1Bioptical microcycles of laminated speleothems from China and their chronological significance显示文摘Interfaces of microlayers, in most stalagmites from China, consist of opaque and organic materials. Observed with microscope, the interfaces seem dark under transmitted light and luminiferous under reflected fluorescent light. 2Geochemical characteristics and geological significance of the Neoproterozoic carbonates from northern Anhui Province, China显示文摘Petrographical and geochemical studies were carried out of the Neoproterozoic carbonates from northern Anhui Province, China. These carbonates can be subdivided into two types, including purified limestone (PL) and mixed limestone and siliclastic rocks (MLS). PLs are low in Si, Al, Zr and total REE but high in CaO compared with MLSs. Correlations between Zr, Fe2O3, P2O5 and total REE are also less remarkable, indicating that they were not obviously contaminated by continental materials but directly precipitated from seawater. So they can be used for the inversion of paleo-seawater REE patterns. The inversed results indicated that the REE pattern of Neoproterozoic seawater was similar to that of the modern seawater except for the lack of Ce depletion, which was probably affected by the reduced hydrothermal solution. In combination with previous studies, the geochemical trending of these carbonatic samples towards the continental arc in the La- Th-Sc and Th-Sc-Zr/10 diagrams is interpreted as the contamination of arc volcanism. 3THE CASE STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF CO_2 IN CAVE ATMOSPHERE ON STABILITY OF SPELEOTHEM SCENERY IN YAOLIN CAVE, ZHEJIANG PROVINCE, CHINA显示文摘Because of the development of tourist activities and the facilities in the show cave, the closed system of show cave has been changed into the complicated open system. The great number of the visitors and the landscape lights give great deal of thermoenergy to the show cave system, especially the high intensive lights make the temperature nearby goes up very fast and reduce the humidity. After the visitors leaving and the lights switching off, the temperature goes down and humidity increases even upto saturation, the condensation taken place. In the dry seasons, the cave humidity is relative low, even down to 40 50 percent. The administrations of show cave rushes the water to clean the touristic trails and keep the high humidity as to protect the cave environment. 6Geochemistry of sandstones from the Neoproterozoic Jinshanzhai Formation in northern Anhui Province, China: Provenance, weathering and tectonic setting显示文摘Sandstones from the Neoproterozoic Jinshanzhai Formation in northern Anhui Province, China, were analyzed for major oxides and trace elements to infer their provenance, the intensity of paleo-weathering of their source rocks and the depositional tectonic setting. Diagrams of (SiO2/20)-(Na2O+K2O)-(MgO+TiO2+FeO*), TiO2-Ni, Th-Hf-Co, Hf-La/Th and some ratios of elements indicate that felsic rocks constitute the source rocks in the provenance. The values of Chemical Index of Alteration (CIA) are low, which are considered to be affected by K-metasomatism. Whereas the high CIW (Chemical Index of Weathering) values indicate intensive weathering of the source material. Plots of sandstones on bivariate and triangle discriminant diagrams, as well as ICV (Index of Compositional Variation) values revealed that they were deposited on a passive continental margin or in an intra-plate basin. 8Distribution of CO_(2)in Soil Air Affected by Vegetation in the Shilin National Park显示文摘This paper studies the CO2 distribution of soil atmosphere in the Shilin National Park. The measurement sites were chosen according to different topographic features and different vegetations. Seven measurement sites on 3 cross sections were chosen to pass through 3 karstic depressions or on the slopes of depressions. All measurement results show soils with pH values lower than 7.0 (from 5.4 to 6.6). There are 2 cases for the pH values of soil in different topographic features: the pH values of 2 profiles on the ridges or upper slopes of depressions are lower than those in the depressions;and the pH values of 2 soil profiles on the slopes of depressions are higher than those in the depressions. Most samples show relatively low humidity and CO2 contents on the ridges or slopes of depressions compared with soil profiles in the depressions. High CO2 contents occur at depths from -40 to -80 cm and high and dense grassland shows high CO2 contents in the soil atmosphere. Grass roots may grow and are distributed mainly at depths from -20 to -40 cm; while tree roots predominantly as deep as -60 cm even -80 cm. The influences of pine, cypress and eucalyptus on soil CO2 have been studied. Soil CO2 influenced by pine and cypress are generally concentrated in an area surrounding the tree with a diameter of 1 m and the strongly influenced distance is 50 cm. Eucalyptus will strongly affect the CO2 contents in an area with a diameter of 2 m, especially 1 m distant from the tree. 10Rare earth element geochemistry of groundwater from a deep seated sandstone aquifer,northern Anhui province,China显示文摘Deep coal mines in northern Anhui province,China,provide opportunities for tracing the distribution and fractionation of rare earth elements(REEs) in deep seated environments.Major ions,as well as REE concentrations were measured in groundwater from a sandstone aquifer located between-400 and-280 m.Our results indicate that this groundwater consists of Cl HCO3-Na or Cl CO3-Na water types with warm temperature(30.1-31.4 °C),circumneutral pH(7.27-8.61) and high levels of total dissolved solids(TDS = 1306-2165 mg/L).Concentrations of REEs in groundwater are high as expressed by their Nd concentrations(0.0086-0.018 lg/L).Except for weak heavy REEs(HREE) enrichment relative to light REEs(LREE),the similarity of REE distribution patterns between groundwater and aquifer rock indicate that enrichment of REEs is considered to be controlled by aquifer rock,as well as by their minerals,whereas the fractionation of REEs is controlled by HREE enriched minerals and,to a lesser extent,by inorganic REE complexes.Ce anomalies normalized to Post Archean Average Shale(PAAS) and aquifer rock are weak,which probably reflect the contribution of reduced conditions in combination with pH,rather than a signature of aquifer rock.Gui Herong Sun Linhua Chen Luwang Chen Song 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,4:2

