| 1 | Animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research:Current knowledge and optimal design--A position paper of the Committee on Cardiac Rehabilitation,Chinese Medical Doctors’Association显示文摘Growing evidence has demonstrated exercise as an effective way to promote cardiovascular health and protect against cardiovascular diseases However,the underlying mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise have yet to be elucidated.Animal exercise studies are widely used to investigate the key mechanisms of exercise-induced cardiovascular protection.However,standardized procedures and well-established evaluation indicators for animal exercise models are needed to guide researchers in carrying out effective,high-quality animal studies using exercise to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.In our review,we present the commonly used animal exercise models in cardiovascular research and propose a set of standard procedures for exercise training,emphasizing the appropriate measurements and analysis in these chronic exercise models.We also provide recommendations for optimal design of animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research,including the choice of exercise models,control of exercise protocols,exercise at different stages of disease,and other considerations,such as age,sex,and genetic background.We hope that this position paper will promote basic research on exercise-induced cardiovascular protection and pave the way for successful translation of exercise studies from bench to bedside in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. | Yihua Bei Lei Wang Rongjing Ding Lin Che Zhiqing Fan Wei Gao Qi Liang Shenghui Lin Suixin Liu Xiao Lu Yuqin Shen Guifu Wu Jian Yang Guolin Zhang Wei Zhao Lan Guo Junjie Xiao | 2021 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,6: | 2 |

| 6 | Achieving High‑Quality Aluminum to Copper Dissimilar Metals Joint via Friction Stir Double‑Riveting Welding显示文摘In order to achieve a high-quality joining of aluminum(Al)and copper(Cu)dissimilar metals,a new friction stir doubleriveting welding(FSDRW)with a Cu rod as the rivet was proposed,and the rotating tool with a large concave angle shoulder was specially designed.The results showed that under the thermal–mechanical effect of rotating tool,the Cu rod was deformed to be a double riveting heads structure with a Cu anchor at the upper surface of Al plate and an Al anchor above the lap interface of joint,and these two anchors greatly enhanced the mechanical interlocking of Al/Cu joint.The effective bonding interfaces were formed among the double riveting heads structure,the upper Al plate and the lower Cu plate,which contained the Cu/Cu interface and the Al/Cu interface.The Cu/Cu interface without the kissing bond and the Al/Cu interface with the rationally thin AlCu and Al_(2)Cu intermetallic compounds(IMCs)layers were beneficial to heightening the joint tensile shear strength.The maximum tensile shear load of the FSDRW joint achieved 5.52 kN,and the joint under different plunging depths of rotating tool presented a mixed mode of ductile fracture and brittle fracture.This novel FSDRW technique owns the advantages of strong mechanical interlocking and superb metallurgical bonding,and provides a new approach to acquiring a high-quality Al/Cu dissimilar metals joint. | Shude Ji Xiao Cui Lin Ma Hua Liu Yingying Zuo Zhiqing Zhang | 2023 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2023,36,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Intracellular HSP70L1 inhibits human dendritic cell maturation by promoting suppressive H3K27me3 and H2AK119Ub1 histone modifications显示文摘Epigenetic regulation has been attracting increasing attention due to its role in cell differentiation and behaviors.However,the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate human dendritic cell(DC)differentiation and development remain poorly understood.Our previous studies show that extracellular heat shock protein 70-like protein(HSP70L1)is a potent adjuvant of Th1 responses via stimulating DCs when released from cells;however,the role of intracellular HSP70L1 in DC differentiation and maturation remains unknown.Herein,we demonstrate that intracellular HSP70L1 inhibits human DC maturation by suppressing MHC and costimulatory molecule expression,in contrast to the adjuvant activity of extracellular HSP70L1.The stability of intracellular HSP70L1 is dependent on DNAJC2,a known epigenetic regulator.Mechanistically,intracellular HSP70L1 inhibits the recruitment of Ash1l to and maintains the repressive H3K27me3 and H2AK119Ub1 modifications on the promoter regions of costimulatory,MHC and STAT3 genes.Thus,intracellular HSP70L1 is an inhibitor of human DC maturation.Our results provide new insights into the epigenetic regulation of cell development by intracellular HSP70L1. | Lin Yi Zhiqing Li Tianju Hu Juan Liu Nan Li Xuetao Cao Shuxun Liu | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,1: | 1 |
