2Isolation and characterization of two genes encoding polygalacturonase-inhibiting protein from Populus deltoides显示文摘Polygalacturonase-inhibiting proteins (PGIPs) are extracellular proteins that belong to the leucine-rich repeat (LRR) protein super-family. PGIPs inhibit fungal polygalacturonases (PGs) and promote accumulation of oligogalacturonides, which activate plant defense responses. PGIPs play important roles in resistance to infection of pathogens. In this study, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reac-tion (RT-PCR) and RNA ligase-mediated rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RLM-RACE) were used to isolate the full-length PGIP cDNA from Populus deltoides (GenBank accession no. of PdPGIP2 and PdPGIP4: EF684913 and EF684912). Domain analysis revealed that the deduced amino acid sequences of PdPGIP2 and PdPGIP4 had a typical PGIP topology. Phylogenetic analysis of known PGIPs indicated that the two PdPGIPs were clustered to the defense-related PGIP clade. Using real-time RT-PCR, the expression patterns of the two PdPGIPs following treatment with a fungal pathogen and defense-related signaling molecules were studied. The expression levels of PdPGIP2 and PdPGIP4 were both up-regulated when inoculated with the phytopathogenic fungus Marssonina brunnea. 3Identification of differentially expressed proteins in poplar leaves in-duced by Marssonina brunnea f. sp. Multigermtubi显示文摘Black spot disease in poplar is a disease of the leaf caused by fungus. The major pathogen is Marssonina brunnea f. sp. multigermtubi. To date, little is known about the molecular mechanism of poplar (M. brunnea) interaction. In order to identify the proteins related to disease resistance and understand its molecular basis, the clone 'NL895' (P. euramericana CL'NL895'), which is highly resistant to M. brunnea f. sp. multigermtubi, was used in this study. We used two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and mass spectrometry (MS) to identify the proteins in poplar leaves that were differentially expressed in response to black spot disease pathogen, M. brunnea f. sp. mul- tigermtubi. Proteins extracted from poplar leaves at 0, 12, 24, 48, and 72 h after pathogen-inoculation were separated by 2-DE. About 500 reproducible protein spots were detected, of which 40 protein spots displayed differential expression in levels and were subjected to Ma- trix assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) followed by database searching. 4Study on the relationship between waste classification,combustion condition and dioxin emission from waste incineration显示文摘Domestic waste in China is mainly collected as a combination of different types of materials.The components are variable and complex,with very different combustion characteristics making it difficult to optimize the burning to reduce pollution.There are still some controversies about the accuracy of using carbon monoxide(CO)emission to characterize waste incineration performance.Here,we investigated the relationship between waste classification,incineration conditions and dioxin emission and concluded that the concentration of CO in flue gas could not be used as the only criterion of combustion efficiency and safety.Considering the close relationship between the formation of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs)and products of incomplete combustion,the relatively low concentrations of CO are not a reliable indicator that an incinerator equipped with an activated carbon injection system and fabric filter could achieve the national standards for PCDD/F emission.The goal,therefore,is not only to lower the emission of PCDD/Fs and other pollutants through clas-sifying the waste components at the source,but also to reduce the need for the treatment of incinerated waste to protect the environment and to increase the power generation efficiency of municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)plants.As the demand for waste disposal continues to rapidly increase,the need for a safe waste incineration system with dioxin emission controls makes the classification of waste an indispensable part of future MSWI systems.Xiaodong Li Yunfeng Ma Mengmei Zhang Mingxiu Zhan Peiyue Wang Xiaoqing Lin Tong Chen Shengyong Lu Jianhua Yan 2019Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2019,1,2:3