13Influence of Mineral Admixtures on the Electrodeposition Healing Effect of Concrete Cracks显示文摘Two types of solutions(Zn SO4, Mg SO4) were selected to study the influence of mineral admixtures on the electro-deposition healing effect of concrete cracks. Four parameters(i e, rates of weight gain, surface coating, crack closure and crack filling depth) were measured. The mineral composition of electro-deposits in the cracks was analyzed. The study shows that the healing effect of mortar specimens with 10% fly ash is the worst, while the healing effect of mortar specimens with 20% fly ash is better than that of the specimens without fly ash. The rates of weight gain, surface coating, crack closure and crack filling depth decrease with increasing content of the ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBS). 14Geochemistry of Neoproterozoic mixosedimentite in northern Anhui and its geological significance显示文摘Major oxides,as well as trace elements (including rare earth elements) compositions have been analyzed for the mixosedimentites from Neoproterozoic Jiayuan Formation in northern Anhui,China. The results show that the concentrations of elements are closely related to the relative proportions of carbonates and terrigenous detritus (varying from 2/3 to 1/9 based on petrographic study). The ratios between some immobile elements (e.g. La,Th,Zr and Sc) are constant and then can be used as tracers for the discrimination of provenance and tectonic setting of terrigenous detritus. The results indicate that the terrigenous detritus mainly came from the felsic volcanics related to continental arc,with minor contribution from the old basement. 15Corrosion Resistance of Steel in Cracked Reinforced Concrete after Electro-depositon Treatment显示文摘An electro-deposition method has been recently proposed to repair cracked reinforced concrete. To evaluate the corrosion resistance of the reinforcing steel in cracked concrete, three different parameters including type of auxiliary electrode, electrode distance, and current density were studied. Tafel polarization curve was used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the steel. Self-corrosion potential and corrosion current of the steel were tested. The results indicate that the corrosion resistance improvement of the reinforcing steel is optimal as prism titanium mesh is applied as auxiliary electrode, followed by the flaky titanium mesh and the column titanium bar. When the electrode distance is 60 mm, the corrosion resistance improvement of the reinforcing steel is optimal, and with 80 mm electrode distance, the corrosion resistance improvement is the poorest. The property falls in between them when 40 mm electrode distance is used. 16Preparation and Performance of Chitosan/Citric Acid Modified Magnesium Oxychloride Cement显示文摘Citric acid(CA)and chitosan(CS)were employed to modify magnesium oxychloride cement(MOC).Multiscale measurements were implemented to study the properties of the modified MOC pastes.Results show that the addition of CA/CS significantly changes the content of each phase and the microstructure of phase 5.The single addition of CA can effectively increase the compressive strength of MOC after 7 d curing,while CS exerts no obvious effect on the compressive strength.As to the simultaneous addition of CA and CS,the compressive strength of MOC gradually decreases with the increasing content of CS.Interestingly,mixing CA and CS significantly enhances the water resistance of MOC and decreases the degradation rate of MOC in phosphate buffered solution,which can be ascribed to the low specific surface area of the plate-like crystals in the modified MOC and the reduction of pores in the structure.SONG Zijian LIU Lang YU Peipei ZHANG Yunsheng LI Xincheng CHU Hongqiang JIANG Linhua 2023Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2023,38,6:0
17Preparation of Cu-,Zn-,Co-Zeolites and Application for Adsorptive Desulfurization of Saudi Arabian Medium Crude显示文摘A series of Cu(II)-, Zn(II)-, Co(II)-loaded zeolites were successfully prepared by liquid phase ion-exchange method and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), N2-adsorption specific surface area measurement(BET), X-ray fluorescence(XRF), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) techniques. The adsorptive desulfurization performance of different adsorbents for treating Saudi Arabian medium crude oil was investigated, and the results showed that desulfurization efficiency declined in the following order: Zn(II)X > Cu(II)Y > Co(II)X > Cu(II)X > Co(II)Y> Zn(II)Y. The best desulfurization efficiency of 41.01% was achieved by using Zn(II)X as the adsorbent under the optimized conditions.The desulfurization performance of Zn(II)X in different distillates showed that a better performance was obtained in heavy petroleum fractions. Furthermore, the distribution of sulfur compounds in distillates after desulfurization was analyzed and the results showed that the adsorbent Zn(II)X could preferably adsorb aromatic sulfides such as thiophenes,benzothiophenes, and dibenzothiophenes. These results suggested that the π-complexation between zinc ions and sulfides would be crucial to the excellent desulfurization efficiency of Zn(II)X. 18Effect of Pulse Parameters on Deposition in Concrete Crack using Pulse Current Electro-deposition显示文摘To evaluate the effect of pulse parameters on the formation of electrodeposits in concrete cracks, five different types of pulse current were set up, and ZnSO_4 and MgSO_4 solutions were used as the electrolytes. The rate of weight gain, rate of surface coating, rate of crack closure and crack filling depth were measured. Scanning electron microscopy was used to assess the morphology of the electrodeposits, and energy dispersive spectroscopy was used to analyze the mineral composition of the electrodeposits in the cracks. The experimental results demonstrate that, among five different pulse parameters, when T_(on)/T_(off)=0.8 ms/0.8 ms, the healing effect of electro-deposition is the best. The pulse mode hardly affects the mineral composition of the electrodeposits but changes the micromorphology.
