| 1 | The inflammatory microenvironment and the urinary microbiome in the initiation and progression of bladder cancer显示文摘Accumulating evidence suggests that chronic inflammation may play a critical role in various malignancies, including bladder cancer. This hypothesis stems in part from inflammatory cells observed in the urethral microenvironment.Chronic inflammation may drive neoplastic transformation and the progression of bladder cancer by activating a series of in-flammatory molecules and signals.Recently,it has been shown that the microbiome also plays an important role in the development and progression of bladder cancer, which can be mediated through the stimulation of chronic inflammation. In effect, the urinary microbiome can play a role in establishing the inflammatory urethral microenvironment that may facilitate the development and progression of bladder cancer. In other words, chronic inflammation caused by the urinary microbiome may promote the initiation and progression of bladder cancer. Here,we provide a detailed and comprehensive account of the link between chronic inflammation, the microbiome and bladder cancer. Finally,we highlight that targeting the urinary microbiome might enable the development of strategies for bladder cancer prevention and personalized treatment. | Xingxing Huang Ting Pan Lili Yan Ting Jin Ruonan Zhang Bi Chen Jiao Feng Ting Duan Yu Xiang Mingming Zhang Xiaying Chen Zuyi Yang Wenzheng Zhang Xia Ding Tian Xie Xinbing Sui | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,6: | 1 |
| 2 | 自上而下和自下而上相结合提高大规模生态修复规划的实用性和效率——来自社会生态系统的启示显示文摘Ecological restoration policies and their implementation are influenced by ecological and socioeconomic drivers.Top-down approach-based spatial planning, emphasizing hierarchical control within government structures, and without a comprehensive consideration of social–ecological interactions may result in implementation failure and low efficiency.Although many researchers have indicated the necessity to engage social–ecological interactions between stakeholders in effective planning processes, socioeconomic drivers of ecological restoration on a large scale are difficult to quantify because of data scarcity and knowledge limitations. Here,we established a new ecological restoration planning approach linking a social–ecological system framework to large-scale ecological restoration planning. The new spatial planning approach integrates bottom-up approaches targeting stakeholder interests and provides social considerations for stakeholder behavior analysis.Based on this approach,a meta-analysis is introduced to recognize key socioeconomic and social–ecological factors influencing large-scale ecological restoration implementation, and a stochastic model is constructed to analyze the impact of socioeconomic drivers on the behavior of authorities and participants on a large scale. We used the Yangtze River Basin-based Conversion of Cropland to Forest Program(CCFP),one of the largest payments for ecosystem service programs worldwide,to quantify the socioeconomic impacts of large-scale ecological restoration programs.Current CCFP planning without socioeconomic considerations failed to achieve large-scale program goals and showed low investment efficiency, with 19.71% of the implemented area reconverting to cropland after contract expiry. In contrast, spatial matching between planned and actual restoration increased from 61.55% to 81.86% when socioeconomic drivers were included. In addition, compared to that with the current CCFP implementation, the cost effectiveness of spatial planning with social considerations improved by 46.94%.Thus,spatial optimization planning that integrates both top-down and bottom-up approaches can result in more practical and effective ecological restoration than top-down approaches alone. Our new approach incorporates socioeconomic factors into large-scale ecological restoration planning with high practicality and efficiency. | Zhaowei Ding Hua Zheng Jun Wang Patrick O’Connor Cong Li Xiaodong Chen Ruonan Li Zhiyun Ouyang | 2023 | Engineering2023,31,12: | 0 |
| 3 | Differential regulation of JAK1 expression by ETS1 associated with predisposition to primary biliary cholangitis显示文摘Primary biliary cholangitis(PBC)is an autoimmune liver disease characterized by the destruction of intrahepatic small bile ducts and progressive cholestasis, eventually leading to liver cirrhosis and hepatic failure without appropriate treatment(Terziroli Beretta-Piccoli et al.,2019). | Peng Jiang Chan Wang Mingming Zhang Ye Tian Weifeng Zhao Junyi Xin Yexi Huang Zhibin Zhao Wenjuan Sun Jie Long Ruqi Tang Fang Qiu Xingjuan Shi Yi Zhao Li Zhu Na Dai Lei Liu Xudong Wu Jinshan Nie Bo Jiang Youlin Shao Yueqiu Gao Jianjiang Yu Zhigang Hu Zhidong Zang Yuhua Gong Yaping Dai Lan Wang Ningling Ding Ping Xu Sufang Chen Lu Wang Jing Xu Luyao Zhang Junyan Hong Ruonan Qian Hu Li Xuan Jiang Congwei Chen Wenyan Tian Jian Wu Yuzhang Jiang Chongxu Han Kui Zhang Hong Qiu Li Li Hong Fan Liming Chen Jianqiong Zhang Zhongsheng Sun Xiao Han Zhenhua Dai Erguang Li M.Eric Gershwin Zhexiong Lian Xiong Ma Michael F.Seldin Weichang Chen Meilin Wang Xiangdong Liu | 2023 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2023,50,10: | 0 |
| 4 | Super-elastic and mechanically durable MXene-based nanocomposite aerogels enabled by interfacial engineering with dual crosslinking strategy显示文摘Recently,MXenes have attracted considerable attention owing to their unique physical and chemical properties.Construction of MXenes to three-dimensional(3D)porous aerogel structures can play a critical role in realizing the profound implications of MXenes, especially for environmental remediation.Nevertheless, developing mechanically robust MXene-based aerogels with reversible compressibility under harsh conditions, such as liquid environments, remains challenging due to the insufficient interfacial strength between MXene nanosheets.Herein,3D porous MXene-based nanocomposite aerogels are developed by dual physical and chemical crosslinking strategy with poly(vinyl alcohol)and formaldehyde in this study. The developed MXenebased nanocomposite aerogels with designed interfacial engineering exhibit outstanding structural stability and extremely high reversible compressibility up to 98%strain as well as unprecedented mechanical durability(2000 cycles at 50%strain)in water environment. Moreover, the aerogels show adaptable compressibility when exposed to different solvents, which is explained with the Hansen solubility parameter. Thanks to their high compressibility in water, the robust MXene-based aerogels exhibit excellent methylene blue adsorption performance(adsorption capacity of 117.87 mg·g^(−1))and superior recycling efficiency(89.48%at the 3rd cycle). The porous MXene-based nanocomposite aerogels are also demonstrated with outstanding thermal insulation capability. Therefore,by synergistically taking their porous structure and super elasticity in liquid environment, the MXene-based aerogels show great promise in diverse applications including adsorption and separation, wastewater purification desalination, and thermal management. | Yan Sun Xin Yang Ruonan Ding Sung Yong Hong Jinwoo Lee Zongfu An Mei Wang Yifei Ma Jae-Do Nam Jonghwan Suhr | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 0 |
