Lipid accumulation and CO_2 utilization of two marine oil-rich microalgal strains in response to CO_2 aeration显示文摘Biological CO_2 sequestration by microalgae is a promising and environmentally friendly technology applied to sequester CO_2. The characteristics of neutral lipid accumulation by two marine oil-rich microalgal strains, namely, Isochrysis galbana and Nannochloropsis sp., through CO_2 enrichment cultivation were investigated in this study. The optimum culture conditions of the two microalgal strains are 10% CO_2 and f medium. The maximum biomass productivity, total lipid content, maximum lipid productivity, carbon content, and CO_2 fixation ability of the two microalgal strains were obtained. The corresponding parameters of the two strains were as follows:((142.42±4.58) g/(m^2·d),(149.92±1.80) g/(m^2·d)),((39.95±0.77)%,(37.91±0.58)%),((84.47±1.56) g/(m^2·d),(89.90±1.98) g/(m^2·d)),((45.98±1.75)%,(46.88±2.01)%), and((33.74±1.65) g/(m^2·d),(34.08±1.32) g/(m^2·d)). Results indicated that the two marine microalgal strains with high CO_2 fixation ability are potential strains for marine biodiesel development coupled with CO_2 emission reduction. | WANG Shuai ZHENG Li HAN Xiaotian YANG Baijuan LI Jingxi SUN Chengjun | 2018 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,2: | 4
Model comparisons on molten core-concrete interactions显示文摘Based on the plant model of 600-MW PWR,the molten core-concrete interactions(MCCI) under different models are studied.Station blackout (SBO) with steam-driven auxiliary feed water pump failure is selected as the case for the model comparisons analysis. The result shows that thermal resistance model between debris and concrete has much influence on the consequence of MCCI.The concrete erosion rate calculated with gas film model is much higher than that of slag film model. Some other model comparisons such as the chemical reaction heat and the configuration molten pool are also discussed. | TONG Lili CAO Xuewu LI Jingxi YANG Yajun | 2009 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2009,20,4: | 2
Cryo-EM structures for the Mycobacterium tuberculosis iron-loaded siderophore transporter IrtAB显示文摘The adenosine 5'-triphosphate(ATP)-binding cassette(ABC)transporter,IrtAB,plays a vital role in the replication and viability of Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb),where its function is to import iron-loaded siderophores.Unusually,it adopts the canonical type IV exporter fold.Herein,we report the structure of unliganded Mtb IrtAB and its structure in complex with ATP,ADP,or ATP analogue(AMP-PNP)at resolutions ranging from 2.8 to 3.5Å.The structure of IrtAB bound ATP-Mg2+shows a“head-to-tail”dimer of nucleotide-binding domains(NBDs),a closed amphipathic cavity within the transmembrane domains(TMDs),and a metal ion liganded to three histidine residues of IrtA in the cavity.Cryo-electron microscopy(Cryo-EM)structures and ATP hydrolysis assays show that the NBD of IrtA has a higher affinity for nucleotides and increased ATPase activity compared with IrtB.Moreover, the metal ion located in the TM region of IrtA is critical for the stabilization of the conformation of IrtAB during the transport cycle. This study provides a structural basis to explain the ATP-driven conformational changes that occur in IrtAB. | Shan Sun Yan Gao Xiaolin Yang Xiuna Yang Tianyu Hu Jingxi Liang Zhiqi Xiong Yuting Ran Pengxuan Ren Fang Bai Luke WGuddat Haitao Yang Zihe Rao Bing Zhang | 2023 | Protein & Cell2023,14,6: | 0
Decision-making Method of Sharing Mode for Multi-microgrid System Considering Risk and Coordination Cost显示文摘Power sharing can improve the benefit of the multi-microgrid(MMG)system.However,the information disclosure may appear during the sharing process, which would bring privacy risk to a local microgrid.Actually, the risk and coordination cost are different in different sharing modes. Therefore, this paper develops a decision-making method to decide the most suitable one of three mostly used sharing modes(i.e.,cooperative game with complete information, cooperative game with incomplete information, and noncooperative game).Firstly, power sharing paradigms and coordination mechanisms in the three modes are formulated in detail.Particularly, different economic operation models of MMG system are included to analyze the economic benefit from different sharing modes.Based on the different disclosed information, the risk cost is evaluated by using the simplified fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP).And the coordination cost for different sharing modes is expressed in different functions. In addition,a hierarchical evaluation system including three decision-making factors(e.g.,economics,risk,and coordination)is set up.Meanwhile,a combination weighting method(e.g.,the simplified FAHP combined with the anti-entropy weight method)is applied to obtain the weight of each factor for comprehensive evaluation. Finally, the optimal sharing solution of MMG system is decided by comparing and analyzing the difference among the three sharing modes.Numerical results validate that the proposed method can provide a reference to deciding a suitable sharing mode. | Hongjun Gao Jingxi Yang Shuaijia He Jianglin Zhang Junyong Liu Mingyang Hu | 2022 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,6: | 0
