2Carbon Emission of Regional Land Use and Its Decomposition Analysis: Case Study of Nanjing City, China显示文摘Through the matching relationship between land use types and carbon emission items, this paper estimated carbon emissions of different land use types in Nanjing City, China and analyzed the influencing factors of carbon emissions by Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LMDI) model. The main conclusions are as follows: 1) Total anthropogenic carbon emission of Nanjing increased from 1.22928 x 107 t in 2000 to 3.06939 x 107 t in 2009, in which the carbon emission of Inhabitation, mining & manufacturing land accounted for 93% of the total. 2) The average land use carbon emission intensity of Nanjing in 2009 was 46.63 t/ha, in which carbon emission intensity of Inhabitation, mining & manufacturing land was the highest(200.52 t/ha), which was much higher than that of other land use types. 3) The average carbon source intensity in Nanjing was 16 times of the average carbon sink intensity(2.83 t/ha) in 2009, indicating that Nanjing was confronted with serious carbon deficit and huge carbon cycle pressure. 4) Land use area per unit GDP was an inhibitory factor for the increase of carbon emissions, while the other factors were all contributing factors. 5) Carbon emission effect evaluation should be introduced into land use activities to formulate low-carbon land use strategies in regional development.ZHAO Rongqin HUANG Xianjin LIU Ying ZHONG Taiyang DING Minglei CHUAI Xiaowei 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,2:10
3microRNA-mediated R gene regulation: molecular scabbards for double-edged swords显示文摘Plant resistance(R) proteins are immune receptors that recognize pathogen effectors and trigger rapid defense responses, namely effector-triggered immunity. R protein-mediated pathogen resistance is usually race specific. During plant-pathogen coevolution,plant genomes accumulated large numbers of R genes. Even though plant R genes provide important natural resources for breeding disease-resistant crops, their presence in the plant genome comes at a cost. Misregulation of R genes leads to developmental defects, such as stunted growth and reduced fertility. In the past decade, many microRNAs(miRNAs) have been identified to target various R genes in plant genomes. miRNAs reduce R gene levels under normal conditions and allow induction of R gene expression under various stresses. For these reasons, we consider R genes to be double-edged 'swords' and miRNAs as molecular 'scabbards'. 4Warming moxibustion attenuates inflammation and cartilage degradation in experimental rabbit knee osteoarthritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the molecular mechanism of warming moxibustion(WM)in knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS:The knee joints of 40 New Zealand rabbits were placed in a plaster cast in an extended position to establish a KOA model.The animals were randomly divided into four groups:the control group,model group,WM group,and diclofenac(DF)group.Hematoxylin-eosin staining and the modified Mankin score were applied to evaluate the histopathological changes.Chondrocyte apoptosis was determined by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)assay.Western blotting and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction were performed to measure the expression of interleukin-1β(IL-1β),prostaglandin E receptor 3(PTGER3),a disintegrin-like and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin type-1 motifs-5(ADAMTS-5),matrix metalloproteinase-13(MMP-13),and C-terminal telopeptides of collagen typeⅡ(CTX-Ⅱ)in cartilage tissues of the different groups.The concentrations of IL-1β,PTGER3,and CTX-Ⅱin serum were detected by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Rabbits with KOA in the WM and DF groups showed significantly reduced cartilage erosion and Mankin scores,compared with the untreated rabbits.The number of TUNEL-positive cells observed in the WM group was much fewer than that in the model group.The expression of PTGER3,MMP-13,CTX-Ⅱ,IL-1β,and ADAMTS-5 in cartilage tissues was remarkably downregulated following therapy with WM and DF.Moreover,a marked reduction was observed in the serum levels of IL-1β,PTGER3,and CTX-Ⅱin the WM and DF groups.CONCLUSION:WM exerts favorable therapeutic effects on articular injuries of KOA by regulating the expression of inflammatory and cartilage degradation-related cytokines.LIU Di WU Yongli LI Chun WANG Minglei MA Xiaoxiu LIU Junwei ZHANG Yanling YANG Lei 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6:9

