1Electrospun nanofibers as a wound dressing for treating diabetic foot ulcer显示文摘Diabetes is one of the most prevalent diseases in the world with high-mortality and complex complications including diabetic foot ulcer(DFU). It has been reported that the difficulties in repairing the wound related to DFU has much relationship with the wound infection,change of inflammatory responses, lack of extracellular matrix(ECM), and the failure of angiogenesis. Following the development of medical materials and pharmaceutical technology, nanofibers has been developed by electrospinning with huge porosity, excellent humidity absorption, a better oxygen exchange rate, and some antibacterial activities. That is to say, as a potential material, nanofibers must be a wonderful candidate for the DFU treatment with so many benefits. Careful selection of polymers from natural resource and synthetic resource can widen the nanofibrous application. Popular methods applied for the nanofibrous fabrication consist of uniaxial electrospinning and coaxial electrospinning. Furthermore, nanofibers loading chemical, biochemical active pharmaceutical ingredient(API)or even stem cells can be wonderful dosage forms for the treatment of DFU. 2Effect of Shengmai Yin on the DNA methylation status of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell and its radioresistant strains显示文摘Shengmai Yin(SMY)is a Chinese herbal decoction that effectively alleviates the side effects of radiotherapy in various cancers and helps achieve radiotherapy’s clinical efficacy.In this study,we explored the interaction mechanism among SMY,DNA methylation,and nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We identified differences in DNA methylation levels in NPC CNE-2 cells and its radioresistant cells(CNE-2R)using the methylated DNA immunoprecipitation array and found that CNE-2R cells showed genomewide changes in methylation status towards a state of hypomethylation.SMY may restore its original DNA methylation status,and thus,enhance radiosensitivity.Furthermore,we confirmed that the differential gene Tenascin-C(TNC)was overexpressed in CNE-2R cells and that SMY downregulated TNC expression.This downregulation of TNC inhibited NPC cell radiation resistance,migration,and invasion.Furthermore,we found that TNC was hypomethylated in CNE-2R cells and partially restored to a hypermethylated state after SMY intervention.DNA methyltransferases 3 a may be the key protein in DNA methylation of TNC.Shiya Liu Zhiyuan Wang Daoqi Zhu Jiabin Yang Dandan Lou Ruijiao Gao Zetai Wang Aiwu Li Ying Lv Qin Fan 2021Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,6:4
3Microbiologically influenced corrosion of Cu by nitrate reducing marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa显示文摘The microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC) mechanisms of copper by Pseudomonas aeruginosa as a typical strain of nitrate reducing bacteria(NRB) was investigated in this lab study.Cu was immersed in deoxygenated LB-NO3 seawater inoculated with P.aeruginosa and incubated for 2 weeks.Results showed that this NRB caused pitting and uniform corrosion.The maximum pit depths after 7 d and 14 d in125 mL anaerobic vials with 50 mL broth were 5.1 μm and 9.1 μm,accompanied by specific weight losses of 1.3 mg/cm2(7 d) and 1.7 mg/cm2(14 d),respectively.Electrochemical measurements corroborated weight loss and pit depth data trends.Experimental results indicated that extracellular electron transfer for nitrate reduction was the main MIC mechanism and ammonia secreted by P.aeruginosa could also play a role in the overall Cu corrosion process.Yanan Pu Wenwen Dou Tingyue Gu Shiya Tang Xiaomei Han 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,12:3
4Recent advances in fire-retardant carbon-based polymeric nanocomposites through fighting free radicals显示文摘Polymeric materials are ubiquitously utilized in modern society and continuously improve quality of life.Unfortunately,most of them suffer from intrinsic flammability,significantly limiting their practical applications.Fundamentally,free-radical reaction is a critical“trigger”for their thermal pyrolysis and following combustion process regardless of the anaerobic thermal pyrolysis in the condensed phase or aerobic combustion of polymers in the gaseous phase.The addition of free radical scavengers represents a promising and effective means to enhance the fire safety of polymeric materials.This review aims to offer a state-of-the-art overview on the creation of fire-retardant polymeric nanocomposites by adding fire retardants with an ability to trap free radicals.Their specific modes of action(condensed-phase action,gaseous-phase action,and dual-phases action)and performances in some typical polymers are reviewed and discussed in detail.Following this,some key challenges associated with these free-radical capturers are discussed,and design strategies are also proposed.This review provides some insights into the modes of action of free radical capturing agents and paves the avenue for the design of advanced fire-retardant polymeric nanocomposites for expanded real-world applications in industries.Ting Sai Shiya Ran Zhenghong Guo Pingan Song Zhengping Fang 2022SusMat2022,2,4:2
5Mechanistic study of copper-catalyzed intramolecular ortho-C-H activation/carbon-nitrogen and carbon-oxygen cyclizations显示文摘Intramolecular ortho-C-H activation and C-N/C-O cyclizations of phenyl amidines and amides have recently been achieved under Cu catalysis. These reactions provide important examples of Cu-catalyzed functionalization of inert C-H bonds, but their mechanisms remain poorly understood. In the present study the several possible mechanisms including electrophilic aromatic substitution, concerted metalation-deprotonation (CMD), Friedel-Crafts mechanism, radical mechanism, and protoncoupled electron transfer have been theoretically examined. Cu(Ⅱ)-assisted CMD mechanism is found to be the most feasible for both C-O and C-N cyclizations. This mechanism includes three steps, i.e. CMD with Cu(Ⅱ), oxidation of the Cu(Ⅱ) intermediate, and reductive elimination from Cu(Ⅲ). Our calculations show that Cu(Ⅱ) mediates the C-H activation through an six-membered ring CMD transition state similar to that proposed for many Pd-catalyzed C-H activation reactions. It is also interesting to find that the rate-limiting steps are different for C-N and C-O cyclizations: for the former it is concerted metalation-deprotonation with Cu(Ⅱ), whereas for the latter it is reductive elimination from Cu(Ⅲ). 12Multifunctional tubular carbon nanofibers/polyurethane electromagnetic wave absorber with room-temperature self-healing and recyclable performance显示文摘Incorporating self-healing and recyclable capabilities into microwave absorbing materials is expected to facilitate the life extension,cost reduction,and performance stability,thereby meeting the practical applications.In this research,a recycling and room-temperature self-healing electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorber is designed,in which linear polyurethane cross-linked by aromatic disulfide bonds is used as healable matrix,and tubular carbon nanofibers(TCNFs)are employed to attenuate microwave.The resultant composites with a TCNFs content of 7 wt.%harvest a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of−39.0 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 2.9 GHz at a matching thickness of 4.0 mm.Driven by the reversible dynamic bonds including hydrogen bonds and aromatic disulfide bonds,the high healing efficiency of 88.7%at 25°C and 93.2%at 60°C is presented.Impressively,even after three repairing cycles at room temperature,a healable efficiency of 86.4%is acquired,and RLmin can still reach−39.1 dB at the same thickness,together with an EAB of 3.0 GHz.Additionally,the results of solvent recycling experiment manifest that the recycled specimen achieves the almost similar mechanical and microwave dissipation properties as original one.These attractive characteristics make the designed self-healing and recyclable composites promising for next-generation EMW consumption devices.Shuai Kang Shiya Qiao Yutong Cao Zuming Hu Na Li Junrong Yu Yan Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:1
