1Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4)-based nanosized heteroarrays: Promising materials for photoelectrochemical water splitting显示文摘Photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting is recognized as a sustainable strategy for hydrogen generation due to its abundant hydrogen source,utilization of inexhaustible solar energy,high-purity product,and environment-friendly process.To actualize a practical PEC water splitting,it is paramount to develop efficient,stable,safe,and low-cost photoelectrode materials.Recently,graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)has aroused a great interest in the new generation photoelectrode materials because of its unique features,such as suitable band structure for water splitting,a certain range of visible light absorption,nontoxicity,and good stability.Some inherent defects of g-C3N4,however,seriously impair further improvement on PEC performance,including low electronic conductivity,high recombination rate of photogenerated charges,and limited visible light absorption at long wavelength range.Construction of g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarrays as photoelectrodes has been regarded as a promising strategy to circumvent these inherent limitations and achieve the high-performance PEC water splitting due to the accelerated exciton separation and the reduced combination of photogenerated electrons/holes.Herein,we summarize in detail the latest progress of g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarrays in PEC water-splitting photoelectrodes.Firstly,the unique advantages of this type of photoelectrodes,including the highly ordered nanoarray architectures and the heterojunctions,are highlighted.Then,different g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarrays are comprehensively discussed,in terms of their fabrication methods,PEC capacities,and mechanisms,etc.To conclude,the key challenges and possible solutions for future development on g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarray photoelectrodes are discussed.Liqun Wang Wenping Si Yueyu Tong Feng Hou Daniele Pergolesi Jungang Hou Thomas Lippert Shi Xue Dou Ji Liang 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,2:10

3Nonselective etching of GaN/AlGaN heterostructures by Cl2/Ar/BCl3 inductively coupled plasmas显示文摘A systematic study of the nonselective and smooth etching of GaN/AIGaN het-erostructures was performed using C12/Ar/BCI3 inductively coupled plasmas (ICR).Nonselective etching can be realized by adjusting the BCI3 ratio in the Cl2/Ar/BCI3 mixture (20%—60%), increasing the ICR power and dc bias, and decreasing the chamber pressure. Surface morphology of the etched heterostructures strongly depends on the gas chemistry and the chamber pressure. Specifically, with the addition of 20% BCI3 to Cl2/Ar (4:1) gas mixture, nonselective etching of GaN/Al0.28Ga0.72N heterostructures at high etch rate is maintained and the surface root-mean-square (rms) roughness is reduced from 10.622 to 0.495 nm, which is smoother than the as-grown sample. 4CMTM4 inhibits cell proliferation and migration via AKT, ERK1/2,and STAT3 pathway in colorectal cancer显示文摘CMTM4(CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 4),a potential tumor suppressor gene,is involved in several types of malignancies.It has been reported to be downregulated and exhibit anti-tumorigenic activities by regulating cell growth and cell cycle in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.It has also been identified as a tumor suppressor in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and its negative expression is a risk factor for poor prognosis of HCC patients.In the present study,an integrated bioinformatics analysis based on The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database showed that CMTM4 was frequently reduced in colorectal cancer(CRC)and high expression of CMTM4 was associated with increased overall survival rates.Based on these findings,we adopted gain-of-function and lost-of-function strategies using SW480 and HT29 CRC cell lines which have relatively low and high endogenous CMTM4 levels,respectively.We observed impeded cell proliferation and migration upon overexpression of CMTM4 in SW480 cells,and the opposite effects were observed upon knockdown of CMTM4 in HT-29 cells.Cell signaling pathways essential for CRC progression were then examined,and the phosphorylation levels of AKT,ERK1/2,and STAT3 were found to be decreased by CMTM4 overexpression in SW480 cells and elevated by CMTM4 silencing in HT29 cells.Their inhibitors were used to validate that the three signaling pathways contributed to the inhibitory effects of CMTM4 on CRC cells.Taken together,our results suggest that CMTM4 plays a tumor suppressive role in CRC.Hui Xue Ting Li Pingzhang Wang Xiaoning Mo Hejun Zhang Shigang Ding Dalong Ma Wenping Lv Jing Zhang Wenling Han 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,9:5
