1Chronic Hepatitis B Infection with Low Level Viremia Correlates with the Progression of the Liver Disease显示文摘Background and Aims:Currently,insufficient clinical data are available to address whether low-level viremia(LLV)observed during antiviral treatment will adversely affect the clinical outcome or whether treatment strategies should be altered if LLV occurs.This study compared the clinical out-comes of patients with a maintained virological response(MVR)and patients who experienced LLV and their treatment strategies.Methods:A retrospective cohort of 674 patients with chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection who received antiviral treatment for more than 12 months was analyzed for the development of end-stage liver disease and treatment strategies during the follow-up period.End-stage liver disease included decompensated liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Results:During a median 42-month follow-up,end-stage liver disease developed more frequently in patients who experienced LLV than in those who experienced MVR(7.73%and 15.85%vs.0.77%and 5.52%at 5 and 10 years,respectively;p=0.000).The trend was consistent after propensity score matching.In the high-risk group of four HCC risk models,LLV patients had a higher risk of HCC development(p<0.05).By Cox proportional hazard model analysis,LLV was an independent risk factor for end-stage liver disease and HCC(hazard ratio[HR]=6.280,confidence interval[CI]=2.081-18.951,p=0.001;HR=5.108,CI=1.392-18.737,respectively;p=0.014).Patients achieved a lower rate of end-stage liver disease by adjusting treatment compared to continuing the original treatment once LLV occurred(p<0.05).Conclusions:LLV is an independent risk factor for end-stage liver disease and HCC,and treatment adjustments can be considered.Qian Zhang Hong Peng Xiaoqing Liu Huimin Wang Jinjie Du Xinhua Luo Hong Ren Peng Hu 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6:25
2Exosomes: roles and therapeutic potential in osteoarthritis显示文摘Exosomes participate in many physiological and pathological processes by regulating cell–cell communication, which are involved in numerous diseases, including osteoarthritis(OA). Exosomes are detectable in the human articular cavity and were observed to change with OA progression. Several joint cells, including chondrocytes, synovial fibroblasts, osteoblasts, and tenocytes, can produce and secrete exosomes that influence the biological effects of targeted cells. 3Risk factors of intra-abdominal bacterial infection after liver transplantation in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To explore the risk factors of intra-abdominal bacterial infection(IAI) after liver transplantation(LT) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Methods: A series of 82 HCC patients who received LT surgeries in our department between March 2004 and April 2010 was recruited in this study. Then we collected and analyzed the clinical data retrospectively. Statistical analysis system(SPSS) software was adopted to perform statistical analysis. Chi-square test, t-test and Wilcoxon rank sum test were used to analyze the clinical data and compute the significance of the incidences of early-stage IAI after LT for HCC patients. Binary logistic regression was performed to screen out the risk factors, and multiple logistic regression analyses were performed to compute the independent risk factors. Results: A series of 13 patients(13/82, 15.9%) had postoperative IAI. The independent risk factors of postoperative intra-abdominal bacterial infections after LT for HCC patients were preoperative anemia [Hemoglobin(HGB) <90 g/L] and postoperative abdominal hemorrhage(72 hours >400 mL), with the odds ratios at 8.121(95% CI, 1.417 to 46.550, P=0.019) and 5.911(95% CI, 1.112 to 31.432, P=0.037). Conclusions: Postoperative IAI after LT in patients with HCC was a common complication. 4“Wrapping the gastroduodenal artery stump” during pancreatoduodenectomy reduced the stump hemorrhage incidence after operation显示文摘Objective: After pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD), the postoperative gastroduodenal artery stump(GDAS) hemorrhage is one of the most serious complications. The purpose of this study is to determine whether wrapping the GDAS during PD could decrease the postoperative GDAS hemorrhage incidence.Methods: A retrospective review involving 280 patients who underwent PD from 2005 to 2012 was performed. Wrapping the GDAS during PD was defined as 'Wrapping the GDAS using the teres hepatis ligamentum during PD'. A total of 140 patients accepted the 'wrapping' procedure(wrapping group). The other 140 patients didn't apply the procedure(non-wrapping group). Age, sex, preoperative data, estimated intraoperative blood loss, postoperative complications, pathologic parameters and hospitalization time were compared between two groups.Results: There were no significant differences in patient characteristics between two groups. After wrapping, the incidence of postoperative GDAS bleeding decreased significantly(1/140 vs. 9/140, P=0.01). The rates of the other complications(such as intra-abdominal infection pancreatic fistula, billiary fistula, gastrointestinal bleeding, et al.) showed no significant differences. Conclusions: Wrapping the GDAS during PD significantly reduced the postoperative GDAS hemorrhage incidence. 