The Qitai radio telescope显示文摘This study presents a general outline of the Qitai radio telescope(QTT)project.Qitai, the site of the telescope,is a county of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, located in the east Tianshan Mountains at an elevation of about 1800 m.The QTT is a fully steerable,Gregorian-type telescope with a standard parabolic main reflector of 110 m diameter. The QTT has adopted an umbrella support,homology-symmetric lightweight design. The main reflector is active so that the deformation caused by gravity can be corrected. The structural design aims to ultimately allow high-sensitivity observations from 150 MHz up to115 GHz.To satisfy the requirements for early scientific goals, the QTTwill be equipped with ultra-wideband receivers and large field-of-view multi-beam receivers.A multi-function signal-processing system based on RFSo C and GPU processor chips will be developed. These will enable the QTT to operate in pulsar, spectral line, continuum and Very Long Baseline Interferometer(VLBI)observing modes.Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)and radio frequency interference(RFI)control techniques are adopted throughout the system design. The QTT will form a world-class observational platform for the detection of lowfrequency(nano Hertz)gravitational waves through pulsar timing array(PTA)techniques, pulsar surveys, the discovery of binary black-hole systems, and exploring dark matter and the origin of life in the universe. The QTT will also play an important role in improving the Chinese and international VLBI networks, allowing high-sensitivity and high-resolution observations of the nuclei of distant galaxies and gravitational lensing systems.Deep astrometric observations will also contribute to improving the accuracy of the celestial reference frame.Potentially, the QTT will be able to support future space activities such as planetary exploration in the solar system and to contribute to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. | Na Wang Qian Xu Jun Ma Zhiyong Liu Qi Liu Hailong Zhang Xin Pei Maozheng Chen Richard N.Manchester Kejia Lee Xingwu Zheng Hans J.Kärcher Wulin Zhao Hongwei Li Dongwei Li Martin Süss Matthias Reichert Zhongyi Zhu Congsi Wang Mingshuai Li Rui Li Ning Li Guljaina Kazezkhan Wenming Yan Gang Wu Lang Cui Ming Zhang Haitao Li | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,8: | 14
Object tracking based on particle filter with discriminative features显示文摘This paper presents a particle filter-based visual tracking method with online feature selection mechanism. In color-based particle filter algorithm the weights of particles do not always represent the importance correctly, this may cause that the object tracking based on particle filter converge to a local region of the object. In our proposed visual tracking method, the Bhattacharyya distance and the local discrimination between the object and background are used to define the weights of the particles, which can solve the existing local convergence problem. Experiments demonstrates that the proposed method can work well not only in single object tracking processes but also in multiple similar objects tracking processes. | Yunji ZHAO Hailong PEI | 2013 | 控制理论与应用(英文版)2013,11,1: | 8
Chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitative analysis for the quality evaluation of Xinkeshu tablet显示文摘A simple, sensitive and accurate method based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detector (DAD) was developed and validated for systematic quality evaluation of one type of traditional Chinese medicine preparations named Xinkeshu (XKS) tablet. In this study, the chromatographic fingerprints of XKS tablet were developed first, 23 peaks were selected as the common peaks to evaluate the similarities among different batches of XKS samples, which were manufactured in a long time span of three years. Additionally, simultaneous quantification of six markers in XKS tablet, including Danshensu, Protocatechuic aldehyde, Puerarin, Daidzin, Salvianolic acid B and Daidzein, was performed. The validation results showed that the developed method was specific, accurate, precise and robust. The preliminary explanation on why a close similarity between fingerprints did not exactly mean similar contents of chemical components in samples was given. The contribution of each chromatographic peak to similarity was also evaluated. The developed method offers an efficient, reliable and practical approach for systematic quality evaluation of XKS tablet. | Pei Wang Lian Li Hailong Yang Shijuan Cheng Yingzi Zeng Lei Nie Hengchang Zang | 2012 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2012,2,6: | 5
