1Clinical research linking Traditional Chinese Medicine constitution types with diseases:a literature review of 1639 observational studies显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To analyze clinical studies on correlations between Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)body constitution types and diseases published in the past 10 years,and to provide an evidence base to support the use of such correlations for health maintenance and disease prevention.METHODS:We searched five databases for the period April 2009 to December 2019:China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database,PubMed and Embase.Three types of observational studies on correlation between constitution types and diseases were included:cross-sectional,case-control and cohort studies.Descriptive statistical methods were employed for data analysis.RESULTS:A total of 1639 clinical studies were identified:1452(88.59%)cross-sectional studies,115(7.02%)case-control studies and 72(4.39%)cohort studies covering 30 regions of China and five other countries(Malaysia,South Korea,Singapore,Thailand and France).The collection of studies comprised 19 disease categories and 333 different diseases.The 10 most commonly studied diseases were hypertension,diabetes,stroke,coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CAHD),sleep disorders,neoplasm of the breast,dysmenorrhea,fatty liver disease,chronic viral hepatitis B and dyslipidemia.We found high distributions for each biased constitution type in different patient populations as follows:Qi-deficiency constitution in stroke,diabetes,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and hypertension;Yang-deficiency constitution in female infertility,osteoporosis,irritable bowel syndrome,gonarthrosis and dysmenorrhea;Yin-deficiency constitution in hypertension,diabetes,constipation,female climacteric states and osteoporosis;phlegm-dampness constitution in hypertension,stroke,fatty liver disease,diabetes and metabolic syndrome;damp-heat constitution in acne,chronic gastritis,chronic viral hepatitis B,human papillomavirus infection and hyperuricemia;blood-stasis constitution in CAHD,endometriosis and stroke;Qi-stagnation constitution in hyperplasia and neoplasms of the breast,insomnia,depression and thyroid nodules;and inherited-special constitution in asthma and allergic rhinitis.CONCLUSION:Eight biased TCM constitutions were closely related to specific diseases,and could be used to guide individualized prevention and treatment.More rigorously designed studies are recommended to further verify the constitution-disease relationship.Liang Xue Wang Qi Jiang Zeqiang Li Zhuqing Zhang Mengxing Yang Peiying Wang Xin Wang Yanqiu Qin Yuehua Li Tianxing Zhang Tianyi Wang Yi Sun Jianxiang Li Yusi Luo Hui Li Lingru 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4:29
2Spectral analysis and self-adjusting mechanism for oscillation phenomenon in hydrogen-oxygen continuously rotating detonation engine显示文摘The continuously rotating detonation engine(CRDE)is a new concept of engines for aircraft and spacecraft.Quasi-stable continuously rotating detonation(CRD)can be observed in an annular combustion chamber,but the sustaining,stabilizing and adjusting mechanisms are not yet clear.To learn more deeply into the CRDE,experimental studies have been carried out to investigate hydrogen-oxygen CRDE.Pressure histories are obtained during each shot,which show that stable CRD waves are generated in the combustor,when feeding pressures are higher than 0.5 MPa for fuel and oxidizer,respectively.Each shot can keep running as long as fresh gas feeding maintains.Close-up of the pressure history shows the repeatability of pressure peaks and indicates the detonation velocity in hydrogen–oxygen CRD,which proves the success of forming a stable CRD in the annular chamber.Spectrum of the pressure history matches the close-up analysis and confirms the CRD.It also shows multi-wave phenomenon and affirms the fact that in this case a single detonation wave is rotating in the annulus.Moreover,oscillation phenomenon is found in pressure peaks and a self-adjusting mechanism is proposed to explain the phenomenon.Liu Yusi Wang Yuhui Li Yongsheng Li Yang Wang Jianping 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3:14
