3Microbial Geochemical Characteristics of the Coalbed Methane in the Shizhuangnan Block of Qinshui Basin, North China and their Geological Implications显示文摘Methanogens and sulfate reducing bacteria were detected by the 16SrRNA sequencing of coalbed methane(CBM)co-produced water in the south of the Qinshui Basin,which is indicative of the presence of secondary biological gas in the south of this basin,in contradiction to the previous understanding of thermogenic gas.This work systematically collected water samples from the CBM wells in the Shizhuangnan Block and analyzed the microbial geochemical characteristics from the aspects of water ions,hydrogen and oxygen isotopes,dissolved inorganic carbon and microbial diversity.It is shown that the Shizhuangnan Block has a nearly SN-trending monoclinic structure,and the elevation of coal seam decreases gradually from the east to west.Because of the water blocking effect of Sitou fault in the west,the precipitation flowed from the east to west,and gradually transited to stagnant flow area.The concentration variation of some ions such as Na^+,K^+,Ca2^+,Mg2^+,Cl^-,HCO3^-and total dissolved solids(TDS)suggest the variation of redox condition in the coal reservoir water.The 16SrDNA sequencing analysis of the collected water samples detected the presence of methanogens and sulfate reduction bacteria.The presence of methane production zone and sulfate methane transition zone(SMTZ)was identified.The effect of methanogens in the methane production zone leads to an increase in the methane concentration,resulting in a high gas content in the study area.In the SMTZ,most methane is consumed by anaerobic oxidation due to high sulfate concentrations.LI Yang SHI Wei TANG Shuheng 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3:4
4Resources Conditions of Coalbed Methane Districts in China显示文摘The China National Administration of Coal Geology accomplished an assessment of coalbed methaneresources of China in 1988. The total amount of coalbed methane resources in China is 14336.944 billion m , occurring in recoverable coal seams and beneath weathering zones, with coalbed methane content equal to or higher than 4 m3 per ton and buried depths smaller than 2000 m, among which there are 967.51 billion m of predicted reserves and 13369.434 billion m of future reserves. The resources in coal reservoirs with methane content of more than 8 m per ton are 12444.087 billion m , and those with methane content between 4 to 8 m per ton are 1892.856 billion m . There are 35 districts in which the resources abundance is higher than 150 million m3 /km2 , 49 districts with the abundance between 50 million and 150 million m 3/km2 , and 31 districts with the abundance less than 50 million m3 /km2 . 5Methane adsorption-induced coal swelling measured with an optical method显示文摘In order to quantify the effect of matrix shrinkage on reservoir permeability during coalbed methane production, coal samples from Huozhou, Changzhi and Jincheng areas in Shanxi province(classified as high-volatile bituminous coal, low-volatile bituminous coal and anthracite, respectively) were collected,and adsorption-induced coal swelling in methane were determined by an optical method at 40 °C and pressure up to 12 MPa. All three coals showed similar behavior-that swelling increased as a function of pressure up to about 10 MPa but thereafter no further increase in swelling was observed. Swelling in the direction perpendicular to the bedding plane is greater than that parallel to the bedding plane,and the differences are about 7.77–8.33%. The maximum volumetric swelling ranges from 2.73% to3.21%-increasing with increasing coal rank. The swelling data can be described by a modified DR model.In addition, swelling increases with the amount of adsorption. However, the increase shows a relatively slower stage followed by a relatively faster stage instead of a linear increase. Based on the assumption that sorption-induced swelling/shrinkage of coal in methane is reversible, the permeability increases induced by coal shrinkage during methane desorption was analyzed, and the results indicate that the permeability change is larger for higher rank coal in the same unit of pressure depletion.Tang Shuheng Wan Yi Duan Lijiang Xia Zhaohui Zhang Songhang 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,6:3

