2Anti-loosening performance of coatings on fasteners subjected to dynamic shear load显示文摘This paper investigates the self-loosening of threaded fasteners subjected to dynamic shear load. Three kinds of typical coatings, PTFE, MoS_2, and TiN applied to bolts and nuts, are tested in this investigation. The study experimentally examines the loosening mechanisms of fasteners and assesses the anti-loosening performance of the three tested coatings based on their tightening characteristics, loosening curves, and the damage of thread surface. Additionally, the anti-loosening performance of the three coatings is compared under different load forms. The results indicate that the PTFE and MoS_2 coatings have significant anti-loosening effect, whereas the anti-loosening performance of Ti N coating is not satisfactory. It is also found that an appropriate increase of the initial tightening torque can significantly improve the anti-loosening effect. 3Relay-intercropping soybean with maize maintains soil fertility and increases nitrogen recovery efficiency by reducing nitrogen input显示文摘Optimized nitrogen(N)management can increase N-use efficiency in intercropping systems.Legume-nonlegume intercropping systems can reduce N input by exploiting biological N fixation by legumes.Measurement of N utilization can help in dissecting the mechanisms underlying N uptake and utilization in legume-nonlegume intercropping systems.An experiment was performed with three planting patterns:monoculture maize(MM),monoculture soybean(SS),and maize-soybean relay intercropping(IMS),and three N application levels:zero N(NN),reduced N(RN),and conventional N(CN)to investigate crop N uptake and utilization characteristics.N recovery efficiency and 15N recovery rate of crops were higher under RN than under CN,and those under RN were higher under intercropping than under the corresponding monocultures.Compared with MM,IMS showed a lower soil N-dependent rate(SNDR)in 2012.However,the SNDR of MM rapidly declined from 86.8%in 2012 to 49.4%in 2014,whereas that of IMS declined slowly from 75.4%in 2012 to 69.4%in 2014.The interspecific N competition rate(NCRms)was higher under RN than under CN,and increased yearly.Soybean nodule dry weight and nitrogenase activities were respectively 34.2%and 12.5%higher under intercropping than in monoculture at the beginning seed stage.The amount(Ndfa)and ratio(%Ndfa)of soybean N2 fixation were significantly greater under IS than under SS.In conclusion,N fertilizer was more efficiently used under RN than under CN;in particular,the relay intercropping system promoted N fertilizer utilization in comparison with the corresponding monocultures.An intercropping system helps to maintain soil fertility because interspecific N competition promotes biological N fixation by soybean by reducing N input.Thus,a maize-soybean relay intercropping system with reduced N application is sustainable and environmentally friendly.Qing Du Li Zhou Ping Chen Xiaoming Liu Chun Song Feng Yang Xiaochun Wang Weiguo Liu Xin Sun Junbo Du Jiang Liu Kai Shu Wenyu Yang Taiwen Yong 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,1:7
4A structural and data-driven approach to engineering a plant cytochrome P450 enzyme显示文摘Functional manipulation of biosynthetic enzymes such as cytochrome P450 s(or P450 s) has attracted great interest in metabolic engineering of plant natural products.Cucurbitacins and mogrosides are plant triterpenoids that share the same backbone but display contrasting bioactivities.This structural and functional diversity of the two metabolites can be manipulated by engineering P450 s.However,the functional redesign of P450 s through directed evolution(DE) or structure-guided protein engineering is time consuming and challenging,often because of a lack of high-throughput screening methods and crystal structures of P450 s.In this study,we used an integrated approach combining computational protein design,evolutionary information,and experimental data-driven optimization to alter the substrate specificity of a multifunctional P450(CYP87 D20)from cucumber.After three rounds of iterative design and evaluation of 96 protein variants,CYP87 D20,which is involved in the cucurbitacin C biosynthetic pathway,was successfully transformed into a P450 mono-oxygenase that performs a single specific hydroxylation at C11 of cucurbitadienol.This integrated P450-engineering approach can be further applied to create a de novo pathway to produce mogrol,the precursor of the natural sweetener mogroside,or to alter the structural diversity of plant triterpenoids by functionally manipulating other P450 s.Dawei Li Yongshuo Ma Yuan Zhou Junbo Gou Yang Zhong Lingling Zhao Lida Han Sergey Ovchinnikov Ling Ma Sanwen Huang Per Greisen Yi Shang 2019Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,7:5
