2Comparative genomic and transcriptomic analyses uncover the molecular basis of high nitrogen-use efficiency in the wheat cultivar Kenong 9204显示文摘Studying the regulatory mechanisms that drive nitrogen-use efficiency(NUE)in crops is important for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.In this study,we generated a high-quality genome assembly for the high-NUE wheat cultivar Kenong 9204 and systematically analyzed genes related to nitrogen uptake and metabolism.By comparative analyses,we found that the high-affinity nitrate transporter gene family had expanded in Triticeae.Further studies showed that subsequent functional differentiation endowed the expanded family members with saline inducibility,providing a genetic basis for improving the adaptability of wheat to nitrogen deficiency in various habitats.To explore the genetic and molecular mechanisms of high NUE,we compared genomic and transcriptomic data from the high-NUE cultivar Kenong 9204(KN9204)and the low-NUE cultivar Jing 411 and quantified their nitrogen accumulation under high-and low-nitrogen conditions.Compared with Jing 411,KN9204 absorbed significantly more nitrogen at the reproductive stage after shooting and accumulated it in the shoots and seeds.Transcriptome data analysis revealed that nitrogen deficiency clearly suppressed the expression of genes related to cell division in the young spike of Jing 411,whereas this suppression of gene expression was much lower in KN9204.In addition,KN9204 maintained relatively high expression of NPF genes for a longer time than Jing 411 during seed maturity.Physiological and transcriptome data revealed that KN9204 was more tolerant of nitrogen deficiency than Jing 411,especially at the reproductive stage.The high NUE of KN9204 is an integrated effect controlled at different levels.Taken together,our data provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of NUE and important gene resources for improving wheat cultivars with a higher NUE trait.Xiaoli Shi Fa Cui Xinyin Han Yilin He Long Zhao Na Zhang Hao Zhang Haidong Zhu Zhexin Liu Bin Ma Shusong Zheng Wei Zhang Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Fan Yaoqi Si Shuiquan Tian Jianqing Niu Huilan Wu Xuemei Liu Zhuo Chen Deyuan Meng Xiaoyan Wang Liqiang Song Lijing Sun Jie Han Hui Zhao Jun Ji Zhiguo Wang Xiaoyu He Ruilin Li Xuebin Chi Chengzhi Liang Beifang Niu Jun Xiao Junming Li Hong-Qing Ling 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,9:6

4Preparation and in vitro Release Performance of Sustained-release Captopril/Chitosan-gelatin Net-polymer Microspheres显示文摘The captopril/Chitosan-gelatin net-polymer microspheres(CTP/CGNPMs) were prepared using Chitosan(CTS) and gelatin(GT) by the methods of emulsification,cross-linked reagent alone or in combination and microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) added in the process of preparation of microspheres,which aimed to eliminate dose dumping and burst phenomenon of microspheres for the improvement of the therapeutic efficiency and the decrease of the side effects of captopril(CTP). The results indicated that CTP/CGNPMs had a spherical shape,smooth surface and integral structure inside but no adhesive phenomena in the preparation. The size distribution ranged from 220 μm to 280 μm. The CTP release test in vitro demonstrated that CTP/CGNPMs played the role of retarding the release of CTP compared with ordinary CTP tablets. The release behaviors of CGNPMS were influenced by preparation conditions such as experimental material ratio(EMR) and composition of cross linking reagents. Among these factors,the EMR(1/4),CLR(FA+SPP) and 0.75% microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) added to the microspheres constituted the optimal scheme for the preparation of CTP/CGNPMs. The ER,DL and SR of CTP/CGNPMs prepared according to the optimal scheme were 46.23±4.51%,9.95±0.77% and 261±42%,respectively. The CTP/CGNPMs had the good characteristics of sustained release of drug and the process of emulsification and cross-linking were simple and stable. 