1Germafluorene conjugated copolymer——synthesis and applications in blue-light-emitting diodes and host materials显示文摘A germafluorene-fluorene copolymer was successfully obtained via Suzuki polymerization.The ger-manium containing copolymer has an efficient blue light emission under the ultraviolet irradiation and its single layer EL device showed the highest brightness of 2630 cd/m2 at 7.8 V and the highest effi-ciency of 0.301 lm/W at 6.2 V.The copolymer can also serve as the host material for phosphorescent metal complexes with the maximum brightness of 15600 cd/m2 and the quantum efficiency of 8.5%.The results are quite promising and promise that as its analogs of fluorene and silafluorene,germafluorene is an excellent building block for blue light-emitting polymers and host materials.CHEN RunFeng ZHU Rui ZHENG Chao LIU ShuJuan FAN QuLi HUANG Wei 2009Science China Chemistry2009,52,2:12
2Design and synthesis of Al-MOF/PPSU mixed matrix membrane with pollution resistance显示文摘To enhance the performance of the polyphenylene sulfone(PPSU) membrane,a novel mixed matrix membrane with hydrophilicity and antifouling properties was prepared.Using PPSU as the ba sic membrane material,polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP) as the porogen,N-Methyl pyrrolidone(NMP) as the solvent,and MOF-CAU-1(Al_(4)(OH)_(2)(OCH_(3))_4(H_2 N-BDC)_(3)·xH_(2) O) as the filler,PPSU/CAU-1 mixed matrix membrane(MMM) was prepared by an immersion precipitation and phase transformation technique.By changing the amount of MOF-CAU-1,the properties and performance of the MMM membrane were investigated in terms of hydrophilicity,pore morphology,surface roughness,and dye removal.The results show that the highest pure water flux of the mixed reached 47.9 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1), when the CAU-1 addition amount was 1.0 wt%, which was 23% higher than that of the pure PPSU membrane.Both the rejection rate and the antifouling performance of the MMM membrane also noticeably improved.Shujuan Xiao Xiaowen Huo Shuxin Fan Kui Zhao Shouwu Yu Xiaoyao Tan 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,1:5
3Orthogonal-Gradient Measurement Matrix Construction Algorithm显示文摘An orthogonal-gradient measurement matrix construction algorithm is proposed for reducing the maximum and average mutual-coherence of sensing matrix. It shrinks Gram matrix based on equiangular tight frame theory. An orthogonal-gradient factor matrix is deduced. It obtains an optimized measurement matrix with the orthogonal-gradient factor matrix. The results of experiments show that the proposed algorithm effectively reduces the maximum and average mutual-coherence of sensing matrix. 4Cyclical helping hands: seasonal tailwinds differentially affect migrating Oriental Storks (Ciconia boyciana) travel speed显示文摘Background:The Oriental Stork(Ciconia boyciana)breeds in southeastern Siberia and parts of northeast China,and winters mainly in southeast China.Although the autumn migration pattern of Oriental Storks has been previ-ously described,differences between spring and autumn migration travel speed in relation to wind assistance were unknown.Methods:Using GPS/GSM transmitters,we tracked the full migrations of 18 Oriental Storks during 2015-2018 to compare differences in autumn and spring migration patterns,and combined the satellite telemetry data with the National Center for Environmental Prediction Reanalysis data to explain the relationship between 850 mbar wind vec-tors and seasonal differences in travel speed.Results:Differences in tailwinds contributed to significant differences in daily average Oriental Storks travel speed in spring(258.11±64.8 km/day)compared to autumn(172.23±49.7 km/day,p<0.001).Storks stopped significantly more often in autumn than spring(1.78±1.1 versus 1.06±0.9,p<0.05),but stopover duration(15.52±12.4 versus 16.30±15.1 days,respectively,p=0.3)did not differ significantly.Tailwinds at 850 mbar pressure level(extracted from the National Center of Environmental Prediction Reanalysis data archive)significantly affected daily flying speed dur-ing spring and autumn migration.Tailwind conditions in spring(mean 4.40±5.6 m/s)were always more favourable than in autumn when they received no net benefit(0.48±5.6 m/s,p<0.001).Despite mean spring migration dura-tion being less than autumn(27.52±15.9 versus 32.77±13.4 days,p=0.17),large individual variation meant that this duration did not differ significantly from each other.Conclusions:For long distance migratory soaring birds(such as storks),relative duration of spring and autumn migration likely relates to the interaction between imperative for earliest arrival to breeding grounds and seasonal meteorological conditions experienced en route.Shujuan Fan Qingshan Zhao Hongbin Li Baoguang Zhu Shubin Dong Yanbo Xie Lei Cao Anthony David Fox 2020Avian Research2020,11,2:2

