| 1 | Geochemical characteristics of natural gas from mud volcanoes in the southern Junggar Basin显示文摘A number of mud volcanoes exist in the southern Junggar Basin. To date few systematic studies on natural gas geochemistry of mud volcanoes have been conducted in China. In June 1991 and August 2010, the authors investigated the mud volcanoes in the southern Junggar Basin twice, and the mud volcanism weakened gradually as seen from the variations such as the decrease of gas pressure and output, the downthrow and dry up of the mud pool. The volcanic intensity was significantly weaker than that in Taiwan. The natural gas from the mud volcanoes in the southern Junggar Basin has similar geochemical characteristics, indicating the same source or origin. The main component of the mud volcano gas is alkane gas with contents of 91.15%-97.49%, and the gas is high-quality commercial gas since methane dominates in the alkane. The 13C1 values are 49.1‰--40.6‰, which are in accordance with the peak 13C1 frequency of mud volcano gas around the world, and the alkane gas displays positive carbon isotopic series, i.e., 13C1< 13C2< 13C3, suggesting typical thermogenic origin. The helium in the mud volcano gas is typically crust-derived due to the low R/Ra values of 0.011-0.054. The mud volcano gas is coal-derived since the 13C2 values are all greater than 28‰, and C1/C1-4 and 13C1 values are in accordance with those of natural gas derived from the Lower-Middle Jurassic coal-measures. | 2 | CAS FGOALS-f3-L Model Datasets for CMIP6 Historical Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project Simulation显示文摘The outputs of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System(FGOALS-f3-L) model for the baseline experiment of the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project simulation in the Diagnostic,Evaluation and Characterization of Klima common experiments of phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) are described in this paper. The CAS FGOALS-f3-L model, experiment settings, and outputs are all given. In total,there are three ensemble experiments over the period 1979–2014, which are performed with different initial states. The model outputs contain a total of 37 variables and include the required three-hourly mean, six-hourly transient, daily and monthly mean datasets. The baseline performances of the model are validated at different time scales. The preliminary evaluation suggests that the CAS FGOALS-f3-L model can capture the basic patterns of atmospheric circulation and precipitation well, including the propagation of the Madden–Julian Oscillation, activities of tropical cyclones, and the characterization of extreme precipitation. | 4 | Geochemical Characteristics and Genetic Types of Natural Gas in the Xinchang Gas Field, Sichuan Basin, SW China显示文摘The molecular compositions and stable carbon and hydrogen isotopic compositions of natural gas from the Xinchang gas field in the Sichuan Basin were investigated to determine the genetic types. The natural gas is mainly composed of methane (88.99%–98.01%), and the dryness coefficient varies between 0.908 and 0.997. The gas generally displays positive alkane carbon and hydrogen isotopic series. The geochemical characteristics and gas-source correlation indicate that the gases stored in the 5^(th) member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation are coal-type gases which are derived from source rocks in the stratum itself. The gases reservoired in the 4^(th) member of the Xujiahe Formation and Jurassic strata in the Xinchang gas field are also coal-type gases that are derived from source rocks in the 3^(rd) and 4^(th) members of the Xujiahe Formation. The gases reservoired in the 2^(nd) member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation are mainly coal-type gases with small amounts of oil-type gas that is derived from source rocks in the stratum itself. This is accompanied by a small amount of contribution brought by source rocks in the Upper Triassic Ma'antang and Xiaotangzi formations. | 5 | The scientific connotation of oil and gas formations under deep fluids and organic-inorganic interaction显示文摘As a relatively stable craton block in the earth system, the petroliferous basin is influenced by the evolution of the earth system from the early development environment of source rocks, hydrocarbon formation, and reservoir dissolution to hydrocarbon accumulation or destruction. As a link between the