7Review of the direct thermochemical conversion of lignocellulosic biomass for liquid fuels显示文摘Increased demand for liquid transportation fuels, environmental concerns and depletion of petroleum resources requires the development of efficient conversion technologies for production of second-generation biofuels from non-food resources. Thermochemical approaches hold great potential for conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into liquid fuels. Direct thermochemical processes convert biomass into liquid fuels in one step using heat and catalysts and have many advantages over indirect and biological processes, such as greater feedstock flexibility, integrated conversion of whole biomass, and lower operation costs. Several direct thermochemical processes are employed in the production of liquid biofuels depending on the nature of the feedstock properties: such as fast pyrolysis/liquefaction of lignocellulosic biomass for bio-oil, including upgrading methods, such as catalytic cracking and hydrogenation. Owing to the substantial amount of liquid fuels consumed by vehicular transport, converting biomass into drop-in liquid fuels may reduce the dependence of the fuel market on petroleumbased fuel products. In this review, we also summarize recent progress in technologies for large-scale equipment for direct thermochemical conversion. We focus on the technical aspects critical to commercialization of the technologies for production of liquid fuels from biomass,including feedstock type, cracking catalysts, catalytic cracking mechanisms, catalytic reactors, and biofuel properties. 8Survival after radical cystectomy for bladder cancer:Multicenter comparison between minimally invasive and open approaches显示文摘Objective:To investigate oncological outcomes in patients with bladder cancer who underwent minimally invasive radical cystectomy(MIRC)or open radical cystectomy(ORC).Methods:We identified patients with bladder cancer who underwent radical cystectomy(RC)in 13 centers of the Chinese Bladder Cancer Consortium(CBCC).Perioperative outcomes were compared between MIRC and ORC.The influence of surgical approaches on overall survival(OS)and cancer-specific survival(CSS)in the entire study group and subgroups classified according to pathologic stage or lymph node(LN)status was assessed with the log-rank test.Multivariable Cox proportional hazard models were used to evaluate the association among OS,CSS and risk factors of interest.Results:Of 2098 patients who underwent RC,1243 patients underwent MIRC(1087 laparoscopic RC and 156 robotic-assisted RC,respectively),while 855 patients underwent ORC.No significant differences were noted in positive surgical margin rate and 90-day postoperative mortality rate.MIRC was associated with less estimated blood loss,more LN yield,higher rate of neobladder diversion,longer operative time,and longer length of hospital stay.There was no significant difference in OS and CSS according to surgical approaches(pZ0.653,and 0.816,respectively).Subgroup analysis revealed that OS and CSS were not significantly different regardless of the status of extravesical involvement or LN involvement.Multivariable Cox regression analyses showed that the surgical approach was not a significant predictor of OS and CSS.Conclusions:Our study showed that MIRC was comparable to conventional ORC in terms of OS and CSS.Weibin Xie Junming Bi Qiang Wei Ping Han Dongkui Song Lei Shi Dingwei Ye Yijun Shen Xin Gou Weiyang He Shaogang Wang Zheng Liu Jinhai Fan Kaijie Wu Zhiwen Chen Xiaozhou Zhou Chuize Kong Yang Liu Chunxiao Liu Abai Xu Baiye Jin Guanghou Fu Wei Xue Haige Chen Tiejun Pan Zhong Tu Tianxin Lin Jian Huang 2020Asian Journal of Urology2020,7,3:1
9The effect of annealing treatment on the performance of bulk heterojunction solar cells with donor and acceptor different weight ratios显示文摘Bulk heterojunction organic solar cells(OSCs) based on the blend of poly(2-methoxy-5(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene(MEH-PPV) and [6,6]-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester(PCBM) with different weight ratios(from 1:3 to 1:5) have been fabricated and the effect of annealing treatment on the performance of OSCs has also been studied.Experimental results point to the best optimized doping concentration 1:4 for MEH-PPV:PCBM.Furthermore,it is found that the devices with annealing treatment at 150℃ with 8 min show better performance compared with the devices without treatment.The series resistance(Rs) is decreased,while the shunt resistance(Rsh) increased by nearly 1.5 times.The short-circuit current density(Jsc) and fill factor(FF) are improved by annealing treatment.As a result,the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of the devices increases from 0.49 % to 1.21 % with the ratio of 1:3 and from 1.09% to 1.42% with the ratio of 1:4.SONG JingLu XU Zheng ZHANG FuJun ZHAO SuLing HU Tao LI JunMing LIU XiaoDong YUE Xin WANG YongSheng 2009Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2009,52,10:1