7HBI1-TCP20 interaction positively regulates the CEPs-mediated systemic nitrate acquisition显示文摘Nitrate is the main source of nitrogen for plants but often distributed heterogeneously in soil.Plants have evolved sophisticated strategies to achieve adequate nitrate by modulating the root system architecture. The nitrate acquisition system is triggered by the short mobile peptides C-TERMINALLY ENCODED PEPTIDES(CEPs)that are synthesized on the nitrate-starved roots,but induce the expression of nitrate transporters on the other nitrate-rich roots through an unclear signal transduction pathway. Here,we demonstrate that the transcription factors HBI1 and TCP20 play important roles in plant growth and development in response to fluctuating nitrate supply. HBI1 physically interacts with TCP20, and this interaction was enhanced by the nitrate starvation. HBI1 and TCP20 directly bind to the promoters of CEPs and cooperatively induce their expression. Mutation in HBIs and/or TCP20 resulted in impaired systemic nitrate acquisition response. 10A novel numerical simulation method for predicting compressive properties of 3D multiaxial braided composites considering various defects显示文摘This paper reports a novel manufacturing process of preparing the Three-Dimensional Multiaxial Braided Composites(3DMBCs) and the effects of various defects generated in the manufacturing process on the compressive mechanical properties of 3DMBCs through the experimental and numerical methods. The five-step fabrication process of the 3D multiaxial braided preform was firstly introduced in detail. Then, the influences of various defects such as voids, waviness, and fiber breakage defects on the compressive properties of 3DMBCs were discussed. It is found that the fiber breakage defect and waviness defects were the two primary factors on the decrease of compressive properties of 3DMBCs. However, void defects in the resin and interface had little effect on the composites. When the fiber breakage defect content was 25% and the waviness was 7°, the composite compressive modulus decreased by 51%. 11Canonical Correlation Factors Causing the Formation of Accumulated Sand-belts along the Oasis Fringe in Hexi Corridor显示文摘Accumulated sand-belts refer to those formed along the oasis fringe,especially at the upwind location,due to the accumulation of sand blocked by farmland windbreak. In the 60 years since the foundation of new China,a lot of trees have been planted for desertification combating in northwest and north China,thus,accumulated sand-belts were formed at the upwind location. The formation and the ecological effects of the accumulated sand-belts along the oasis fringe is a new scientific concern. To study the formation causes of these belts in Hexi corridor,21 samples were selected,and the height / width of the belts,as well as the vegetation,soil,soil moisture and climatic factors were investigated. This paper analyzed the correlation between the height / width of the belts and the vegetation,soil,soil moisture and climatic factors using the methods of variance analysis,correlation analysis and canonical correlation analysis. The results indicate that: the accumulated sand-belts take a trend of being high and wide in the east whereas low and narrow in the west,and most of the parts tend to be stable; the species on the belts are dominated by Tamarix austromongolica,the vegetation cover and the pure vegetation cover of different dominant species on the leeward slope of the accumulated sand-belts vary significantly. The canonical correlation analysis shows that: the height and width of accumulated sand-belt is the interaction of precipitation,distance to the sand source,leeward vegetation cover and annual average wind speed. Moreover,the height of accumulated sand-belts are negatively correlated to the soil moisture at the depth of 30- 50 cm,air humidity and leeward vegetation cover,and the width of the belts is also negatively correlated with the distance to the sand source. The ecological effects of the accumulated sand-belts are both positive( stopping sands from moving into farmland,protective role as an obstacle)and negative( when the belts decay and activate one day,they will become the new sand sources). At present,there are no signs showing the negative effects of the belts. 