8Prediction Model of Coal Reservoir Pressure and its Implication for the Law of Coal Reservoir Depressurization显示文摘The main methods of coalbed methane(CBM)development are drainage and depressurization,and a precise prediction of coal reservoir pressure is thus crucial for the evaluation of reservoir potentials and the formulation of reasonable development plans.This work established a new reservoir pressure prediction model based on the material balance equation(MBE)of coal reservoir,which considers the self-regulating effects of coal reservoirs and the dynamic change of equivalent drainage area(EDA).According to the proposed model,the reservoir pressure can be predicted based on reservoir condition data and the actual production data of a single well.Compared with traditional reservoir pressure prediction models which regard EDA as a fixed value,the proposed model can better predict the average pressure of reservoirs.Moreover,orthogonal experiments were designed to evaluate the sensitivity of reservoir parameters on the reservoir pressure prediction results of this proposed model.The results show that the saturation of irreducible water is the most sensitive parameter,followed by Langmuir volume and reservoir porosity,and Langmuir pressure is the least sensitive parameter.In addition,the pressure drop of reservoirs is negatively correlated with the saturation of irreducible water and the Langmuir volume,while it is positively correlated with porosity.This work analyzed the reservoir pressure drop characteristics of the CBM wells in the Shizhuangnan Block of the Qinshui Basin,and the results show that the CBM reservoir depressurization can be divided into three types,i.e.,rapidly drop type,medium-term stability type,and slowly drop type.The drainage features of wells were reasonably interpreted based on the comprehensive analysis of the reservoir depressurization type;the latter was coupled to the corresponding permeability dynamic change characteristics,eventually proving the applicability of the proposed model.YAN Xinlu ZHANG Songhang TANG Shuheng LI Zhongcheng WANG Kaifeng YI Yongxiang DANG Feng HU Qiuping 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3:2

14Improvement on the Effectiveness of Marine Stock Enhancement in the Artificial Reef Area by a New Cage-Based Release Technique显示文摘The release technique,affecting the survival rate of fish species released for stock enhancement,plays a vital role in the effectiveness of the enhancement.In order to improve the probability of released fish settling down to bottom,a new cage-based release technique was designed and tested via a water tank with artificial reef models.Two coral reef fish species,Sebastes schlegelii and Paralichthys olivaceus were assessed using this technique.Fish behavior and distribution in water tank were recorded and compared with the traditional release release techniques.Results showed that in the case of cage-based release technique:1)when the release process is just finished,the distribution index(DI)of juveniles S.schlegelii and P.olivaceus were 97.8%and 98.9%at reef area,40%and 71.1%at release point,respectively,which was higher than those using two alternative techniques;2)its impact duration was less than that in the other two conditions,where the DI within 4 hours was higher after releasing,especially for S.schiegelii.These findings indicated that the new cage-based technique could release the fish into the specified location,and has a potential to mitigate the stress reaction of fish caused by releasing process.ZHANG Junbo HE Yufeng GUO Zhixing JI Shuheng ZHANG Shuo TANG Yanli SHENG Huaxiang WAN Rong KITAZAWA Daisuke 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,4:1

18Origin of the hydrate bound gases in the Juhugeng Sag, Muli Basin, Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Juhugeng Sag,located in northwest of the Muli Basin,Tibetan Plateau,has been investigated for coal and petroleum resources during the past several decades.There have been successful recoveries of gas hydrates during recent years from the Middle Jurassic Yaojie Formation that offer insight into the origin of the hydrocarbon gases from the complex sag feature.This study examines the organic geochemical and stable carbon isotopic characteristics of shale and coal samples from the Middle Jurassic Yaojie Formation of the Juhugeng Sag,as well as compares with carbon isotopes,gas amounts and components of hydrate-bound gas.A total of 19 samples from surface mining,including 12 samples of black shale and 7 samples of coal,were analysed using a micro-photometer,a gas chromatograph,Rock–Eval and isotope methods.All the shale samples contained 100%type I kerogen,and the random vitrinite reflectance values vary from 0.65%to 1.32%and achieve thermal pyrolysis phase.Isotope values of methane(δ13C ranging from−52.6‰to−39.5‰andδD ranging from−285‰to−227‰)in the hydrate bound gases suggest that the methane originates mainly from thermogenic contributions.It is proposed that ethane from the gas hydrate is thermogenic-produced,and this conjecture is supported by the fact that most of the gas hydrate also contains more than 30%of thermogenic C2+hydrocarbons and is similar to structure II hydrate.Carbon isotope data from the gas hydrates show a positive carbon isotope series(δ13C1<δ13C2<δ13C3),with ethaneδ13C values being lighter than−28.5‰,as high consistency with source rocks from the Jurassic period indicate thermal oil-prone gas.A model of the accumulation of gas hydrate is plotted.However,the gaseous sources of gas hydrates may be a subject for more research.Shiming Liu Furong Tan Ting Huo Shuheng Tang Weixiao Zhao Haide Chao 2020International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,1:0
