2Graft-accelerated virus-induced gene silencing facilitates functional genomics in rose flowers显示文摘Rose has emerged as a model ornamental plant for studies of flower development, senescence, and morphology, as well as the metabolism of floral fragrances and colors.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS) has long been used in functional genomics studies of rose by vacuum infiltration of cuttings or seedlings with an Agrobacterium suspension carrying TRV-derived vectors. However, VIGS in rose flowers remains a challenge because of its low efficiency and long time to establish silencing. Here we present a novel and rapid VIGS method that can be used to analyze gene function in rose,called ‘graft-accelerated VIGS', where axil ary sprouts are cut from the rose plant and vacuum infiltrated with Agrobacterium. The inoculated scions are then grafted back onto the plants to flower and silencing phenotypes can be observed within 5 weeks, post-infiltration. Using this new method, we successfully silenced expression of the RhDFR_1, RhA G, and RhNUDX_1 in rose flowers, and affected their color, petal number, as well as fragrance, respectively. This grafting method will facilitate high-throughput functional analysis of genes in rose flowers. 4Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Efficacy of Banxia Xiexin Decoction for Treatment of Bile Reflux Gastritis显示文摘[Objectives]The purpose was to study the clinical efficacy and safety of Banxia Xiexin decoction in treating bile reflux gastritis(BRG).[Methods]Randomized controlled trial was adopted to conduct scientific and standardized assessment on the risk of bias in the included articles.With overall effect and epigastric pain relief as indices,meta-analysis was performed,and sensitivity and safety analysis was conducted on the included literature.[Results]A total of 13 articles were included,involving a total of 1478 patients.The results of meta-analysis show that the efficacy of Banxia Xiexin decoction alone and Banxia Xiexin decoction-Western medicine combination is better than that of Western medicine alone.[Conclusions]Banxia Xiexin decoction is safe and effective in treating bile reflux gastritis.However,as the 13 articles included are all low in quality and there is a certain degree of publication bias,the objectivity of the results is affected to some extent.Ningning ZHAO Bing WEI Shiying TANG 2020Medicinal Plant2020,11,3:3

7DEM simulation of particle flow and separation in a vibrating flip-flow screen显示文摘Vibrating flip-flow screens(VFFS)with stretchable polyurethane sieve mats have been widely used in screening fine-grained materials in recent years.In this work,the discrete element method(DEM)is used to study the screening process in VFFS to explain particle flow and separation behavior at the particle scale.Unlike traditional vibrating screens,for VFFS,the amplitude response of each point on the elastic sieve mat is different everywhere.This study measures the kinematics of the elastic sieve mat under different conditions such as different stretched lengths and material loads.To establish the elastic sieve mat model in a DEM simulation,the continuous elastic sieve mat is discretized into multiple units,and the displacement signal of each unit tested is analyzed by Fourier series.The Fourier series analysis results of each unit are used as the setting parameters for motion.In this way,the movement of the elastic sieve mat is approximately simulated,and a DEM model of VFFS is produced.Through the simulation,the flow and separation of different-sized particles in VFFS are studied,and the reasonability of the simulation is verified by a pilot-scale screening experiment.The present study demonstrates the potential of the DEM method for the analysis of screening processes in VFFS.Chi Yu Dongdong Lin Ningning Xu Xinwen Wang Kunwei Pu Zhenghao Wang Guofeng Zhao Runhui Geng Sanpeng Gong 2023Particuology2023,,2:2

