| 1 | Large-area straight,regular periodic surface structures produced on fused silica by the interference of two femtosecond laser beams through cylindrical lens显示文摘Inhomogeneity and low efficiency are two important factors that limit the application of laser-induced periodic surface structures(LIPSSs),especially on glass surfaces.In this study,two-beam interference(TBI)of femtosecond lasers was used to produce large-area straight LIPSSs on fused silica using cylindrical lenses.Compared with those produced us-ing a single circular or cylindrical lens,the LIPSSs produced by TBI are much straighter and more regular.Depending on the laser fluence and scanning velocity,LIPSSs with grating-like or spaced LIPSSs are produced on the fused silica sur-face.Their structural colors are blue,green,and red,and only green and red,respectively.Grating-like LIPSS patterns oriented in different directions are obtained and exhibit bright and vivid colors,indicating potential applications in surface coloring and anti-counterfeiting logos. | Long Chen Kaiqiang Cao Yanli Li Jukun Liu Shian Zhang Donghai Feng Zhenrong Sun Tianqing Jia | 2021 | Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,12: | 7 |

| 4 | A biomimetic bi-layered tissue engineering scaffolds for osteochondral defects repair显示文摘Osteochondral defects are most commonly characterized by damages to both cartilage and underlying subchondral bone tissues,thus developing bi-layered scaffold that can concurrently regenerate these two specific lineages becomes challenge.In this study,the highly biomimetic bi-layered scaffolds were successfully prepared using human-like-collagen(HLC),hyaluronan(HA)and nano hydroxyapatite(HAP)particles,combined with'liquid phase synthesis'technology,freeze-drying and chemical crosslinking techniques,which was simulated the composition of natural extracellular matrix to repair osteochondral defects.This novel bilayer osteochondral graft had a seamlessly integrated layer structure,suitable pore size,high levels of porosity,and excellent mechanical properties.In vitro cell experiments of the bilayer scaffold indicated that the scaffold could promote the proliferation and adhesion of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.In vivo osteochondral defects and micro-CT experiment revealed that bilayer scaffolds showed complete closure of the defect.Histology confirmed collagen and glycosaminoglycans were deposited in the new matrix of hyaline cartilage and bone in the bilayer scaffold group.Therefore,the developed bionic bilayer scaffold enhanced the regeneration of hyaline cartilage through subchondral bone formation and lateral host-tissue integration.In conclusion,this bilayer scaffold based on HLC could be used as the desired strategy for osteochondral defects regeneration. | LIU KaiQiang LIU YanNan DUAN ZhiGuang MA XiaoXuan FAN DaiDi | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,4: | 4 |
| 5 | In-situ transient photovoltage study on interface electron transfer regulation of carbon dots/NiCo_(2)O_(4) photocatalyst for the enhanced overall water splitting activity显示文摘Photocatalytic hydrogen production by overall water solar-splitting is a prospective strategy to solve energy crisis.However,the rapid recombination of photogenerated electron–hole pairs deeply restricts photocatalytic activity of catalysts.Here,the in-situ transient photovoltage(TPV)technique was developed to investigate the interfacial photogenerated carrier extraction,photogenerated carrier recombination and the interfacial electron delivery kinetics of the photocatalyst.The carbon dots/NiCo_(2)O_(4)(CDs/NiCo_(2)O_(4))composite shows weakened recombination rate of photogenerated carriers due to charge storage of CDs,which enhances the photocatalytic water decomposition activity without any scavenger.CDs can accelerate the interface electron extraction about 0.09 ms,while the maximum electron storage time by CDs is up to 0.7 ms.The optimal CDs/NiCo_(2)O_(4)composite(5 wt.%CDs)displays the hydrogen production of 62µmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1) and oxygen production of 29µmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1) at normal atmosphere,which is about 4 times greater than that of pristine NiCo_(2)O_(4).This work provides sufficient evidence on the charge storage of CDs and the interfacial charge kinetics of photocatalysts on the basis of in-situ TPV tests. | Haodong Nie Yan Liu Yi Li Kaiqiang Wei Zhenyu Wu Hong Shi Hui Huang Yang Liu Mingwang Shao Zhenhui Kang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 2 |
| 6 | Synthesis and gelation behaviors of five new dimeric cholesteryl derivatives显示文摘Five new diacid amides of di-cholesteryl L-glycinates were designed and prepared.The compounds with linkers containing 0,1, 2,3,or 4 methylene units are denoted as 1,2,3,4,and 5,respectively.Their gelation behaviors in 25 solvents were tested as novel low-molecular-mass organic gelators(LMOGs).It was shown that the length of the linker connecting the two-cholesteryl residues in a gelator plays a crucial role in the gelation behavior of the compound.1 gels 11 of the 25 solvents tested at a concentration lower than 1.0%,while 2 gels 17 of the solvents tested.4 and 5,however,gel only 2 and 4 of them,respectively. SEM observation reveals that the lengths of the linkers and the identity of the solvents are the main factors affecting the structures of the aggregates in the gels.Experimentally,a clear linker effect on the microstructures of the gels was observed.As example,the aggregates of 1,2 and 3 in benzene or 1-heptanol adopt structures of thin fibers,rods or lamellas,respectively. | 9 | Effects of Soil Testing and Formulated Fertilization on Yield and Economic Benefit of Major Crops in Burundi显示文摘[Objectives]The purpose of this study was to provide technical support for high-yield cultivation of major crops in Burundi,thereby increasing local farmers'income and promoting sustainable development of agriculture in Burundi.