12Ecological Effects of Accumulated Sand-belts along the Oasis Fringe in Hexi of Gansu显示文摘The accumulated sand-belts have formed along the oasis fringe,especially at the upwind areas of the desert area in Gansu Hexi of China during the process of desert control in recent 60 years. The accumulated sand-belt is a byproduct of desertification combating through afforestation and barriers-setting. This paper analyzed the data( including wind velocity / direction) of 21 sites on the accumulated sand-belt to evaluate its stability and ecological effects. The results showed that the accumulated sand-belt is in a stable state. It plays a significant role in weakening wind and this effect is enhanced with the increase of wind velocity. The height of accumulated sand-belt is an important factor characterizing its windproof function. When the wind velocity is higher than 2 m / s,the windproof area in the downwind places is 20 times greater than the height of the accumulated sand-belt. When the wind velocity is higher than 8 m / s,the wind velocity on the top of the accumulated sand-belt is less than that in the upwind open areas. When the air flow reaches the windward slope,its energy is released and reduced by uplifting along the slope and diversion towards the two wings. 13An ultra-thin piezoelectric nanogenerator with breathable,superhydrophobic,and antibacterial properties for human motion monitoring显示文摘Piezoelectric nanogenerators(PENGs)are promising for harvesting renewable and abundant mechanical energy with high efficiency.Up to now,published research studies have mainly focused on increasing the sensitivity and output of PENGs.The technical challenges in relation to practicability,comfort,and antibacterial performance,which are critically important for wearable applications,have not been well addressed.To overcome the limitations,we developed an all-nanofiber PENG(ANF-PENG)with a sandwich structure,in which the middle poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene(P(VDF-HFP))/ZnO electrospun nanofibers serve as the piezoelectric layer,and the above and below electrostatic direct-writing P(VDF-HFP)/ZnO nanofiber membranes with a 110 nm Ag layer on one side that was plated by vacuum coating technique serve as the electrode layer.As the ANF-PENG only has 91μm thick and does not need further encapsulating,it has a high air permeability of 24.97 mm/s.ZnO nanoparticles in ANF-PENG not only improve the piezoelectric output,but also have antibacterial function(over 98%).The multifunctional ANF-PENG demonstrates good sensitivity to human motion and can harvest mechanical energy,indicating great potential applications in flexible self-powered electronic wearables and body health monitoring.Wei Fan Cong Zhang Yang Liu Shujuan Wang Kai Dong Yi Li Fan Wu Junhao Liang Chunlan Wang Yingying Zhang 2023Nano Research2023,16,9:0

15SARS-CoV-2-specific antibody response characteristics in COVID-19 patients of different ages显示文摘Age has been found to be one of the main risk factors for the severity and outcome of COVID-19.However,differences in SARS-CoV-2 specific antibody responses among COVID-19 patients of different age groups remain largely unknown.In this study,we analyzed the IgG/IgM responses to 21 SARS-CoV-2 proteins and 197 peptides that fully cover the spike protein against 731 sera collected from 731 COVID-19 patients aged from 1 to 92 years.We show that there is no overall difference in SARS-CoV-2 antibody responses in COVID-19 patients in the 4 age groups.By antibody response landscape maps,we find that the IgG response profiles of SARS-CoV-2 proteins are positively correlated with age.The S protein linear epitope map shows that the immunogenicity of the S-protein peptides is related to peptide sequence,disease severity and age of the COVID-19 patients.Furthermore,the enrichment analysis indicates that low S1 IgG responses are enriched in patients aged<50 and high S1 IgG responses are enriched in mild COVID-19 patients aged>60.In addition,high responses of non-structural/accessory proteins are enriched in severe COVID-19 patients aged>70.These results suggest the distinct immune response of IgG/IgM to each SARS-CoV-2 protein in patients of different age,which may facilitate a deeper understanding of the immune responses in COVID-19 patients.Linfang Lu Siqi Yu Min Liu Yang Li Qing Lei Mingxi Lin Danyun Lai Shujuan Guo Hewei Jiang Hongyan Hou Yunxiao Zheng Xuening Wang Mingliang Ma Bo Zhang Hong Chen Junbiao Xue Hainan Zhang Huan Qi Ziyong Sun Feng Wang Xionglin Fan Zhaowei Xu 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,4:0