internal and external factors of the basin, deep fluids run through the whole process of hydrocarbon formation and accumulation through organic-inorganic interaction. The nutrients carried by deep fluids promote the bloom of hydrocarbon-generating organisms and extra addition of carbon and hydrogen source, which are beneficial to the development of high-quality source rock and enhancement of the hydrocarbon generation potential. The energy carried by the deep fluid promotes the early maturation of the source rock and facilitates the hydrocarbon generation by activation and hydrogenation in high-mature hydrocarbon sources. The dissolution alteration of carbonate rocks and clastic reservoirs by CO_2-rich deep fluids improves the deep reservoir space, thus extending the oil and gas reservoir space into greater depth. The extraction of deeply retained crude oil by deep supercritical CO_2 and the displacement of CH_4 in shale have both improved the hydrocarbon fluidity in deep and tight reservoirs. Simultaneously, the energy and material carried by deep fluids(C, H, and catalytic substances) not only induce inorganic CH_4 formation by Fischer-Tropsch(F-T) synthesis and 'hydrothermal petroleum' generation from organic matter by thermal activity but also cause the hydrothermal alteration of crude oil from organic sources. | 7 | Epigenetic regulation of phosphodiesterase 4d in restrictive cardiomyopathy mice with cTnI mutations显示文摘Epigenetic regulations play an important role in disease development.In this study,we have investigated epigenetic regulations in restrictive cardiomyopathy mice with cTnI 193 His mutation.Our results demonstrated that phosphodiesterase(PDEs)4d was down-regulated in the heart of these mice.Further studies showed that the epigenetic modifications were associated with enhanced acetylation of histone 3 lysine 4 and lysines 9,whereas tri-methylation of histone 3 lysine 4,were decreased in histones near the PDE4d gene promoter regions.The binding levels of histone transmethylase SMYD1 and histone deacetylase HDAC1 were increased in the gene promoter regions in cTnI193 His transgenic hearts.Using immune-fluorescent labeling we found an evidence of cTnI existence in the nucleus of cardiomyocytes and Western blotting further confirmed that both wild type and mutated cTnI could be detected in the cell nucleus of the hearts.Furthermore,an interaction between cTnI and SMYD1,or cTnI and HDAC1 was observed.Overexpression of the mutated cTnI in cultured cardiomyocytes reduced the expression of PDE4d.Our data suggest that the decrease of PDE4d expression in RCM mice caused by cTnI mutations may be related to epigenetic regulation,i.e.,histone acetylation and methylation,and cTnI might be involved in this procedure via an interaction with HDAC1 and SMAD1 in the hearts. | Weian Zhao Xiaoqi Wu Zhiyuan Wang Bo Pan Lifei Liu Lingjuan Liu Xupei Huang Jie Tian | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,4: | 4 |
| 8 | Effect of 'Yang-warming and kidney essence-replenishing' herbal paste on cold-related asthma exacerbation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of 'Yang-warming and kidney essence-replenishing' herbal paste on cold-related asthma exacerbation. METHODS: One hundred and fifty one patients with moderate to severe persistent asthma were randomly divided into a treatment group (n=74) and a control group (n=69). Both groups were given basic treatment according to the Global Initiative for Asthma scheme. The treatment group was also treated with herbal paste in the winter. The frequency of asthma exacerbation, cold and cold-re-lated asthma exacerbation, scores of the asthma control test (ACT), and kidney-deficiency syndrome during the one-year follow-up in each group were recorded. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the onset frequencies of catching cold, asthma exacerbation, cold-related asthma exacerbation, and kidney-deficiency syndrome score were significantly reduced. There was no significant difference in scores of ACT between the two groups. | 9 | Origin and source of CO_2 in natural gas from the eastern Sichuan Basin显示文摘The CO2 contents of natural gas from the eastern Sichuan Basin were mainly less than 2%,and they were generally large when the H2S contents were over 5%.The natural gas in the eastern Sichuan Basin showed high δ13C1 values uncorrelated with H2S contents,and the oil-associated gas generally displayed carbon isotopic reversal between