diodes with the InGaN underlying layer显示文摘Tremendous progress has been achieved in white light-emitting diodes (LEDs). To further improve the quality of white light and simplify the fabrication process, a single chip white-light LED with the InGaN underlying layer (UL) was studied and fabricated. The turn-on voltage of this type of LED was 2.7 V, and the spectrum at a forward bias current of 20 mA was comprised of blue (443 nm) and yellow (563 nm) lights. The intensity ratio of blue to yellow light was almost constant with the in- creasing injection current in a certain scope, most important for the solid state illumination. | 19 | Single-cell Transcriptomic Analysis Reveals the Cellular Heterogeneity of Mesenchymal Stem Cells显示文摘Ex vivo-expanded mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have been demonstrated to be a heterogeneous mixture of cells exhibiting varying proliferative,multipotential,and immunomodulatory capacities.However,the exact characteristics of MSCs remain largely unknown.By singlecell RNA sequencing of 61,296 MSCs derived from bone marrow and Wharton’s jelly,we revealed five distinct subpopulations.The developmental trajectory of these five MSC subpopulations was mapped,revealing a differentiation path from stem-like active proliferative cells(APCs)to multipotent progenitor cells,followed by branching into two paths:1)unipotent preadipocytes or 2)bipotent prechondro-osteoblasts that were subsequently differentiated into unipotent prechondrocytes.The stem-like APCs,expressing the perivascular mesodermal progenitor markers CSPG4/MCAM/NES,uniquely exhibited strong proliferation and stemness signatures.Remarkably,the prechondrocyte subpopulation specifically expressed immunomodulatory genes and was able to suppress activated CD3^(+T) cell proliferation in vitro,supporting the role of this population in immunoregulation.In summary,our analysis mapped the heterogeneous subpopulations of MSCs and identified two subpopulations with potential functions in self-renewal and immunoregulation.Our findings advance the definition of MSCs by identifying the specific functions of their heterogeneous cellular composition,allowing for more specific and effective MSC application through the purification of their functional subpopulations. | Chen Zhang Xueshuai Han Jingkun Liu Lei Chen Ying Lei Kunying Chen Jia Si Tian-yi Wang Hui Zhou Xiaoyun Zhao Xiaohui Zhang Yihua An Yueying Li Qian-Fei Wang | 2022 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022，20，1： | 2 |
| 20 | Rock borehole shear tests in dam foundation of Xiangjiaba hydropower station显示文摘Xiangjiaba hydropower station is one of the cascade power stations on the Jinsha River, China. Due to the complicated geological conditions of its dam foundation, evaluating the rock mass quality and determining the mechanical parameters of rock masses are very important issues. To address these issues, several groups of rock borehole shear tests (RBSTs) were conducted on the black mudstone in the dam foundation of Xiangjiaba hydropower station in the second construction phase. Forty three groups of shear strengths of black mudstone samples were obtained from RBSTs, and the shear strength parameters (c and f ) were calculated using the least squares method. In addition, the limitations and merits of RBST employed in the Xiangjiaba hydropower station were discussed. Test results indicate that the shear strength parameters obtained from RBST have a good correlation with the results from sound wave test in borehole.