11Direct writing-in and visualizing reading-out data storage with high capacity in low-cost plastics显示文摘The explosive growth of the global data volume demands new and advanced data storage methods.Here,we report that data storage with ultrahigh capacity(~1 TB per disc)can be realized in low-cost plastics,including polycarbonate(PC),precipitated calcium carbonate(PCC),polystyrene(PS),and polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA),via direct fs laser writing.The focused fs laser can modify the fluorescence of written regions on the surface and in the interior of PMMA,enabling threedimensional(3D)information storage.Through the 3D laser processing platform,a 50-layer data record with low bit error(0.96%)is archived.Visual reading of data is empowered by the fluorescence contrast.The broad variation of fluorescence intensity assigns 8 gray levels,corresponding to 3 bits on each spot.The gray levels of each layer present high stability after longterm aging cycles,confirming the robustness of data storage.Upon single pulse control via a high-frequency electro-optic modulator(EOM),a fast writing speed(~1 kB/s)is achieved,which is limited by the repetition frequency of the fs laser.Xin Wei Weiwei Zhao Jintao Yang Yong Zhang Junming Song Zhenhua Ni Junpeng Lu Hongwei Liu 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,6:0
12A protective human antibody against respiratory syncytial virus by targeting a prefusion epitope across sites IV and V of the viral fusion glycoprotein显示文摘Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)is one of the leading pathogens that cause lower respiratory tract infections in infants and the elderly.Passive immunoprophylaxis with monoclonal antibody(mAb)has been approved to prevent morbidity and mortality from RSV infection in infants.Here we report the isolation of two neutralizing mAbs against RSV from convalescent children by prefusion form of fusion(F)glycoprotein as bait.One mAb RV11 exhibited good potency in neutralization of RSV strains from both A and B subtypes in cell-based assay,and protected mice from RSV infection in vivo.An RV11 escape mutant was identified,which contains an S443P mutation in F protein.Crystal structure showed the RV11 bound to a conserved prefusion epitope across the antigenic sites IV and V of the F glycoprotein.RV11 showed a strong synergistic effect when combined with two RSV antivirals,an F-targeting small molecular inhibitor ziresovir and a siteØneutralizing mAb D25(the parental mAb for nirsevimab).The study extended our knowledge to the neutralizing and protective epitopes of RSV,and the mAb RV11 deserves further development for clinical translation.Lianpan Dai Jian Song Lili Xu Zhao Gao Senyu Xu Yan Chai Liang Wang Mi Yang Tong Ma Qihui Wang Sushan Cao Junming Yie Gang Zou Zhengde Xie Jim Zhen Wu George Fu Gao 2023hLife2023,1,1:0
13Multi-dimensional hybrid flexible films promote uniform lithium deposition and mitigate volume change as lithium metal anodes显示文摘Lithium metal is the ultimate anode material for next-generation high-energy batteries.Yet,the practical application of lithium metal anodes is limited by the formation of Li dendrites and large volume changes.Herein,an effective multi-dimensional hybrid flexible film(MD-HFF)composed of iodine ion(0 dimension),CNTs(1 dimension)and graphene(2 dimensions)is designed for regulating Li deposition and mitigating volume changes.The multi-dimensional components serve separate roles:(1)iodine ion enhances the conductivity of the electrode and provides lithiophilic sites,(2)CNTs strengthen interlaminar conductance and mechanical strength,acting as a spring in the layered structure to alleviate volume changes during Li plating and