| 1 | 氮肥用量及其后效对棉花产量和生物质累积动态的影响显示文摘【目的】长江流域棉花适宜氮肥用量为300 kg·hm^(-2),在迟播高密度下可减少为225 kg·hm^(-2),而不影响产量。本研究旨在探讨迟播高密度下于见花期一次性施用氮肥,氮肥用量进一步减少的可行性、氮肥后效及其对棉花产量形成规律的影响。【方法】采用盆栽试验,2014年设5个氮肥水平(120、150、180、210、240 kg·hm^(-2)),2015年设置相同氮肥用量(180 kg·hm^(-2)),研究棉花生育进程、产量及其构成以及生物质累积动态。【结果】氮肥用量显著影响棉花生物质累积和产量而不影响生育进程,氮肥后效不明显。施氮量为180 kg·hm^(-2)时籽棉产量(30.5 g·plant^(-1))和铃重(3.8 g)最高,生物质累积量较大,且生物质快速累积期生殖器官生物量所占比例最大,为64.4%。【结论】在中等肥力棉田氮肥用量减为180 kg·hm^(-2)是可行的,因为其快速累积期生殖器官生物质累积强度增加。 | 宋兴虎 Tufail Ahmed Wagan Biangkham Souliyanonh Saif Ali 黄颖 袁源 杨国正 | 2018 | 棉花学报2018,30,2: | 34 |
| 2 | Quantitative analysis of cefixime via complexation with palladium(Ⅱ) in pharmaceutical formulations by spectrophotometry显示文摘An optimized and validated spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of cefixime in pharmaceutical formulations. The method is based on the complexation reaction between cefixime and palladium ion in the presence of acidic buffer solution (pH 3) in ethanol-distilled water medium at room temperature. The complex absorbed maximally at 352 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in the working concentration range of 2.5-35 μg/mL with apparent molar absorptivity of 1.015×104L/mol cm and Sandell's sensitivity of 0.001 μg/cm2 /0.001 absorbance unit. The limits of detection and quantitation for the proposed method are 0.175 and 0.583 μg/mL, respectively. The effect of common excipients used as additives has been studied in the determination of cefixime. The proposed method has been successfully applied for the determination of cefixime in pharmaceutical formulations. | 3 | Injection of biosurfactant and chemical surfactant following hot water injection to enhance heavy oil recovery显示文摘This study investigates the potential of enhancing oil recovery from a Middle East heavy oil field via hot water injection followed by injection of a chemical surfactant and/or a biosurfactant produced by a Bacillus subtilis strain which was isolated from oil-contaminated soil.The results reveal that the biosurfactant and the chemical surfactant reduced the residual oil saturation after a hot water flood.Moreover,it was found that the performance of the biosurfactant increased by mixing it with the chemical surfactant.It is expected that the structure of the biosurfactant used in this study was changed when mixed with the chemical surfactant as a probable synergetic effect of biosurfactant-chemical surfactants was observed on enhancing oil recovery,when used as a mixture,rather than alone.This work proved that it is more feasible to inject the biosurfactant as a blend with the chemical surfactant,at the tertiary recovery stage.This might be attributed to the fact that in the secondary mode,improvement of the macroscopic sweep efficiency is important,whereas in the tertiary recovery mode,the microscopic sweep efficiency matters mainly and it is improved by the biosurfactantchemical surfactant mixture.Also as evidenced by this study,the biosurfactant worked better than the chemical surfactant in reducing the residual heavy oil saturation after a hot water flood. | Yahya Al-Wahaibi Hamoud Al-Hadrami Saif Al-Bahry Abdulkadir Elshafie Ali Al-Bemani Sanket Joshi | 2016 | Petroleum Science2016,13,1: | 2 |

