1Host cellular signaling induced by influenza virus显示文摘A wide range of host cellular signal transduction pathways can be stimulated by influenza virus infection. Some of these signal transduction pathways induce the host cell's innate immune response against influenza virus, while others are essential for efficient influenza virus replication. This review examines the cellular signaling induced by influenza virus infection in host cells, including host pattern recognition receptor (PRR)-related signaling, protein kinase C (PKC), Raf/MEK/ERK and phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt signaling, and the corresponding effects on the host cell and/or virus, such as recognition of virus by the host cell, viral absorption and entry, viral ribonucleoprotein (vRNP) export, translation control of cellular and viral proteins, and virus-induced cell apoptosis. 2Immune responses of a designed HIV-1 DNA vaccine on rhesus monkeys显示文摘An effective HIV-1 vaccine will be the ultimate solution for the prevention of HIV/AIDS, though HAART plays important roles in treating the disease. In this study, a large-scale recombinant DNA plasmid containing a designed HIV-1 multi-epitope- p24 chimeric gene was prepared and purified. Rhesus monkeys were then inoculated muscularly with the plasmid for four times in week 0, 4, 8 and 18. Whole blood was collected two weeks after the third and fourth inoculation, followed by serum and pe- ripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) separation. The CTL activity and proliferation of PBMCs stimu- lated by macaque MHC-I-restricted HIV-1 CTL epi- tope peptide were analyzed by MTT and LDH release assay, respectively. Th1 cytokines in supernatant of cultured PBMC stimulated by HIV-1 CTL epitope peptide and anti-HIV-1 antibody in serum were as- sayed by ELISA. The results showed that increased CTL target-killing activity, higher secretion of Th1 cytokines (IFN-γ and IL-2) and promoted proliferative reaction of monkey PBMCs stimulated by HIV-1 CTL epitope peptide were detected in the immunization group inoculated by the recombinant DNA vaccine for three times, which were further enhanced by the fourth inoculation. At the same time, HIV-1 specific antibody in serum of immunized monkeys was higher than that in controls. 5Construction and characterization of a recombinant fowlpox virus containing HIV-1 multi-epitope-p24 chimeric gene in mice显示文摘The epidemic of HIV/AIDS is sweeping across the world. It is of great importance to figure out new ways to curb this disease. Epitope-based vaccine is one of these solutions. In this study, a chimeric gene was obtained by combination of a designed HIV-1 multi-epitope gene (MEG) and HIV-1 p24 gene. A re- combinant plasmid pUTA2-MEGp24 was then constructed by inserting MEGp24 gene into the down- stream of the promoter (ATI-P7.5×20) of fowlpox virus (FPV) transfer vector pUTA2. The recombinant plasmid and wild-type FPV 282E4 strain were then co-transfected into CEF cells and homologous re- combination occurred. A recombinant virus expressing HIV-1 protein MEGp24 was screened by ge- nome PCR and Western blot assay. Large scale preparation and purification of the recombinant fowl- pox virus (rFPV) were then carried out. BALB/c mice were immunized intramuscularly with the rFPV for three times on day 0, 14 and 42. Mice were executed and sampled one week after the third inoculation. Anti-HIV-1 antibody in serum and Th1 cytokines in the supernatant of cultured spleen cells were as- sayed by ELISA. The count of T lymphocyte subsets and the CTL activity of spleen lymphocytes were analyzed by flow cytometry and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release assay, respectively. The results showed that HIV-1 specific antibody in serum and increased T lymphocyte subsets (CD4+ T, CD8+ T) were detected in the immunization group. CTL target-killing activity and higher secretion of Th1 cyto- kines (IFN-γ and IL-2) of spleen lymphocytes stimulated by H-2d-restricted CTL peptide were observed in immunized mice. 7RF characterization of InP double heterojunction bipolar transistors on a flexible substrate under bending conditions显示文摘This letter presents the fabrication of InP double heterojunction bipolar transistors(DHBTs)on a 3-inch flexible substrate with various thickness values of the benzocyclobutene(BCB)adhesive