3Features analysis on Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the features of the distribution and differentiation ofTraditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndromes in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).METHODS:We collected clinical data on illness course,age,fasting blood glucose,saccharogenic hemoglobin,TCM syndromes,tongue,and pulse of238 DPN patients.Differentiated main syndromes(Yin deficiency and exuberant heat,invasion of spleen by damp-heat,deficiency of both Qi and Yins,and deficiency of both Yin and Yang)and accompanying syndromes(blood stasis and phlegm-dampness)of diabetes were also recorded.The features of DPN syndromes were then analyzed.RESULTS:Among the four main syndromes of diabetes,deficiency of both Yin and Yang was the most common in the 238 DPN patients,of which89%-96%had blood stasis.CONCLUSION:The method of differentiating syndromes of diabetes can be applied to DPN patients.Deficiency of both Yin and Yang,often accompanied by blood stasis,is commonly seen.Mingdi Li Hao Su Yuyan Xiang Jingyi Zhang Jingjie Zhao Lan Lin 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:6

5Trade-offs/Synergies in Land-use Function Changes in Central China from 2000 to 2015显示文摘To solve the problems caused by irrational land-use, studying the functions of land-use, its changing characteristics, and the relationship between each land-use function will be beneficial for achieving sustainable land development. In this research, we constructed an evaluation framework of multiple land-use functions(LUFs) based on sustainable land-use theory. Specifically,, we classified the multiple LUFs into three types: agricultural production function(APF), living function(LVF), and ecological service function(ESF).We then spatialized the economic and social data, and implemented the InVEST(Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs) model and RUSLE(Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation) model to evaluate each sub-LUF(crop production, aquatic production, woodlands production, livestock production, living space, life quality, water supply, soil conservation, climate regulation, biological conservation) in central China in 2000 and again in 2015. Moreover, by analyzing the changes to LUFs and the relationships between each LUF change, we were able to discern patterns of LUF change in central China. The results show that: (1)42.12% of total territory in the study area increased their APF from 2000 to 2015, while 43.41% of the lands increased their ESF yet only 8.98% of the lands increased their LVF;(2) in Hubei and Hunan, there was more land with an increase of APF than in Anhui or Jiangxi. The APF in Jiangxi exhibited the greatest decline over time period, the LVF increased more in the provincial capital cities than in other regions, and the ESF expanded more in Jiangxi than in the other provinces;and (3) the changes in APF were significantly and positively correlated with changes in LVF. 7Morphological and Sulfur-Isotopic Characteristics of Pyrites in the Deep Sediments from Xisha Trough,South China Sea显示文摘Pyrite is one of the common authigenic minerals in marine sediments.Previous studies have shown that the morphological and isotopic characteristics of pyrite are closely related to the geochemical environment where it is formed.To better understand the for-mation mechanism of authigenic pyrite,we analyzed the isotopic composition,morphology,and distribution of pyrite in the sediment at 500m below the seafloor from Xisha Trough,South China Sea.Mineral morphologies were observed by scanning electron micros-copy and Raman spectrography.X-Ray computed tomography was applied to measure the particle size of pyrite.The size of pyrite crystals in the matrix sediment mainly ranged between 25 and 65µm(av.ca.40µm),although crystals were larger(av.ca.50μm)in the veins.The pyrites had a fine-grained truncated octahedral shape with occasionally well-developed growth steps,which implies the low growth rate and weak anaerobic oxidation of methane-sulfate reduction when pyrite was formed.Theδ^(34)S values of pyrites ranged from+20.8‰Vienna-defined Canyon Diablo Troilite(V-CDT)to+33.2‰V-CDT and from+44.8‰V-CDT to+48.9‰,which suggest two growth stages.In the first stage,with the continuous low methane flux,the pyrite possibly formed in an environment with good access to seawater.In the second stage,the pyrites mainly developed in sediment fractures and appeared in veins,probably due to the limited availability of sulfate.The less exposure of pyrite to the environment in the second stage was probably caused by sediment accumulation or perturbation.In this study,an episodic pyritization process was identified,and the paleoenvironment was reconstructed for the sediment investigated.CHANG Jingyi LIU Yujia LU Hailong LU Jing’an SU Xin YE Jianliang XIE Wenwei 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1:0

