2Effect of catgut implantation at acupoints on GABA_B and mGluR1 expressions in brain stem of rats with spasticity after stroke显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of catgut implantation at acupoints on the expressions of γ-amino butyric acid B receptor(GABAB ) and metabotropic glutamate receptor 1(mGluR1) in the brain stem of rats with spasticity after stroke.METHODS: In total, 60 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups: a sham group(n=10), a model group(n=25) and a treatment group(n=25). The rats in both the model group and the treatment group were subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion to establish a model of focal cerebral ischemia. Rats with limb-spasm met the inclusion criteria. Only the left carotid artery was isolated in sham group rats. Three days after modeling, the treatment group was subjected to catgut implantation at Dazhui(GV 14), Guanyuan(CV 4), and Zhongwan(CV 12). Neurological deficit symptoms were assessed with the Zea-Longa neurological deficit score. The Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS), and isolated muscle tone were used to evaluate spasticity before and after treatment. Immunohistochemistry was applied to determine the expression of GABAB and mGluR1 in the rat brain stem after treatment.RESULTS: After treatment, neural impairment symptoms had significantly improved in the treatment group when compared to the model group(P<0.05). Both MAS and isolated muscle tone in the treatment group were significantly decreased when compared with the model group(P<0.05),and were also lower than before treatment. GABAB expression was significantly higher and mGluR1 was lower in the treatment group when compared with the model group(P<0.01 and P<0.05, respectively).CONCLUSION: Catgut implantation at Dazhui(GV 14), Guanyuan(CV 4), and Zhongwan(CV 12), can relieve limb spasticity by increasing the expression of GABAB and reducing the expression of mGluR1 in the brain stem of rats after stroke.Chengmei Liu Ruiqing Li Xiaolei Song Xiaodong Feng 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,5:14

4Melanin nanoparticles alleviate sepsis-induced myocardial injury by suppressing ferroptosis and inflammation显示文摘Myocardial injury as one of the severe complications leads to the increasing morbidity and mortality in patients with sepsis.Recent studies reported that reactive oxygen species(ROS)-mediated ferroptosis plays a critical role in the development of heart diseases.Therefore,we hypothesized that anti-ferroptosis agent might be a novel potential therapeutic strategy for sepsis-induced cardiac injury.Herein,we demonstrated that a small biocompatible and MRI-visible melanin nanoparticles(MMPP)improves myocardial function by inhibiting ROS-related ferroptosis signaling pathway.In LPS-induced murine sepsis model,after a single dose intravenously injection of MMPP treatment,MMPP markedly alleviated the myocardial injury including cardiac function and heart structure disorder through suppressing iron-accumulation induced ferroptosis.In vitro,MMPP inhibited cardiomyocyte death by attenuating oxidative stress,inflammation and maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis.Collectively,our findings demonstrated that MMPP protected heart against sepsis-induced myocardial injury via inhibiting ferroptosis and inflammation,which might be a novel therapeutic approach in future.Chang Liu Quan Zou Huixin Tang Jia Liu Shiqi Zhang Caihong Fan Junwei Zhang Ruiqing Liu Yashan Liu Ruiyan Liu Yan Zhao Qiang Wu Zhi Qi Yanna Shen 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,6:5
5Autophagy receptor CCDC50 tunes the STING-mediated interferon response in viral infections and autoimmune diseases显示文摘DNA sensing and timely activation of interferon(IFN)-mediated innate immunity are crucial for the defense against DNA virus infections and the clearance of abnormal cells.However,overactivation of immune responses may lead to tissue damage and autoimmune diseases;therefore,these processes must be intricately regulated.STING is the key adaptor protein,which is activated by cyclic GMP-AMP,the second messenger derived from cGAS-mediated DNA sensing.Here,we report that CCDC50,a newly identified autophagy receptor,tunes STING-directed type I IFN signaling activity by delivering K63-polyubiquitinated STING to autolysosomes for degradation.Knockout of CCDC50 significantly increases herpes simplex virus 1(HSV-1)-or DNA ligand-induced production of type I IFN and proinflammatory cytokines.Ccdc50-deficient mice show increased production of IFN,decreased viral replication,reduced cell infiltration,and improved survival rates compared with their wild-type littermates when challenged with HSV-1.Remarkably,the expression of CCDC50 is downregulated in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),a chronic autoimmune disease.CCDC50 levels are negatively correlated with IFN signaling pathway activation and disease severity in human SLE patients.CCDC50 deficiency potentiates the cGAS-STING-mediated immune response triggered by SLE serum.Thus,our findings reveal the critical role of CCDC50 in the immune regulation of viral infections and autoimmune diseases and provide insights into the therapeutic implications of CCDC50 manipulation.Panpan Hou Yuxin Lin Zibo Li Ruiqing Lu Yicheng Wang Tian Tian Penghui Jia Xi Zhang Liu Cao Zhongwei Zhou Chunmei Li Jieruo Gu Deyin Guo 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,10:3