8Progress in the beam commissioning of separated function RFQ accelerator显示文摘Separated Function RFQ (SFRFQ) was proposed as a post accelerator of RFQ to accelerate heavy ions at low frequency. It introduces gap accelerating in the quadrupole electrodes, and therefore it has higher accelerating efficiency than the conventional RFQ accelerator. The first SFRFQ prototype cavity has been specially designed and constructed as a post accelerator to accelerate O+ beam from 1.03 MeV to 1.64 MeV. Based on accomplishment of low power measurement and high power test, the beam commissioning was carried out to verify its feasibility. 11Clinical outcomes of atezolizumab in combination with etoposide/platinum for treatment of extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer:A real-world,multicenter,retrospective,controlled study in China显示文摘Objective:Atezolizumab along with chemotherapy has prolonged the survival of patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer(ES-SCLC)worldwide,although real-world(RW)data are lacking in China.This study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and clinical outcomes of atezolizumab plus etoposide/platinum(EP).Methods:Data obtained in this retrospective study were captured from six oncology units of five medical facilities from January 2019 to April 2022.For first-line treatments,atezolizumab combined with EP vs.EP alone,we primarily evaluated progression-free survival(PFS);other efficacy indicators,including overall survival(OS),objective response rate(ORR),and patterns of SCLC progression and adverse events(AEs)were assessed.Results:The primary analysis included data from 225 patients,of whom 133 received EP along with atezolizumab(atezolizumab group)and 92 received EP alone(EP group).The PFS duration of the atezolizumab group[7.10 months;95%confidence interval(95%CI),6.53-9.00]exceeded that of the EP group(6.50 months;95%CI,4.83-7.53).Overall,the hazard ratio(HR)was 0.69(95%CI,0.49-0.97)(P=0.029);particularly,the HR was 0.54(95%CI,0.36-0.80)among patients undergoing≥4 chemotherapy cycles and 0.33(95%CI,0.20-0.56)among individuals with atezolizumab maintenance.The ORR and disease-control rate(DCR)were similar between the two groups.Because of incomplete OS data,the median OS was not determined for either group.Bone marrow suppression was the most common AE detected(58.6%)in the atezolizumab group.Immune-related AEs occurred in 19 patients in the atezolizumab group(14.3%),with only one case of grade 3 encephalitis.Conclusions:This RW study in China demonstrated improved clinical outcomes of atezolizumab along with EP for ES-SCLC,particularly in the chemosensitive population.These results align with the results of the IMpower133 study,although the impact of this treatment modality on OS warrants additional follow-up studies.Hanxiao Chen Xiangjuan Ma Jie Liu Yu Yang Yong Fang Liping Wang Jian Fang Jun Zhao Minglei Zhuo 2022Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2022,34,4:1

13Ferroelectric relaxor as a critical state显示文摘After revisiting models for the ferroelectric relaxors, we notice that the models can be classified into two categories. One group models are directly based upon the compositional fluctuations, such as Smolenskii's theory and SRBRF model. The other models are experimental phenomenon oriented, such as macro-micro domain crossover and superparaelectric state. The later explanations imply that the ferroelectric relaxor is in a critical state. The unusual field induced phase transition in ferroelectric relaxor also suggests that this is a critical phenomenon with first order phase transition feature. Therefore within the framework of effective field approach and with introducing the concept of quantum temperature scale, we reproduce the diffused phase transition of the dielectric constant and the field induced phase transition. 