1Discovery of β-Dihydroagarofuran-Type Sesquiterpenoids from the Leaves of Tripterygium wilfordii with Neuroprotective Activities显示文摘Nine undescribed dihydro-β-agarofuran sesquiterpenoid derivatives(1—9),along with a known analogue(10),were obtained from the leaves of Tripterygium wilfordii.Their gross structures were determined via extensive spectroscopic data,and the absolute configurations were elucidated by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and electron circular dichroism(ECD)techniques,which include ECD exciton chirality,octant rule of saturated cyclohexanone and comparison between the experimental and calculated ECD spectra.All the isolated compounds were tested for their neuroprotective activities against H2O2-induced cell injury in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells.Compounds 5 and 6 improved cell viability by 16.15%and 15.12%compared with the H2O2 treated group at 25μmol·L^(-1),respectively.Shuhui Dong Bin Lin Xiaobian Xue Ming Bai Xiaoxiao Huang Shaojiang Song 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,2:4

3Homoharringtonine is a safe and effective substitute for anthracyclines in children younger than 2 years old with acute myeloid leukemia显示文摘Homoharringtonine (HHT),a plant alkaloid from Cephalotaxus harringtonia,exhibits a unique anticancer mechanism and has been widely used in China to treat patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) since the 1970s.Trial SCMC-AML-2009 presented herein was a randomized clinical study designed based on our previous findings that pediatric AML patients younger than two years old may benefit from HHT-containing chemotherapy regimens.Patients randomized to arm A were treated with a standard chemotherapy regimen comprising mainly of anthracyclines and cytarabine (Ara-C),whereas patients in arm B were treated with HHTcontaining regimens in which anthracyclines in all but the initial induction therapy were replaced by HHT.From February 2009 to November 2015,59 patients less than 2 years old with de novo AML (other than acute promyelocytic leukemia) were recruited.A total of 42 patients achieved a morphologic complete remission (CR) after the first course,with similar rates in both arms (70.6% vs.72.0%).At the end of the follow-up period,40 patients remained in CR and 5 patients underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in CR,which could not be considered as events but censors.The 5-year event-free survival (EFS) was 60.2%± 9.6% for arm A and 88.0%± 6.5% for arm B (P=0.024).Patients in arm B experienced shorter durations of leukopenia,neutropenia,and thrombocytopenia and had a lower risk of infection during consolidation chemotherapy with high-dosage Ara-C.Consequently,the homoharringtonine-based regimen achieved excellent EFS and alleviated hematologic toxicity for children aged younger than 2 years with de novo AML compared with the anthracycline-based regimen.Xiaoxiao Chen Yanjing Tang Jing Chen Ru Chen Longjun Gu Huiliang Xue Ci Pan Jingyan Tang Shuhong Shen 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,3:3
4Hot-band absorption of indocyanine green for advanced anti-stokes fluorescence bioimaging显示文摘Bright anti-Stokes fluorescence(ASF)in the first near-infrared spectral region(NIR-I,800 nm–900 nm)under the excitation of a 915 nm continuous wave(CW)laser,is observed in Indocyanine Green(ICG),a dye approved by the Food and Drug Administration for clinical use.The dependence of fluorescence intensity on excitation light power and temperature,together with fluorescence lifetime measurement,establish this ASF to be originated from absorption from a thermally excited vibrational level(hot-band absorption),as shown in our experiments,which is stronger than the upconversion fluorescence from widely-used rare-earth ion doped nanoparticles.To test the utility of this ASF NIR-I probe for advanced bioimaging,we successively apply it for biothermal sensing,cerebral blood vessel tomography and blood stream velocimetry.Moreover,in combination with L1057 nanoparticles,which absorb the ASF of ICG and emit beyond 1100 nm,these two probes generate multi-mode images in two fluorescent channels under the excitation of a single 915 nm CW laser.One channel is used to monitor two overlapping organs,urinary system&blood vessel of a live mouse,while the other shows urinary system only.Using in intraoperative real-time monitoring,such multi-mode imaging method can be beneficial for visual guiding in anatomy of the urinary system to avoid any accidental injury to the surrounding blood vessels during surgery.Jing Zhou Xiaoxiao Fan Di Wu Jie Liu Yuhuang Zhang Zikang Ye Dingwei Xue Mubin He Liang Zhu Zhe Feng Andrey N.Kuzmin Wen Liu Paras N.Prasad Jun Qian 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,10:3