9Antimicrobial resistance characteristics and phylogenetic relationships of pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates from different environmental samples along a laying hen production chain显示文摘Antimicrobial resistance in the laying hen production industry has become a serious public health problem.The antimicrobial resistance and phylogenetic relationships of the common conditional pathogen Enterococcus along the laying hen production chain have not been systematically clarified.105 Enterococcus isolates were obtained from 115 environmental samples (air,dust,feces,fies,sewage,and soil) collected along the laying hen production chain (breeding chicken,chick,young chicken,and commercial laying hen).These Enterococcus isolates exhibited resistance to some clinically relevant antibiotics,such as tetracycline (92.4%),streptomycin (92.4%),and erythromycin (91.4%),and all strains had multidrug resistance phenotypes.Whole genome sequencing characterized 29 acquired antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) that conferred resistance to 11 classes of antibiotics in 51pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates,and lsa(E),which mediates resistance to pleuromutilins,always co-occurred with lnu(B).Alignments with the Mobile Genetic Elements database identified four transposons (Tn554,Tn558,Tn6261,and Tn6674) with several ARGs(erm(A),ant(9)-la,fex(A),and optrA) that mediated resistance to many clinically important antibiotics.Moreover,we identified two new transposons that carried ARGs in the Tn554 family designated as Tn7508 and Tn7492.A complementary approach based on conventional multi-locus sequence typing and whole genome single nucleotide polymorphism analysis showed that phylogenetically related pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates were widely distributed in various environments on different production farms.Our results indicate that environmental contamination by antimicrobial-resistant Enterococcus requires greater attention,and they highlight the risk of pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus and ARGs disseminating along the laying hen production chain,thereby warranting effective disinfection.Cong Lin Yuxuan Feng Xianjun Xie Haoyu Zhang Jie Wu Yixiao Zhu Jing Yu Jingyi Feng Wen Su Shanming Lai Anyun Zhang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,3:0
10Sustained Decadal Warming Phase in the Southwestern Indian Ocean since the Mid-1990s显示文摘Regardless of the slowdown in global warming during the hiatus period, sea surface temperatures(SSTs) in the southwestern Indian Ocean(SWIO) have experienced sustained decadal warming for more than two decades since the mid-1990 s. The SWIO SSTs warmed steadily during 1996–2016, causing a warming hot spot of 0.4 K decade-1 in a large region east of Madagascar. An upper-layer heat budget analysis indicated that heat advection by ocean currents was the greatest contributor to the warming of the SWIO SSTs. The existence of an anticyclonic geostrophic current along the western boundary of the SWIO tended to maintain such warming by transporting warmer water from the west into the SWIO region. In addition, net positive heat transport by ocean currents also occurred at the southern boundary of the SWIO as the climatological northward transport of cold water from the Southern Ocean weakened. This reduction in northward ocean currents at the surface was caused by local wind stress changes, leading to a southward Ekman current. Below the surface, an anticyclonic geostrophic current pattern existed around the warming center near the southeastern SWIO, which reduced the transport of cold waters from the Southern Ocean and warmed the SWIO. These processes near the two boundaries formed a self-sustaining positive feedback mechanism and favored the maintenance of sustained warming in the SWIO. 11Efficacy and safety of the combination of Liushen capsules and