5BYSL contributes to tumor growth by cooperating with the mTORC2 complex in gliomas显示文摘Objective:BYSL,which encodes the Bystin protein in humans,is upregulated in reactive astrocytes following brain damage and/or inflammation.We aimed to determine the role and mechanism of BYSL in glioma cell growth and survival.Methods:BYSL expression in glioma tissues was measured by quantitative real-time PCR,Western blot,and immunohistochemistry.In vitro assays were performed to assess the role of BYSL in cell proliferation and apoptosis.Protein interactions and co-localization were determined by co-immunoprecipitation and double immunofluorescence.The expression and activity of the AKT/m TOR signaling molecules were determined by Western blot analysis,and the role of BYSL in glioma growth was confirmed in an orthotopic xenograft model.Results:The BYSL m RNA and protein levels were elevated in glioma tissues.Silencing BYSL inhibited glioma cell proliferation,impeded cell cycle progression,and induced apoptosis,whereas overexpressing BYSL protein led to the opposite effects.We identified a complex consisting of BYSL,RIOK2,and m TOR,and observed co-localization and positive correlations between BYSL and RIOK2 in glioma cells and tissues.Overexpressing BYSL or RIOK2 increased the expression and activity of AKT/m TOR signaling molecules,whereas downregulation of BYSL or RIOK2 decreased the activity of AKT/m TOR signaling molecules.Silencing BYSL or RIOK2 decreased the growth of the tumors and prolonged the lifespan of the animals in an orthotopic xenograft model.Conclusions:High expression of BYSL in gliomas promoted tumor cell growth and survival both in vitro and in vivo.These effects could be attributed to the association of BYSL with RIOK2 and m TOR,and the subsequent activation of AKT signaling.Shangfeng Gao Zhuang Sha Junbo Zhou Yihao Wu Yunnong Song Cheng Li Xuejiao Liu Tong Zhang Rutong Yu 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:3

9Mechanistic aspects of facet-dependent CH_(4)/C_(2+)selectivity over aχ-Fe_(5)C_(2)Fischer-Tropsch catalyst显示文摘Structure-performance relationship is a complex issue in iron-catalyzed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis,and it is not easy to elucidate it by experimental investigations.First-principle calculation is a powerful method for explaining experimental results and guiding catalyst design.In this study,we investigated the reaction mechanisms of CH_(4)formation and C-C coupling on fourχ-Fe_(5)C_(2)surfaces and established the kinetic equations to compare the rates of CH_(4)formation and C_(1)+C_(1)coupling reactions and determine the CH_(4)/C_(2+)selectivity.The results show that the geometry of theχ-Fe_(5)C_(2)surfaces has little effect on the formation rate of CH_(4);however,the C_(1)+C_(1)coupling reactions are significantly affected by the surface geometry.The C_(1)+C_(1)coupling reaction rates on the terraced-like(510)and(021)surfaces are much higher than those on the stepped-like(001)and(100)surfaces.Based on these results,we established a Brùnsted-Evans-Polanyi(BEP)relationship between the effective barrier difference for CH_(4)formation and C_(1)+C_(1)coupling(ΔE_(eff))and the adsorption energy of C+4H(ΔE_(C+4H))onχ-Fe_(5)C_(2)surfaces.ΔE_(C+4H)can be used as a descriptor for CH_(4)/C_(2+)selectivity on different surfaces ofχ-Fe_(5)C_(2).Thanh Hai Pham Junbo Cao Nan Song Yueqiang Cao Bingxu Chen Gang Qian Xinggui Zhou De Chen Xuezhi Duan 2022Green Energy & Environment2022,7,3:1

12Strain-sensitive ferromagnetic two-dimensional Cr_(2)Te_(3)显示文摘Searching for room temperature magnetic two-dimensional(2D)materials is a charming goal,but the number of satisfied materials is tiny.Strain can introduce considerable deformation into the lattice structure of 2D materials,and thus significantly modulate their intrinsic properties.In this work,we demonstrated a remarkable strain-modulated magnetic properties in the chemical vapor deposited Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes grown on mica substrate.We found the Curie temperature of Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes can be positively and negatively modulated under tensile and compressive strain respectively,with a maximum varied value of -40 and-90 K,dependent on the thickness of samples.Besides,the coercive field of Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes also showed a significant decrease under the applied strain,suggesting the decrease of exchange interaction or the change of the magnetization direction.This work suggests a promise to employ interfacial strain to accelerate the practical application of room temperature 2D magnetics.Junchuan Zhong Mingshan Wang Teng Liu Yinghe Zhao Xiang Xu Shasha Zhou Junbo Han Lin Gan Tianyou Zhai 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1