5A static-dynamic energy harvester for a self-powered ocean environment monitoring application显示文摘Ocean intelligent buoy is important for ocean environment monitoring.With the increase of requisite sensors and transportable data,a long power supply has become a problem to be solved urgently.In this work,a hybrid nanogenerator integrating triboelectric,piezoelectric,electromagnetic,photovoltaic,and thermotropic units is proposed to maximize ocean ambient energy harvesting,which includes static energy(solar and thermal energy)and dynamic energy(wave energy).Compared with a device with a single energy conversion mechanism,this structural design breaks the limit of harvesting time and natural conditions during the energy harvesting process,thereby increasing the harvested energy.Static energy harvesting is realized by the thermoelectric(TG)and photovoltaic(PV)units located inside the device and the PV unit attached to the device surface.Results show that the maximum open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are 5 V and 41 mA in the external PV and 1.33 V and 49 mA in the internal PV under 30000 Lux illumination,respectively.The open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of the TG unit are 5 V and 15 m A,respectively.The core component of the dynamic generation unit is the gimbal used to harvest wave energy by the triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG),piezoelectric generator(PENG),and electromagnetic generator.When the frequency is 2.4 Hz,the maximum peak-to-peak power of the TENG,PENG,and EMG are 0.25,1.58,and 13.8 mW,respectively.Finally,an intelligent ocean buoy is fabricated by the integration of an energy harvester,a power management circuit,sensors,a microcontroller,and a wireless communication module.Driven by static and dynamic energy,temperature signal,humidity signal,GPS signal,and sound signal are sent to the receiving terminal wirelessly.The ocean energy harvester proposed in this work is of great significance for ocean energy harvesting and ocean wireless monitoring systems.XUE Feng CHEN Liang LI ChunCheng REN Jing YU JunBin HOU XiaoJuan GENG WenPing MU JiLiang HE Jian CHOU XiuJian 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4:2
6Characteristics of Recent Horizontal Crustal Movement and Tectonic Deformation in the Northwest China Region显示文摘Making use of observation data of GPS in the Northwest China region and infrared distance-measurements crossing the Qilian-Longshoushan fault zone up to 2004, aided by the least square collocation and inversion of negative dislocation model for the boundaries of elastic blocks and the singular force-source, the dynamic evolution features of deformation and strain fields before and after the M_S=8.1 earthquake on the west of Kunlun Mountains Pass, especially the recent tectonic deformation and stress field status three years after this earthquake are studied. The possible regions or segments of active blocks and their boundaries reflecting accumulation background of high strain energy of producing earthquakes over middle magnitude, are obtained, as well as the potential epicenter. The results show that after short-term relaxation and adjustment in the northern margin of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) block after the M_S=8.1 earthquake, the main control action of background field of northeastward pushing of Indian plate is now recovering. Moreover, the following regions are found to have the background of high strain energy accumulation. 10Holocene climatic change reconstructed from trace elements of an aeolian deposit in the southeastern Mu Us Desert, northern China显示文摘In semi-arid and arid desert regions of northern China, aeolian deposits document the framework variation of an Asian monsoon during the late Quaternary. However, there is still a lack of detailed data pertaining to Holocene Asian monsoonal variation especial in the modern Asian summer monsoonal boundary belt. In this study, we reconstructed Holocene millennial-scale climatic changes in the Mu Us Desert, northern China, through systematic analysis of the variation of trace elements(324 samples) in different lithological units of the palaeosol-aeolian sand deposit, in combination with14 C and OSL chronology. Statistical results, correlation and clustering analysis indicate that the high content of 11 trace elements(V, Y, Cr, Nb, P, Mn, Cu, Zr, As, Ni and Rb, represented by P) and lower Sr content corresponding to periods of palaeosol development, marked increase of vegetation, weathering degree, and enhanced Asian summer monsoonal strength. In contrast, their opposed variation are coincident with accumulated aeolian sand layers, implying weaker summer monsoons and less geochemical weathering and degraded vegetation. These associations can be considered as signaling regional humid and dry changes of the Holocene environment. Accordingly, relatively arid conditions dominated the region before 7.2 ka, and there was an optimal humid climate in 7.2-4.6 ka. Afterwards, the climate became obviously dry, accompanied with several cycles of relatively wet and dry, such as relatively wet intervals around 4.1-3.7 ka, 3.5-3.3 ka and 2.5 ka. In addition, six millennial-scale dry events were recorded, and these events were consistent with weaker Asian summer monsoonal intervals in low latitudes, declined palaeosol development and precipitation in middle latitudes, as well as increased winter monsoon and periodic ice-rafting events in high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, within limits of accuracy of existing dating ages. 11Lift performance enhancement for flapping airfoils by considering surging motion显示文摘The flapping motion has a great impact on the aerodynamic performance of flapping wings. In this paper, a surging motion is added to an airfoil performing pitching-plunging combined motion to figure out how it influences the lift performance and flow pattern of flapping airfoils.Firstly, the numerical methods are