| 1 | The seasonal dependence of cycle slip occurrence of GPS data over China low latitude region显示文摘The relationship of daily accumulated cycle slip occurrence with the season is analyzed using the GPS data observed in six GPS stations located in China low latitude region in 2001. It is found that the seasonal dependence of cycle slip oc-currence is evident. The cycle slip mainly occurs during the periods of two equinox months (March to May and September to October), and some correlative changes of the cycle slip occurrences over all six stations are exhibited in some special days. | 2 | Donepezil,a drug for Alzheimer’s disease,promotes oligodendrocyte generation and remyelination显示文摘Myelin sheaths play important roles in neuronal functions.In the central nervous system(CNS),the myelin is formed by oligodendrocytes(OLs),which are differentiated from oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs).In CNS demyelinating disorders such as multiple sclerosis(MS),the myelin sheaths are damaged and the remyelination process is hindered.Small molecule drugs that promote OPC to OL differentiation and remyelination may provide a new way to treat these demyelinating diseases.Here we report that donepezil,an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor(AChEI)developed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease(AD);significantly promotes OPC to OL differentiation.Interestingly,other AChEls,including huperzine A,rivastigmine,and tacrine,have no such effect indicating that donepezil's effect in promoting OPC differentiation is not dependent on the inhibition of AChE.Donepezil also facilitates the formation of myelin sheaths in OPC-DRG neuron co-culture.More interestingly,donepezil also promotes the repair of the myelin sheaths in vivo and provides significant therapeutic effect in a cuprizone-mediated demyelination animal model.Donepezil is a drug that has been used to treat AD safely for many years;our findings suggest that it might be repurposed to treat CNS demyelinating diseases such as MS by promoting OPC to OL differentiation and remyelination. | Xue Cui Yu-e Guo Jia-hui Fang Chang-jie Shi Na Suo Ru Zhang Xin Xie | 2019 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2019,40,11: | 7 |

| 5 | Molecular evidence for natural hybridization between Sonneratia alba and S. griffithii显示文摘Interspecific hybridization has been frequently observed in the mangrove genus Sonneratia. However, no natural hybridization has been reported between Sonneratia alba and S. griffithii to date, despite their overlap-ping distribution in the coast of Andaman Sea. In this study, cysteine proteinase inhibitor gene (cpi) from the nuclear genome, and two intergenic spacers (trnL-trnF and trnV-trnM) from the chloroplast genome, were se-quenced to determine whether natural hybridization took place between the two species. Our results revealed two distinct types of cpi sequences from the putative hybrid matching those acquired from S. griffithii and S. alba, respectively. Sequencing of the chloroplast trnL-trnF and trnV-trnM regions showed that S. alba differed from S. griffithii by one nucleotide in each region, and the putative hybrid had the identical sequences with S. griffithii. | 6 | Generation of rat blood vasculature and hematopoietic cells in rat-mouse chimeras by blastocyst complementation显示文摘Interspecies chimera through blastocyst complementation could be an alternative approach to create human organs in animals by using human pluripotent stem cells.A mismatch of the major histocompatibility complex of vascular endothelial cells between the human and host animal will cause graft rejection in the transplanted organs.Therefore,to achieve a transplantable organ in animals without rejection,creation of vascular endothelial cells derived from humans within the organ is necessary.In this study,to explore whether donor xeno-pluripotent stem cells can compensate for blood vasculature in host animals,we generated rat-mouse chimeras by injection of rat embryonic stem cells(rESCs)into mouse blastocysts with deficiency of Flk-1 protein,which is associated with endothelial and hematopoietic cell development.We found that rESCs could differentiate into vascular endothelial and hematopoietic cells in the rat-mouse chimeras.The whole yolk sac(YS)of Flk-1^EGFP/ECFP rat-mouse chimera was full of rat blood vasculature.Rat genes related to vascular endothelial cells,arteries,and veins,blood vessels formation process,as well as hematopoietic cells,were highly expressed in the YS.Our results suggested that rat vascular endothelial cells could undergo proliferation,migration,and self-assembly to form blood vasculature and that hematopoietic cells could differentiate into B cells,T cells,and myeloid cells in rat-mouse chimeras,which was able to rescue early embryonic lethality caused by Flk-1 deficiency in mouse. | Xiaomin Wang Hui Shi Juanjuan Zhou Qingjian Zou Quanjun Zhang Shixue Gou Pengfei Chen Lisha Mou Nana Fan Yangyang Suo Zhen Ouyang Chengdan Lai Quanmei Yan Liangxue Lai | 2020 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2020,47,5: | 2 |
| 7 | Full-spectrum responsive photocatalytic activity via non-noble metal Bi decorated mulberry-like BiVO_(4)显示文摘Due to its appropriate bandgap(~2.4 e V)and efficient light absorption,bismuth vanadate(Bi VO_(4))shows promising photocatalysis activity.However,the charge carrier recombination and poor electron transmission often induce poor photocatalytic performance.Herein,we report a new method to in-situ synthesize non-noble metal Bi decorated mulberry-like Bi VO_(4)by a two-step calcination process.Comprehensive characterizations reveal that non-noble metal Bi nanoparticles grown in-situ on Bi VO_(4)result in the red-shift of the absorbance edge,greatly extending the light absorption from the ultraviolet into the near-infrared region.The surface plasmon resonance excitation of Bi nanoparticles and synergetic effects between Bi and Bi VO_(4)effectively improve the photocatalytic efficiency and promote the separation of photoinduced electron-hole pairs in mulberry-like Bi VO_(4).Density functional theory(DFT)calculation results further verify that the electrons are transferred from Bi to Bi VO_(4)and the formation of·OH radical in Bi/Bi VO_(4)is attributed to the lower simulated free energy,which supports our experimental outcomes.This work provides a novel strategy to enhance light absorption and promote efficient solar utilization of photocatalysts for practical applications. | Yaxin Bi Yanling Yang Xiao-Lei Shi Lei Feng Xiaojiang Hou Xiaohui Ye Li Zhang Guoquan Suo Siyu Lu Zhi-Gang Chen | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,24: | 2 |