Effect of Li content on the microstructure and properties of lead-free piezoelectric(K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))_(1-x)Li_xNbO_3 ceramics prepared by SPS显示文摘Lead-free piezoelectric(K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))_(1-x)Li_xNbO_3(x=0at%-20at%)ceramics were synthesized by spark plasma sintering(SPS) at low temperature and the effects of LiNbO_3 addition on its crystal structure and properties were also studied. When the Li content was less than 6at%,a single proveskite phase with the similar structure of(K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))NbO_3 was formed;and a secondary phase with K_3Li_2Nb_5O_(15) structure was observed in the 6at%≤x≤20at% compositional range.Furthermore,LiNbO_3 existed as the third phase when the Li content was higher than 8at%.The grain sizes increased from 200-500 nm to 5-8μm when the K_3Li_2Nb_5O_(15) and LiNbO_3 like phases were formed. With increasing Li content, the relative density of the ceramics first decreased from 97% to 93% and then kept constant. The piezoelectric coefficient d_(33),dielectric constant, and planner electromechanical coupling factor exhibited a de- creasing tendency with increasing Li content because of the decrease in density and the formation of the secondary phase such as K_3Li_2Nb_5O_(15) and LiNbO_3.The formation of dense microstructure with a single phase is necessary in improving the properties of the (K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))_(1-x)Li_xNbO_3 ceramics. | Pei Zhao Boping Zhang Ke Wang Limin Zhang Hailong Zhang | 2008 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,3: | 3
Ecological principle meets cancer treatment: treating children with acute myeloid leukemia with low-dose chemotherapy显示文摘Standard chemotherapy regimens for remission induction of pediatric acute myeloid leukemia(AML) are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. We performed a cohort study to determine the impact of reducing the intensity of remission induction chemotherapy on the outcomes of selected children with AML treated with a low-dose induction regimen plus granulocyte colony stimulating factor(G-CSF)(low-dose chemotherapy(LDC)/G-CSF). Complete response(CR) after two induction courses was attained in 87.0%(40/46) of patients receiving LDC/G-CSF. Post-remission therapy was offered to all patients, and included standard consolidation and/or stem cell transplantation. During the study period, an additional 94 consecutive children with AML treated with standard chemotherapy(SDC) for induction(80/94(85.1%) of the patients attained CR after induction Ⅱ, P = 0.953) and post-remission. In this non-randomized study, there were no significant differences in 4-year event-free(67.4 vs. 70.7%;P = 0.99)and overall(70.3 vs. 74.6%, P = 0.69) survival in the LDC/G-CSF and SDC cohorts, respectively. After the first course of induction, recovery of white blood cell(WBC) and platelet counts were significantly faster in patients receiving LDC/G-CSF than in those receiving SDC(11.5 vs. 18.5 d for WBCs(P < 0.001);15.5 vs. 22.0 d for platelets(P < 0.001)). To examine the quality of molecular response, targeted deep sequencing was performed. Of 137 mutations detected at diagnosis in 20 children who attained hematological CR after two courses of LDC/G-CSF(n = 9) or SDC(n = 11), all of the mutations were below the reference value(variant allelic frequency <2.5%) after two courses, irrespective of the treatment group. In conclusion, children with AML receiving LDC/G-CSF appear to have similar outcomes and mutation clearance levels, but significantly lower toxicity than those receiving SDC. Thus, LDC/G-CSF should be further evaluated as an effective alternative to remission induction in pediatric AML. | Yixin Hu Aili Chen Xinchang Zheng Jun Lu Hailong He Jin Yang Ya Zhang Pinpin Sui Jingyi Yang Fuhong He Yi Wang Peifang Xiao Xin Liu Yinmei Zhou Deqing Pei Cheng Cheng Raul C. | 6 | OGT Mediated Histone H2B S112 Glc NAcylation Regulates DNA Damage Response显示文摘O-GlcNAcylation is an important post-translational modification and has been implicated in many fundamental cellular processes. Recent studies showed that O-linked N-acetylglucosamine(GlcNAc) transferase(OGT) mediated O-Glc NAcylation of histone H2B Ser 112(H2B S112 Glc NAcylation) plays an important role in gene transcription. However, the role of this histone modification in DNA damage response has not been studied yet. In this study, we found that OGT and OGT mediated H2B S112 Glc NAcylation are involved in DNA damage response for maintaining genomic