Arbidol in the treatment of COVID-19:protocol for a randomized,multi-center pilot study显示文摘Background:From early experience,some Traditional Chinese Medicine and Arbidol had effects of against COVID-19,infer that the combination of Liushen capsules and Arbidol may further increase the therapeutic.Methods/Design:We conducted a randomized,blank parallel-controlled,open-label,multi-center,basal therapy-loaded design clinical trial.A total of 40 patients are going to be recruited after satisfying the criteria.Participants will be allocated randomly into the treatment group with the combination of Arbidol and Liushen capsules and the control group with the basic therapy.Each group will receive treatment at least 7-days or until the virus becomes negative,and visits after drug administration at day 3(visit 1),the day when the virus becomes negative(visit 2),day 7(visit 3),the day before discharge(visit 4)and day 28(visit 5),to collect their survival status and disease prognosis so that the efficacy and safety of a combination of Arbidol and Liushen capsule will be evaluated.Discussion:We described the protocol of the first clinical trial for treatment COVID-19 by using a combination of Arbidol and Liushen capsules.The results of this study will provide a basis for the design and sample size estimate of subsequent large-scale clinical trials.Trial registration:This study has been registered at Chinese clinical trial Registry(chictr.org.cn):ChiCTR2000029993.Yangqing Zhan Zhengtu Li Jiayang He Shaoqiang Li Ye Lin Jingyi Liang Jie Zhou Yanmei Wu Xuandan Su Feng Ye Zifeng Yang 2020TMR Modern Herbal Medicine2020,3,4:0
12Features selection and prediction for IoT attacks显示文摘Cyber-attacks and anomaly detection are growing concerns in the Internet of Things(IoT).With fast-growing deployment and opportunities,an increasing number of attacks put IoT devices under the threat of continuous exploitation and danger.Malicious operation,denial of service,MITM,and scan are major types of attacks that can cause IoT devices to fail.We study how a variety of machine-learning algorithms,such as decision tree,random forest,and gradient-boosting machine(GBM)analyze and predict network attacks on IoT devices.By comparing performance indicators for various algorithms through different model evaluations,we conclude that a decision-tree algorithm is generally the most accurate compared with random forest and gradient-boosting machine,but the random forest algorithm has better AUC scores as it combines the results of multiple individual decision trees.Gradient-boosting machine performs well,but from an accuracy and time aspect,it may not be the best option.Jingyi Su Shan He Yan Wu 2022High-Confidence Computing2022,2,2:0
13Fungal diversity notes 1512–1610: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions on genera and species of fungal taxa显示文摘This article is the 14th in the Fungal Diversity Notes series,wherein we report 98 taxa distributed in two phyla,seven classes,26 orders and 50 families which are described and illustrated.Taxa in this study were collected from Australia,Brazil,Burkina Faso,Chile,China,Cyprus,Egypt,France,French Guiana,India,Indonesia,Italy,Laos,Mexico,Russia,Sri Lanka,Thailand,and Vietnam.There are 59 new taxa,39 new hosts and new geographical distributions with one new combination.The 59 new species comprise Angustimassarina kunmingense,Asterina lopi,Asterina brigadeirensis,Bartalinia bidenticola,Bartalinia caryotae,Buellia pruinocalcarea,Coltricia 14Exploring the abundance and influencing factors of antimicrobial resistance genes in manure plasmidome from swine farms显示文摘Plasmids play a critical role in the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance genes(ARGs),however,a systematical understanding of ARGs originated from plasmids in swine production is currently lacking.Herein,quantitative polymerase chain reaction was applied to determine the prevalence of ten ARGs and the class1 integron gene intI1 of plasmid source in swinemanure from 44 farms in Sichuan,Hubei and Hebei provinces,China.All assayed ARGs were observed in plasmid DNA samples,and the average absolute abundance of aac(6’)-Ib-cr,blaNDM,blaCTX-M,optrA,ermB,floR,mcr-1,qnrS,tetM,sul1 and intI1 were 7.09,2.90,4.67,6.62,7.55,7.14,4.08,4.85,7.16,7.11 and 8.07 of 10 log copies/gram,respectively.IntI1 showed a high correlation(r>0.8,P<0.01)with the abundance of aac(6’)-Ib-cr and sul1 in swine manure.Moreover,the