bonding layer,the corresponding thermal resistance of the InP DHBT on flexible substrate is also measured and calculated.InP DHBT on a flexible substrate with 100 nm BCB obtains cut-off frequency f_(T)=358 GHz and maximum oscillation frequency f_(MAX)=530 GHz.Moreover,the frequency performance of the InP DHBT on flexible substrates at different bending radii are compared.It is shown that the bending strain has little effect on the frequency characteristics(less than 8.5%),and these bending tests prove that InP DHBT has feasible flexibility.Lishu Wu Jiayun Dai Yuechan Kong Tangsheng Chen Tong Zhang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,9:1
8A real-time AI-assisted seismic monitoring system based on new nodal stations with 4G telemetry and its application in the Yangbi M_(S) 6.4 aftershock monitoring in southwest China显示文摘A rapidly deployable dense seismic monitoring system which is capable of transmitting acquired data in real time and analyzing data automatically is crucial in seismic hazard mitigation after a major earthquake.However,it is rather difficult for current seismic nodal stations to transmit data in real time for an extended period of time,and it usually takes a great amount of time to process the acquired data manually.To monitor earthquakes in real time flexibly,we develop a mobile integrated seismic monitoring system consisting of newly developed nodal units with 4G telemetry and a real-time AI-assisted automatic data processing workflow.The integrated system is convenient for deployment and has been successfully applied in monitoring the aftershocks of the Yangbi M_(S) 6.4 earthquake occurred on May 21,2021 in Yangbi County,Dali,Yunnan in southwest China.The acquired seismic data are transmitted almost in real time through the 4G cellular network,and then processed automat-ically for event detection,positioning,magnitude calculation and source mechanism inversion.From tens of seconds to a couple of minutes at most,the final seismic attributes can be presented remotely to the end users through the integrated system.From May 27 to June 17,the real-time system has detected and located 7905 aftershocks in the Yangbi area before the internal batteries exhausted,far more than the catalog provided by China Earthquake Networks Center using the regional permanent stations.The initial application of this inte-grated real-time monitoring system is promising,and we anticipate the advent of a new era for Real-time Intelligent Array Seismology(RIAS),for better monitoring and understanding the subsurface dynamic pro-cesses caused by Earth's internal forces as well as anthropogenic activities.Junlun Li Huajian Yao Baoshan Wang Yang Yang Xin Hu Lishu Zhang Beng Ye Jun Yang Xiaobin Li Feng Liu Guoyi Chen Chang Guo Wen Yang 2022Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,2:1
9Cross-talking between autophagy and viral infection in mammalian cells显示文摘Autophagy is a cellular process in degradation of long-lived proteins and organelles in the cytosol for maintaining cellular homeostasis,which has been linked to a wide range of human health and disease states,including viral infection.The viral infected cells exhibit a compli-cated cross-talking between autophagy and virus.It has been shown that autophagy interacts with both adaptive and innate immunity.For adaptive immunity,viral antigens can be processed in autophagosomes by acidic proteases before major histocompatibility complex(MHC)class II presentation.For innate immunity,autophagy may assist in the delivery of viral nucleic acids to endosomal TLRs and also functions as a part of the TLR-or-PKR-downstream responses.Autophagy was also reported to suppress the magnitude of host innate antiviral immunity in certain cases.On the other hand,viruses has evolved many strategies to combat or utilize the host autophagy for their own benefit.In this review we discussed recent advances toward clarifying the cross-talking between autophagy and viral infection in mammalian cells.Hongya HAN Lishu ZHANG Xinxian DAI Yanpeng ZHENG 2010Frontiers in Biology2010,5,6:1