9Comparisons of stable isotopic fractionation in winter and summer at Baishui Glacier No.1,Mt.Yulong,China显示文摘Based on the data of δ18O in surface snow, snow pits, meltwater and the glacier-fed river water at Baishui Glacier No.1, Mt. Yulong, the isotopic fractionation behaviors in the typical monsoonal temperate glacier system in winter and summer were compared. The results indicate that the isotopic fractionation degree in summer is greater than that in winter, suggesting that the snow/ice melting is more intense in summer. Moreover, whenever it is in winter or summer, from surface snow to meltwater, and to glacier-fed river water, the gradient of δ18O with altitude gradually increases. 10Trace determination and characterization of ginsenosides in rat plasma through magnetic dispersive solid-phase extraction based on core-shell polydopamine-coated magnetic nanoparticles显示文摘Enrichment of trace bioactive constituents and metabolites from complex biological samples is challenging.This study presented a one-pot synthesis of magnetic polydopamine nanoparticles(Fe3O4@-SiO2@PDA NPs)with multiple recognition sites for the magnetic dispersive solid-phase extraction(MDSPE)of ginsenosides from rat plasma treated with white ginseng.The extracted ginsenosides were characterized by combining an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to a highresolution mass spectrometry with supplemental UNIFI libraries.Response surface methodology was statistically used to optimize the extraction procedure of the ginsenosides.The reusability of Fe3O4@-SiO2@PDA NPs was also examined and the results showed that the recovery rate exceeded 80%after recycling 6 times.Furthermore,the proposed method showed greater enrichment efficiency and could rapidly determine and characterize 23 ginsenoside prototypes and metabolites from plasma.In comparison,conventional methanol method can only detect 8 ginsenosides from the same plasma samples.The proposed approach can provide methodological reference for the trace determination and characterization of different bioactive ingredients and metabolites of traditional Chinese medicines and food.Ningning Zhao Shu Liu Junpeng Xing Zifeng Pi Fengrui Song Zhiqiang Liu 2020Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,1:1

13An analytical poroelastic model for laboratorial mechanical testing of the articular cartilage (AC)显示文摘The articular cartilage(AC) can be seen as a biphasic poroelastic material.The cartilage deformation under compression mainly leads to an interstitial fluid flow in the porous solid phase.In this paper,an analytical poroelastic model for the AC under laboratorial mechanical testing is developed.The solutions of interstitial fluid pressure and velocity are obtained.The results show the following facts.(i) Both the pressure and fluid velocity amplitudes are proportional to the strain loading amplitude.(ii) Both the amplitudes of pore fluid pressure and velocity in the AC depend more on the loading amplitude than on the frequency.Thus,in order to obtain the considerable fluid stimulus for the AC cell responses,the most effective way is to increase the loading amplitude rather than the frequency.(iii) Both the interstitial fluid pressure and velocity are strongly affected by permeability variations.This model can be used in experimental tests of the parameters of AC or other poroelastic materials,and in research of mechanotransduction and injury mechanism involved interstitial fluid flow.Xiaogang WU Kuijun CHEN Zhaowei WANG Ningning WANG Teng ZHAO Yanan XUE Yanqin WANG Weiyi CHEN 2018Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2018,39,6:1

15Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Tanshinone Capsule in the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome显示文摘[Objectives]To study the efficacy and safety of tanshinone capsule in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).[Methods]A randomized controlled trial or semi-randomized controlled trial of tanshinone capsule in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome was included.Two researchers screened the retrieved literature,extracted the data,assessed the risk of bias of the included literature,and then carried out meta-analysis.[Results]A total of 5 articles were included,involving 350 patients.The results of meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group,tanshinone capsule could reduce total cholesterol[MD=-0.73,95%CI(-0.86,-0.60),P<0.00001],triglyceride[MD=-0.40,95%CI(-0.57,-0.23),P<0.00001],low density lipoprotein cholesterol[MD=-0.47,95%CI(-0.73,-0.53),P<0.00001],follicle stimulating hormone[MD=-0.63,95%CI(-0.73,-0.53),P<0.00001],increase high density lipoprotein cholesterol[MD=0.28,95%CI(0.20,0.35),P<0.00001],the effective rate(P=0.06)and luteinizing hormone(P=0.07)in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome.[Conclusions]Tanshinone capsule could effectively improve the level of lipid metabolism and follicle stimulating hormone in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.Bing WEI Yi ZHANG Ningning ZHAO Shiying TANG 2020Medicinal Plant2020,11,2:1
16Down-staging depth score could be a survival predictor for locally advanced gastric cancer patients after preoperative chemoradiotherapy显示文摘Objective:The predictive effect of preoperative chemoradiotherapy(CRT)is low and difficult in guiding individualized treatment.We examined a surrogate endpoint for long-term outcomes in locally advanced gastric cancer patients after preoperative CRT.Methods:From April 2012 to April 2019,95 patients with locally advanced gastric cancer who received preoperative concurrent CRT and who were enrolled in three prospective studies were included.All patients were stage T_(3/4) N_(+).Local control,distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS),disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)were evaluated.Clinicopathological factors related to long-term prognosis were analyzed using univariate and multivariate analyses.The down-staging depth score(DDS),which is a novel method of evaluating CRT response,was used to predict long-term outcomes.Results:The median follow-up period for survivors was 30 months.The area under the curve(AUC)of the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve predicted by the DDS was 0.728,which was better than the pathological complete response(pCR),histological response and ypN0.Decision curve analysis further affirmed that DDS had the largest net benefit.The DDS cut-off value was 4.pCR and ypN0 were associated with OS(P=0.026 and 0.049).Surgery and DDS are correlated with DMFS,DFS and OS(surgery:P=0.001,<0.001 and<0.001,respectively;and DDS:P=0.009,0.013 and 0.032,respectively).Multivariate analysis showed that DDS was an independent prognostic factor of DFS(P=0.021).Conclusions:DDS is a simple,short-term indicator that was a better surrogate endpoint than pCR,histological response and ypN0 for DFS.Ning Li Xin Wang Yuan Tang Dongbin Zhao Yihebali Chi Lin Yang Liming Jiang Jun Jiang Jinming Shi Wenyang Liu Hua Ren Hui Fang Yu Tang Bo Chen Ningning Lu Hao Jing Shunan Qi Shulian Wang Yueping Liu Yongwen Song Yexiong Li Jing Jin 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4:1