| 13 | Scanning for Genomic Regions Subject to Selective Sweeps Using SNP-MaP Strategy显示文摘Population genomic approaches, which take advantages of high-throughput genotyping, are powerful yet costly methods to scan for selective sweeps. DNA-pooling strategies have been widely used for association studies because it is a cost-effective alternative to large-scale individual genotyping. Here, we performed an SNP-MaP (single nucleotide polymorphism microarrays and pooling) analysis using samples from Eurasia to evaluate the efficiency of pooling strategy in genome-wide scans for selection. By conducting simulations of allelotype data, we first demonstrated that the boxplot with average heterozygosity (HET) is a promising method to detect strong selective sweeps with a moderate level of pooling error. Based on this, we used a sliding window analysis of HET to detect the large contiguous regions (LCRs) putatively under selective sweeps from Eurasia datasets. This survey identified 63 LCRs in a European population. These signals were further supported by the integrated haplotype score (iHS) test using HapMap II data. We also confirmed the European-specific signatures of positive selection from several previously identified genes (KEL, TRPV5, TRPV6, EPHB6). | 14 | A study on chemical forms of heavy metals in the sediments of Zhujiang River and its estuary显示文摘The five chemical bound forms of Fe, Al and Mn in sediments in the main channel of the Zhujiang River.and its estuary, namely, exchangeable, carbonic, oxidative, organic and residual (in crystal) forms, were determined. The method of sequential extraction was used for separating the five bound forms.The main chemical form of the three elements in the sediments of the Zhujiang River and its estuarine zone is the residual one. The exchangeable form exists only in a small fraction.Correlationships between the concentration of a certain form of heavy metals and Eh. pH and salinity were discussed. | 15 | Versatile nanocomposite augments high-intensity focused ultrasound for high-efficacy sonodynamic therapy of glioma显示文摘High-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU),with inherent advantages of improved ultrasonic depth and low off-target damage,holds the promising capability for glioma treatment,but the relatively long therapeutic time and potential physical complications may hamper its clinical application.Herein,a bovine serum albumin(BSA)-based nanoplatform with in situ growth of MnO_(2) was synthesized,and Protoporphyrin IX(PpIX)was further anchored to obtain a versatile PpIX@MnO_(2)@BSA nanoplatform(denoted as BMP).By employing HIFU as the exogenous irradiation source,a high-efficacy sonodynamic therapy(SDT)is developed,in which the excited BMP enables the production of tumoricidal reactive oxygen species(ROS).The inherent tumor microenvironment(TME)-responsive property of MnO_(2) endows BMP with specific T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)by releasing Mn2+,and the simultaneously generated O_(2) facilitates hypoxia alleviation as well as ^(1)O_(2) generation.Compared with HIFU therapy alone,suppression of glioma growth and improved survival benefits are achieved through the designed TMEresponsive nanocomposite under HIFU exposure.The high-efficacy SDT strategy combining BMP and HIFU demonstrated favorable TME-responsive T1-weighted MRI,hypoxic environment alleviation,and anti-tumor capability,providing a perspective paradigm for MRI-guided glioma treatment. | Yingyan Zheng Dejun She Huihui Huang Lin Lin Sunhui Chen Yiping Lu Li Liu Zhiqing Pang Bo Yin | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,10: | 0 |

| 20 | Superior low cycle fatigue property from cell structures in additively manufactured 316L stainless steel显示文摘We have investigated the low cycle fatigue(LCF)properties and the extent of strengthening in a dense additively manufactured stainless steel containing different volume fractions of cell structures but having all other microstructure characteristics the same.The samples were produced by laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF),and the concentration of cell structures was varied systematically by varying the annealing treatments.Load-controlled fatigue experiments performed on samples with a high fraction of cell structures reveal an up to 23 times increase in fatigue life compared to an essentially cell-free sample of the same grain configuration.Multiscale electron microscopy characterizations reveal that the cell structures serve as the soft barriers to the dislocation propagation and the partials are the main carrier for cyclic loading.The cell structures,stabilized by the segregated atoms and misorientation between the adjacent cells,are retained during the entire plastic deformation,hence,can continuously interact with dislocations,promote the formation of nanotwins,and provide massive 3D network obstacles to the dislocation motion.The compositional micro-segregation caused by the cellular solidification features serves as another nonnegligible strengthening mechanism to dislocation motion.Specifically,the cell structures with a high density of dislocation debris also appear to act as dislocation nucleation sites,very much like coherent twin boundaries.This work indicates the potential of additive manufacturing to design energy absorbent alloys with high performance by tailoring the microstructure through the printing process. | Luqing Cui Dunyong Deng Fuqing Jiang Ru Lin Peng Tongzheng Xin Reza Taherzadeh Mousavian Zhiqing Yang Johan Moverare | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,16: | 0 |
