| 2 | Adakite-type sodium-rich rocks in Awulale Mountain of west Tianshan:Significance for the vertical growth of continental crust显示文摘The sodium-rich dacites and albite porphyries of Permian in the Awulale Mountain of west Tianshan have unique chemical and trace element signatures identical to adakite. These intermediate-acidic igneous rocks are characterized by high Na2O, Al2O3 and Sr contents and high Sr/Y and La/Y ratios (>40 and >20, respectively), and low Y and Yb contents, and strong depletion in HREE, and positive Eu anomaly. The (143Nd/144Nd)i is in the range from0.51236 to 0.51248 and the εNd(t) is positive value (+0.79-+3.11); the (87Sr/86Sr)i is in the range from 0.7052 to 0.7054. These Nd and Sr isotopic composition features indicate that the source rocks of these adakite-type rocks are from a weakly depleted mantle, or a depleted mantle, but was contaminated by the crustal materials. | 3 | Geochemistry of Alkali-rich Igneous Rocks of Northern Xinjiang and Its Implications for Geodynamics显示文摘Five nearly E-W-trending alkali-rich igneous rock belts are distributed from north to south in northern Xinjiang, and they are composed mainly of riebeckite, K-feldspar granite and high-K and medium-K calc-alkaline volcanic rocks and shoshonite. They were mainly emplaced or erupted between the Carboniferous and Permian. The compositions of Sr, Nd, Pb, and O isotopes imply that their principal resource materials are derived from the upper mantle or juvenile crust, indicating obvious continental growth in the Phanerozoic. The trace element association implies that their tectonic settings are within plate and volcanic arc for alkali-rich granites, and post-collisional arc, late oceanic arc and continental arc for alkali-rich volcanic rocks. An archipelago model was suggested for the tectonic evolution in northern Xinjiang. | 5 | The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. | 6 | Soil erosion and sediment interception by check dams in a watershed for an extreme rainstorm on the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘The magnitude of soil erosion and sediment load reduction efficiency of check dams under extreme rainstorms is a long-standing concern.The current paper aims to use check dams to deduce the amount of soil erosion under extreme rainstorms in a watershed and to identify the difference in sediment interception efficiency of different types of check dams.Based on the sediment deposition at 12 check dams with 100% sediment interception efficiency and sub-catchment clustering by taking 12 damcontrolled catchments as clustering criteria,the amount of soil erosion resulting from an extreme rainstorm event on July 26,2017(named '7·26' extreme rainstorm) was estimated in the Chabagou watershed in the hill and gully region of the Loess Plateau.The differences in the sediment interception efficiency among the check dams in the watershed were analyzed according to field observations at 17 check dams.The results show that the average erosion intensity under the '7-26' extreme rainstorm was approximately 2.03×10~4 t/km^2,which was 5 times that in the second largest erosive rainfall in 2017(4.15×10~3 t/km^2) and 11-384 times that for storms in 2018(0.53×10~2 t/km^2-1.81×10~3 t/km^2).Under the '7-26' extreme rainstorm,the amount of soil erosion in the Chabagou watershed above the Caoping hydrological station was 4.20 × 106 t.The sediment interception efficiency of the check dams with drainage canals(including the destroyed check dams) and with drainage culverts was 6.48 and 39.49%,respectively.The total actual sediment amount trapped by the check dams was 1.11 × 106 t,accounting for 26.36% of the total amount of soil erosion.In contrast,3.09×106 t of sediment were input to the downstream channel,and the sediment deposition in the channel was 2.23×10~6 t,accounting for 53.15%of the total amount of soil erosion.The amount of sediment transport at the hydrological station was8.60×10~5 t.The Sediment Delivery Ratio(SDR) under the '7·26' extreme rainstorm was 0.21.The results indicated that the amount of soil erosion was huge,and the sediment interception efficiency of the check dams was greatly reduced under extreme rainstorms.It is necessary to strengthen the management and construction technology standards of check dams to improve the sediment interception efficiency and flood safety in the watershed. | Leichao Bai Nan Wang Juying Jiao Yixian Chen Bingzhe Tang Haolin Wang Yulan Chen Xiqin Yan Zhijie Wang | 2020 | International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,4: | 7 |
| 7 | Focal mechanism analysis and parameter estimation of Zhangbei-Shangyi earthquake from differential SAR inter-ferometry显示文摘On 10 January, 1998 an earthquake of Ms=6.2 occurred in the Zhangbei-Shangyi region of North China. The surface seismic deformation was measured in the previous study using the 3 pass ERS-1/2 SAR differential inter-ferometric technology (D-INSAR). In this note the focal mechanism of Zhangbei-Shangyi earthquake is estimated from the D-INSAR measurement of surface deformation based on a standard elastic dislocation model for seismic displacement. The inversion procedure is an iterative, linear least-squares algorithm. Through the relation between the focal parameters and displacement in the line of sight direc-tion measured in the radar interferogram, the optimum focal parameter set is derived. The results show that the seismic fault of Zhangbei-Shangyi earthquake is a thrust fault dip-ping SW with a large right-lateral displacement component. The strike and dip are 95°and 30°respectively on a fault patch of 12 km long by 14 km wide. | 8 | Conjugate adjoining problem in braid groups and new design of braid-based signatures显示文摘The development of quantum computation casts serious threats to the securities of most existing public-key cryptosystems. Braid-based cryptography is one of the alternatives that have potential advantages in resisting quantum attacks. In this paper, the state of the art of braid cryptography is surveyed, and then a new cryptographic problem-conjugate adjoining problem related to braid groups is proposed. Based on this problem, we design a new braid-based signature scheme. This scheme is efficient and provably secure in the random oracle model. Further, we present the comparison between braid-based signatures and RSA-based ones. The signing process of the braid-based schemes is more efficient than that of RSA-based ones, while the verifying process of the braid-based ones is observably slow. Hence, braid-based signatures are suitable for scenarios where the signing process has to be as quick as possible but delays are permitted in the verifying process, for example, in off-line e-cash systems. The key sizes in braid-based schemes are considerably large-about 2K bits in the case of secret keys and 12K bits in the case of public keys. However, braid operations are much simpler and more efficient than modular exponential operations. Therefore, braid-based schemes can be embedded into devices with low computational ability and large memory space. | 12 | Retrieval of urban slow deformation using the multi-baseline DInSAR technique显示文摘The investigation of slow displacement in urban areas using the multi-baseline DInSAR technique has been a hot research topic in the field of DInSAR. The basic flow of this technique includes several steps such as the combination of interferometric image pairs, generation of differential interferograms, selection of high coherent points, generation of the Delaunay triangular network, calculation and integration of increments in network, unwrapping and calibration of the residual phase, and the estimation of both atmospheric and nonlinear displacement phase. Among these steps, the calculation of increments is the key to retrieve linear displacement, while unwrapping and calibration of the residual phase are the keys to retrieve nonlinear displacement. In order to improve the performance of these two steps, this paper proposes a modified model coherence function for increments estimation, and a triangular 'circle' algorithm to deal with phase unwrapping and calibration. Based on the above algorithms, the subsidence of Suzhou City is investigated using 24 ERS scenes from February 1993 to December 2000. The results show that the linear subsidence velocity of the most urban area is about -20 to -30 mm/a during the time, with a yearly decrease in velocity. The displacement seems to be stable after 2000.
