3Animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research:Current knowledge and optimal design--A position paper of the Committee on Cardiac Rehabilitation,Chinese Medical Doctors’Association显示文摘Growing evidence has demonstrated exercise as an effective way to promote cardiovascular health and protect against cardiovascular diseases However,the underlying mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise have yet to be elucidated.Animal exercise studies are widely used to investigate the key mechanisms of exercise-induced cardiovascular protection.However,standardized procedures and well-established evaluation indicators for animal exercise models are needed to guide researchers in carrying out effective,high-quality animal studies using exercise to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.In our review,we present the commonly used animal exercise models in cardiovascular research and propose a set of standard procedures for exercise training,emphasizing the appropriate measurements and analysis in these chronic exercise models.We also provide recommendations for optimal design of animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research,including the choice of exercise models,control of exercise protocols,exercise at different stages of disease,and other considerations,such as age,sex,and genetic background.We hope that this position paper will promote basic research on exercise-induced cardiovascular protection and pave the way for successful translation of exercise studies from bench to bedside in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.Yihua Bei Lei Wang Rongjing Ding Lin Che Zhiqing Fan Wei Gao Qi Liang Shenghui Lin Suixin Liu Xiao Lu Yuqin Shen Guifu Wu Jian Yang Guolin Zhang Wei Zhao Lan Guo Junjie Xiao 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,6:2
4Springtime Convective Quasi-Biweekly Oscillation and Interannual Variation of Its Intensity over the South China Sea and Western North Pacific显示文摘This study investigates characteristics of the convective quasi-biweekly oscillation(QBWO) over the South China Sea(SCS) and western North Pacific(WNP) in spring, and the interannual variation of its intensity. Convective QBWO over the WNP and SCS shows both similarities and differences. Convective QBWO over the WNP originates mainly from southeast of the Philippine Sea and propagates northwestward. In contrast, convective QBWO over the SCS can be traced mainly to east of the Philippines and features a westward propagation. Such a westward or northwestward propagation is probably related to n = 1 equatorial Rossby waves. During the evolution of convective QBWO over the WNP and SCS, the vertical motion and specific humidity exhibit a barotropic structure and the vertical relative vorticity shows a baroclinic structure in the troposphere. The dominant mode of interannual variation of convective QBWO intensity over the SCS–WNP region in spring is homogeneous. Its positive phase indicates enhanced convective QBWO intensity accompanied by local enhanced QBWO intensity of vertical motion throughout the troposphere as well as local enhanced(weakened) QBWO intensity of kinetic energy, vertical relative vorticity,and wind in the lower(upper) troposphere. The positive phase usually results from local increases of the background moisture and anomalous vertical shear of easterlies. The latter contributes to the relationship between the dominant mode and QBWO intensities of kinetic energy, vertical relative vorticity, and wind. 16Regular diet is non-inferior to restricted diet after polypectomy with decreased hospitalization length of stay and cost:a randomized–controlled trial显示文摘Background There are no data comparing a regular diet with a restricted diet after endoscopic polypectomy in patients with colorectal polyps.The current guidelines also did not provide the detailed information of dietary patterns after polypectomy.In this study,we aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of different diets on post-polypectomy outcomes.Methods A total of 302 patients with colorectal polyps who underwent polypectomy were prospectively enrolled between March 2019 and December 2019 in Nanfang Hospital(Guangzhou,China).Enrolled patients were then randomly assigned to a regular diet group or a restricted diet group after polypectomy.The study is a non-inferior design and the primary end point was the post-operative adverse events(AE)rate.Secondary end points included length of stay(LOS)and hospitalization cost.Results Among all the included patients,148 patients received a restricted diet and 154 patients received a regular diet after polypectomy.A total of 376 polyps were removed,with 183 polyps in the restricted diet group and 193 polyps in the regular diet group.Shorter LOS(4.0±1.4 vs 4.8±1.7,P<0.001)and lower hospitalization costs(7,701.63±2,579.07 vs 8,656.05±3,138.53,P=0.001)were observed in the regular diet group.In particular,there was no significant difference in 3-day AE rates between the restricted diet and the regular diet group(1.35%[2/148]vs 2.60%[4/154],P=0.685).Subgroup analysis looking at the number of polyps removed in each patient and different treatmentmodalities also showed similar findings.Conclusion Regular diet should be recommended after polypectomy for polyps<20mm as it can shorten LOS and save hospitalization costs.Rong Huang Shaohui Huang Li Xu Rai Mandip Baomei Chen Jiayi Fan Yang Bai Yusi Wang Zelong Han Zhiqing Wang Side Liu Yue Li 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
17Research on the evaluation and mechanism of socio-economic benefit of highway projects显示文摘Based on the theory of system dynamics,the paper analyzes the mechanism of socio-economic benefits of highway projects and establishes the system dynamics model of regional economic-highway development. Then taking Jinji(Tianjin—Jixian) Highway of Tianjin as an example,the errors of system simulation are tested,and the system dynamics model built is verified to be quite stable,which has a high performance. Through the comparison of simulation results with and without Jinji Highway,the paper simulates and predicts the socio-economic benefit of each year from 2003 to 2013. Then a self-organizing competitive neural network is built. At last,a case study is conducted by taking practicing qualification personnel as an example. 19New design for highly durable infrared-reflective coatings显示文摘The fundamental challenge in designing durable infrared-reflective coatings is achieving the ideal combination of both high reflectivity and durability.Satisfying these competing demands is traditionally achieved by deposition of durable layers on highly reflective metals.We overturn the traditional logic of‘first reflectivity and then durability’and propose an alternative of‘first durability and then reflectivity’:First,a transition-metal compound is selected as a durable base;then its reflectivity is improved by incorporating silver/gold to form an alloy or by overcoating a multilayer stack.Two validation experiments prove that the new strategy works extremely well:the coatings thus obtained have infrared reflectivities close to that of aluminum,and their hardness and acid and salt corrosion resistances are 27–50,400–1500 and 7500–25000 times that of aluminum.The traditional mirror coating(e.g.,Al/SiO2 films)is more suitable for moderate environments,while our mirror coating that was obtained by the new strategy(e.g.,an Ag-doped hafnium nitride film)is more suitable for harsh environments,such as ones with dust,windblown sand,moisture,acid rain or salt fog.This work opens up new opportunities for highly durable infrared-reflective coatings and rejuvenates the study of transition metal compounds in a completely new area of optics.Chaoquan Hu Jian Liu Jianbo Wang Zhiqing Gu Chao Li Qian Li Yuankai Li Sam Zhang Chaobin Bi Xiaofeng Fan Weitao Zheng 2017Light(Science & Applications)2017,6,1:0