5Projections from D2 Neurons in Different Subregions of Nucleus Accumbens Shell to Ventral Pallidum Play Distinct Roles in Reward and Aversion显示文摘The nucleus accumbens shell(NAcSh) plays an important role in reward and aversion. Traditionally, NAc dopamine receptor 2-expressing(D2) neurons are assumed to function in aversion. However, this has been challenged by recent reports which attribute positive motivational roles to D2 neurons. Using optogenetics and multiple behavioral tasks, we found that activation of D2 neurons in the dorsomedial NAcSh drives preference and increases the motivation for rewards, whereas activation of ventral NAcSh D2 neurons induces aversion. Stimulation of D2 neurons in the ventromedial NAcSh increases movement speed and stimulation of D2 neurons in the ventrolateral NAc Sh decreases movement speed. Combining retrograde tracing and in situ hybridization, we demonstrated that glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons in the ventral pallidum receive inputs differentially from the dorsomedial and ventral NAcSh. 9Effects of Pressure on the Solidification Microstructure of Mg65Cu25Y10 Alloy显示文摘The Mg65Cu25Y10 melts were quenched at a temperature of 973 K under various pressures in the range of 2~5 GPa and ambient pressure. The microstructure of the solidified specimens has been investigated by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscope and electron probe microanalysis. Experimental results show that the pressure has a great influence on the solidification microstructure of the Mg65Cu25Y10. At ambient pressure, the solidification products are Mg2(Cu,Y) and a very small amount of Y2O3 inclusion. As the pressure is above 2 GPa, a new Cu2(Y,Mg) phase appears, while Y2O3 is not observed at the pressure of 3, 4 and 5 GPa. When the pressure increases from 2 GPa to 5 GPa, the grain sizes of Mg2(Cu,Y) and Cu2(Y,Mg) decrease from 125, 96 nm to 80,7 nm, respectively. 11Drought stress and plant ecotype drive microbiome recruitment in switchgrass rhizosheath显示文摘The rhizosheath,a layer of soil grains that adheres firmly to roots,is beneficial for plant growth and adaptation to drought environments.Switchgrass is a perennial C4 grass which can form contact rhizosheath under drought conditions.In this study,we characterized the microbiomes of four different rhizocompartments of two switchgrass ecotypes(Alamo and Kanlow)grown under drought or well-watered conditions via 16S ribosomal RNA amplicon sequencing.These four rhizocompartments,the bulk soil,rhizosheath soil,rhizoplane,and root endosphere,harbored both distinct and overlapping microbial communities.The root compartments(rhizoplane and root endosphere)displayed low-complexity communities dominated by Proteobacteria and Firmicutes.Compared to bulk soil,Cyanobacteria and Bacteroidetes were selectively enriched,while Proteobacteria and Firmicutes were selectively depleted,in rhizosheath soil.Taxa from Proteobacteria or Firmicutes were specifically selected in Alamo or Kanlow rhizosheath soil.Following drought stress,Citrobacter and Acinetobacter were further enriched in rhizosheath soil,suggesting that rhizosheath microbiome assembly is driven by drought stress.Additionally,the ecotype-specific recruitment of rhizosheath microbiome reveals their differences in drought stress responses.Collectively,these results shed light on rhizosheath microbiome recruitment in switchgrass and lay the foundation for the improvement of drought tolerance in switchgrass by regulating the rhizosheath microbiome.Tie-Yuan Liu Nenghui Ye Xinyu Wang Debatosh Das Yuxiang Tan Xiangkai You Mingxiu Long Tianming Hu Lei Dai Jianhua Zhang Mo-Xian Chen 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,10:1

17Three-in-one LaNiO_(3) functionalized separator boosting electrochemical stability and redox kinetics for high-performance Li-S battery显示文摘The lithium-sulfur(Li-S)battery,as one of the energy storage devices,has been in the limelight due to its high theoretical energy density.However,the poor redox kinetics and the'shuttle effect'of polysulfides severely restrict the use of Li-S batteries in practical applications.Herein,a novel bimetallic LaNiO_(3) functional material with high electrical conductivity and catalytic property is prepared to act as a high-efficiency polysulfide shuttling stopper.The three LaNiO_(3) samples with different physical/chemical characteristics are obtained by controlling the calcination temperature.In conjunction with the high electrical conductivity and excellent catalytic properties of the as-prepared materials,the appropriate chemisorption toward polysulfides offers great potential to enhance electrochemical stability for highperformance Li-S batteries.Particularly,the Li-S cell with the separator modified by such functional material gives a specific capacity of 658 mA h g^(-1) after 500 cycles at a high current density of 2 C.Even with high sulfur loading of 6.05 mg cm^(-2),the Li-S battery still exhibits an areal specific capacity of 2.81 m A h cm^(-2)after 150 cycles.This work paves a new avenue for the rational design of materials for separator modification in high-performance Li-S batteries.Weiyu Wang Mingxiu Hou Fangqian Han Di Yu Jie Liu Qian Zhang Fengli Yu Lei Wang Maoshuai He 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,7:1