15Flexible quasi-solid-state dual-ion asymmetric supercapacitor based on Ni(OH)2 and Nb2O5 nanosheet arrays显示文摘Increasing the energy density, power density as well as widening the operation voltage are essential to electrochemical capacitors to meet the practical energy demands. Herein, a novel flexible quasi-solid-state dual-ion asymmetric supercapacitor(ASC) with Ni(OH)2 and Nb2O5 nanosheets directly grown on stainless steel mesh is developed. In the dual-ion ASC, Nb2O5 negative and Ni(OH)2 positive electrodes react with Li+ and OH- respectively in alkaline gel electrolyte to store energy, which is quite different from conventional alkali metal ion SCs and alkaline SCs. The as-assembled flexible device has an extended working voltage of 1.7 V and delivers a capacity of 5.37 mAh cm-2, a maximum energy density and power density of 0.52 mWh cm-3 and 170 mW cm-3 , respectively. The device maintains around 60% capacity retention after long cycling up to 1000 cycles. Moreover, our device can light up a LED light efficiently upon fast charging. 16Pivotal roles of tumor-draining lymph nodes in the abscopal effects from combined immunotherapy and radiotherapy显示文摘Background:Currently,due to synergy enhancement of anti-tumor effects and potent stimulation of abscopal effects,combination therapy with irradiation and programmed cell death protein 1/programmed death-ligand 1(PD-1/PD-L1)immune checkpoint inhibition(immuno-radiotherapy,iRT)has revolutionized the therapeutic guidelines.It has been demonstrated that tumor-draining lymph nodes(TDLN)are essential for effective antitumor immunity induced by radiotherapy,immunotherapy,or iRT.Given that the function of TDLN in iRT remains unclear,this study aimed to investigate the function and mechanism of TDLN in iRT-induced abscopal effects.Methods:The function of TDLN was evaluated using unilateral or bilateral MC38 and B16F10 subcutaneous tumor models with or without indicated TDLN.The flow cytometry,multiple immunofluorescence analysis,and NanoString analysis were utilized to detect the composition and function of the immune cells in the primary and abscopal tumor microenvironment.Additionally,we tempted to interrogate the possible mechanisms via RNA-sequencing of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and TDLN.Results:TDLN deficiency impaired the control of tumor growth by monotherapy.Bilateral TDLN removal rather than unilateral TDLN removal substantially curtailed iRT-stimulated anti-tumor and abscopal effects.Furthermore,in the absence of TDLN,the infiltration of CD45+and CD8+T cells was substantially reduced in both primary and abscopal tumors,and the anti-tumor function of CD8+T cells was attenuated as well.Additionally,the polarization of tumor-associated macrophages in primary and abscopal tumors were found to be dependent on intact bilateral TDLN.RNA-sequencing data indicated that impaired infiltration and anti-tumor effects of immune cells partially attributed to the altered secretion of components from the tumor microenvironment.Conclusions:TDLN play a critical role in iRT by promoting the infiltration of CD8+T cells and maintaining the M1/M2 macrophage ratio.Zhaoyun Liu Zhiyong Yu Dawei Chen Vivek Verma Chenxi Yuan Minglei Wang Fei Wang Qing Fan Xingwu Wang Yang Li Yuequn Ma Meng Wu Jinming Yu 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,10:1
17Combining quantitative and qualitative magnetic resonance imaging features to differentiate anorectal malignant melanoma from low rectal cancer显示文摘Background:Distinguishing anorectal malignant melanoma from low rectal cancer remains challenging because of the overlap of clinical symptoms and imaging findings.We aim to investigate whether combining quantitative and qualitative magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)features could differentiate anorectal malignant melanoma from low rectal cancer.Methods:Thirty-seven anorectal malignant melanoma and 98 low rectal cancer patients who underwent preoperative rectal MRI from three hospitals were retrospectively enrolled.All patients were divided into the primary cohort(N=84)and validation cohort(N=51).Quantitative image analysiswas performed on T1-weighted(T1WI),T2-weighted(T2WI),and contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging(CE-T1WI).The subjective qualitative MRI findings were evaluated by two radiologists in consensus.Multivariable analysis was