A three-dimensional simulation model was established for the analysis of preparing the semisolid Al-3wt%Mg alloy. Through simulation and experiment, it is shown that the sloping angle of the plate greatly affects temperature and velocity distributions, and the temperature and velocity of the alloy at the exit of the sloping plate increase with the increase of the sloping angle. The alloy temperature decreases linearly from the pouring mouth to the exit. The alloy temperature at the exit increases obviously with the increase of pouring temperature. | 5 | Resistance Characteristics of Hydraulic Oil through Isodiametric T-type Duct with Sharp Corners显示文摘Rational determination and reduction of local energy loss of oil flow at pipe junctions are of important significance to improve hydraulic pipeline’s work efficiency, especially for complex hydraulic pipeline connected by isodiametric T-type ducts with sharp corners to get combined and divided flow. From this point of view, the formulae of resistance loss for combined flow and divided flow through isodiametric T-type duct with sharp corners as well as the correlations of resistance loss coefficients in the branches of the duct are derived using energy method. On this basis, resistance characteristics of hydraulic oil in the duct are obtained by numerical simulation of different flow modes, which are commonly applied in hydraulic pipelines, using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method, and the reasons for the resistance loss are analyzed based on the pressure change mechanism in the flow field. A part of simulation results was validated with the reference data. The research shows that for combined flows the resistance loss of symmetrical is lower than that of unsymmetrical to obtain low speed in common branch, but to gain high speed is quite the contrary, for divided flows, the symmetrical is always a reasonable choice to reduce resistance loss. | 6 | Improving Joint Morphologies and Tensile Strength of Al/Mg Dissimilar Alloys Friction Stir Lap Welding by Changing Zn Interlayer Thickness显示文摘The pure Zn foils with different thicknesses(0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mm) were selected as interlayers to improve the quality of friction stir lap welding joint of 7075-T6 Al and AZ31 B Mg dissimilar alloys. The effects of the interlayer thickness on joint formation, microstructure and tensile strength were analyzed. The results displayed that the maximum length of the boundary between stir zone(SZ) and thermo-mechanically affected zone in lower plate was obtained by the addition of the Zn interlayer with 0.05 mm thickness. The Mg–Zn intermetallic compounds(IMCs) were discontinuously distributed in the SZ, replacing the continuous Al–Mg IMCs. The size of Mg–Zn IMCs increased with the increase in the thickness of the Zn interlayer. | 13 | Design and experimental performance verification of a thermal property test-bed for lunar drilling exploration显示文摘Chinese Chang'e lunar exploration project aims to collect and return subsurface lunar soil samples at a minimum penetration depth of 2 m in 2017. However, in contrast to those on the Earth, automated drilling and sampling missions on the Moon raise the risk of burning bits.Test-beds are required for testing the thermal properties of drill tools in a lunar environment. In this paper, a novel temperature measuring method based on thermocouples and a slip ring was proposed. Furthermore, a data acquisition system for a drilling process was designed. A vacuous,cryogenic, and anhydrous soil environment simulating the lunar surface was established. A drilling test-bed that can reach a depth of 2.2 m was developed. A control strategy based on online monitoring signals was proposed to improve the drilling performance. Vacuum and non-vacuum experiments were performed to test the temperature rising effect on drill tools. When compared with the non-vacuum experiment, the vacuum temperature rise resulted in a 12 °C increase. | 14 | Theoretical insight into methanol steam reforming on indium oxide with different coordination environments显示文摘Indium oxide(In_2O_3) has demonstrated to be an effective non-noble metal catalyst for methanol steam reforming reaction(MSR).However, the reaction mechanism of MSR and crucial structure-activity relations determining the catalytic performance of In_2O_3 are still not fully understood yet. Using density functional theory(DFT) calculation, we systematically investigate the MSR process over a high-index In_2O_3(211) and a favoured catalytic cycle of MSR is determined. The results show that In_2O_3(211) possesses excellent dehydrogenation and oxidizing ability, on which CH_3 OH can readily adsorb on the In4 c site and be easily activated by the reactive lattice oxygens, resulting in a total oxidation into CO_2 rather than CO, while the H_2 formation through surface H–H coupling limits the overall MSR activity because of the strong H adsorption on the two-coordinated lattice O(O_(2c)). Our analyses show that the relatively inert three-coordinated lattice O(O_(3c)) could play an important catalytic role. To uncover the influence of the local coordination of surface In atoms and lattice O on the catalytic activity, we evaluate the activity trend of several types of In_2O_3 surfaces including(211),(111), and(100) by examining the rate-limiting, which reveals the following activity order:(211)>(111)>(100). | 15 | The study of slip line field and upper bound method based on associated flow and non-associated flow rules显示文摘At present,associated flow rule of traditional plastic theory is adopted in the slip line field theory and upper bound method of geotechnical materials. So the stress characteristic line conforms to the velocity line. It is proved that geotechnical materials do not abide by the associated flow rule. It is impossible for the stress characteristic line to conform to the velocity line. Generalized plastic mechanics theoretically proved that