1Effects of organic acids on Cd adsorption and desorption by two anthropic soils显示文摘The objective of this experiment was to study the effects of malic, tartaric, oxalic, and citric acid on the adsorption and desorption characteristics of Cd by two typical anthropic soils (lou soil and irrigation-silted soil) in North-west China. Cadmium adsorption and desorption were studied under a range of temperatures (25℃, 30℃, 35℃, 40℃), organic acid concentrations (0.5-5.0 mmol·L-1), and pH values (2-8). The results showed that the Cd adsorption capacity of the lou soil was significantly greater than that of the irrigation-silted soil. Generally, Cd adsorption increased as the temperature increased. In the presence of NaNO3, the adsorption of Cd was endothermic with △H values of 31.365 kJ·mo1-1 for lou soil and 28.278 kJ·mol-1 for irrigation-silted soil. The endothermic reaction indicated that H bonds were the main driving force for Cd adsorption in both soils. However, different concentrations of organic acids showed various influences on the two soils. In the presence of citric acid, chemical adsorption and van der Waals interactions were the main driving forces for Cd adsorption rather than H bonds. Although the types of organic acids and soil properties were different, the effects of the organic acids on the adsorption and desorption of Cd were similar in the two soils. The adsorption percentage of Cd generally decreased as organic acid concentrations increased. In contrast, the adsorption percentage increased as the pH of the initial solution increased. The exception was that adsorption percentage of Cd increased slightly as oxalic acid concentrations increased. 2Chronic fatigue syndrome treated by the traditional Chinese proce-dure abdominal tuina:a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of the traditional Chinese procedure abdominal Tuina(AT) on chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS).METHODS: This randomized, single assessor-blinded clinical trial was carried out from May 2014 to April 2015. Eighty participants in the trial were divided randomly into two groups: experimental group and control. The experimental group(40 cases) was treated by AT and the control group(40 cases) by acupuncture. Each treatment was conducted once a day, 5 d for one course, at an interval of 2 d between each course. The whole treatment course lasted for 4 weeks. To ascertain the effect of AT and acupuncture, Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14), Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression(HAMD) scores were used before and after treatment. Patients were followed up for3 months after treatment.RESULTS: After treatment for 4 weeks, 77 patients(39 cases in the experimental group and 38 cases in the control group) completed the trial. The FS-14,SAS and HAMD scores decreased(P < 0.05) significantly compared with those before treatment in both groups. The FS-14 and HAMD(P < 0.05) scores in the experimental group were much lower than those in the control group. The difference in SAS scores between the two groups was not significant.In the final follow-up, CFS in two cases in the experimental group and three in the control group recurred, but the difference was not significant. 3A chemically stable nanoporous coordination polymer with fixed and free Cu^(2+)ions for boosted C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)separation显示文摘Safely and highly selective acetylene(C_(2)H_(2))capture is a great challenge,because of its highly explosive nature,as well as its nearly similar molecule size and boiling point toward the main impurity of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).Adsorption separation has shown a promising future.Herein,a new nanoporous coordination polymer(PCP)adsorbent with fixed and free Cu ions(termed NTU-66-Cu)was prepared through post-synthetic approach via cation exchanging from the pristine NTU-66,an anionic framework with new 3,4,6-c topology and two kinds of cages.The NTU-66-Cu shows significantly improved C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)selectivity from 6 to 32(v/v:1/1)or 4 to 4_(2)(v/v:1/4)at low pressure under 298 K,along with enhanced C_(2)H_(2)capacity(from 89.22to 111.53 cm^(3)·g^(-1)).More importantly,this observation was further validated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations and breakthrough experiments under continuous and dynamic conditions.Further,the excellent chemical stability enables this adsorbent to achieve recycle C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)separation without loss of C_(2)H_(2)capacity.Si Chen Nibedita Behera Chao Yang Qiubing Dong Baishu Zheng Yingying Li Qi Tang Zhaoxu Wang Yanqing Wang Jingui Duan 2021Nano Research2021,14,2:3

5Highly Efficient Photoelectrocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to Methanol by a p–n Heterojunction CeO2/CuO/Cu Catalyst显示文摘Photoelectrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to fuels has great potential for reducing anthropogenic CO2 emissions and also lessening our dependence on fossil fuel energy.Herein,we report the successful development of a novel photoelectrocatalytic catalyst for the selective reduction of CO2 to methanol,comprising a copper catalyst modified with flower-like cerium oxide nanoparticles(CeO2 NPs)(a n-type semiconductor)and copper oxide nanoparticles(CuO NPs)(a p-type semiconductor).At an applied potential of−1.0 V(vs SCE)under visible light irradiation,the CeO2 NPs/CuO NPs/Cu catalyst yielded methanol at a rate of 3.44μmol cm^−2 h^−1,which was approximately five times higher than that of a CuO NPs/Cu catalyst(0.67μmol cm^−2 h^−1).The carrier concentration increased by^108 times when the flower-like CeO2 NPs were deposited on the CuO NPs/Cu catalyst,due to synergistic transfer of photoexcited electrons from the conduction band of CuO to that of CeO2,which enhanced both photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic CO2 reduction on the CeO2 NPs.The facile migration of photoexcited electrons and holes across the p–n heterojunction that formed between the CeO2 and CuO components was thus critical to excellent light-induced CO2 reduction properties of the CeO2 NPs/CuO NPs/Cu catalyst.Results encourage the wider application of composite semiconductor electrodes in carbon dioxide reduction.Zhengbin Pan Ershuan Han Jingui Zheng Jing Lu Xiaolin Wang Yanbin Yin Geoffrey INWaterhouse Xiuguo Wang Peiqiang Li 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:3

