4Chronic fatigue syndrome treated by the traditional Chinese proce-dure abdominal tuina:a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of the traditional Chinese procedure abdominal Tuina(AT) on chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS).METHODS: This randomized, single assessor-blinded clinical trial was carried out from May 2014 to April 2015. Eighty participants in the trial were divided randomly into two groups: experimental group and control. The experimental group(40 cases) was treated by AT and the control group(40 cases) by acupuncture. Each treatment was conducted once a day, 5 d for one course, at an interval of 2 d between each course. The whole treatment course lasted for 4 weeks. To ascertain the effect of AT and acupuncture, Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14), Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression(HAMD) scores were used before and after treatment. Patients were followed up for3 months after treatment.RESULTS: After treatment for 4 weeks, 77 patients(39 cases in the experimental group and 38 cases in the control group) completed the trial. The FS-14,SAS and HAMD scores decreased(P < 0.05) significantly compared with those before treatment in both groups. The FS-14 and HAMD(P < 0.05) scores in the experimental group were much lower than those in the control group. The difference in SAS scores between the two groups was not significant.In the final follow-up, CFS in two cases in the experimental group and three in the control group recurred, but the difference was not significant. 5Porous tantalum-composited gelatin nanoparticles hydrogel integrated with mesenchymal stem cell-derived endothelial cells to construct vascularized tissue in vivo显示文摘The ideal scaffold material of angiogenesis should have mechanical strength and provide appropriate physiological microporous structures to mimic the extracellular matrix environment.In this study,we constructed an integrated three-dimensional scaffold material using porous tantalum(pTa),gelatin nanoparticles(GNPs)hydrogel,and seeded with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)-derived endothelial cells(ECs)for vascular tissue engineering.The characteristics and biocompatibility of pTa and GNPs hydrogel were evaluated by mechanical testing,scanning electron microscopy,cell counting kit,and live-cell assay.The BMSCs-derived ECs were identified by flow cytometry and angiogenesis assay.BMSCs-derived ECs were seeded on the pTa-GNPs hydrogel scaffold and implanted subcutaneously in nude mice.Four weeks after the operation,the scaffold material was evaluated by histomorphology.The superior biocompatible ability of pTa-GNPs hydrogel scaffold was observed.Our in vivo results suggested that 28 days after implantation,the formation of the stable capillary-like network in scaffold material could be promoted significantly.The novel,integrated pTa-GNPs hydrogel scaffold is biocompatible with the host,and exhibits biomechanical and angiogenic properties.Moreover,combined with BMSCs-derived ECs,it could construct vascular engineered tissue in vivo.This study may provide a basis for applying pTa in bone regeneration and autologous BMSCs in tissue-engineered vascular grafts.Zhenhua Zhao Mang Wang Fei Shao Ge Liu Junlei Li Xiaowei Wei Xiuzhi Zhang Jiahui Yang Fang Cao Qiushi Wang Huanan Wang Dewei Zhao 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,6:2

19Electroacupuncture attenuates chronic salpingitis via transforming growth factor-β1/p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on rats with chronic fallopian tube inflammation and its potential mechanisms.METHODS:Thirty-six female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into Control,Model and EA groups.The pathological morphology of the fallopian tubes was observed by hematoxylin-eosin(HE)and Masson staining.The results of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),phosphorylation(p)-p38MAPK in rat oviduct tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results of P38MAPK,p-P38MAPK and TGF-β1 in rat oviduct tissues were detected by immunofluorescence.The expression level of p38MAPK,p-P38MAPK,TGF-β1 protein in rats was detected by Western blot.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-q PCR)was used to detect m RNA expression levels of TGF-β1.RESULTS:It found that collagen fibers counts decreased significantly in EA group compared to Model group.The phosphorylation of P38MAPK in EA group was significantly reduced compared to Model group.The serum TGF-β1 expressions in EA group increased decreased significantly.CONCLUSION:Electroacupuncture was able to attenuate chronic salpingitis through down-regulating TGF-β1/MAPK signaling pathway.HU Xijiao CHENG Yinglong KANG Huanan LI Shuoxi WANG Yawen LIU Jinzhe SUN Yiming LIU Li 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,5:1