plastic potential surface intersects the Mohr-Coulomb yield surface with an angle,so that the velocity line must be studied by non-associated flow rule. According to limit analysis theory,the theory of slip line field is put forward in this paper,and then the ultimate bearing capacity of strip footing is obtained based on the associated flow rule and the non-associated flow rule individually. These two results are identical since the ultimate bearing capacity is independent of flow rule. | 16 | Transplantation of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Attenuates Acute Liver Failure in Mice via an Interleukin-4-dependent Switch to the M2 Macrophage Anti-inflammatory Phenotype显示文摘Background and Aims:Transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)derived from bone marrow(BM)is an alternative treatment of acute liver failure(ALF)mainly be-cause of the resulting anti-inflammatory activity.It is not known how MSCs regulate local immune responses and liver regeneration.This study explored the effects of MSCs on hepatic macrophages and the Wnt signaling pathway in ALF.Methods:MSCs were isolated from BM aspirates of C57BL/6J mice,and transplanted in mice with ALF induced by D-galactosamine(D-Gal).The proliferation of hepato-cytes was assayed by immunohistochemical(IHC)staining of Ki-67 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA).The levels of key proteins in the Wnt signaling pathway were assayed by western blotting and cytokines were determined enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs).A mac-rophage polarization assay characterized the M1/M2 ratio.The potential role of interleukin-4(IL-4)in the biological ac-tivity of MSCs was determined by silencing of IL-4.Results:Transplantation of allogeneic MSCs significantly attenuated D-Gal-induced hepatic inflammation and promoted liver re-generation.MSC transplantation significantly promoted a phenotypic switch from proinflamatory M1 macrophages to anti-inflammatory M2 macrophages,leading to significant Wnt-3a induction and activation of the Wnt signaling path-way in mice with D-Gal-induced ALF.Of the paracrine fac-tors secreted by MSCs(G-CSF,IL-6,IL-1 beta,IL-4,and IL-17A),IL-4 was specifically induced following transplantation in the ALF model mice.The silencing of IL-4 significantly ab-rogated the phenotypic switch to M2 macrophages and the protective effects of MSCs in both the ALF model mice and a co-culture model in an IL-4 dependent manner.Conclu-sions:In vivo and in vitro studies showed that MSCs ame-liorated ALF through an IL-4-dependent macrophage switch toward the M2 anti-inflammatory phenotype.The findings may have clinical implications in that overexpression of IL-4 may enhance the therapeutic effects of allogeneic MSC transplantation in the treatment of ALF. | Jinglin Wang Haoran Ding Jingchao Zhou Senzhe Xia Xiaolei Shi Haozhen Ren | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4: | 2 |

| 18 | Advanced Coverage Optimization Techniques for Small Cell Clusters显示文摘Coverage optimization is a main challenge for small cell clusters which are considered to be a promising solution to provide seamless cellular coverage for large indoor or outdoor areas. This paper focuses on small cell cluster coverage problems and proposes both centralized and distributed self-optimization methods. Modified Particle swarm optimization(MPSO) is introduced to centralized optimization which employs particle swarm optimization(PSO) and introduces a heuristic power control scheme to accelerate the algorithm to search for the global optimum solution. Distributed coverage optimization is modeled as a non-cooperative game, with a utility function considering both throughput and interference. An iterative power control algorithm is then proposed using game theory(DGT) which converges to Nash Equilibrium(NE). | 19 | Comparisons of AGRI/FY-4A Cloud Fraction and Cloud Top Pressure with MODIS/Terra Measurements over East Asia显示文摘Fengyun-4 A(FY-4 A),the second generation of China’s geostationary meteorological satellite,provides high spatiotemporal resolution cloud products over East Asia.In this study,cloud fraction(CFR)and cloud top pressure(CTP)products in August 2017 derived from the Advanced Geosynchronous Radiation Imager(AGRI)aboard FY-4 A(AGRI/FY-4 A)are retrospectively compared with those from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)aboard Terra(MODIS/Terra)over East Asia.To avoid possible errors in the comparison caused by the lower temporal coverage of MODIS/Terra products compared to that of AGRI/FY-4 A over the same region and to account for time lags between observations of the two instruments,we construct datasets of AGRI/FY-4 A CFR and CTP to match those of MODIS/Terra in each scan over East Asia in August 2017.Results show that the CFR and CTP datasets of the two instruments generally agree well,with the linear correlation coefficients(R)between CFR(CTP)data of 0.83(0.80)regardless of time lags.Though longer time lags contribute to the worse consistency between CFR(CTP)data derived from observations of the two instruments in most cases,large CFR/CTP discrepancies do not always match with long time lags.Large CFR discrepancies appear in the vicinity of the Tibetan Plateau(TP;28°–45°N,75°–105°E).These differences in the cloud detection by the two instruments largely occur when MODIS/Terra detects clear-sky while AGRI/FY-4 A detects higher values of CFR,and this accounts for 61%of the CFR discrepancy greater than 50%near the TP.In the case of CTP,the largest discrepancies appear in the eastern Iranian Plateau(IP;25°–45°N,60°–80°E),where there are some samples with long time lags(20–35 min)and fewer daily data samples are available for computing monthly means compared to other regions since there are many clearsky data samples there during the study period. | Tao WANG Jiali LUO Jinglin LIANG Baojian WANG Wenshou TIAN Xiaoyan CHEN | 2019 | Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,4: | 2 |