8Small-angle X-ray scattering investigation of aging behavior of Al-Cu-Mg-Ag alloys using synchrotron radiation显示文摘The aging behavior of Al-Cu-Mg-Ag alloys with high Cu/Mg was studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) using synchrotron radiation. TEM study reveals that the major strengthening phases of the alloy after aging at 160?C for 10 h are Ω and less θ′. SAXS study shows that the scattering patterns are composed of several concentric circles at the beginning of aging process, which is replaced by the butterfly-wings scattering patterns with the increase of aging time. The butterfly-wings scattering patterns are composed of several branches. The angles between the branches are roughly equal to that between the habit planes of precipitates. The evolution of Guinier radius with aging time indicates the good coarsening resistance of the precipitates. 9Ecosystem service valuation of bays in East China Sea and its response to sea reclamation activities显示文摘Ecosystem service values(ESVs)of bays and their response to sea reclamation are of great practical importance for forming bay eco-compensation policy and extension of blue economic space.Based on land use information of bays collected during the period of 1990–2015,the spatiotemporal evolution of ESVs of 12 main bays in East China Sea and their response to sea reclamation activities over the past 25 years were quantitatively analyzed.The analysis results indicate that ESVs of bays in East China Sea showed a continuous downward trend and the whole ecosystem was continuously degraded,in which the degradation degree of ESV in the southern bays was higher than that in the northern bays.Spatial zoning of ESVs of bays in East China Sea was remarkable,showing a continuous downward trend from low-value to high-value zone.Spatial variation of ESVs of each bay was also significant,expanding from a city and from inland to the coast,which suggests that human activities,mainly reclamation,have become main agents for ESV evolution of bays in East China Sea.ESVs of bays have a significant response to sea reclamation,manifested as a significant negative correlation between ESV and reclamation intensity.The correlation in the southern bays was stronger than that in the northern bays,which was caused by different effects of sea reclamation modes on ESV evolution of muddy and bedrock bays.A negative effect of sea reclamation activities on bay ecosystem was hysteretic.Therefore,an attention should be paid to dynamic monitoring and early warning of development status in offshore areas,ecosystem-level reclamation control policy,and coastal wetland reserves planning.Moreover,the spatial coupling mechanism study between bay ecosystem service demand and its service supply capacity should be strengthened to realize systematic regulation of bay ecological security pattern.LIU Ruiqing XU Hao LI Jialin PU Ruiliang SUN Chao CAO Luodan JIANG Yimei TIAN Peng WANG Lijia GONG Hongbo 2020Journal of Geographical Sciences2020,30,7:2

11Symptom clustering in chronic gastritis based on spectral clustering显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Apply spectral clustering to analyze the patterns of symptoms in patients with chronic gastritis(CG).METHODS: Based on 919 CG subjects, we applied mutual information feature selection to choose the positively correlated symptoms with each pattern.Then, we used the Shi and Malik spectral clustering algorithm to select the top 20 correlated symptoms.RESULTS: We ascertained the results of six patterns.There were three categories for the pattern of accumulation of damp heat in the spleen-stomach(0.00332). There were six categories for the pattern of dampness obstructing the spleen-stomach(0.02466). There were two categories for the pattern of spleen-stomach Qi deficiency(0.013 89).There were three categories for the pattern of spleen-stomach deficiency cold(0.009 15). There were five categories for the pattern of liver-Qistagnation(0.01910).There were four categories for the pattern of stagnant heat in the liver-stomach(0.00585).CONCLUSION: Most of the spectral clustering results of the symptoms of CG patterns were in accordance with clinical experience and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. 15Self-extinguishing and transparent epoxy resin modified by a phosphine oxide-containing bio-based derivative显示文摘A phosphine oxide-containing bio-based curing agent was synthesized by addition reaction between furan derivatives and diphenylphosphine oxide.The molecular structure of the as-prepared bio-based curing agent was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.Dynamic mechanical analysis results indicated that with the increase of bio-based curing agent content,the glass transition temperature of epoxy/bio-based curing agent composites decreased,which was related to the steric effect of diphenylphosphine oxide species that possibly hinder the curing reaction as well as the reduction in the cross-linking density by mono-functional N-H.By the addition of 7.5 wt-%bio-based curing agent,the resulting epoxy composite achieved UL-94 V-0 rating,in addition to limiting oxygen index of 32.0 vol-%.With the increase of content for the bio-based curing agent,the peak of heat release rate and total heat release of the composites gradually decreased.The bio-based curing agent promoted the carbonization of the epoxy matrix,leading to higher char yield with good thermal resistance.The high-quality char layer served as an effective barrier to retard the diffusion of decomposition volatiles and oxygen between molten polymers and the flame.This study provides a renewable strategy for fabricating flame retardant and transparent epoxy thermoset.Gang Tang Ruiqing Zhao Dan Deng Yadong Yang Depeng Chen Bing Zhang Xinliang Liu Xiuyu Liu 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,5:1

20Field Evaluation of a Duplex RT-RAA Assay for Rapid Detection of SARS-CoV-2--Hebei Province,China,January 2021显示文摘Introduction:Recently,a local cluster epidemic has occurred in Shijiazhuang City,Hebei Province.Failure to promptly identify patients with fever in rural areas was the major reason for this epidemic.Methods:We presented the field evaluation of a new real-time reverse transcription recombinase-aided amplification(RT-RAA)kit incorporating an endogenous internal control in a single-tube format,completed at the Hebei CDC from January 17,2021 to January 27,2021.Results:We evaluated the diagnostic performance of RT-RAA assay using automatic extracted RNA of 808 clinical samples.Compared with reverse transcriptase real-time quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR),RT-RAA kit achieved 92.41%sensitivity,98.78%specificity and a 96.29%coincidence rate,demonstrating an excellent agreement between the RTRAA assay and qRT-PCR assay.Furthermore,58 samples were extracted using a manual extraction method within 5 minutes,but only samples with high nucleic acid concentration(cycle threshold value not higher than 32)could be stably detected.Discussion:The RT-RAA is more suitable to meet the needs of rapid,sensitive,and accurate detection in community-level medical institutions.Ruiqing Zhang Shunxiang Qi Jiandong Li Shiyou Liu Guangyue Han Xinxin Shen Qi Li Wenbo Xu Xuejun Ma 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,23:1