| 8 | The Enhancement of Soil Fertility,Dry Matter Transport and Accumulation,Nitrogen Uptake and Yield in Rice via Green Manuring显示文摘Readily available chemical fertilizers have resulted in a decline in the use of organic manure(e.g.,green manures),a traditionally sustainable source of nutrients.Based on this,we applied urea at the rate of 270 kg ha−1 with and without green manure in order to assess nitrogen(N)productivity in a double rice cropping system in 2017.In particular,treatment combinations were as follows:winter fallow rice-rice(WF-R-R),milk vetch rice-rice(MV-R-R),oil-seed rape rice-rice(R-R-R)and potato crop rice-rice(P-R-R).Results revealed that green manure significantly(p≤0.05)improved the soil chemical properties and net soil organic carbon content increased by an average 117.47%,total nitrogen(N)by 28.41%,available N by 26.64%,total phosphorus(P)by 37.77%,available P by 20.48%and available potassium(K)by 33.10%than WF-R-R,however pH was reduced by 3.30%across the seasons.Similarly,net dry matter accumulation rate enhanced in green manure applied treatments and ranked in order:P-R-R>R-R-R>MV-R-R>WF-R-R.Furthermore,the total leaf dry matter transport(t ha−1)for the P-R-R in both seasons was significantly higher by an average 11.2%,7.2%and 36%than MV-R-R,R-R-R,and WF-R-R,respectively.In addition,net total nitrogen accumulation(kg ha−1)was found higher in green manure applied plots compared to the control.Yield and yield attributed traits were observed maximum in green manure applied plots,with treatments ranking as follows:P-R-R>R-R-R>MV-R-R>WF-R-R.Thus,results obtained highlight ability of green manure to sustainably improve soil quality and rice yield. | Tianyuan Li Saif Ullah He Liang Izhar Ali Quan Zhao Anas Iqbal Shanqing Wei Tariq Shah Yuqiong Luo Ligeng Jiang | 2021 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,1: | 1 |

| 10 | The Effect of Injected Air Bubble Size on the Thermal Performance of a Vertical Shell and Helical Coiled Tube Heat Exchanger显示文摘In the present study,the effect of injecting air bubble size on the thermal performance of a vertical counter-current shell and coiled tube heat exchanger is experimentally investigated.The experiments were accomplished in a cylindrical shape heat exchanger with a 50 cm height and 15 cm outer diameter.Copper coil with 3.939 m equivalent length and 0.6 cm outer diameter was used to carry the hot fluid(water).Four different cold fluid(shell side)flow rates(Q_(s)=2;4;6 and 8 LPM)Þunder laminar flow conditions(316≤Re≤1223),constant hot(coil side)flow rate fluid rates(Q_(h)=1 LPM),four different injected air flow rates(Q_(a)=0:5;1;1:5 and 2 LPM),invariant temperature difference(ΔT=20°C),and constant bubble’s number(1400)were tested.To demonstrate the effect of bubble size,a sparger with orifice diameters of 0.1,0.8,and 1.5 mm was manufactured and used in the study.The overall heat transfer coefficient(U),NTU,effectiveness,and pressure loss were invested.The experimental results clearly showed that the heat exchanger’s thermal efficiency significantly improved with increasing the shell side flow rate and the injected air flow rate.The maximum improvement in U,NTU,and effectiveness was 153%,153%,and 68%,respectively.The thermal performance of the heat exchanger was shown to be improved with increasing the bubble size.Although the latter finding agrees with recent CFD published results,more studies need to be confirmed. | Saif S.Hasan Ali Sh.Baqir Hameed B.Mahood | 2021 | Energy Engineering2021,118,6: | 0 |

| 15 | Sustainability and virtual water:The lessons of history显示文摘This article aims to show that virtual water has historically been an adaptation strategy that enabled some arid regions to develop a prosperous economy without putting pressure on their scarce water resources.Virtual water is referred to as the total amount of water that is consumed to produce goods and services.As an example,in arid central Iran,the deficiency in agricultural revenues was offset by more investment in local industries that enjoyed a perennial capacity to employ more workers.The revenues of local industries weaned the population from irrigated agriculture,since most of their raw materials and also food stuff were imported from other regions,bringing a remarkable amount of virtual water.This virtual water not only sustained the region’s inhabitants,but also set the stage for a powerful polity in the face of a rapid population growth between the 13th and 15th centuries AD.The resultant surplus products entailed a vast and safe network of roads,provided by both entrepreneurs and government.Therefore,it became possible to import more feedstock such as cocoons from water-abundant regions and then export silk textiles with considerable value-added.This article concludes that a similar model of virtual water can remedy the ongoing water crisis in central Iran,where groundwater reserves are overexploited,and many rural and urban centers are teetering on the edge of socio-ecological collapse.History holds an urgent lesson on sustainability for our today’s policy that stubbornly peruses agriculture and other high-water-demand sectors in an arid region whose development has always been dependent on virtual water. | Majid Labbaf Khaneiki Abdullah Saif Al-Ghafri Björn Klöve Ali Torabi Haghighi | 2022 | Geography and Sustainability2022,3,4: | 0 |