3Secondary organic aerosols in Jinan, an urban site in North China: Significant anthropogenic contributions to heavy pollution显示文摘Secondary organic aerosols(SOAs) are an important component of particulates, but whether biogenic SOAs(BSOAs) or anthropogenic SOAs(ASOAs) are the dominant contributors to haze pollution remains poorly characterized. In this study, particulate samples were collected from September 2014 to August 2015 at an urban site in Jinan, which is the capital of Shandong Province and a typical city in the North China Plain. The PM2.5 samples were analyzed for BSOA(isoprene(SOAI) and monoterpenes(SOAM)) and ASOA(aromatic(SOAA)) tracers. The concentrations of the SOAAtracer(1.1 ± 1.0 ng/m3) were lowest, and those of SOAItracers(41.8 ± 86.2 ng/m3) were highest, with the concentrations of SOAMtracers(19.4 ± 9.9 ng/m3) being intermediate. The SOAItracers were more abundant in the summer and less abundant in the winter. Both SOAIand SOAMincreased with increasing ozone level but decreased with increasing NOx level. Correlation analysis revealed a good correlation between 2,3-dihydroxy-4-oxopentanoic acid and levoglucosan levels in three seasons. These results suggested that biomass burning activities occurring in the NCP can enhance the emissions of aromatics and should be controlled, especially in the autumn and winter. SOA tracers were classified according to pollution degree, and the results showed that as pollution increases, the contributions of SOAAincrease. 4Ethylene-induced microtubule reorientation is essential for fast inhibition of root elongation in Arabidopsis显示文摘Microtubule reorientation is a long-standing observation that has been implicated in regulating the inhibitory effect of ethylene on axial elongation of plant cells. However, the signaling mechanism underlying ethylene-induced microtubule reorientation has remained elusive. Here, we reveal, by live confocal imaging and kinetic root elongation assays, that the time courses of ethylene-induced microtubule reorientation and root elongation inhibition are highly correlated, and that microtubule reorientation is required for the full responsiveness of root elongation to ethylene treatment. Our genetic analysis demonstrated that the effect of ethylene on microtubule orientation and root elongation is mainly transduced through the canonical linear ethylene signaling pathway. By using pharmacological and genetic analyses, we demonstrate further that the TIR1/AFBs-Aux/IAAs-ARFs auxin signaling pathway, but not the ABP1-ROP6-RIC1 auxin signaling branch, is essential for ethylene-induced microtubule reorientation and root elongation inhibition. 5Trace Elements in Sphalerite from the Dadongla Zn-Pb Deposit, Western Hunan-Eastern Guizhou Zn-Pb Metallogenic Belt, South China显示文摘The western Hunan-eastern Guizhou Zn-Pb metallogenic belt is one of the important Zn-Pb mineralization regions in China.The Dadongla deposit,located in the northeast of Guizhou Province,is one of the typical Zn-Pb deposits in the region and has estimated resources more than 12 million metric tons(Mt)with an average grade of 4.11 wt%Zn+Pb.Its orebodies are hosted in the lower Cambrian Aoxi Formation dolomite,occurring as bedded,para-bedded in shape,and in conformity with the wall rock.The ore mineral assemblage is simple,dominated by sphalerite with minor pyrite and galena,and the gangue minerals are composed of dolomite,calcite with minor bitumen and barite.In view of the lack of geological and geochemical researches,the genesis of Zn-Pb ore is still unclear.Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICPMS)spot and mapping analyses were used to obtain sphalerite trace element chemistry in the Dadongla Zn-Pb deposit in Guizhou,China,aiming to constrain its ore genesis.The results show that sphalerite is characterized by the enrichment of Cd,Fe,Ge and Hg,corresponding with that of typical MVT deposits.Four zones were identified in the sphalerite crystal from Dadongla from the center to margin according to the color bands.in which the zone in the center,representing the early ore-stage sphalerite,is characterized by enrichment of Cd relatively,while the zone forming at late ore-stage is enriched in Ge and Hg relatively.The finding was controlled by differential leached metals content in ore-forming fluid from its source rock.Notably,critical element Ge trends to be enriched at the late ore-stage and follows a substitution of 2 Zn^2+(?)Ge^4++□(vacancy).Moreover,the calculated ore-forming temperature ranges from 79.9℃to 177.6℃by the empirical formula,which is similar to that of typical Mississippi Valley-type(MVT)deposits.Compared with the features of trace elements in sphalerite from different types of deposits,together with the geology,the Dadongla deposit belongs to an MVT Zn-Pb deposit.HU Yusi YE Lin WEI Chen LI Zhenli HUANG Zhilong WANG Haoyu 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6:3