stripping and(3)graphene provides mechanical flexibility and electrical conductivity.The resulting MD-HFF material supports stable Li plating/stripping and high Coulombic efficiency(99%)over 230 cycles at 1 mA cm^(-2) with a deposition capacity of 1 mAh cm^(-2).Theoretical calculations indicate that LiI contributes to the lateral growth of Li on the MD-HFF surface,thereby inhibiting the formation of Li dendrites.When paired with a typical NCM811 cathode,the assembled MD-HFF‖NCM811 cell exhibit improved capability and stable cycling performance.This research serves to guide material design in achieving Li anode materials that do not suffer from dendrite formation and volume changes.Jian Yang Tingting Feng Junming Hou Xinran Li Boyu Chen Cheng Chen Zhi Chen Yaochen Song Mengqiang Wu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:0
14Fine mapping and validation of a stable QTL for thousand-kernel weight in wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Thousand-kernel weight(TKW)is a measure of grain weight,a target of wheat breeding.The object of this study was to fine-map a stable quantitative trait loci(QTL)for TKW and identify its candidate gene in a recombinant inbred line(RIL)population derived from the cross of Kenong 9204(KN9204)and Jing411(J411).On a high-density genetic linkage map,24,26 and 25 QTL were associated with TKW,kernel length(KL),and kernel width(KW),respectively.A major and stable QTL,QTkw-2D,was mapped to an8.3 cM interval on chromosome arm 2DL.By saturation of polymorphic markers in its target region,QTkw-2D was confined to a 9.13 Mb physical interval using a secondary mapping population derived from a residually heterozygous line(F6:7).This interval was further narrowed to 2.52 Mb using QTkw-2D near-isogenic lines(NILs).NILs~(KN9204)had higher fresh and dry weights than NILsJ411at various grain-filling stages.The TKW and KW of NILs~(KN9204)were much higher than those of NILsJ411in field trials.By comparison of both DNA sequence and expression between KN9204 and J411,TraesCS2D02G460300.1(TraesKN2D01HG49350)was assigned as a candidate gene for QTkw-2D.This was confirmed by RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)of QTkw-2D NILs.These results provide the basis of map-based cloning of QTkw-2D,and DNA markers linked to the candidate gene may be used in marker-assisted selection.Deyuan Meng Aamana Batool Yazhou Xuan Ruiqing Pan Na Zhang Wei Zhang Liya Zhi Xiaoli Ren Wenqing Li Jijie Li Yanxiao Niu Shuzhi Zheng Jun Ji Xiaoli Shi Lei Wang Hongqing Ling Chunhua Zhao Fa Cui Xigang Liu Junming Li Liqiang Song 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,5:0
15Luminescent ionic lattice occupation and wide tunable emission spectra of La_(2)MgZrO_(6):Bi^(3+),Eu^(3+)double perovskite phosphors for white light LED显示文摘La_(2)Mg_(1-x/2)Zr_(1-x/2)O_(6):xBi^(3+)(x=0.01-0.035,abbreviated as LMZ:Bi^(3+))and La_(2-y)Mg_(0.99)Zr_(0.99)O_(6):0.02Bi^(3+),yEu^(3+)(y=0.1-0.11,abbreviated as LMZ:Bi^(3+),Eu^(3+))double-perovskite phosphors were prepared through high-temperature solid-phase method.The emission spectrum of LMZ:xBi^(3+)(x=0.01-0.035)phosphors excited at 353 nm is asymmetric in the range between 375 and 650 nm,showing strong green light.There are two luminescent centers of[Mg1/Zr2-O_(6)]and[Mg2/Zr1-O_(6)]for Bi^(3+)occupation,which were analyzed through different excitation wavelengths,Gaussian fitting peaks,fluorescence decay curves and Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray diffraction data.Through deep study of the luminescent lattices in the LMZ matrix,the green to blue tunning-emission is observed by different excitation wavelengths.In addition,red emission is obtained by co-doping Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+),and adjustable emission was investigated by changing the content of Eu^(3+)in the co-doped phosphor formulation,so it is converted from green emission to red emission.The above results demonstrate how to tune emission color by co-doping rare earth ions in the double perovskite phosphor,which is attractive for future applications.Chen Yang Chenli Fan Fayaz Hussain Weiqing Sheng Kaixin Song Jun Wu Qingming Huang Weitao Su Junming Xu Shikuan Sun Dawei Wang 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,4:0
