1Detection of hepatitis C virus NS5 protein and genome in Chinese carcinoma of the extrahepatic bile duct and its significance显示文摘AIM To investigate the hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection in the tissues of carcinoma ofextrahepatic bile duct and study theircorrelation.METHODS HCV NS5 protein and HCV RNA weredetected by labeled streptavidin biotin(LSAB)method and in situ reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(IS-RT-PCR)insections of 51 cases of carcinoma ofextrahepatic bile duct and 34 cases of controlgroup(without malignant biliary disease).RESULTS In 51 cases of carcinoma ofextrahepatic bile duct,HCV NS5 protein wasdetected in 14(27.5%),which was clearlystained in the cytoplasm of cancer cell but not inthe nucleus or cell membrane.HCV RNA wasdetected in 18(35.4%),which was located inthe nucleus of cancer cell in 12 cases and in thecytoplasm in 6 cases.HCV NS5 protein and RNAcoexistence was found in 2 cases.In 34 cases ofcontrol group,HCV RNA was detected in 2(5.9%).HCV NS5 protein and RNA positive cellswere found either scattered or in clusters.CONCLUSION The prevalence of hepatitis C viral infection in the tissues of carcinoma ofextrahepatic bile duct was significantly higherthan in control group(X^2=9.808,P=0.002).The findings suggest a correlation between HCVinfection and carcinoma of extrahepatic bileduct,which is different from the traditionalviewpoint.HCV infection might be involved inthe development of carcinoma of extrahepaticbile duct.Ming Yi Chen Zhi Qiang Huang Le Zhen Chen Ya Bing Gao Rui Yun Peng De Wen Wang 2000World Journal of Gastroenterology2000,6,6:19

5Cobalt and nitrogen codoped porous carbon as superior bifunctional electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline medium显示文摘Cobalt and nitrogen codoped carbon materials(Co-N-C) were fabricated by pyrolysis of the mixture of poly(4-vinylpyridine) and cobalt chloride using SiO_2 nanoparticles as hard template, which were the first transition metal/nitrogen-codoped carbon bifunctional electrocatalyst derived from noncarbonizable polymer for ORR and HER. The as-made Co-N-C possessed hierarchical pore structure and high specific surface area, achieving excellent electrocatalytic performances for ORR and HER. Its ORR catalytic performances were comparable to those of Pt/C catalyst and its HER catalytic performances were superior to those of most doped carbon catalysts in KOH electrolyte. 8GmPIN1-mediated auxin asymmetry regulates leaf petiole angle and plant architecture in soybean显示文摘Crop breeding during the Green Revolution resulted in high yields largely due to the creation of plants with semi-dwarf architectures that could tolerate high-density planting.Although semi-dwarf varieties have been developed in rice,wheat and maize,none was reported in soybean(Glycine max),and few genes controlling plant architecture have been characterized in soybean.Here,we demonstrate that the auxin efflux transporter PINFORMED1(GmPIN1),which determines polar auxin transport,regulates the leaf petiole angle in soybean.CRISPR-Cas9-induced Gmpin1abc and Gmpin1bc multiple mutants displayed a compact architecture with a smaller petiole angle than wildtype plants.GmPIN1 transcripts and auxin were distributed asymmetrically in the petiole base,with high levels of GmPIN1a/c transcript and auxin in the lower cells,which resulted in asymmetric cell expansion.By contrast,the(iso)flavonoid content was greater in the upper petiole cells than in the lower cells.Our results suggest that(iso)flavonoids inhibit GmPIN1a/c expression to regulate the petiole angle.Overall,our study demonstrates that a signal cascade that integrates(iso)flavonoid biosynthesis,GmPIN1a/c expression,auxin accumulation,and cell expansion in an asymmetric manner creates a desirable petiole curvature in soybean.This study provides a genetic resource for improving soybean plant architecture.Zhongqin Zhang Le Gao Meiyu Ke Zhen Gao Tianli Tu Laimei Huang Jiaomei Chen Yuefeng Guan Xi Huang Xu Chen 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7:1
9Study on instability fracture and simulation of surrounding rock induced by fault activation under mining influence显示文摘The fault is potentially vulnerability's geological structure in the working face and its vicinity,and it is also a crucial geological factor affecting coal mine safety exploitation.To investigate the unstable failure of surrounding rock induced by fault activation under the influence of adoption,which was studied utilizing field case and numerical analysis for the deformation and failure process of surrounding rock near the fault-affected zone.Combined with field cases,this paper analyzes disturbance stress and roof abscission layer monitoring in effecting zones of fault activation.Using the discrete element 3DEC numerical analysis method,the model of surrounding rock unstable fracture induced by fault activation under adoption is established.The unstable fracture and stress variation characteristics of surrounding rock induced by fault activation during the excavation of the upper side wall and lower side wall of the faults are simulated and analyzed.Field analysis shows that as the coal working face continues to advance,the mining stress gradually increases.There is a zigzag wave on the relationship curve between coal mining and roof displacement near the fault,which reveals that the surrounding rock of the fault activation affected zone is in the superposition state of static load and dynamic load.Furthermore,the simulation results show that the stress and displacement of surrounding rock near the fault increase with the advance of coal mining face.The closer to the fault plane,the displacement gradually returns to zero,and the stress is also in a lower state.Jie Chen Kaiwen Shi Yuanyuan Pu Derek B.Apel Chuanjiu Zhang Yujun Zuo Jiongkun Chen Le Xu Zhen Gui Longfei Song 2023Rock Mechanics Bulletin2023,2,2:1