10A genome wide association study between copy number variation (CNV) and human height in Chinese population显示文摘Copy number variation (CNV) is a type of genetic variation which may have important roles in phenotypic variability and disease susceptibility. To hunt for genetic variants underlying human height variation, we performed a genome wide CNV association study for human height in 618 Chinese unrelated subjects using Affymetrix 500K array set. After adjusting for age and sex, we found that four CNVs at 6p21.3, 8p23.3-23.2, 9p23 and 16p12.1 were associated with human height (with borderline significant p value: 0.013, 0.011, 0.024, 0.049; respectively). However, after multiple tests correction, none of them was associated with human height. We observed that the gain of copy number (more than 2 copies) at 8p23.3-23.2 was associated with lower height (normal copy number vs. gain of copy number: 161.2 cm vs. 153.7 cm, p = 0.011), which accounted for 0.9% of height variation. Loss of copy number (less than 2 copies) at 6p21.3 was associated with 0.8% lower height (loss of copy number vs. normal copy number: 154.5 cm vs. 161.1 cm, p = 0.013). Since no important genes influencing height located in CNVs at loci of 8p23.3-23.2 and 6p21.3, the two CNVs may cause the structural rear- rangements of neighbored important candidate genes, thus regulates the variation of height. 12Monolayer tungsten disulfide in photonic environment:Angleresolved weak and strong light-matter coupling显示文摘Light-matter interactions in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)are sensitive to the surrounding dielectric environment.Depending on the interacting strength,weak and strong exciton–photon coupling effects can occur when the exciton energy is resonant with the one of photon.Here we report angle-resolved spectroscopic signatures of monolayer tungsten disulfide(1L-WS2)in weak and strong exciton–photon coupling environments.Inherent optical response of 1L-WS_(2)in the momentum space is uncovered by employing a dielectric mirror as substrate,where the energy dispersion is angleindependent while the amplitudes increase at high detection angles.When 1L-WS_(2)sits on top of a dielectric layer on silicon,the resonant trapped photon weakly couples with the exciton,in which the minimum of reflection dip shifts at both sides of the crossing angle while the emitted exciton energy remains unchanged.The unusual shift of reflection dip is attributed to the presence of Fano resonance under white-light illumination.By embedding 1L-WS_(2)into a dielectric microcavity,strong exciton–photon coupling results in the formation of lower and upper polariton branches with an appreciable Rabi splitting of 34 meV at room temperature,where the observed blueshift of the lower polariton branch is indicative of the enhanced polaritonpolariton scattering.Our findings highlight the effect of dielectric environment on angle-resolved optical response of exciton–photon interactions in a two-dimensional semiconductor,which is helpful to develop practical TMD-based architectures for photonic and polaritonic applications.Xuewen Zhang Lishu Wu Xu Wang Silin He Hanwei Hu Guangchao Shi Xingwang Zhang Jingzhi Shang Ting Yu 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1

14Three novel umami peptides derived from the alcohol extract of the Pacific oyster(Crassostrea gigas):identification,characterizations and interactions with T1R1/T1R3 taste receptors显示文摘Oyster(Crassostrea gigas),the main ingredient of oyster sauce,has a strong umami taste.In this study,three potential umami peptides,FLNQDEEAR(FR-9),FNKEE(FE-5),and EEFLK(EK-5),were identified and screened from the alcoholic extracts of the oyster using nano-HPLC-MS/MS analysis,i Umami-Scoring Card Method(i Umami-SCM)database and molecular docking(MD).Sensory evaluation and electronic tongue analysis were further used to confirm their tastes.The threshold of the three peptides ranged from 0.38 to 0.55 mg/m L.MD with umami receptors T1R1/T1R3 indicated that the electrostatic interaction and hydrogen bond interaction were the main forces involved.Besides,the Phe592 and Gln853 of T1R3 were the primary docking site for MD and played an important role in umami intensity.Peptides with two Glu residues at the terminus had stronger umami,especially at the C-terminus.These results contribute to the understanding of umami peptides in oysters and the interaction mechanism between umami peptides and umami receptors.Baifeng Fu Di Wu Shuzhen Cheng Xianbing Xu Ling Zhang Lishu Wang Heshanm REl-Seedi Hanxiong Liu Ming Du 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:1

