| 1 | miR-137, a new target for post-stroke depression?显示文摘Expression of miR-137 is downregulated in brain tissue from patients with depression and suicidal behavior,and is also downregulated in peripheral blood from stroke patients.However,it is not yet known if miR-137 acts as a bridge between stroke and depression.To test this,we used middle cerebral artery occlusion and chronic mild stress to establish a post-stroke depression model in rats.Compared with controls,we found significantly lower miR-137 levels in the brain and peripheral blood from post-stroke depression rats.Injection of a miR-137 antagonist into the brain ventricles upregulated miR-137 levels,and improved behavioral changes in post-stroke depression rats.Luciferase assays showed miR-137 bound to the 3′UTR of Grin2A,regulating Grin2A expression in a neuronal cell line.Grin2A gene overexpression in the brain of post-stroke depression rats,noticeably suppressed the inhibitory effect of miR-137 on post-stroke depression.Overall,our results show that miR-137 suppresses Grin2A protein expression through binding to Grin2A mRNA,thereby exerting an inhibitory effect on post-stroke depression.Our results offer a new therapeutic direction for post-stroke depression. | Lixia Zhao Huazi Li Ruiyou Guo Teng Ma Rongyao Hou Xiaowei Ma Yifeng Du | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,26: | 8 |
| 2 | Corrosion Resistance of 316L Stainless Steel in Acetic Acid by EIS and Mott-Schottky显示文摘The properties of the passivation film formed on 316L stainless steel were studied by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS),Mott-Schottky and Voltammetry measurements in high- temperature acetic acid.The results show that the passivation film formed on 316L stainless steel is stable in 60% acetic acid solution from 25℃to 85℃.As temperature increased,the polarization resistance decreased but the interface capacitance increased.There was hardly any relation between temperature and the intrinsic property semiconductor.The passivation film represents the p-semiconductor property in the potential interval of-0.5-0.1 V;represents the n-semiconductor property in the potential interval of 0.1-0.9 V;and represents the p-semiconductor property in the potential interval of 0.9-1.1 V.The voltammetry measurements show that the structure of the passivation film is stable when the temperature is lower than 55℃ and that its stability decreased when this temperature is exceeded. | CHENG Xuequn LI Xiaogang YANG Lixia DU Cuiwei | 2008 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2008,23,4: | 4 |

| 5 | Colonization of endophyte Acremonium sp. D212 in Panax notoginseng and rice mediated by auxin and jasmonic acid显示文摘Endophytic fungi can be beneficial to plant growth. However, the molecular mechanisms under-lying colonization of Acremonium spp. remain unclear. In this study, a novel endophytic Acremonium strain was isolated from the buds of Panax notoginseng and named Acremonium sp. D212. The Acremonium sp. D212 could colonize the roots of P. notoginseng, enhance the resistance of P. notoginseng to root rot disease, and promote root growth and saponin bio-synthesis in P. notoginseng. Acremonium sp. D212 could secrete indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and jasmonic acid (JA), and inoculation with the fungus increased the endogenous levels of IAA and JA in P. noto-ginseng. Colonization of the Acremonium sp. D212 in the roots of the rice line Nipponbare was dependent on the concentration of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) (2–15μmol/L) and 1-naphthalenacetic acid (NAA) (10–20μmol/L). Moreover, the roots of the JA signaling-defective coi1-18 mutant were colonized by Acremonium sp. D212 to a lesser degree than those of the wild-type Nipponbare and miR393b-overexpressing lines, and the colonization was res-cued by MeJA but not by NAA. It suggests that the cross-talk between JA signaling and the auxin biosynthetic pathway plays a crucial role in the colonization of Acremonium sp. | 8 | Detection of Asymptomatic Carotid Artery Stenosis in High-Risk Individuals of Stroke Using a Machine-Learning Algorithm显示文摘Objective Asymptomatic carotid stenosis(ACS)is closely associated to the incidence of severe cerebrovascular diseases.Early identifying the individuals with ACS and its associated risk factors could be beneficial for primary prevention of stroke.This study aimed to investigate a machine-learning algorithm for the detection of ACS among high-risk population of stroke based on the associated risk factors.Methods A novel model of machine learning was utilized to screen the associated predictors of ACS based on 30 potential risk factors.The algorithm of this model adopted a random forest pattern based on the training data and then was verified using the testing data.All of the original data were retrieved from the China National Stroke Screening and Prevention Project(CNSSPP),including demographic,clinical and laboratory characteristics.The individuals with high risk of stroke were enrolled and randomly divided into a training group and a testing group at a ratio of 4:1.The identification of carotid stenosis by carotid artery duplex scans was set as the golden standard.