10Resveratrol Induces Apoptosis in Human Osteosarcoma MG63 Cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate apoptosis in human osteosarcoma MG63 cells induced by resveratrol and the molecular mechanism involved.METHODS MG63 cells were treated with different concentrations of resveratrol and transmission electron microscopy was used to observe morphological changes occurring in apoptosis.The MTT method was used to determine the inhibitory rate and flow cytometry was used to assess apoptosis and to analyze the expression of the p21cip1/WAF1 and survivin proteins;the expression of p21cip1/WAF1 and survivin mRNAs was analyzed by the reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).RESULTS A er resveratrol treatment,the growth of the MG63 cells was significantly inhibited in a time-and dose-dependent fashion.By transmission electron microscopy,the cells displayed morphological changes characteristic of apoptosis,including formation of cytoplasmic vacuoles,chromatin condensation and margination.Flow cytometry showed that the growth of the cells was inhibited a er resveratrol(10 mg/L and 20 mg/L) treatment.The inhibitory rates were(11.9 ± 0.63)% and(19.7 ± 0.88)% respectively.The quantity of treated cells in G0/G1 transition was increased,but the number in the S phase and G2/M transition was decreased.A subdiploid peak was observed.The expression of p21cip1/WAF1 was up-regulated while survivin was down-regulated.CONCLUSION Resveratrol can inhibit growth and induce apoptosis of MG63 cells.Its molecular mechanism might be related to modulation of survivin and p21cip1/WAF1 expression.Yan Liu Xin Wang Yuxin Xie Jingui Zhang Qingshan Wang Xianhui Xu 2008Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology2008,5,5:1

13Demonstration of 85%pump depletion and 10-6 noise content in quasi-parametric chirped-pulse amplification显示文摘Full pump depletion corresponds to the upper limit of the generated signal photons relative to the pump pulse;this allows the highest peak power to be produced in a unit area of ultraintense laser amplifiers.In practical systems based on optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification,however,the typical pump depletion is only~35%.Here,we report quasi-parametric chirped-pulse amplification(QPCPA)with a specially designed 8-cm-thick Sm∶YCOB crystal that highly dissipates the idler and hence improves pump depletion.We demonstrate 56%QPCPA energy efficiency for an 810-nm signal converted from a 532-nm pump,or equivalently 85%pump depletion.As another advantage,such a record high depletion greatly suppresses the parametric superfluorescence noise in QPCPA to only~1.5×10-6 relative to the amplified signal energy.These results pave the way to beyond the ten-petawatt peak power of the currently most intense lasers.Jingui Ma Kainan Xiong Peng Yuan Xiaoniu Tu Jing Wang Guoqiang Xie Yanqing Zheng Liejia Qian 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,10:1

19Human Cytomegalovirus Influences Host circRNA Transcriptions during Productive Infection显示文摘Human cytomegalovirus(HCMV)is a double-strand DNA virus widely infected in human.Circular RNAs(circ RNAs)are non-coding RNAs with most functions of which keep unknown,and the effects of HCMV productive infection on host circ RNA transcriptions remain unclear.In this study,we profiled 283 host circ RNAs that significantly altered by HCMV productive infection in human embryonic lung fibroblasts(HELF)by RNA deep sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.Among these,circ SP100,circ MAP3 K1,circ PLEKHM1,and circ TRIO were validated for their transcriptions and sequences.Furthermore,characteristics of circ SP100 were investigated by RT-q PCR and northern blot.It was implied that circ SP100 was produced from the sense strand of the SP100 gene containing six exons.Kinetics of circ SP100 and SP100 m RNA were significantly different after infection:circ SP100 levels increased gradually along with infection,whereas SP100 m RNA levels increased in the beginning and dropped at 24 h post-infection(hpi).Meanwhile,a total number of 257 proteins,including 10 HCMV encoding proteins,were identified potentially binding to cytoplasmic circ SP100 by RNA antisense purification(RAP)and mass spectrometry.Enrichment analysis showed these proteins were mainly involved in the spliceosome,protein processing,ribosome,and phagosome pathways,suggesting multiple functions of circ SP100 during HCMV infection.Jingui Deng Yujing Huang Qing Wang Jianming Li Yanping Ma Ying Qi Zhongyang Liu Yibo Li Qiang Ruan 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,2:1