6High-order compact finite volume methods on unstructured grids with adaptive mesh refinement for solving inviscid and viscous flows显示文摘In the present paper, high-order finite volume schemes on unstructured grids developed in our previous papers are extended to solve three-dimensional inviscid and viscous flows. The highorder variational reconstruction technique in terms of compact stencil is improved to reduce local condition numbers. To further improve the efficiency of computation, the adaptive mesh refinement technique is implemented in the framework of high-order finite volume methods. Mesh refinement and coarsening criteria are chosen to be the indicators for certain flow structures. One important challenge of the adaptive mesh refinement technique on unstructured grids is the dynamic load balancing in parallel computation. To solve this problem, the open-source library p4 est based on the forest of octrees is adopted. 7Enhance the delivery of light energy ultra-deep into turbid medium by controlling multiple scattering photons to travel in open channels显示文摘Multiple light scattering is considered as the major limitation for deep imaging and focusing in turbid media.In this paper,we present an innovative method to overcome this limitation and enhance the delivery of light energy ultradeep into turbid media with significant improvement in focusing.Our method is based on a wide-field reflection matrix optical coherence tomography(RM-OCT).The time-reversal decomposition of the RM is calibrated with the Tikhonov regularization parameter in order to get more accurate reversal results deep inside the scattering sample.We propose a concept named model energy matrix,which provides a direct mapping of light energy distribution inside the scattering sample.To the best of our knowledge,it is the first time that a method to measure and quantify the distribution of beam intensity inside a scattering sample is demonstrated.By employing the inversion of RM to find the matched wavefront and shaping with a phase-only spatial light modulator,we succeeded in both focusing a beam deep(~9.6 times of scattering mean free path,SMFP)inside the sample and increasing the delivery of light energy by an order of magnitude at an ultra-deep(~14.4 SMFP)position.This technique provides a powerful tool to understand the propagation of photon in a scattering medium and opens a new way to focus light inside biological tissues.Jing Cao Qiang Yang Yusi Miao Yan Li Saijun Qiu Zhikai Zhu Pinghe Wang Zhongping Chen 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:2
8Growth asymmetry precedes differential auxin response during apical hook initiation in Arabidopsis显示文摘The development of a hook-like structure at the apical part of the soil-emerging organs has fascinated botanists for centuries,but how it is initiated remains unclear.Here,we demonstrate with highthroughput infrared imaging and 2-D clinostat treatment that,when gravity-induced root bending is absent,apical hook formation still takes place.In such scenarios,hook formation begins with a de novo growth asymmetry at the apical part of a straightly elongating hypocotyl.Remarkably,suchde novo asymmetric growth,but not the following hook enlargement,precedes the establishment of a detectable auxin response asymmetry,and is largely independent of auxin biosynthesis,transport and signaling.Moreover,we found that functional cortical microtubule array is essential for the following enlargement of hook curvature.When microtubule array was disrupted by oryzalin,the polar localization of PIN proteins and the formation of an auxin maximum became impaired at the to-be-hook region.Taken together,we propose a more comprehensive model for apical hook initiation,in which the microtubuledependent polar localization of PINs may mediate the instruction of growth asymmetry that is either stochastically taking place,induced by gravitropic response,or both,to generate a significant auxin gradient that drives the full development of the apical hook.Yang Peng Dan Zhang Yuping Qiu Zhina Xiao Yusi Ji Wenyang Li Yiji Xia Yichuan Wang Hongwei Guo 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,1:1