16Observation of Bragg polaritons in monolayer tungsten disulphide显示文摘Strong light-matter interactions involved with photons and quasiparticles are fundamentally interesting to access the wealthy many-body physics in quantum mechanics.The emerging two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors with large exciton binding energies and strong quantum confinement allow to investigate exciton-photon coupling at elevated temperatures.Here we report room-temperature formation of Bragg polaritons in monolayer semiconductor on a dielectric mirror through the exciton-Bragg photon coupling.With the negative detuning energy of -30 meV,angle-resolved reflection signals reveal anti-crossing behaviors of lower and upper polariton branches at±18°together with the Rabi splitting of 10 meV.Meanwhile,the strengthened photoluminescence appears in the lower polariton branch right below the anti-crossing angles,indicating the presence of the characteristic bottleneck effect caused by the slowing exciton-polariton energy relaxation towards the band minimum.The extracted coupling strength is between the ones of weak and distinct strong coupling regimes,where the eigenenergy splitting induced by the moderate coupling is resolvable but not large enough to fully separate two polaritonic components.Our work develops a simplified strategy to generate exciton-polaritons in 2D semiconductors and can be further extended to probe the intriguing bosonic characteristics of these quasiparticles,such as Bose-Einstein condensation,polariton lasing and superfluidity,directly at the material surfaces.Xu Wang Lishu Wu Xuewen Zhang Weihuang Yang Zheng Sun Jingzhi Shang Wei Huang Ting Yu 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:0
17MyD88 in macrophages protects against colitis via inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome in epithelial cells显示文摘The signal adaptor myeloid differentiation primary response 88(MyD88)of Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling is universally expressed in immune cells and non-immune cells,and myeloid cells play a significant role in modulating colitis.Macrophages are myeloid lineage cells which is important for maintaining intestinal homeostasis in inflammation.1 And macrophages can recognize invading pathogens through pattern recognition receptors(PRRs),such as TLRs and the nucleotide oligomerization domain(NOD)-like receptor family,pyrin domain-containing 3(NLRP3),and quickly infiltrate the injured site leading to inflammation.2 MyD88 expression in myeloid cells can rescue the intestinal injury induced by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)in murine models.However,the mechanism whereby MyD88 works in myeloid cells and influence the progress of the disease remain elusive.In this study,we used DSS induced colitis mouse model and found Lysm-cre-MyD88fl/fl(MyD88ΔМΦ)mice were more susceptible to colitis.The deficiency of MyD88 leads to up-regulation of S100A8,which activate NLRP3 inflammasome and their associated pyroptosis in intestinal epithelial cells in a RAGE dependent manner.Thus,MyD88 signaling in macrophages,which is necessary to maintain intestinal homeostasis,crucially prevents the development of colitis.Our results may shed new lights on potential targets that can be applied in colitis therapy.Shi Liu Yanmin Wu Haiqiang Chen Qi Yuan Shuang Ge Lishu Zhang Lingling Hou Tian Tian Jinhua Zhang 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,2:0
18Probing magnetic-proximity-effect enlarged valley splitting in monolayer WSe2 by photoluminescence显示文摘Possessing a valley degree of freedom and potential in information processing by manipulating valley features (such as valley splitting),group-VI monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides have attracted enormous interest.This valley splitting can be measured based on the difference between the peak energies of σ^+ and σ^- polarized emissions for excitons or trions in direct band gap monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides under perpendicular magnetic fields.In this work,a well-prepared heterostructure is formed by transferring exfoliated WSe2onto a EuS substrate.Circular-polarization-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy,one of the most facile and intuitive methods,is used