methane and ethane,whereas the coal-derived gas samples displayed positive series.The δ13C values of CO2 in the natural gas could be divided into two types,one with low values(-24‰--12‰)and the other with high values(-8‰-4‰).The natural gas had low R/Ra values and broad CO2/3He values distinct from the mantle-derived gas,and the CO2 was typical of crustal origin.Natural gas with high δ13CCO2 values is distributed in the north region of the eastern Sichuan Basin,and CO2 in H2S-poor and H2S-free reservoirs was mainly derived from the thermal decomposition of carbonate rocks under Permian magmatism and high heat flow,whereas CO2 in the gas reservoirs with high TSR extent was derived mainly from the dedolomitization of carbonate reservoirs under acidic formation water,and the CO2 of TSR origin generally entered into the secondary calcite.The CO2 in natural gas in the south-central region of the eastern Sichuan Basin,which had been rarely affected by the Emeishan mantle plume,displayed low δ13C values and was of organic origin.Though the natural gas in Wolonghe gas field had experienced TSR,the low reaction extent and weak acidity of formation water could hardly have resulted in the dedolomitization,and therefore CO2 in the natural gas was mainly of TSR origin with low δ13C values. | WU XiaoQi DAI JinXing LIAO FengRong HUANG ShiPeng | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,8: | 3 |

| 11 | Recovery of thorium and rare earths from leachate of ion-absorbed rare earth radioactive residues with N1923 and Cyanex■572显示文摘Ion-absorbed rare earth ores radioactive residues(IREORR)are a class of waste residue from the production of rare earth elements(REEs).Because of its radioactive dose,IREORR are usually stored in waste warehouses.IREORR are difficult to be disposed of.However,it contains relatively high concentrations of REEs,which can be considered as a valuable secondary resource.In this paper,a novel process is developed for the separation of thorium(Th)and recovery of REEs from IREORR hydrochloric acid leachate with primary amine N1923 and Cyanex?572,respectively.The effects of sulfate concentration,extractant concentration and pH on N1923 extraction in hydrochloric acid solution were investigated in detail.The results show that the extraction capacity of N1923 can be improved by adding sulfate to the solution and increasing the concentration of N1923.Acidity has little effect on the extraction of Th when pH is higher than 1.As for the stripping,REEs are more easily stripped from loaded organic phase than Th,and nitric acid is a better stripping agent than hydrochloric acid.Combined with the extraction of Cyanex■572 for REEs,a fractional extraction experiment for separating Th and enriching of REEs was performed.The yield of Th is higher than 99.9%and the concentration of REEs is enriched to 183.84 g/L. | Jia Su Xiangguang Guo Yun Gao Shan Wu Ruigao Xu Xiaoqi Sun | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,10: | 2 |

| 13 | The first extra-large helium-rich gas field identified in a tight sandstone of the Dongsheng Gas Field,Ordos Basin,China显示文摘Helium gas is a scarce but important strategic resource,which is usually associated with natural gas.Presently,only one extra-large helium-rich gas field has been found in China:the Hetianhe Gas Field in the Tarim Basin.This paper reports a new example,the Dongsheng Gas Field(DGF)in the Ordos Basin.In this study,92 natural gas samples from the DGF were analyzed for helium content and isotope composition using isotope mass spectrometry.The natural gas samples were found to have an average helium content of 0.133%,with 65(70.7%)of the samples having a helium content of 0.1%or more.Based on the proven natural gas reserves of the DGF,the proven geological helium reserves were calculated to be 1.96×10^(8)m^(3),suggesting that it represents the first extra-large helium-rich natural gas reservoir to be hosted in tight sandstone in China.The ^(3)He/^(4)He ratios of 5 natural gas samples from the DGF are within the range of 3.03×10^(−8)–3.44×10^(−8).Therefore,the helium in the gas field is thought to be of typical crustal origin and to have formed in the granitic basement that is rich in uranium and thorium.The accumulation of helium-rich natural gas was controlled by regional tectonic activities.Activity along the fault connecting the reservoir with the basement caused release of the helium gas,which entered the overlying strata along the fault and accumulated with conventional hydrocarbon gas.Based on the structural background and the distribution of helium source rocks in the Ordos Basin,the main helium source rocks with high exploration potential are located in deep strata within the north and middle parts of the basin. | Weilong PENG Quanyou LIU Ying ZHANG Huichong JIA Dongya ZHU Qingqiang MENG Xiaoqi WU Shang DENG Yongsheng MA | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,5: | 2 |