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and the area under the curve(AUC)was used to evaluate the efficacy of the model in detecting ACS.Results Of 2841 high risk individual of stroke enrolled,326(11.6%)were diagnosed as ACS by ultrasonography.The top five risk fectors contributing to ACS in this model were identified as family history of dyslipidemia,high level of lowdensity lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c),low level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c),aging,and low body. | Junxiong Yin Cheng Yu Lixia Wei Chuanyong Yu Hongxing Liu Mingyang Du Feng Sun Chongjun Wang Xiaoshan Wang | 2020 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,4: | 2 |
| 9 | Effect of compound Guizhu capsule on phosphate and tension homology deleted on chromsome ten and murine double mimute 2 gene expression in lung cancer of mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the inhibitory effect of the Chinese herbal compound Guizhu capsule(CGZC)on lung cancer and explore the possible mechanism underlying its actions by evaluating its effects on the expression of phosphate and tension homology deleted on chromsome ten(PTEN) and murine double mimute 2(MDM2) in lung cancer model mice.METHODS: A mouse model of transplanted lung cancer was established by subcutaneous inoculation of cancer cells into the axillae of mice. Twenty-four hours later, the mice were weighed and randomly divided into the model control group, cisplatin group(DDP group), and high, moderate and low dosage CGZC groups, with ten mice in each group. The control mice received an equal volume of distilled water. DDP was intraperitoneally injected at 1 mg/kg in the DDP group, once a day for 3days. CGZC diluted with distilled water was admin-istered at 20 g/kg(10 times the clinical adult dosage) in the high-dose group, 10 g/kg(5 times the clinical adult dosage) in the moderate-dose group and 5 g/kg(2.5 times the clinical adult dosage) in the low-dose group once a day for 10 days. On the11 th day, the mice were weighed and killed. The tumor tissues were weighed and the tumor inhibition rate was calculated. PTEN and MDM2 protein expression were detected by immunohistochemical analysis of tumor tissues.RESULTS: The CGZC high-and moderate-dose groups showed a significant inhibitory effect on tumor growth(P < 0.05); there was no significant difference between the high dose group and the DDP group(P > 0.05). The CGZC high-dose group also showed enhanced expression of PTEN protein(P <0.01) and decreased expression of MDM2 protein(P < 0.01) in lung cancer cells of the mice. There was no significant difference between the high dose group and the DDP group.CONCLUSION: CGZC has a significant inhibitory effect on transplanted lung cancer in mice. | 20 | First Report of Fusarium striatum Causing Root Rot Disease of Panax notoginseng in Yunnan,China显示文摘Panax notoginseng is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant.Root rot of P.notoginseng is one of the most serious diseases affecting P.notoginseng growth and causes wilted leaves,fewer lateral roots and rotten roots.Root rot is a soil-borne disease,and mainly occurs from June to August in Yunnan Province when the temperatures are high and the air is humid.In this study,the endophytic fungal genus Fusarium isolate E-2018.1.22-#3.2 was obtained from a P.notoginseng embryo.Fusarium isolate E-2018.1.22-#3.2 was identified as Fusarium striatum based on morphological characteristics and molecular analysis.The fungus was found to have conidiophores and macroconidia,and its ITS,LSU and TEF-1αgenes shared 100%,99.2%and 99%identities with the homologous genes of Fusarium striatum,respectively.Isolate F.striatum E-2018.1.22-#3.2 can cause root rot symptoms,including black,soft roots,fewer lateral roots and leaf wilt,in 93%of the experimental P.notoginseng plants,and could be re-isolated,fulfilling Koch’s postulates.When the P.notoginseng plants were treated with the fungicide pyraclostrobin,isolate F.striatum E-2018.1.22-#3.2 was unable to cause root rot.We have therefore demonstrated that F.striatum E-2018.1.22-#3.2 is able to cause root rot disease in P.notoginseng.This is the first report of root rot disease caused by F.striatum on P.notoginseng in China. | Xuan Zhou Chongyu Luo Kuixiu Li Dan Zhu Lihui Jiang Lixia Wu Youchun Li Xiahong He Yunlong Du | 2022 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,1: | 0 |