9Vertical Profiles of Volatile Organic Compounds in Suburban Shanghai显示文摘As Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)are one of the precursors of ozone,their distribution and variable concentrations are highly related to local ozone pollution control.In this study,we obtained vertical profiles of VOCs in Shanghai’s Jinshan district on 8 September and 9 September in 2016 to investigate their distribution and impact on local atmospheric oxidation in the near surface layer.Vertical samples were collected from heights between 50 m and 400 m by summa canisters using an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV).Concentrations of VOCs(VOCs refers to the 52 species measured in this study)varied minimally below 200 m,and decreased by 21.2%from 100 m to 400 m.The concentrations of VOCs above 200 m decreased significantly in comparison to those below 200 m.The proportions of alkanes and aromatics increased from 55.2%and 30.5%to 57.3%and 33.0%,respectively.Additionally,the proportion of alkenes decreased from 13.2%to 8.4%.Toluene and m/p-xylene were the key species in the formation of SOA and ozone.Principal component analysis(PCA)revealed that the VOCs measured in this study mainly originated from industrial emissions.Yuhan LIU Hongli WANG Shengao JING Ming ZHOU Shenrong LOU Kun QU Wanyi QIU Qian WANG Shule LI Yaqin GAO Yusi LIU Xiaobing LI Zhong-Ren PENG Junhui CHEN Keding LU 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:1

12Relationship of serum GDF11 levels with bone mineral density and bone turnover markers in postmenopausal Chinese women显示文摘Growth differentiation factor 11(GDF11) is an important circulating factor that regulates aging.However,the role of GDF11 in bone metabolism remains unclear.The present study was undertaken to investigate the relationship between serum GDF11 level,bone mass,and bone turnover markers in postmenopausal Chinese women.Serum GDF11 level,bone turnover biochemical markers,and bone mineral density(BMD) were determined in 169 postmenopausal Chinese women(47–78 years old).GDF11 serum levels increased with aging.There were negative correlations between GDF11 and BMD at the various skeletal sites.After adjusting for age and body mass index(BMI),the correlations remained statistically significant.In the multiple linear stepwise regression analysis,age or years since menopause,BMI,GDF11,and estradiol were independent predictors of BMD.A significant negative correlation between GDF11 and bone alkaline phosphatase(BAP) was identified and remained significant after adjusting for age and BMI.No significant correlation was noted between cross-linked N-telopeptides of type I collagen(NTX) and GDF11.In conclusion,GDF11 is an independent negative predictor of BMD and correlates with a biomarker of bone formation,BAP,in postmenopausal Chinese women.GDF11 potentially exerts a negative effect on bone mass by regulating bone formation.Yusi Chen Qi Guo Min Zhang Shumin Song Tonggui Quan Tiepeng Zhao Hongliang Li Lijuan Guo Tiejian Jiang Guangwei Wang 2016Bone Research2016,4,1:1
13Influence of meteorological factors on open biomass burning at a background site in Northeast China显示文摘Biomass burning(BB)is a very important emission source that significantly adversely impacts regional air quality.BB produces a large number of primary organic aerosol(POA)and black carbon(BC).Besides,BB also provides many precursors for secondary organic aerosol(SOA)generation.In this work,the ratio of levoglucosan(LG)to organic carbon(OC)and the fire hotspots map was used to identify the open biomass burning(OBB)events,which occurred in two representative episodes,October 13 to November 30,2020,and April1 to April 30,2021.The ratio of organic aerosol(OA)to reconstructed PM_(2.5)concentration(PM_(2.5)^(*))increased with the increase of LG/OC.When LG/OC ratio is higher than 0.03,the highest OA/PM_(2.5)^(*)ratio can reach 80%,which means the contribution of OBB to OA is crucial.According to the ratio of LG to K^(+),LG to mannosan(MN)and the regional characteristics of Longfengshan,it can be determined that the crop residuals are the main fuel.The occurrence of OBB coincides with farmers’preferred choices,i.e.,burning biomass in“bright weather”.The“bright weather”refers to the meteorological conditions with high temperature,low humidity,and without rain.Meteorological factors indirectly affect regional biomass combustion pollution by influencing farmers’active choices.Yulong Wang Linlin Liang Wanyun Xu Chang Liu Hongbing Cheng Yusi Liu Gen Zhang Xiaobin Xu Dajiang Yu Peng Wang Qingli Song Jiumeng Liu Yuan Cheng 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