5Comparing salinities of 0, 10 and 20 in biofloc genetically improved farmed tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) production systems显示文摘A 150 days(150-d)experiment was carried out to investigate the production efficiency,inorganic nitrogen syndrome and bacteria community of indoor biofloc technology(BFT)systems used to rear genetically improved farmed tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus)under 0(S-0),10(S-10),and 20 salinities(S20).The start-up period for BFT was 50,60 and 80 d for S-0,S-10 and S-20 groups,respectively.At steady state,the total ammonium nitrogen(NH4þ-N)and nitrite nitrogen(NO2-N)were lower than 3.0 mg/L and 0.34 mg/L,respectively and no nitrate-nitrogen(NO3-N)accumulation was observed.The fish survival rate was above 95%for all the groups.The final fish biomass of the S-10 group(35.83±1.08 kg/m^(3))was not significantly different from the S-0(34.79±1.33 kg/m^(3))group but was significantly higher than S-20(32.6±1.04 kg/m3).The feed conversion ratio for the tilapia in S-20 was 1.46,which was higher than the ratio in S-0(1.40)and S-10(1.39)tilapia.There was no significant difference in the crude protein content of the back muscle from tilapia of the three experimental groups.No significant difference in blood parameters,except for aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase was observed between the three groups.Evaluation of microorganisms in the three BFT systems revealed that Proteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,and Fusobacteria were the top three at the phylum level in all groups.However,a significant difference was observed at the genus level in the bacteria of the three BFTs at different salinity(P<0.05).©2017 Published by Elsevier B.V.on behalf of Shanghai Ocean University.This is an open access article。Guozhi Luo Wenqing Li Hongxin Tan Xiaoqing Chen 2017Aquaculture and Fisheries2017,2,5:5

Inertlubricant perfluoropolyether (PFPE) on magnetic hard disk in computer is still prone to catalyticdecomposition by Al2O3, which is one of the materials in slider. A partial fluorinated hexaphenoxycyclotriphosphazene chemical, X-1 P, was analyzed to research on its function to reduce the cata-lytic decomposition of lubricant. The surface free energy of X-1 P coated on head surface was alsoinvestigated. Contact start-stop (CSS) tester was employed to investigate the reflow effective ofX-1 P on lubricant PFPE. 9The discovery of surface runoff in the megadunes of Badain Jaran Desert,China,and its significance显示文摘The Badain Jaran Desert exhibits the greatest difference in altitude of all of the world's deserts.On the slopes of megadunes in the desert,there are physical and chemical deposits produced by surface runoff.In addition,we have observed rarely-seen infiltration-excess surface runoff in the megadune depressions as well as spring streams at the base of megadunes.We used electron microscopy,energy spectrum analysis,infiltration experiments,moisture content determinations and grain-size analysis to study the mineral and chemical composition of the runoff precipitates,and grain-size of the deposits associated with the runoff,together with the hydrological balance in the megadune area,and the atmospheric precipitation mechanism responsible for groundwater recharge and for supplying water to lakes.The observations of shallow runoff and infiltration-excess surface runoff indicate the occurrence of strong and effective precipitation in summer,which would provide an important source for groundwater recharge.Several lines of evidence,such as the physical and chemical deposits resulting from shallow subsurface runoff,spring streams,infiltration-excess runoff,and gravity capillary water with a moisture content of 3-6%,demonstrate that precipitation reaches the base of the megadunes through infiltration and subsequently becomes groundwater.The chemical deposits,such as newly-formed calcite and gypsum,and gray-black physical deposits,as well as different stages in the development of fan-shaped landforms resulting from shallow subsurface runoff,indicate that groundwater recharge in the area is the result of