Label-Free Virtual HER2 Immunohistochemical Staining of Breast Tissue using Deep Learning显示文摘The immunohistochemical(IHC)staining of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)biomarker is widely practiced in breast tissue analysis, preclinical studies, and diagnostic decisions, guiding cancer treatment and investigation of pathogenesis.HER2 staining demands laborious tissue treatment and chemical processing performed by a histotechnologist, which typically takes one day to prepare in a laboratory, increasing analysis time and associated costs. Here,we describe a deep learning-based virtual HER2 IHC staining method using a conditional generative adversarial network that is trained to rapidly transform autofluorescence microscopic images of unlabeled/label-free breast tissue sections into bright-field equivalent microscopic images, matching the standard HER2 IHC staining that is chemically performed on the same tissue sections. The efficacy of this virtual HER2 staining framework was demonstrated by quantitative analysis,in which three board-certified breast pathologists blindly graded the HER2 scores of virtually stained and immunohistochemically stained HER2 whole slide images(WSIs)to reveal that the HER2 scores determined by inspecting virtual IHC images are as accurate as their immunohistochemically stained counterparts.A second quantitative blinded study performed by the same diagnosticians further revealed that the virtually stained HER2 images exhibit a comparable staining quality in the level of nuclear detail, membrane clearness, and absence of staining artifacts with respect to their immunohistochemically stained counterparts. This virtual HER2 staining framework bypasses the costly, laborious, and time-consuming IHC staining procedures in laboratory and can be extended to other types of biomarkers to accelerate the IHC tissue staining used in life sciences and biomedical workflow. | Bijie Bai Hongda Wang Yuzhu Li Kevin de Haan Francesco Colonnese Yujie Wan Jingyi Zuo Ngan B.Doan Xiaoran Zhang Yijie Zhang Jingxi Li Xilin Yang Wenjie Dong Morgan Angus Darrow Elham Kamangar Han Sung Lee Yair Rivenson Aydogan Ozcan | 2022 | Biomedical Engineering Frontiers2022,3,1: | 0
A process-oriented approach for identifying potential landslides considering time-dependent behaviors beyond geomorphological features显示文摘Geomorphological features are commonly used to identify potential landslides.Nevertheless, overemphasis on these features could lead to misjudgment. This research proposes a process-oriented approach for potential landslide identification that considers time-dependent behaviors. The method integrates comprehensive remote sensing and geological analysis to qualitatively assess slope stability, and employs numerical analysis to quantitatively calculate aging stability.Specifically,a time-dependent stability calculation method for anticlinal slopes is developed and implemented in discrete element software, incorporating time-dependent mechanical and strength reduction calculations.By considering the time-dependent evolution of slopes, this method highlights the importance of both geomorphological features and time-dependent behaviors in landslide identification. This method has been applied to the Jiarishan slope(JRS)on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as a case study. The results show that the JRS,despite having landslide geomorphology,is a stable slope, highlighting the risk of misjudgment when relying solely on geomorphological features. This work provides insights into the geomorphological characterization and evolution history of the JRS and offers valuable guidance for studying slopes with similar landslide geomorphology.Furthermore, the process-oriented method incorporating timedependent evolution provides a means to evaluate potential landslides, reducing misjudgment due to excessive reliance on geomorphological features. | Xiang Sun Guoqing Chen Xing Yang Zhengxuan Xu Jingxi Yang Zhiheng Lin Yunpeng Liu | 2024 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,3: | 0