farm scale(i.e.,herd population)and geographical location were not found to be critical factors influencing the absolute abundance of ARGs of plasmid DNA in swine farms.However,the concentrations of florfenicol,Cu,Zn,Fe,total phosphorus(TP)and total potassium(TK)demonstrated a significant correlation with the abundance of several ARGs.Particularly,Cu and Zn had high correlations with optrA and blaCTX-M,respectively.Our results demonstrated that antibiotics,heavy metals and environmental nutrients are likely jointly contributing to the long-term persistence of ARGs in swine production.This study provides insights into the abundance and influencing factors of ARGs from swine manure,which is of significance for assessing and reducing the public health risks in livestock production.Zunfang Tu Junrui Shui Jinxin Liu Hongmei Tuo Haoyu Zhang Cong Lin Jingyi Feng Yuxuan Feng Wen Su Anyun Zhang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:0
15Screening of rootstocks with resistance to chilling and continuous cropping but without compromising fruit quality for protected watermelon production显示文摘Chilling stress and continuous cropping obstacles limit sustainable production of watermelons under controlled environments.Grafting of watermelon scions onto resistant rootstocks is an effective strategy currently used to overcome these environment limitations.However,currently used commercial rootstocks adversely affect watermelon fruit quality.The chilling tolerance and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.niveum race 1(FON1)resistance of seven Cucurbit germplasms,including four watermelon germplasms(M08,TC,YL,and MY),two muskmelon cultivars(JT1 and JSM),and one commercial Cucurbita rootstock(QZ1)of watermelon,were explored in the current study.The effects of the rootstocks of these germplasms on watermelon resistance to chilling stress and continuous cropping obstacles were evaluated.TC rootstock showed the highest chilling tolerance and increased chilling tolerance of watermelon scion.All Cucurbit germplasms showed higher resistance to FON1 than watermelon cultivar N5(control).Watermelons grafted onto QZ1 showed the lowest wilt incidence and highest fruit yield but had the worst fruit quality after planting on soils continuously cropped for 11 years.Watermelons grafted onto TC showed higher resistance and yield and the best fruit quality.These findings indicate that TC has a large potential for use in grafting watermelon planted in continuously cropped soils(<10 years).TC can also be used as breeding rootstocks to improve watermelon resistance against continuous cropping obstacles without compromising fruit quality.Kai Xu Zhixiang Lan Qing Liu Yuxing Xue Jingyi Yan Zhuangzhuang Su Mengjie Cheng Feishi Luan Xian Zhang Hao Li 2022Vegetable Research2022,2,1:0

17Accuracy controlling and mechanical behaviors of precursor-derived ceramic SiOC microlattices by projection micro stereolithography(PμSL)3D printing显示文摘Precursor-derived ceramic SiOC(PDC-SiOC)microlattices exhibit excellent oxidation resistance,high-temperature stability,and superior mechanical properties.However,the printing accuracy of the PDC-SiOC microlattices by 3D printing is still limited,and mechanical properties of the PDC-SiOC microlattices have not been studied systematically.Here,PDC-SiOC octet microlattices were fabricated by projection micro stereolithography(PμSL)3D printing,and photoabsorber(Sudan III)’s effect on the accuracy was systematically analyzed.The results showed that the addition of Sudan III improved the printing accuracy significantly.Then,the ceramization process of the green body was analyzed in detail.The order of the green body decreased,and most of their chemical bonds were broken during pyrolysis.After that,the PDC-SiOC microlattices with different truss diameters in the range of 52–220μm were fabricated,and their mechanical properties were investigated.The PDC-SiOC microlattices with a truss diameter of 52μm exhibited higher compression strength(31 MPa)than those with bigger truss diameters.The size effect among the PDC-SiOC microlattices was analyzed.Our work provides a deeper insight into the manufacturing of PDC-SiOC micro-scaled architectures by 3D printing and paves a path to the research of the size effect in ceramic structures.Ruyue Su Jingyi Chen Xueqin Zhang Xiong Gao Wenqing Wang Ying Li Rujie He 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,11:0