to probe the difference of the gap energy in two valleys under an applied out-of-plane external magnetic field.Our results indicate that valley splitting can be enhanced when using a EuS substrate,as compared to a SiO2/Si substrate.The enhanced valley splitting of the WSe2/EuS heterostructure can be understood as a result of an interfacial magnetic exchange field originating from the magnetic proximity effect.The value of this magnetic exchange field,based on our estimation,is approximately 9T.Our findings will stimulate further studies on the magnetic exchange field at the interface of similar heterostructures.Chenji Zou Chunxiao Cong Jingzhi Shang Chuan Zhao Mustafa Eginligil Lishu Wu Yu Chen Hongbo Zhang Shun Feng Jing Zhang Hao Zeng Wei Huang Ting Yu 2018Nano Research2018,11,12:0
19Spatial variations of valley splitting in monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide显示文摘In monolayer group-VI transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),valley splitting features have received a lot of attention since it can be potentially utilized for information storing and processing.Among the known two-dimensional(2D)TMDs,monolayer WSe2 or MoSe2 has been mostly selected for excitonic and valleytronic physics studies because of its sharp and well-resolved excitonic spectral features.Meanwhile,their high optical quality leads to a tremendous desire for developing promising WSe2-and MoSe2-based valleytronic devices.Toward this goal,exploring the uniformity of valley features crossing an entire piece of monolayer becomes necessary and critical.Here,we performed the systematic magnetophotoluminescence mapping measurements on mechanically exfoliated monolayer WSe2 and observed unconventional spatial variations of valley splitting.The observed nonuniformity is attributed to the modulated doping,which is probably due to the different distributions of unintentional absorbates across the sample.Such an unexpected doping effect shows the nonnegligible influence on the valley Zeeman splitting of the trion emission(XT)while affecting that of the neutral exciton emission(X0)trivially,evidencing for the large valleytronic sensitivity of the charged exciton.This work not only enriches the understanding of the doping effect on valley splitting but also is meaningful for developing 2D valleytronics.Chenji Zou Hongbo Zhang Yu Chen Shun Feng Lishu Wu Jing Zhang Ting Yu Jingzhi Shang Chunxiao Cong 2020InfoMat2020,2,3:0
20Probing angle-resolved reflection signatures of intralayer and interlayer excitons in monolayer and bilayer MoS_(2)显示文摘Strongly bound excitons in atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides offer many opportunities to reveal the underlying physics of basic quasiparticles and many-body effects in the two-dimensional(2D)limit.Comprehensive reflection investigation on band-edge exciton transitions is essential to exploring wealthy light–matter interactions in the emerging 2D semiconductors,whereas angle-resolved reflection(ARR)characteristics of intralayer and interlayer excitons in 2D MoS_(2)layers remain unclear.Herein,we report ARR spectroscopic features of A,B,interlayer excitons in monolayer(ML)and bilayer(BL)MoS_(2)on three kinds of photonic substrates,involving distinct exciton–photon interactions.In a BL MoS_(2)on a protected silver mirror,the interlayer exciton with one-third amplitude of A exciton appears at 0.05 eV above the A exciton energy,exhibiting an angleinsensitive energy dispersion.When ML and BL MoS_(2)lie on a SiO_(2)-covered silicon,the broad trapped-photon mode weakly couples with the reflection bands of A and B excitons by the Fano resonance effect,causing the asymmetric lineshapes and the redshifted energies.After transferring MoS_(2)layers onto a one-dimensional photonic crystal,two high-lying branches of B-exciton polaritons are formed by the interactions between B excitons and Bragg photons,beyond the weak-coupling regime.This work provides ARR spectral benchmarks of A,B,interlayer excitons in ML and BL MoS_(2),gaining insights into the interpretation of light–matter interactions in 2D semiconductors and the design of their devices for practical photonic applications.Hanwei Hu Xuewen Zhang Xinyu Zhang Lishu Wu Vanessa Li Zhang Silin He Guangchao Shi Ting Yu Jingzhi Shang 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
