2Parallel implementation of w-projection wide-field imaging显示文摘w-Projection is a wide-field imaging technique that is widely used in radio synthesis arrays. Processing the wide-field big data generated by the future Square Kilometre Array(SKA) will require significant updates to current methods to significantly reduce the time consumed on data processing. Data loading and gridding are found to be two major time-consuming tasks in w-projection. In this paper, we investigate two parallel methods of accelerating w-projection processing on multiple nodes: the hybrid Message Passing Interface(MPI) and Open Multi-Processing(OpenMP) method based on multicore Central Processing Units(CPUs) and the hybrid MPI and Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA)method based on Graphics Processing Units(GPUs). Both methods are successfully employed and operated in various computational environments, confirming their robustness. The experimental results show that the total runtime of both MPI + OpenMP and MPI + CUDA methods is significantly shorter than that of single-thread processing. MPI + CUDA generally shows faster performance when running on multiple nodes than MPI + OpenMP, especially on large numbers of nodes. The single-precision GPU-based processing yields faster computation than the double-precision processing; while the single-and doubleprecision CPU-based processing shows consistent computational performance. The gridding time remarkably increases when the support size of the convolution kernel is larger than 8 and the image size is larger than 2,048 pixels. 3Variation on leaching behavior of caustic compounds in bauxite residue during dealkalization process显示文摘Bauxite residue,a byproduct of alumina manufacture,is a serious environmental pollutant due to its high leaching contents of metals and caustic compounds.Four typical anions of CO3^2-,HCO3^-,Al(OH)4^- and OH-(represented caustic compounds) and metal ions(As,B,Mo and V) were selected to assess their leaching behavior under dealkalization process with different conditions including liquid/solid ratio(L/S ratio),temperature and leaching time.The results revealed that washing process could remove the soluble composition in bauxite residue effectively.The leaching concentrations of typical anions in bauxite residue decreased as follows:c(CO3^2-)> c(HCO3^-)> c[Al(OH)4-]> c(OH-).L/S ratio had a more significant effect on leaching behavior of OH-,whilst the leaching concentration of Al(OH)4-varied larger underleaching temperature and time treatment.Under the optimal leaching,the total alkaline,soluble Na concentrations,exchangeable Ca concentrations were 79.52,68.93,and 136.0 mmol/L,respectively,whilst the soluble and exchangeable content of As,B,Mo and V in bauxite residue changed slightly.However,it should be noted that water leaching has released metal ions such as As,B,Mo and V in bauxite residue to the surrounding environment.The semiquantitative analysis of XRD revealed that water leaching increased the content of gismondine from 2.4% to 6.4%.The SEM images demonstrated the dissolution of caustic compounds on bauxite residue surface.The correlation analysis indicated that CO3^2- and HCO3^- could effectively reflect the alkalinity of bauxite residue,and may be regarded as critical de alkalization indicators to evaluate alkalinity removal in bauxite residue.Yujun Wu Meng Li Feng Zhu William Hartley Jiaxin Liao Wenhui An Shengguo Xue Jun Jiang 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,6:2

6Efficient thermal dissipation in wafer-scale heterogeneous integration of single-crystalline��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)thin film on SiC显示文摘The semiconductor,β-Ga_(2)O_(3)is attractive for applications in high power electronic devices with low conduction loss due to its ultra-wide bandgap(∼4.9 eV)and large Baliga’s figure of merit.However,the thermal conductivity of��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)is much lower than that of other wide/ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors,such as SiC and GaN,which results in the deterioration of��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)-based device performance and reliability due to self-heating.To overcome this problem,a scalable thermal management strategy was proposed by heterogeneously integrating wafer-scale single-crystalline��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)thin films on a highly thermally conductive SiC substrate.Characterization of the transferred��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)thin film indicated a uniform thickness to within±2.01%,a smooth surface with a roughness of 0.2 nm,and good crystalline quality with an X-ray rocking curves(XRC)full width at half maximum of 80 arcsec.Transient thermoreflectance measurements were employed to investigate the thermal properties.The thermal performance of the fabricated��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)/SiC heterostructure was effectively improved in comparison with