5Host HDAC4 regulates the antiviral response by inhibiting the phosphorylation of IRF3显示文摘Class II HDACs, such as HDAC4, are critical regulators of the immune response in various immune cells;however, its role in innate immunity remains largely unknown.Here, we report that the overexpression of HDAC4 suppresses the production of type I interferons triggered by pattern-recognition receptors (PRRs). HDAC4 repressed the translocation of transcription factor IRF3 to the nucleus, thereby decreasing IRF3-mediated IFN-β expression. In particular, we also determined that HDAC4 can be phosphorylated and simultaneously block the phosphorylation of IRF3 at Ser386 and Ser396 by TBK1 and IKKε, respectively, by interacting with the kinase domain of TBK1 and IKKε. Furthermore, IFN-β may stimulate the expression of HDAC4. 6Interface enhanced superconductivity in monolayer FeSe films on MgO(001):charge transfer with atomic substitution显示文摘Interface enhanced superconductivity over 50 K has been discovered in monolayer Fe Se films grown on several TiO_2-terminated oxide substrates.Whether such phenomenon exists in other oxide substrates remains an extremely interesting topic.Here we report enhanced superconductivity with an onset transition temperature of 18 K in monolayer Fe Se on Mg O(001) substrate by transport measurement.Scanning transmission electron microscopy investigation on the interface structure indicates that Fe Se films grow epitaxially on Mg O(001) and that overlayer Fe atoms diffuse into the top two layers of Mg O and substitute Mg atoms.Our density functional theory calculations reveal that this substitution promotes the charge transfer from the Mg O substrate to the Fe Se films,an essential process that also occurs in monolayer Fe Se on TiO_2-terminated oxides and contributes to the enhanced superconductivity therein.Our finding suggests that superconductivity enhancement in monolayer Fe Se films on oxides substrates is rather general as long as charge transfer is allowed at the interface,thus pointing out an explicit direction for searching for new high temperature superconductivity by interface engineering.Guanyu Zhou Qinghua Zhang Fawei Zheng Ding Zhang Chong Liu Xiaoxiao Wang Can-Li Song Ke He Xu-Cun Ma Lin Gu Ping Zhang Lili Wang Qi-Kun Xue 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,12:2
7Soliton regulation in microcavities induced by fundamental–second-harmonic mode coupling显示文摘Microcomb generation with simultaneous χ2 and χ3 nonlinearities brings new possibilities for ultrabroadband and potentially self-referenced integrated comb sources. However, the evolution of the intracavity field involving multiple nonlinear processes shows complex dynamics that are still poorly understood. Here, we report on strong soliton regulation induced by fundamental–second-harmonic(FD-SH) mode coupling. The formation of solitons from chaos is extensively investigated based on coupled Lugiato–Lefever equations. The soliton generation shows more deterministic behaviors in the presence of FD-SH mode interaction, which is in sharp contrast with the usual cases where the soliton number and relative locations are stochastic. Deterministic single soliton transition, soliton binding, and prohibition are observed, depending on the phase-matching condition and coupling coefficient between the fundamental and second-harmonic waves. 8Distribution of Polychaete Assemblage in Relation to Natural Environmental Variation and Anthropogenic Stress显示文摘Polychaete are diverse species of the soft-bottom community, and are often used as indicators in environment monitoring programs. However, the effects of anthropogenic activities and natural environmental variation on polychaete assemblage are rarely addressed. The goals of this study are to identify the effects of natural environmental variation and anthropogenic stress on polychaete assemblage, and to explore the relationship between the polychaete assemblage structure and anthropogenic stress without considering the natural environmental variation. Based on the data collected from the surveys conducted in the tidal flat of Jiaozhou Bay, the relationship between polychaete assemblage structure and environmental variables was determined using multivariate statistical methods including hierarchical cluster analysis, multidimensional scaling(MDS) and canonical correspondence analysis(CCA). The results showed that the polychaete assemblage was dominated by two species, Amphictene japonica and Heteromastus filiformis, and could be divided into two subgroups characterized by high and low species abundance. CCA illustrated that the natural environmental variables including water temperature and the distance from coast had primary effects on the polychaete assemblage structure; while stress of contaminants, such as As and Hg, had the secondary influences; and stress from the aquacultured species, mainly Ruditapes philippinarum, had a limited effect. Colinearity between the natural environmental variables and anthropogenic stress variables caused a critical divergence in the interpretation of CCA results, which highlighted the risk of a lack of information in environment assessment. 