long-term precipitation,rather than intermittent individual major rainfall events.Fine sand layers with a low infiltration capacity lead to subsurface runoff emerging at the ground surface.Five factors play an important role in maintaining a positive water balance and in replenishing groundwater via rainfall:effective rainfall as a water source,the high infiltration capacity of the sands enabling rainfall to rapidly become capillary water in the dunes,low evapotranspiration rates due to the sparse vegetation,the fact that the depth of the sand layer influenced by evaporation is shallow enough to maximize the deep infiltration of rainfall,and rapidly-moving gravity capillary water in the sandy dunes.These five factors together constitute a mechanism for groundwater recharge from rainfall,and explain the origin of the groundwater and lakes in the area.Our findings represent a significant advance in research on the hydrological cycle,including groundwater recharge conditions and recharge mechanisms,in this desert region.ZHAO JingBo MA YanDong LUO XiaoQing YUE DaPeng SHAO TianJie DONG ZhiBao 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,4:3
10Ultralow friction polymer composites incorporated with mono-dispersed oil microcapsules显示文摘Ultralow friction polymer composites were prepared by adding oil-loaded microcapsules into epoxy(EP)resin.Mono-dispersed polystyrene(PS)/poly alpha olefin(PAO)microcapsules with a diameter of~2μm and a shell thickness of~30 nm were prepared by solvent evaporation method in an oil-in-water emulsion.The lubrication behaviors of the EP resin composites with oil-loaded microcapsules have been investigated under different loads and sliding speeds.As compared with the pure EP resin,the friction coefficient of the composite could be reduced to 4%(from 0.71 to 0.028)and the wear rate could be decreased up to two orders of magnitude.It was demonstrated that the released PAO oil from the microcapsules during the friction process produced a boundary lubricating film,which could prevent the direct contact of two rubbing surfaces,and thus leading to an extremely low friction coefficient and wear rate.Moreover,the composites with microcapsules could achieve comparable lubrication properties to the case under the external lubrication condition,while the former case could effectively minimize the lubricant leakage and improve the lubrication efficiency.Lin ZHANG Guoxin XIE Shuai WU Shiguang PENG Xiaoqing ZHANG Dan GUO Shizhu WEN Jianbin LUO 2021Friction2021,9,1:3
11Stabilizing Mechanism and Running Behavior of Couplers on Heavy Haul Trains显示文摘Published studies in regard to coupler systems have been mainly focused on the manufacturing process or coupler strength issues. With the ever increasing of tonnage and length of heavy haul trains, lateral in-train forces generated by longitudinal in-train forces and coupler rotations have become a more and more significant safety issue for heavy haul train operations. Derailments caused by excessive lateral in-train forces are frequently reported. This article studies two typical coupler systems used on heavy haul locomotives. Their structures and stabilizing mechanism are analyzed before the corresponding models are developed. Coupler systems models are featured by two distinct stabilizing mechanism models and draft gear models with hysteresis considered. A model set which consists of four locomotives and three coupler systems is developed to study the rotational behavior of different coupler systems and their implications for locomotive dynamics. Simulated results indicate that when the locomotives are equipped with the type B coupler system, locomotives can meet the dynamics standard on tangent tracks; while the dynamics performance on curved tracks is very poor. The maximum longitudinal in-train force for locomotives equipped with the type B coupler system is 2000 kN. Simulations revealed a distinct trend for the type A coupler system. Locomotive dynamics are poorer for the type A case when locomotives are running on tangent tracks, while the dynamics are better for the type A case when locomotives are running on curved tracks. 12Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis misdiagnosed as gallbladder carcinoma: retrospective analysis of 10 cases显示文摘Objective: To investigate the reasons for misdiagnosing xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis (XGC) as gallbladder carcinoma, and to provide differential points between these two diseases. Methods: Thirty-three patients with the final diag- nosis of XGC in our hospital over a period of 10 years (1996–2005) were reviewed, among which 10 (6 males and 4 females) were misdiagnosed as having gallbladder carcinoma either preoperatively or intraoperatively. Results: 10 misdiagnosed cases were examined preoperatively by B-ultrasound (BUS) and computed tomography (CT). BUS and CT revealed 5 cases of gallbladder carcinoma and 1 of chronic cholecystitis; 2 cases were diagnosed as gallbladder carcinoma on BUS but chronic cholecystitis on CT; other 2 cases were diagnosed as chronic cholecystitis on BUS but as gallbladder carcinoma on CT. Intra- operatively, thickening of the gallbladder wall was found in all of the patients; xanthogranulomatous tissue was found invading into other tissues including gallbladder bed and omentum majus. Intraoperative frozen section investigation was performed on 1 patient revealing that no tumor cell was found. Open cholecystectomy + partial hepatic wedge resection were performed on 3 patients; cholecystectomy + partial hepatic wedge resection + regional lymphadenectomy in the liver duodenum ligament on 6 patients; cholecystectomy + cholecystoenterostomy + colocolic anastomosis after partial resection of transverse colon on 1 patient. Postoperative pathological findings revealed XGC in all these patients. Conclusion: XGC is an uncommon variant of chronic cholecystitis of which clinical and imaging presentations closely resemble gallbladder carcinoma. 14Preliminary analysis of teleseismic receiver functions of the Ningxia and its adjacent area显示文摘The teleseismic receiver functions of digital seismic network of Ningxia and its adjacent area are calculated with two different Gauss filter factors.The accuracy and stability of the receiver functions are discussed.The h-k stacking method is applied to estimate the crustal thickness and velocity ratio beneath seismic stations.The results indicate that there are sharp changes of crustal thickness and velocity ratio in the studied region.This region is located in the northeastern margin of Tibet,and also a junction of several first-grade blocks.The large contrast of crustal structure in this region is considered to be resulted from the interaction of these blocks.Our results are helpful to construct the completed model of the formation and evolution of the Tibet.Some local structures are also discussed combining with the geological faults.Xiaoqing Xu Xuzhang Shen Chang Ming Guofu Luo Yao Lin 2012Earthquake Science2012,25,1:2

17Simultaneous adsorption of As(Ⅲ) and Pb(Ⅱ) by the iron-sulfur codoped biochar composite:Competitive and synergistic effects显示文摘Simultaneous elimination of As(Ⅲ) and Pb(Ⅱ) from wastewater is still a great challenge.In this work,an iron-sulfur codoped biochar (Fe/S-BC) was successfully fabricated in a simplified way and was applied to the remediate the co-pollution of As(Ⅲ) and Pb(Ⅱ).The positive enthalpy indicated that the adsorption in As-Pb co-pollution was an endothermic reaction.The mechanism of As(Ⅲ) removal could be illustrated by surface complexation,oxidation and precipitation.In addition to precipitation and complexation,the elimination mechanism of Pb(Ⅱ) also contained ion exchange and electrostatic interactions.Competitive and synergistic effects existed simultaneously in the co-contamination system.The suppression of As(Ⅲ) was ascribed to competitive complexation of the two metals on Fe/S-BC,while the synergy of Pb(Ⅱ) was attributed to the formation of the PbFe2(AsO_(4))2(OH)2.Batch experiments revealed that Fe/S-BC had outstanding ability to remove As(Ⅲ) and Pb(Ⅱ),regardless of pH dependency and interference by various coexisting ions.The maximum adsorption capacities of the Fe/S-BC for As(Ⅲ) and Pb(Ⅱ) were 91.2 mg/g and 631.7 mg/g,respectively.Fe/S-BC could be treated as a novel candidate for the elimination of As(Ⅲ)-Pb(Ⅱ) combined pollution.Yijun Chen Qintie Lin Xiaoqing Wen Jin He Haoyu Luo Quanfa Zhong Libin Wu Jiaqi Li 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3:1

20A multi-location joint field observation of the stratosphere and troposphere over the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The unique geographical location and high altitude of the Tibetan Plateau can greatly influence regional weather and climate.In particular, the Asian summer monsoon(ASM) anticyclone circulation system over the Tibetan Plateau is recognized to be a significant transport pathway for water vapor and pollutants to enter the stratosphere. To improve understanding of these physical processes, a multi-location joint atmospheric experiment was performed over the Tibetan Plateau from late July to August in 2018, funded by the fiveyear(2018–2022) STEAM(stratosphere and troposphere exchange experiment during ASM) project, during which multiple platforms/instruments—including long-duration stratospheric balloons, dropsondes, unmanned aerial vehicles, special sounding systems, and ground-based and satellite-borne instruments—will be deployed.