18Flexible multilayer lead-free film capacitor with high energy storage performances via heterostructure engineering显示文摘The immense potential of flexible energy storage materials applied in wearable electronic devices hasstimulated a lot of science researches on manufacturing technology and performance optimization.Herein, an all-inorganic flexible ferroelectric film with multilayer heterostructure is prepared based onMn doped Bi0.5Na0.5TiO_(3)eBiNi0.5Zr0.5O_(3) (Mn:BNT-BNZ) and Bi0.5Na0.5TiO_(3)eBiZn0.5Zr0.5O_(3) (BNT-BZZ)relaxor ferroelectrics. A win-win situation of breakdown strength and polarization is achieved in theMn:BNT-BNZ/BNT-BZZ multilayer film with the stacking period N - 3, of which energy density and ef-ficiency reach 80.4 J/cm3 and 62.0% respectively. It is proposed that the excellent energy storage per-formances are attributed to the synergistic effect of the electric field amplification effect, interfaceblocking effect and the polarization coupling effect based on the multilayer heterostructure. Moreover,the flexible ferroelectric film exhibits outstanding temperature (25e205 - C), frequency (0.5e5 kHz)stability and antifatigue property (1 108 cycles), and can well maintain stable performance at differenttensile/compressive bending radii (10e5 mm) and even after 104 bending cycles with a fixed bendingradius of 3 mm. 20Effects of Dihydromyricetin Extracted from Ampelopsis grossedentata on Visceral Organ Indexes and Intestinal Digestive Enzyme Activities of Chickens显示文摘To provide a reference basis for reasonable development and utilization of Ampelopsis grossedentata resource and its application in production,we added 0.025%,0.05% and 0.1% dihydromyricetin(DMY)extracted from A.grossedentata into the basal diets of Yaoshan chickens,and studied the effects of DMY on visceral organ indexes and digestive enzyme activities of 40-day-old healthy Yaoshan chickens.Supplementation of DMY in basal diets influenced visceral organ weight,organ index,length and digestive enzyme activity of small intestine of chickens.Among them,0.05% DMY was the most appropriate volume for supplementation.Compared with control group(without DMY),0.05% DMY reduced lung weight and index(P>0.05),significantly reduced liver weight(P<0.05),extremely reduced stomach weight and stomach index(P<0.01),increased activity of amylase in small intestine(P>0.05),significantly increased length of small intestine and activity of protease(P<0.05).Supplementation of 0.05% DMY reduced the visceral organ weight and organ index,enhanced digestion and absorption ability of gastrointestinal tract,thereby improving feed utilization rate and promoting the growth of chickens.Dai Qing Yu Jianping Yu Lina Han Ningning Xu Yuan Zhao Hui 2016Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2016,8,3:1