14Regular diet is non-inferior to restricted diet after polypectomy with decreased hospitalization length of stay and cost:a randomized–controlled trial显示文摘Background There are no data comparing a regular diet with a restricted diet after endoscopic polypectomy in patients with colorectal polyps.The current guidelines also did not provide the detailed information of dietary patterns after polypectomy.In this study,we aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of different diets on post-polypectomy outcomes.Methods A total of 302 patients with colorectal polyps who underwent polypectomy were prospectively enrolled between March 2019 and December 2019 in Nanfang Hospital(Guangzhou,China).Enrolled patients were then randomly assigned to a regular diet group or a restricted diet group after polypectomy.The study is a non-inferior design and the primary end point was the post-operative adverse events(AE)rate.Secondary end points included length of stay(LOS)and hospitalization cost.Results Among all the included patients,148 patients received a restricted diet and 154 patients received a regular diet after polypectomy.A total of 376 polyps were removed,with 183 polyps in the restricted diet group and 193 polyps in the regular diet group.Shorter LOS(4.0±1.4 vs 4.8±1.7,P<0.001)and lower hospitalization costs(7,701.63±2,579.07 vs 8,656.05±3,138.53,P=0.001)were observed in the regular diet group.In particular,there was no significant difference in 3-day AE rates between the restricted diet and the regular diet group(1.35%[2/148]vs 2.60%[4/154],P=0.685).Subgroup analysis looking at the number of polyps removed in each patient and different treatmentmodalities also showed similar findings.Conclusion Regular diet should be recommended after polypectomy for polyps<20mm as it can shorten LOS and save hospitalization costs.Rong Huang Shaohui Huang Li Xu Rai Mandip Baomei Chen Jiayi Fan Yang Bai Yusi Wang Zelong Han Zhiqing Wang Side Liu Yue Li 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
15In-situ synthesis of quantum dots in the nucleus of live cells显示文摘The cell nucleus is the main site for the storage and replication of genetic material,and the synthesis of substances in the nucleus is rhythmic,regular and strictly regulated by physiological processes.However,whether exogenous substances,such as nanoparticles,can be synthesized in situ in the nucleus of live cells has not been reported.Here,we have achieved in-situ synthesis of CdSx Se1−x quantum dots(QDs)in the nucleus by regulation of the glutathione(GSH)metabolic pathway.High enrichment of GSH in the nucleus can be accomplished by the addition of GSH with the help of the Bcl-2 protein.Then,high-valence Se is reduced to low-valence Se by glutathione-reductase-catalyzed GSH,and interacts with the Cd precursor formed through Cd and thiol-rich proteins,eventually generating QDs in the nucleus.Our work contributes to a new understanding of the syntheses of substances in the cell nucleus and wi l l pave the way for the development of advanced‘supercells’.Yusi Hu Zhi-Gang Wang Haohao Fu Chuanzheng Zhou Wensheng Cai Xueguang Shao Shu-Lin Liu Dai-Wen Pang 2024National Science Review2024,11,3:0
16Towards High-performance Lithium-Sulfur Batteries: the Modification of Polypropylene Separator by 3D Porous Carbon Structure Embedded with Fe3C/Fe Nanoparticles显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries with high energy densities have received increasing attention.However,the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries is still far from the satisfactory of the practical application,which can be mainly attributed to the shuttling of polysulfides and the slow reaction kinetics of polysulfide conversion.To address this issue,a 3D porous carbon structure constructed by 2D N-doped graphene and 1D carbon nanotubes with embedded Fe3C/Fe nanoparticles(NG@Fe3C/Fe)was designed and prepared by a simple programmed calcination method for the modification of polypropylene(PP)separator.The Fe3C/Fe nanoparticles demonstrate an excellent catalytic conversion and strong chemisorption towards polysulfides,while the unique architecture of N-doped graphene promotes the Li+/electron transfer and the physical adsorption of polysulfides.The electrochemical performance of the Li-S batteries with the NG@Fe3C/Fe-modified separator is significantly improved.A large discharge capacity of 1481 mA∙h∙g-1 is achieved at 0.2 C(1 C=1675 mA/g),and a high capacity of 601 mA∙h∙g-1 is maintained after discharged/charged for 500 cycles at a current rate of 1 C.This work provides a new approach for the development of high-performance Li-S batteries through the modification of the PP separator by rationally designed composites with large adsorption capability to polysulfides,good wettability to the electrolyte and high catalytic property.LIU Yusi ZHAO Xinghe LI Sesi ZHANG Qiang WANG Kaixue CHEN Jiesheng 2022Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2022,38,1:0