stability and are required for resistance to many DNA-damaging and replication stressinducing agents. OGT mediated H2B S112 GlcNAcylation increased locally upon the induction of double-strand breaks(DSBs), and depletion of OGT or overexpression of H2B S112A mutant impaired homologous recombination(HR) and nonhomologous end-joining(NHEJ). Mechanistically, H2B S112 GlcNAcylation could bind Nijmegen breakage syndrome 1(NBS1) and regulate NBS1 foci formation. Taken together, our results demonstrate a new function of histone O-GlcNAcylation in DNA damage response(DDR). | Panfei Wang Changmin Peng Xia Liu Hailong Liu Yali Chen Li Zheng Baolin Han Huadong Pei | 2015 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2015,42,9: | 3
Parameter Identification of JONSWAP Spectrum Acquired by Airborne LIDAR显示文摘In this study, we developed the first linear Joint North Sea Wave Project(JONSWAP) spectrum(JS), which involves a transformation from the JS solution to the natural logarithmic scale. This transformation is convenient for defining the least squares function in terms of the scale and shape parameters. We identified these two wind-dependent parameters to better understand the wind effect on surface waves. Due to its efficiency and high-resolution, we employed the airborne Light Detection and Ranging(LIDAR) system for our measurements. Due to the lack of actual data, we simulated ocean waves in the MATLAB environment, which can be easily translated into industrial programming language. We utilized the Longuet-Higgin(LH) random-phase method to generate the time series of wave records and used the fast Fourier transform(FFT) technique to compute the power spectra density. After validating these procedures, we identified the JS parameters by minimizing the mean-square error of the target spectrum to that of the estimated spectrum obtained by FFT. We determined that the estimation error is relative to the amount of available wave record data. Finally, we found the inverse computation of wind factors(wind speed and wind fetch length) to be robust and sufficiently precise for wave forecasting. | YU Yang PEI Hailong XU Chengzhong | 2017 | Journal of Ocean University of China2017,16,6: | 1

A corridor-based flight mode transition strategy for agile ducted-fan tail-sitter UAV:Altitude-hold transition显示文摘As an attractive transition approach, the altitude-hold transition is a special type of super-maneuvering and the vertical/horizontal flight mode transition that an agile aircraft conducts at fixed altitude. However,it is still challenging to implement an autonomous control of the altitude-hold transition while the existing optimal transition planning methods cannot avoid an evident altitude change during the transition process. This paper proposes a corridor-based flight mode transition strategy and presents a successful flight demonstration of the altitude-hold transition on a small ducted-fan tail-sitter unmanned aerial vehicle. In the proposed corridor-based methodology,we model and analyze the transition corridor, concentrate on the dynamic characteristics of the altitude-hold transition, and emphasize that a valid transition trajectory should be governed by its transition corridor. The identified transition corridor reveals that for a given velocity trajectory, the solution for the corresponding trajectories of pitch angle and thrust is unique.Based on this, the transition trajectory generation problem is addressed simply on the velocity-acceleration plane.Furthermore,a proper flight control scheme is devised to track the generated transition trajectories. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through practical flight tests,in which the altitude change is less than 1.1 m during the entire transition course. | Zihuan CHENG Hailong PEI | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,9: | 0
Design of Yaw Controller for a Small Unmanned Helicopter Based on Improved ADRC显示文摘Yaw control is signi¯cant to the attitude control of small unmanned helicopters(SUHs).Since the existing robust control method cannot be applied to the SUH with unknown dynamics and disturbances, this paper proposes an improved active disturbance rejection control(IADRC)to solve the problem. The IADRC obtains the optimal solution of the actuator gain(b0)by gradient descent.Besides, this paper summarizes some experiences during the tuning process of ADRC,which signi¯cantly reduces the di±culty of designing ADRC.Finally, the experimental results show that the proposed method is better than the traditional PID in robust and tracking control performance. | Linjie Huang Hailong Pei | 2021 | Guidance, Navigation and Control2021,1,4: | 0