[Methods]In the IMBO and MOSO test stations of the Burundi Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Burundi Fruit and Vegetable Extension and Service Center,soil testing and formulated fertilization test and demonstration was carried out in rice,maize and cabbage.The test set up three treatments,soil testing and formulated fertilization(STFF),local routine fertilization(RF)and non-fertilization(CK)to investigate the effects of soil testing and formulated fertilization on the yield and economic benefit of the crops.[Results]In the plot test,the yield and net economic benefit of rice,maize and cabbage were both highest in the STFF treatment.Compared with those in the RF treatment,the yield of rice,maize and cabbage increased by 19.0%,25.7%and 33.0%,respectively,and the net economic benefit increased by 4292,2837 and 8232 yuan/ha,respectively.In the field test,the yield and net economic benefit of rice,maize and cabbage were also both highest in the STFF treatment.The yield increased by 18.1%,24.3%and 25.9%,respectively,and the net economic benefit increased by 4142,2881 and 8665 yuan/ha,respectively compared with those in the RF treatment.[Conclusions]Soil testing and formulated fertilization not only increased rice,maize and cabbage yield per unit area,but also increased farmers'income in Burundi.It is one of the important technical measures to promote the increase of agricultural production and income in Burundi. | Kaiqiang LIU Yuyi HUANG Yanfei HUANG Guifen CHEN Guoqing GAO | 2020 | Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,3: | 1 |
| 10 | Preparation of a scorpion-shaped di-NBD derivative of cholesterol and its thixotropic property显示文摘A scorpion-shaped di-NBD(4-substituted-7-nitrobenzoxadiazole) derivative of cholesterol(Chol-2NBD) was designed and synthesized. The gelation behaviors of the compound in a series of single and mixed liquids were tested. It was shown that the compound is an effective gelator for mixture liquids of THF and benzene at room temperature. Furthermore, FT-IR and temperature-/concentration-dependent 1H NMR spectroscopy studies revealed that hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking among the molecules of Chol-2NBD are two main driving forces for the physical gelation of the mixture liquids. Interestingly, as observed in the gelation test and confirmed by rheological studies, the Chol-2NBD-THF/benzene gel systems, at least the one with 2:8 of the volume ratio of THF to benzene, are mechanically stable, but very sensitive to the stimulus of shear stress, which means that the gel changes into a liquid upon shaking. More interestingly, the liquid returns to gel instantly once the shear stress is removed. This phase transition process could be repeated for many times at room temperature. In addition, primary tests demonstrated that the fluorescence emission of Chol-2NBD is significantly quenched by the presence of water, ammonia water, or ammonia gas, but the emission recovers after evaporation of them. | 13 | Ample dietary fat reduced the risk of primary vesical calculi by inducing macrophages to engulf budding crystals in mice显示文摘Although primary vesical calculi is an ancient disease,the mechanism of calculi formation remains unclear.In this study,we established a novel primary vesical calculi model with D,L-choline tartrate in mice.Compared with commonly used melamine and ethylene glycol models,our model was the only approach that induced vesical calculi without causing kidney injury.Previous studies suggest that proteins in the daily diet are the main contributors to the prevention of vesical calculi,yet the effect of fat is overlooked.To assay the relationship of dietary fat with the formation of primary vesical calculi,D,L-choline tartrate-treated mice were fed a high-fat,low-fat,or normal-fat diet.Genetic changes in the mouse bladder were detected with transcriptome analysis.A high-fat diet remarkably reduced the morbidity of primary vesical calculi.Higher fatty acid levels in serum and urine were observed in the high-fat diet group,and more intact epithelia in bladder were observed in the same group compared with the normal-and low-fat diet groups,suggesting the protective effect of fatty acids on bladder epithelia to maintain its normal histological structure.Transcriptome analysis revealed that the macrophage differentiation-related gene C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 14(Cxcl14)was upregulated in the bladders of high-fat diet-fed mice compared with those of normal-or low-fat diet-fed mice,which was consistent with histological observations.The expression of CXCL14 significantly increased in the bladder in the high-fat diet group.CXCL14 enhanced the recruitment of macrophages to the crystal nucleus and induced the transformation of M2 macrophages,which led to phagocytosis of budding crystals and prevented accumulation of calculi.In human bladder epithelia(HCV-29)cells,high fatty acid supplementation significantly increased the expression of CXCL14.Dietary fat is essential for the maintenance of physiological functions of the bladder and for the prevention of primary vesical calculi,which provides new ideas for the reduction of morbidity of primary vesical calculi. | Huiling Chen Kaiqiang Hu Yaru Liang Yuqi Gao Chenye Zeng Kang Xu Xiaojin Shi Liyuan Li Yuemiao Yin Yi Qiao Ying Qiu Qingfei Liu Zhao Wang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 1 |