17Hierarchical Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2)/MoS_(2) Composite as an Anode Material for Sodium-ion Batteries显示文摘MoS_(2) with a large interlayer spacing of 6.24Å(1Å=0.1 nm)and a high theoretical capacity of 678 mA·h·g^(‒1) is recognized as a potential electrode candidate for sodium-ion batteries.However,its agglomeration tendency and volume change upon the charge/discharge cycling lead to fast capacity decay and poor cyclic stability.In this work,a hierarchical Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2)/MoS_(2) composite was prepared to improve the electrochemical performance of MoS_(2).Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx MXene was used as a conductive agent and mechanical support,while zero-strain TiO_(2) generated through the in-situ oxidization of Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx MXene was utilized as a structural stabilizer.Compared with Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2),Ti_(3)C_(2),and MoS_(2),the Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2)/MoS_(2) composite exhibited excellent electrochemical performance:a high specific capacity of 413.6 mA·h·g^(‒1)was retained after charge/discharge at 0.1 A/g for 100 cycles and a high rate capacity of 302.2 mA·h·g^(‒1) was achieved at 8.0 A/g as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries.Therefore,this work sheds light on the development of MoS_(2)-based materials for anodes of sodium-ion batteries.BAI Yulin FENG Rong YAN Tao LIU Yusi CUI Li WANG Kaixue 2023Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2023,39,6:0
18Correlation Between Serum C-Reactive Protein And Cystatin C In Patients With Acute Cerebral Infarction And Carotid Artery Stenosis显示文摘To investigate the correlation between serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and serum cystatin C (Cys-C) levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction and carotid artery stenosis. Fasting venous blood was collected on the third day after onset of the disease and serum levels of CRP and Cys-C were measured and compared. Results: Serum levels of CRP and Cys-C in case group were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.05). The correlation between serum CRP and Cys-C was found in any pairwise comparison (r = 0.4732). The level of CRP and Cys-C were closely related to the degree of carotid artery stenosis (P <0.05). 19Application of Article - Level Metrics and comparison with Journal- Level Metrics in differentiated document recommendation: An empirical study in artificial intelligence field显示文摘The measurement indexes of literature include citation frequency,H index,etc.The evaluation of core joumals mainly relies on the indexes such as impact factor or comprehensive evaluation method.With the in-depth development of research,these indicators are not comprehensive and accurate for literature and jourmals.Therefore,according to various literature needs for different researchers,'core literature'in this study was divided into three types:classical,popular and frontier;and measurement system of document value was constructed with comprehensive use of entropy weight method and principal component analysis from the perspective of Article-Level Metrics.In the case study of artificial intelligence(AD),three types of document sets were acquired with the threshold value of specific indicators,and then measured by a combination of multi-index,achieving identification and recommendation of core documents for different research needs.At the same time,this paper further calculates the total score of the joumals according to the literature score,and finds that the journal distribution of different types of core literature is quite different.The difference between the ranking of joumal scores and the ranking of impact factor after literature classification is relatively large,but the ranking of jourmal normalized Eigenfactor and the ranking of impact factor are similar.These research directions,loading joumals,selected indicators,and temporal effects in three types of core documents were revealed in the study,which can provide a certain reference for promoting scientific research in AI and launching scientific research management services.Feifei Wang Wanzhao Lu Yusi Hou 2021Data Science and Informetrics2021,1,4:0