validated by a NACA0012 airfoil pitching case and a NACA0012 airfoil plunging case. Then, the E377m airfoil which has typical geometric characteristics of the bird-like airfoil is selected as the calculation model to study how phase differences φ1 between surging motion and plunging motion affect the aerodynamic performance of flapping airfoils. The results show that the airfoil with surging motion has comprehensively better lift performance and thrust performance than the airfoil without surging motion when 15°< φ1< 90°. It is demonstrated that surging motion has a powerful ability to improve the aerodynamic performance of flapping airfoil by adjusting φ1. Finally, to further explore how flapping airfoil improves lift performance by considering surging motion, the flapping motions of E377m airfoil with the highest lift coefficient and lift efficiency are obtained through trajectory optimization. The surging motion is removed in the highest lift case and highest lift efficiency case respectively, and the mechanism that surging motion adjusts the aerodynamic force is analyzed in detail by comparing the vortex structure and kinematic parameters. 12Electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction towards industrial applications显示文摘Recently,research on the electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(eCO_(2)RR)has attracted considerable attention due to its potential to resolve environmental problems caused by CO_(2) while utilizing clean energy and producing high‐value‐added products.Considerable theoretical research in the lab has demonstrated its feasibility and prospect.However,industrialization is mandatory to realize the economic and social value of eCO_(2)RR.For industrial application of eCO_(2)RR,more criteria have been proposed for eCO_(2)RR research,including high current density(above 200 mA cm^(−2)),high product selectivity(above 90%),and long‐term stability.To fulfill these criteria,the eCO_(2)RR system needs to be systematically designed and optimized.In this review,recent research on eCO_(2)RR for industrial applications is summarized.The review starts with focus on potential industrial catalysts in eCO_(2)RR.Next,potential industrial products are proposed in eCO_(2)RR.These products,including carbon monoxide,formic acid,ethylene,and ethanol,all have high market demand,and have shown high current density and product selectivity in theoretical research.Notably,the innovative components and strategy for industrializing the eCO_(2)RR system are also highlighted here,including flow cells,seawater electrolytes,solid electrolytes,and a two‐step method.Finally,some instructions and possible future avenues are presented for the prospects of future industrial application of eCO_(2)RR.Dezhi Xu Kangkang Li Baohua Jia Wenping Sun Wei Zhang Xue Liu Tianyi Ma 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,1:0
13Development and Evaluation of a Promising Biomarker for Diagnosis of Latent and Active Tuberculosis Infection显示文摘Background:Diagnosing latent tuberculosis(TB)infection(LTBI)and active TB(ATB)is crucial for preventing disease progression and transmission.However,current diagnostic tests have limitations in terms of accuracy and sensitivity,making it challenging to diagnose these different infection states.Therefore,this study intends to develop a promising biomarker for LTBI and ATB diagnosis to overcome the limitations of the current diagnostic tests.Methods:We developed a novelmultiepitope-based diagnostic biomarker(MEBDB)fromLTBI region of differentiation antigens using bioinformatics and immunoinformatics.Immune responses induced byMEBDM were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent spot and cytometric bead assays.This study was conducted from April 2022 to December 2022 in the SeniorDepartment of Tuberculosis at the 8thMedical Center of PLA General Hospital,China.Blood samples were collected from participants with ATB,individuals with LTBI,and healthy controls(HCs).The diagnostic efficacy of MEBDB was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic curves.Results:A novel MEBDB,designated as CP19128P,was generated.CP19128P comprises 19 helper T lymphocyte epitopes,12 cytotoxic T lymphocyte epitopes,and 8 B-cell epitopes.In silico simulations demonstrated that CP19128P possesses strong affinity for Toll-like receptors and elicits robust innate and adaptive immune responses.CP19128P generated significantly higher levels of tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),interleukin 4(IL-4),and IL-10 in ATB patients(n=7)and LTBI(n=8)individuals compared with HCs(n=62)(P<0.001).Moreover,CP19128P-induced specific cytokines could be used to discriminate LTBI and ATB from healthy subjects with high sensitivity and specificity.Combining IL-2 with IL-4 or TNF-α could differentiate LTBI from HCs(the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve[AUC],0.976[95% confidence interval[CI],0.934-1.000]or 0.986[0.956-1.000]),whereas combining IL-4 with IL-17A or TNF-α could differentiate ATB from HCs(AUC,0.887[0.782-0.993]or 0.984[0.958-1.000]).Conclusions:Our study revealed that CP19128P is a potential MEBDBfor the diagnosis of LTBI andATB.Our findings suggest a promising strategy for developing novel,accurate,and sensitive diagnostic biomarkers and identifying new targets for TB diagnosis and management.Cong Peng Fan Jiang Yinping Liu Yong Xue Peng Cheng Jie Wang Liang Wang Wenping Gong 2024Infectious Diseases & Immunity2024,4,1:0
