| 6 | Early Paleozoic granitic magmatism related to the processes from subduction to collision in South Altyn, NW China显示文摘Four episodes of granitic rocks at 517, 501–496, 462–451, and 426–385 Ma occurred in the South Altyn subduction-collision complex. The first episode of granite emplacement predates the formation of the ophiolite type mafic rock(?500 Ma), and the three subsequent episodes can be temporally correlated to high-pressure(HP) to ultrahigh-pressure(UHP) metamorphism at ca. 500 Ma, retrograde granulite-facies metamorphism at ca. 450 Ma, and amphibolite-facies metamorphism at ca. 420 Ma, respectively. A comprehensive study of these granitic rocks, along with the regional geological background, mafic-ultramafic rocks, and HP-UHP metamorphism, indicates that the four episodes of granitic magmatism are sequentially derived from the partial melting of the earlier subducted oceanic crust at 517 Ma, the thickened continental crust due to continental subduction at ca. 500 Ma, the mid-upper crust in response to slab breakoff at ca. 450 Ma, and the tectonic transition from contraction to extension at ca. 420 Ma. The formation age of 517 Ma for oceanic adakite provides a direct constraint on the time of the oceanic subduction in South Altyn. In addition, there is a ca. 10 Myr interval between the oceanic subduction to the continental deep subduction, suggesting that the Early Paleozoic tectonic evolution might have been a successive process in South Altyn. | 8 | Geochemistry and Zircon U-Pb Dating of Changshagou Adakite from the South Altyn UHPM Terrane: Evidence of the Partial Melting of the Lower Crust显示文摘Changshagou adakite, an outcrop in the middle segment of the South Altyn Tagh ultra-high pressure metamorphism(UHPM) terrane, contains medium-K cal-alkaline and weakly peraluminous compositions(Si O2 = 66.79% to 68.65%, Al2O3 = 17.48% to 18.31%, K2 O + Na2 O = 6.32% to 6.88%, K2O/Na2 O = 0.25 to 0.33, A/CNK = 1.01 to 1.06). This outcrop is also enriched with large ion lithophile elements but with depleted high-field strength elements(HFSE) showing clearly negative Nb, Ta, and Ti anomalies. REE distribution patterns show a positive anomaly of Eu(δEu = 1.15 to 1.31) and weakly enriched with LREE compared with HREE(LREE/HREE = 1.02 to 4.20). Experimental results and several characteristics, including relatively low Nb/Ta ratios(6.03 to 8.45) and high Sr, Sr/Y,(La/Yb)N and low Y and Yb, which indicate the presence of residual garnet and the absence of plagioclase in the source region, show that adakite may form at a pressure ranging from 1.2 GPa to 1.5 GPa and at a temperature of approximately 900°C. Low Cr, Ni, and Mg# values, trace element patterns, and Si O2–Mg# and Si O2–Mg O diagrams indicate that rocks are formed by the partial melting of a thickened lower continental crust. LA-ICP-MS in situ U-Pb dating yields two group ages: 503.1 ± 1.7 Ma(core) and 453.1 ± 3.0 Ma(rim). The Th/U ratios of the core and the rim are 0.11 to 0.40 and 0.03 to 0.07, respectively. | 9 | Experimental study of an anti-icing method over an airfoil based on pulsed dielectric barrier discharge plasma显示文摘Aircraft icing has long been a plague to aviation for its serious threat to flight safety. Even though lots of methods for anti-icing have been in use or studied for quite a long time, new methods are still in great demand for both civil and military aircraft. The current study in this paper uses widely used Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD) plasma actuation to anti-ice on a NACA0012 airfoil model with a chord length of 53.5 cm in a closed-circuit icing wind tunnel. An actuator was installed at the leading edge of the airfoil model, and actuated by a pulsed low-temperature plasma power source. The actuator has two types of layout, a striped electrode layout and a meshy electrode layout.The ice accretion process or anti-icing process was recorded by a CCD camera and an infrared camera. Instantaneous pictures and infrared contours show that both types of DBD plasma actuators have the ability for anti-ice under a freestream velocity of 90 m/s, a static temperature of -7℃,an Median Volume droplet Diameter(MVD) of 20 lm, and an Liquid Water Content(LWC) of 0.5 g/m^3. The detected variations of temperatures with time at specific locations reveal that the temperatures oscillate for some time after spraying at first, and then tend to be nearly constant values.This shows that the key point of the anti-icing mechanism with DBD plasma actuation is to achieve a thermal equilibrium on the model surface. Besides, the power consumption in the anti-icing process was estimated in this paper by Lissajous figures measured by an oscilloscope, and it is lower than those of existing anti-icing methods. | 10 | Measurement of residual stress in a multi-layer semiconductor heterostructure by micro-Raman spectroscopy显示文摘Si-based multilayer structures are widely used in current microelectronics. During their preparation, some inhomogeneous residual stress is induced, resulting in competition between interface mismatching and surface energy and even leading to structure failure. This work presents a methodological study on the measurement of residual stress in a multi-layer semiconductor heterostructure. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), micro-Raman spectroscopy(MRS), and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) were applied to measure the geometric parameters of the multilayer structure. The relationship between the Raman spectrum and the stress/strain on the [100] and [110] crystal orientations was determined to enable surface and crosssection residual stress analyses, respectively. Our hypothesis is that such a distributionof cells in atherosclerotic plaque may depend on the angiogenesis. Silastic collars inducedregions of high shear stress (20.6865.27 dynes/cm2) in the upstream flow and low shear stress(12.2561.28 dynes/cm2) in the downstream flow in carotid arteries. Compared with the low shearstress region, plaques in the high shear stress region showed more intraplaque haemorrhaging,less collagen and higher apoptotic rates of vascular smooth muscle cells;endothelial cells (ECs) inthe high shear stress region were characterized with integrity and high endothelial nitric oxidesynthase (eNOS) expression (1570.36345.5% vs 172.9649.9%). The number of intraplaque microvesselsis very high in the high shear stress region (1561.8 n/mm2 vs 3.560.4 n/mm2), and themicrovessels in the plaque show ECs were abnormal, with membrane blebs, intracytoplasmic vacuolesand leukocyte infiltration. | 17 | Degradation of dyestuff wastewater using visible light in the presence of a novel nano TiO_2 catalyst doped with upconversion luminescence agent显示文摘A new upconversion luminescence agent, 40CdF2·60BaF2·0.8Er2O3, was synthesized and its fluorescent spectra were determined. This upconversion luminescence agent can emit five upconversion fluorescent peaks shown in the fluorescent spectra whose wavelengths are all below 387 nm under the excitation of 488 nm visible light. This upconversion luminescence agent was mixed into nano rutile TiO2 powder by ultrasonic and boiling dispersion and the novel doped nano TiO2 photocatalyst utilizing visible light was firstly prepared. The doped TiO2 powder was charactered by XRD and TEM and its photocatalytic activity was tested through the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange as a model compound under the visible light irradiation emitted by six three basic color lamps. In order to compare the photocatalytic activities, the same experiment was carried out for undoped TiO2 powder. The degradation ratio of methyl orange in the presence of doped nano TiO2 powder reached 32.5% under visible light irradiation at 20 h which was obviously higher than the corresponding 1.64% in the presence of undoped nano TiO2 powder, which indicate the upconversion luminescence agent prepared as dopant can effectively turn visible lights to ultraviolet lights that are absorbed by nano TiO2 particles to produce the electron-cavity pairs. | 20 | Prioritizing natural-selection signals from the deep-sequencing genomic data suggests multi-variant adaptation in Tibetan highlanders显示文摘Human genetic adaptation to high altitudes(>2500 m)has been extensively studied over the last few years,but few functional adaptive genetic variants have been identified,largely owing to the lack of deep-genome sequencing data available to previous studies.Here,w e build a list of putative adaptive variants,including 63 missense,7 loss-of-function;1,298 evolutionarily conserved variants and 509 expression quantitative traits loci.Notably,the top signal of selection is located in TMEM 247,a transmembrane protein-coding gene.The Tibetan version of TMEM 247 harbors one high-frequency(76.3%)missense variant,rsl 16983452(c.248C>T;p.Ala83Val);with the T allele derived from archaic ancestry and carried by>94%of Tibetans but absent or in low frequencies(<3%)in non-Tibetan populations.The rsl 16983452-T is strongly and positively correlated with altitude and significantly associated with reduced hemoglobin concentration(p=5.78×10^-5),red blood cell count(p=5.72×10^-7)and hematocrit(p=2.57×10^-6).In particular,TMEM247-rs 116983452 shows greater effect size and better predicts the phenotypic outcome than any E P A S1 variants in association with adaptive traits in Tibetans.Modeling the interaction between TM£M247-rsl 16983452 and EPAS1 variants indicates weak but statistically significant epistatic effects.Our results support that multiple variants may jointly deliver the fitness of the Tibetans on the plateau,where a complex model is needed to elucidate the adaptive evolution mechanism. | Lian Deng Chao Zhang Kai Yuan Yang Gao Yuwen Pan Xueling Ge Yaoxi He Yuan Yuan Yan Lu Xiaoxi Zhang Hao Chen Haiyi Lou Xiaoji Wang Dongsheng Lu Jiaojiao Liu Lei Tian Qidi Feng Asifullah Khan Yajun Yang Zi-Bing Jin Jian Yang Fan Lu Jia Qu Longli Kang Bing Su Shuhua Xu | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,6: | 9 |