The role of bacteria and its derived biomaterials in cancer radiotherapy显示文摘Bacteria-mediated anti-tumor therapy has received widespread attention due to its natural tumor-targeting ability and specific immune-activation characteristics. It has made significant progress in breaking the limitations of monotherapy and effectively eradicating tumors, especially when combined with traditional therapy, such as radiotherapy.According to their different biological characteristics, bacteria and their derivatives can not only improve the sensitivity of tumor radiotherapy but also protect normal tissues. Moreover, genetically engineered bacteria and bacteria-based biomaterials have further expanded the scope of their applications in radiotherapy. In this review,we have summarized relevant researches on the application of bacteria and its derivatives in radiotherapy in recent years, expounding that the bacteria, bacterial derivatives and bacteria-based biomaterials can not only directly enhance radiotherapy but also improve the anti-tumor effect by improving the tumor microenvironment(TME)and immune effects.Furthermore, some probiotics can also protect normal tissues and organs such as intestines from radiation via anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidation and apoptosis inhibition. In conclusion, the prospect of bacteria in radiotherapy will be very extensive, but its biological safety and mechanism need to be further evaluated and studied. | Yu Zhang Ruizhe Huang Yunchun Jiang Wenhao Shen Hailong Pei Guanglin Wang Pei Pei Kai Yang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,10: | 0
3-72 Biological Effects of Space Radiation on Human Quiescent Fibroblasts显示文摘Health risk associated with exposure to high-charge and -energy (HZE) particles in outer space has been discusseda lot mainly because its accurate assessment is complex and multifactorial[1??3]. Exponentially growing cells are themost widely used in vitro model for risk assessment. However, majority of the cells in human body stay quiescent(in G0 phase) even though some cells, such as liver cells and stem cells, can resume cell cycle and enter G1 phase inresponse to exogenous stimuli such as injury[4]. Therefore, it is reasonable to use G0 cells as an in vitro experimentalmodel for risk assessment of space radiation. | Ding Nan Pei Hailong He Jinpeng Li He Hu Wentao Wang Jufang Zhou Guangming | 2014 | IMP & HIRFL Annual Report2014,,1: | 0
Anti-windup-based Dynamic Controller Synthesis for Lipschitz Systems under Actuator Saturation显示文摘This paper presents a new method for simultaneous synthesis of dynamic controller and static anti-windup compensator for saturated Lipschitz systems. Thanks to the reformulated Lipschitz property, the Lipschitz systems can be transformed into LPV(linear parameter-varying) systems whose system matrices are affine in a parameter matrix. Based on the modified sector condition dealing with saturation nonlinearity, the design of a nonlinear anti-windup-based controller leads to the solvability of a set of bilinear matrix inequalities(BMI) on the vertices of a bounded convex set which can be solved by the so-called iterative linear matrix inequality(ILMI) algorithm. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. | Naizhou Wang Hailong Pei Yong Tang | 2015 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2015,2,4: | 0
The clinical prospect of FLASH radiotherapy显示文摘FLASH radiotherapy(FLASH-RT)is a new strategy for tumor treatment with an ultra-high dose rate of more than 40 Gy/s.Compared with conventional radiotherapy(CONV-RT),FLASH-RT has no different inhibitory effects on tumors but less damage to normal tissues, which is called the“spare”effect. The“spare”effect triggers our exploration of the great prospect of subverting conventional radiotherapy and its intricate mechanisms.Mitochondrial homeostasis, the immune microenvironment,or DNA integrity may potentially represent the primary breakthrough direction in understanding the mechanisms.Concurrently,it is imperative to advance timely clinical translation efforts.Clinical trials of FLASH-RT have progressed to Phase II in both the United States and Switzerland, with current findings suggesting that FLASH-RT achieves comparable efficacy to CONV-RT while mitigating side effects in select cancer cell types. While summarizing the existing FLASH experiments, this paper emphasizes the significance of clinical transformation and the challenges that will be faced and proposes possible solutions. | Jiyuan Liu Guangming Zhou Hailong Pei | 2023 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,4: | 0