Enhancement of morphological and emission stability of deep-blue small molecular emitter via a universal side-chain coupling strategy for optoelectronic device显示文摘Film morphology of emissive layers is crucial to the performance and stability of solution-processable organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs). Compared to the interpenetration of conjugated polymer chain, small molecular emitter with a flexible side chain always presents easily aggregation upon external treatment, and caused π-electronic coupling, which is undesirable for the efficiency and stability of deep-blue OLEDs. Herein, we proposed a side-chain coupling strategy to enhance the film morphological an emission stability of solution-processable small molecular deep-blue emitter. In contrary to “parent” MC8 TPA,the crosslinkable styryl and vinyl units were introduced as ended unit at the side-chain of Cm TPA and OEYTPA. Interestingly, Cm TPA and OEYTPA films present a relatively stable morphology and uniform deep-blue emission after thermal annealing(160 ℃) in the atmosphere, different to the discontinuous MC8 TPA annealed film. Besides, compared to the Cm TPA and OEYTPA ones, serious polaron formation in the MC8 TPA annealed film also negative to the deep-blue emission, according to transient absorption analysis. Therefore, both Cm TPA and OEYTPA annealed film obtained at 140 ℃ present an excellent deep-blue ASE behavior with a 445 nm, but absence for MC8 TPA ones, associated with the disruption of annealed films. Finally, enhancement of device performance based on Cm TPA and OEYTPA film(~40%)after thermal annealing with a similar performance curves also confirmed the assumption above. Therefore, these results also supported the effectiveness of our side-chain coupling strategy for optoelectronic applications. | Ning Sun Han Gao Lili Sun Jingxi An Man Xu Chen Sun Yamin Han Jinyi Lin Jiangli Cai Mingjian Ni Liangliang He Jinghao Yang Zhoulu Wang Lubing Bai Xinwen Zhang Qi Wei Xuehua Ding Chengrong Yin Linghai Xie Wei Huang | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,2: | 0
Experimental study on the oil production characteristics during the waterflooding of different types of reservoirs in Ordos Basin, NW China显示文摘Waterflooding experiments were conducted in micro-models(microscopic scale)and on plunger cores from low permeability,extra-low permeability and ultra-low permeability reservoirs in the Ordos Basin under different displacement pressures using the NMR techniques to find out pore-scale oil occurrence state, oil production characteristics and residual oil distribution during the process of waterflooding and analyze the effect of pore structure and displacement pressure on waterflooding efficiency.Under bound water condition, crude oil mainly occurs in medium and large pores in the low-permeability sample, while small pores and medium pores are the main distribution space of crude oil in extra-low permeability and ultra-low permeability samples.During the waterflooding, crude oil in the medium and large pores of the three types of samples are preferentially produced. With the decrease of permeability of the samples, the waterflooding front sequentially shows uniform displacement, network displacement and finger displacement, and correspondingly the oil recovery factors decrease successively. After waterflooding, the residual oil in low-permeability samples is mainly distributed in medium pores, and appears in membranous and angular dispersed phase;but that in the extra-low and ultra-low permeability samples is mainly distributed in small pores, and appears in continuous phase formed by a bypass flow and dispersed phase. The low-permeability samples have higher and stable oil displacement efficiency, while the oil displacement efficiency of the extra-low permeability and ultra-low permeability samples is lower, but increases to a certain extent with the increase of displacement pressure. | XIAO Wenlian YANG Yubin LI Min LI Nong YOU Jingxi ZHAO Jinzhou ZHENG Lingli ZHOU Kerning REN Jitian WANG Yue | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,4: | 0
Cryo-EM structures of a prokaryotic heme transporter CvdDC显示文摘DearEditor,Heme is an essential cofactor required across all kingdoms of life utilized in numerous biological processes, including cellular respiration.CydDC is a prokaryotic ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporter required for heme assembling in respiratory cytochrome bd oxidase(Georgiou et al.,1987;Poole et al.,1989),a promising target for drug discovery(Borisov et al.,2011).CydDC is thought to play a role in maintaining an optimum periplasmic redox poise that is required for the incorporation of heme cofactors(Yamashita et al.,2014).It also suggested that CydDC is involved in heme processing by mediating glutathione/cysteine translocation(Cook and Poole,2000;Cook et al.,2002),although a role in heme translocation seems unlikely(Yamashita et al.,2014).To date,CydDC has been shown to be important for disulfide bond formation, motility, respiration, and tolerance to nitric oxide and antibiotics(Poole et al.,2019). | Chen Zhu Yanfeng Shi Jing Yu Wenhao Zhao Lingqiao Li Jingxi Liang Xiaolin Yang Bing Zhang Yao Zhao Yan Gao Xiaobo Chen Xiuna Yang Lu Zhang Luke W.Guddat Lei Liu Haitao Yang Zihe Rao Jun Li | 2023 | Protein & Cell2023,14,12: | 0