performed using stepwise logistic regression.The discrimination performance was assessed by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)with a 95%confidence interval(CI).Results:The skewness derived from T2WI(T2WI-skewness)showed the best discrimination performance among the entire quantitative image features for differentiating anorectal malignant melanoma from low rectal cancer(primary cohort:AUC=0.852,95%CI 0.788–0.916;validation cohort:0.730,0.645–0.815).Multivariable analysis indicated that T2WI-skewness and the signal intensity of T1WI were independent factors,and incorporating both factors achieved good discrimination performance in two cohorts(primary cohort:AUC=0.913,95%CI 0.868–0.958;validation cohort:0.902,0.844–0.960).Conclusions:Incorporating T2WI-skewness and the signal intensity of T1WI achieved good performance for differentiating anorectal malignant melanoma from low rectal cancer.The quantitative image analysis helps improve diagnostic accuracy.Zeyan Xu Ke Zhao Lujun Han Pinxiong Li Zhenwei Shi Xiaomei Huang Chu Han Huihui Wang Minglei Chen Chen Liu Yanting Liang Suyun Li Yanqi Huang Xin Chen Changhong Liang Wuteng Cao Zaiyi Liu 2021Precision Clinical Medicine2021,4,2:0

19Oxidating liquid metal interface integrated capacitive pressure detection显示文摘The characteristics of real-time monitoring and flexible integration based on passive capacitive detection are becoming the preferred sensing strategy for wearable devices.However,the currently designed capacitive sensors mostly focused on the bionic microstructures to improve sensitivity and measurement accuracy,while ignoring the inherent mechanical wear and resistance of multilayer structures.In this paper,an integrated monolithic capacitive pressure detection based on room temperature liquid metal is designed and fabricated,avoiding the tightness problem of the multi-layer structure.The oxidized paste-like liquid metal owning superior interfacial wetting properties can stably adhere to the surface of the porous framework.The gas-filled porous framework endows the capacitive sensor with a mechanical response of 0.0557 g with a response and recovery time of 1.26 and 0.63 s under a load condition of 150 Pa,and steadily maintained in 1600 cycle tests.Finally,the capacitive sensor is employed to detect human physiological signals and force shock responses,which could clearly distinguish different action signals,providing a new platform for the subsequent development and design of integrated capacitive sensors.FU Jun-Heng ZHAN Fei XING ZeRong ZHANG Teng SUN XinLong ZENG Yun YAN MingLei TANG Wei LIU Jing WANG Lei ZHAO Yang 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,6:0
20Diminishing ether-oxygen content of electrolytes enables temperature-immune lithium metal batteries显示文摘The reversibility of lithium(Li) metal anodes is highly susceptible to temperature,owing to the aggravated side reactions at high temperatures and serious Li dendrite growth at low temperatures.Thus it is extremely challenging to simultaneously realize the high Li reversibility in both low and high temperature scenarios.Herein,an oxygen-free solvent(n-hexane,HEX) assisted with the hexyl methyl ether and 1 mol L^(-1)lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide is proposed to constitute an electrolyte for temperatureimmune lithium metal batteries.It demonstrates that the HEX not only greatly suppresses the solvent reduction even at high temperatures but also weaken the Li~+-solvent interaction for the facile Li-ion desolvation,leading to high Li Coulombic efficiencies(99.59% at 25℃,99.30%at 60℃ and 98.75% at -30℃) and the dendrite-free Li plating from -30℃ to 60℃.Benefitting from the low density and temperature-immune properties of our electrolyte,the sulfurized polyacrylonitrile(3.8mAh cm^(-2))||Li(60 μm) pouch-cells deliver 278 Wh kg^(-1)energy density and maintain the stable performance over 50 cycles,and retain 248 and 320 Wh kg^(-1) energy density at -30℃ and 60℃,respectively.This work provides a new perspective on the electrolyte design for wide-temperature Li metal batteries.Tao Liu Jingnan Feng Zhe Shi Huajun Li Weina Zhao Minglei Mao Xiangzhen Zhu Yong-Sheng Hu Hong Li Xuejie Huang Liquan Chen Liumin Suo 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,9:0
