| 1 | Prophylactic lateral pelvic lymph node dissection in stage Ⅳ low rectal cancer显示文摘AIM To assess the clinical significance of prophylactic lateral pelvic lymph node dissection (LPLND) in stage Ⅳ low rectal cancer.METHODS We selected 71 consecutive stage Ⅳ low rectal cancer patients who underwent primary tumor resection,and enrolled 50 of these 71 patients without clinical LPLN metastasis.The patients had distant metastasis such as liver,lung,peritoneum,and paraaortic LN.Clinical LPLN metastasis was defined as LN with a maximum diameter of 10 mm or more on preoperative pelvic computed tomography scan.All patients underwent primary tumor resection,27 patients underwent total mesorectal excision(TME) with LPLND(LPLND group),and 23 patients underwent only TME(TME group).Bilateral LPLND was performed simultaneously with primary tumor resection in LPLND group.R0 resection of both primary and metastatic sites was achieved in 20 of 50 patients.We evaluated possible prognostic factors for 5-year overall survival (OS),and compared 5-year cumulative local recurrence between the LPLND and TME groups.RESULTS For OS,univariate analyses revealed no significant benefit in the LPLND compared with the TME group (28.7% vs 17.0%,P = 0.523); multivariate analysis revealed that R0 resection was an independent prognostic factor.Regarding cumulative local recurrence,the LPLND group showed no significant benefit compared with TME group (21.4% vs 14.8%,P = 0.833).CONCLUSION Prophylactic LPLND shows no oncological benefits in patients with Stage Ⅳ low rectal cancer without clinical LPLN metastasis. | Hiroshi Tamura Yoshifumi Shimada Hitoshi Kameyama Ryoma Yagi Yosuke Tajima Takuma Okamura Mae Nakano Masato Nakano Masayuki Nagahashi Jun Sakata Takashi Kobayashi Shin-ichi Kosugi Hitoshi Nogami Satoshi Maruyama Yasumasa Takii Toshifumi Wakai | 2017 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2017，8，5： | 4 |

| 17 | Effects of a Single Bolus Intravenous Dose of Tramadol on Minimum Alveolar Concentration( MAC) of Sevoflurane in Dogs显示文摘Tramadol is an atypical opioid analgesic widely used in small animal practice.This study was designed to determine the effect of a single intravenous (IV) dose of tramadol on the minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) of sevoflurane in dogs.Six beagle dogs were anesthetized twice to determine the sevoflurane MAC with or without an administration of tramadol (4 mg/kg,IV) at 7-days interval.The sevoflurane MAC was determined using a tail clamp method in each dog ventilated with positive pressure ventilation.The tramadol administration produced a significant reduction in the sevoflurane MAC by 22.3 ± 12.2% (1.44 ± 0.28% with tramadol versus 1.86 ± 0.29% without tramadol,P =0.010).This MAC reduction had been determined from 122 ± 19 to 180 ± 41 min following the tramadol administration.During this period,the plasma concentrations of tramadol and its metabolite,O-desmethyltramadol (M1),decreased from 429 ± 64 to 332 ± 55 ng/mL and from 136 ± 24 to 114 ± 68 ng/mL,respectively,but these changes were not statistically significant (P = 0.070 for tramadol and P = 0.716 for M1).There was no significant difference in heart rate,mean arterial blood pressure and SpO2between the control and tramadol treatment.The dogs that received tramadol treatment sometimes breathed spontaneously.Therefore,their respiratory rates significantly increased and PETCO2decreased during the MAC determination.In conclusion,the single IV dose of tramadol produced a significant reduction in the sevoflurane MAC in dog. | Takaharu Itami Tomoohito Ishizuka Jun Tamura Sho Fukui Kenjirou Miyoshi Kazuto Yamashita | 2012 | 畜牧与兽医2012，44，S2： | 0 |
| 18 | Near-infrared polarimetry of the GG Tauri A binary system显示文摘A high angular resolution near-infrared image that shows the intensity of polarization for the GG Tau A binary system was obtained with the Subaru Telescope.The image shows a circumbinary disk scattering the light from the central binary. The azimuthal profile of the intensity of polarization for the circumbinary disk is roughly reproduced by a simple disk model with the Henyey-Greenstein phase function and the Rayleigh function, indicating there are small dust grains at the surface of the disk.Combined with a previous observation of the circumbinary disk, our image indicates that the gap structure in the circumbinary disk orbits counterclockwise, but material in the disk orbits clockwise. We propose that there is a shadow caused by material located between the central binary and the circumbinary disk.