that of the��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)bulk wafer,and the effective thermal boundary resistance could be further reduced to 7.5 m 2 K/GW by a post-annealing process.Schottky barrier diodes(SBDs)were fabricated on both a��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)/SiC heterostructured material and a��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)bulk wafer.Infrared thermal imaging revealed the temperature increase of the SBDs on��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)/SiC to be one quarter that on the��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)bulk wafer with the same applied power,which suggests that the combination of the��-Ga_(2)O_(3)thin film and SiC substrate with high thermal conductivity promotes heat dissipation in��β-Ga_(2)O_(3)-based devices.Wenhui Xu Tiangui You Yibo Wang Zhenghao Shen Kang Liu Lianghui Zhang Huarui Sun Ruijie Qian Zhenghua An Fengwen Mu Tadatomo Suga Genquan Han Xin Ou Yue Hao Xi Wang 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,6:0
7Characteristics of Cloud Water Resource and Precipitation Efficiency of Hydrometeors over Northwest China显示文摘Understanding the characteristics of cloud water resource(CWR)and precipitation efficiency of hydrometeors(PEh)is imperative for the application of CWR in Northwest China.The atmospheric precipitable water(PW)in all four seasons and clouds and PEh in summer were studied with ERA-5 and CloudSat data in this region.The results show that topography,especially in the Tibetan Plateau,exerts significant impacts on the precipitation and PW in summer,since large amounts of clouds are distributed along the mountain ranges.The study region is divided into four typical areas:the monsoon area in eastern Northwest China(NWE),the Qilian Mountains area(QM),the Tianshan Mountains area(TM),and the Source of Three Rivers area(STR).Over the four areas,cloud top height(6.3 km)and cloud base height(3.3 km)over NWE are higher,and precipitating clouds are thicker(7 km)in the single-layer clouds.Liquid water content decreases with increasing altitude,while the ice water content first increases and then decreases.Liquid water path is higher over NWE(0.11 kg m^(−2))than over TM and STR(0.05 kg m^(−2)),and the ice water path is mainly concentrated within the range of 0.025–0.055 kg m^(−2).The PEh values are distributed unevenly and affected evidently by the terrain.Although the PEh values in the four typical areas(0.3–0.6)are higher than those in other regions,the CWR is relatively abundant and has a higher exploitation potential.Therefore,it is well-founded to exploit CWR for alleviating water shortages in these areas of Northwest China in summer.Zhanyu YAO Lin AN Pei ZHANG Liangshu GAO Shuo JIA Weijian WANG Wenhui ZHAO 2023Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,3:0
8Neutralization against SARS-CoV-2 Delta/Omicron variants and B cell response after inactivated vaccination among COVID-19 convalescents显示文摘Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants have made COVID-19 convalescents susceptible to re-infection and have raised concern about the efficacy of inactivated vaccination in neutralization against emerging variants and antigen-specific B cell response.To this end,a study on a long-term cohort of 208 participants who have recovered from COVID-19 was conducted,and the participants were followed up at 3.3(Visit 1),9.2(Visit 2),and 18.5(Visit 3)months after SARS-CoV-2 infection.They were classified into three groups(no-vaccination(n=54),one-dose(n=62),and two-dose(n=92)groups)on the basis of the administration of inactivated vaccination.The neutralizing antibody(NAb)titers against the wild-type virus continued to decrease in the no-vaccination group,but they rose significantly in the one-dose and two-dose groups,with the highest NAb titers being observed in the two-dose group at Visit 3.The NAb titers against the Delta variant for the no-vaccination,one-dose,and two-dose groups decreased by 3.3,1.9,and 2.3 folds relative to the wild-type virus,respectively,and those against the Omicron variant decreased by 7.0,4.0,and 3.8 folds,respectively.Similarly,the responses of SARS-CoV-2 RBD-specific B cells and memory B cells were boosted by the second vaccine dose.Results showed that the convalescents benefited from the administration of the inactivated vaccine(one or two doses),which enhanced neutralization against highly mutated SARS-CoV-2 variants and memory B cell responses.Two doses of inactivated vaccine among COVID-19 convalescents are therefore recommended for the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic,and vaccination guidelines and policies need to be updated.Hao Wang Yu Yuan Bihao Wu Mingzhong Xiao Zhen Wang Tingyue Diao Rui Zeng Li Chen Yanshou Lei Pinpin Long Yi Guo Xuefeng Lai Yuying Wen Wenhui Li Hao Cai Lulu Song Wei Ni Youyun Zhao Kani Ouyang Jingzhi Wang Qi Wang Li Liu Chaolong Wang An Pan Xiaodong Li Rui Gong Tangchun Wu 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,4:0