The effect of subbranch for the quantification of local hemodynamic environment in the coronary artery:a computed tomography angiography–based computational fluid dynamic analysis显示文摘Background:Hemodynamic parameters derived from computed tomography angiography–based computational fluid dynamics(CFD)analysis have been widely used for clinical decision-making and researches to assess the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques and explain the initialization and development of atherosclerosis.Subbranches in the CFD model might affect the accuracy of hemodynamic parameters, but the effectiveness has been least quantified. Methods:A coronary artery baseline model was generated with focal stenosis at the proximal left anterior descending artery.Nineteen comparing models were created by systematically removing various subbranches to examine the changes in hemodynamic parameters, including time-averaged pressure(TAP),time-averaged wall shear stress(TAWSS),oscillatory shear index(OSI),and particle relative residence time(RRT).Changes in these parameters were assessed quantitatively around the stenosis and near the region where subbranches were removed. Results:The removal of subbranches caused a significant change in outflow rate, and there was generally a decrease in all CFD parameters in the regions of interest with a decrease in outflow rate. The subbranch removal had a significant impact on the calculation of TAWSS,OSI,and RRT,whereas TAP was insensitive to the removal with approximately 0.25%variation in all 19 models. The local effect from removing branch segments generally became negligible after 5 diameters away from the cutting-off position, but the decrease could be affected by other factors, such as a large curvature. Conclusion:The outflow rate is a dominant factor for the calculation of TAP,TAWSS,OSI,and RRT.Removal of subbranches has a minor effect on the TAP calculation, but its effect is considerable on the TAWSS,OSI,and RRT.The effect of subbranch removal is limited in a region with 5 local diameters. | Yibing Shi Jin Zheng Ning Yang Yang Chen Jingxi Sun Ying Zhang Xuanxuan Zhou Yongguang Gao Suqing Li Haijing Zhu Julio Acosta-Cabronero Ping Xia Zhongzhao Teng | 2022 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2022,2,4: | 0
Universal linear intensity transformations using spatially incoherent diffractive processors显示文摘Under spatially coherent light,a diffractive optical network composed of structured surfaces can be designed to perform any arbitrary complex-valued linear transformation between its input and output fields-of-view(FOVs)if the total number(N)of optimizable phase-only diffractive features is≥~2N_(i)N_(o),where Ni and No refer to the number of useful pixels at the input and the output FOVs,respectively. Here we report the design of a spatially incoherent diffractive optical processor that can approximate any arbitrary linear transformation in time-averaged intensity between its input and output FOVs.Under spatially incoherent monochromatic light, the spatially varying intensity point spread function(H)of a diffractive network, corresponding to a given,arbitrarily-selected linear intensity transformation, can be written as H(m,n;m′,n′)=|h(m,n;m′,n′)|^(2),where h is the spatially coherent point spread function of the same diffractive network, and(m,n)and(m′,n′)define the coordinates of the output and input FOVs,respectively.Using numerical simulations and deep learning, supervised through examples of input-output profiles,we demonstrate that a spatially incoherent diffractive network can be trained to all-optically perform any arbitrary linear intensity transformation between its input and output if N≥~2N_(i)N_(o).We also report the design of spatially incoherent diffractive networks for linear processing of intensity information at multiple illumination wavelengths, operating simultaneously. Finally,we numerically demonstrate a diffractive network design that performs all-optical classification of handwritten digits under spatially incoherent illumination, achieving a test accuracy of>95%.Spatially incoherent diffractive networks will be broadly useful for designing all-optical visual processors that can work under natural light. | Md Sadman Sakib Rahman Xilin Yang Jingxi Li Bijie Bai Aydogan Ozcan | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,9: | 0