| 16 | Comparative study of Co_(3)O_(4)-ZSM-5 catalysts synthesized by different hydrothermal methods for the catalytic oxidation of dichloromethane显示文摘In this work,various Co_(3)O_(4)-ZSM-5 catalysts were prepared by the microwave hydrothermal method(MH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5),dynamic hydrothermal method(DH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5),and conventio nal hydrothermal method(CH-Co_(3)O_(4)/ZSM-5).Their catalytic oxidation of dichloromethane(DCM)was analyzed.Detailed characterizations such as X-ray diffractometer(XRD),scanning microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),H2 temperature-programmed reduction(H2-TPR),temperature-programmed desorption of O_(2)(O_(2)-TPD),temperature-programmed desorption of NH_(3)(NH_(3)-TPD),diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier-transform spectra with NH_(3)molecules(NH_(3)-DRIFT),and temperature-programmed surface reaction(TPSR)were performed.Results showed that with the assistance of microwave,MH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5 formed a uniform core-shell structure,while the other two samples did not.MH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5 possessed rich surface adsorbed oxygen species,higher ratio of Co^(3+)/Co^(2+),strong acidity,high reducibility,and oxygen mobility among the three Co_(3)O_(4)-ZSM-5 catalysts,which was beneficial for the improvement of DCM oxidation.In the oxidation of dichloromethane,MH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5 presented the best activity and mineralization,which was consistent with the characterizations results.Meanwhile,according to the TPSR test,HCl or Cl_(2)removal from the catalyst surface was also promoted in MH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5 by their abundant Bronsted acid sites and the promotion of Deacon reaction by Co_(3)O_(4)or the synergistic effect of Co_(3)O_(4)and ZSM-5.According to the results of in situ DRIFT studies,a possible reaction pathway of DCM oxidation was proposed over the MH-Co_(3)O_(4)@ZSM-5 catalysts. | Xiaoqi Fei Shuang Cao Weilong Ouyang Haiqiang Wang Zhongbiao Wu | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3: | 1 |

| 19 | CAS FGOALS-f3-L Large-ensemble Simulations for the CMIP6 Polar Amplification Model Intercomparison Project显示文摘Large-ensemble simulations of the atmosphere-only time-slice experiments for the Polar Amplification Model Intercomparison Project(PAMIP)were carried out by the model group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System(FGOALS-f3-L).Eight groups of experiments forced by different combinations of the sea surface temperature(SST)and sea ice concentration(SIC)for pre-industrial,present-day,and future conditions were performed and published.The time-lag method was used to generate the 100 ensemble members,with each member integrating from 1 April 2000 to 30 June 2001 and the first two months as the spin-up period.The basic model responses of the surface air temperature(SAT)and precipitation were documented.The results indicate that Arctic amplification is mainly caused by Arctic SIC forcing changes.The SAT responses to the Arctic SIC decrease alone show an obvious increase over high latitudes,which is similar to the results from the combined forcing of SST and SIC.However,the change in global precipitation is dominated by the changes in the global SST rather than SIC,partly because tropical precipitation is mainly driven by local SST changes.The uncertainty of the model responses was also investigated through the analysis of the large-ensemble members.The relative roles of SST and SIC,together with their combined influence on Arctic amplification,are also discussed.All of these model datasets will contribute to PAMIP multi-model analysis and improve the understanding of polar amplification. | Bian HE Xiaoqi ZHANG Anmin DUAN Qing BAO Yimin LIU Wenting HU Jinxiao LI Guoxiong WU | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,6: | 1 |