9Dispersion-less Kerr solitons in spectrally confined optical cavities显示文摘Solitons are self-reinforcing localized wave packets that manifest in the major areas of nonlinear science,from optics to biology and Bose-Einstein condensates.Recently,optically driven dissipative solitons have attracted great attention for the implementation of the chip-scale frequency combs that are decisive for communications,spectroscopy,neural computing,and quantum information processing.In the current understanding,the generation of temporal solitons involves the chromatic dispersion as a key enabling physical effect,acting either globally or locally on the cavity dynamics in a decisive way.Here,we report on a novel class of solitons,both theoretically and experimentally,which builds up in spectrally confined optical cavities when dispersion is practically absent,both globally and locally.Precisely,the interplay between the Kerr nonlinearity and spectral filtering results in an infiinite hierarchy of eigenfunctions which,combined with optical gain,allow for the generation of stable dispersion-less dissipative solitons in a previously unexplored regime.When the filter order tends to infinity,we find an unexpected link between dissipative and conservative solitons,in the form of Nyquist-pulse-like solitons endowed with an ultra-flat spectrum.In contrast to the conventional dispersion-enabled nonlinear Schr?dinger solitons,these dispersion-less Nyquist solitons build on a fully confined spectrum and their energy scaling is not constrained by the pulse duration.Dispersion-less soliton molecules and their deterministic transitioning to single solitons are also evidenced.These findings broaden the fundamental scope of the dissipative soliton paradigm and open new avenues for generating soliton pulses and frequency combs endowed with unprecedented temporal and spectral features.Xiaoxiao Xue Philippe Grelu Bofan Yang Mian Wang Shangyuan Li Xiaoping Zheng Bingkun Zhou 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,1:1
10Bioresponsive immune-booster-based prodrug nanogel for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘The combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy motivates a potent immune system by triggering immunogenic cell death(ICD), showing great potential in inhibiting tumor growth and improving the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(ITM). However, the therapeutic effectiveness has been restricted by inferior drug bioavailability. Herein, we reported a universal bioresponsive doxorubicin(DOX)-based nanogel to achieve tumor-specific co-delivery of drugs. DOX-based mannose nanogels(DM NGs) was designed and choosed as an example to elucidate the mechanism of combined chemo-immunotherapy. As expected, the DM NGs exhibited prominent micellar stability, selective drug release and prolonged survival time, benefited from the enhanced tumor permeability and prolonged blood circulation. We discovered that the DOX delivered by DM NGs could induce powerful antitumor immune response facilitated by promoting ICD. Meanwhile, the released mannose from DM NGs was proved as a powerful and synergetic treatment for breast cancer in vitro and in vivo, via damaging the glucose metabolism in glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle. 12Evaluating the eff ect of input variables on quantifying the spatial distribution of croaker Johnius belangerii in Haizhou Bay,China显示文摘A habitat model has been widely used to manage marine species and analyze relationship between species distribution and environmental factors.The predictive skill in habitat model depends on whether the models include appropriate explanatory variables.Due to limited habitat range,low density,and low detection rate,the number of zero catches could be very large even in favorable habitats.Excessive zeroes will increase the bias and uncertainty in estimation of habitat.Therefore,appropriate explanatory variables need to be chosen first to prevent underestimate or overestimate species abundance in habitat models.In addition,biotic variables such as prey data and spatial autocovariate(SAC)of target species are often ignored in species distribution models.Therefore,we evaluated the eff ects of input variables on the performance of generalized additive models(GAMs)under excessive zero catch(>70%).Five types of input variables were selected,i.e.,(1)abiotic variables,(2)abiotic and biotic variables,(3)abiotic variables and SAC,(4)abiotic,biotic variables and SAC,and(5)principal component analysis(PCA)based abiotic and biotic variables and SAC.Belanger’s croaker Johnius belangerii is one of the dominant demersal fish in Haizhou Bay,with a large number of zero catches,thus was used for the case study.Results show that the PCA-based GAM incorporated with abiotic and biotic variables and SAC was the most appropriate model to quantify the spatial distribution of the croaker.Biotic variables and SAC were important and should be incorporated as one of the drivers to predict species distribution.Our study suggests that the process of input variables is critical to habitat modelling,which could improve the performance of habitat models and enhance our understanding of the habitat suitability of target species.Yunlei ZHANG Ying XUE Binduo XU Chongliang ZHANG Xiaoxiao ZAN 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,4:1
13Deciphering the leakage conduction mechanism of BiFeO_(3)–BaTiO_(3)lead-free piezoelectric ceramics显示文摘BiFeO_(3)–BaTiO_(3)(BF–BT)based piezoelectric ceramics are a kind of high-temperature lead-free piezoelectric ceramics with great development prospects due to their high Curie temperature(TC)and excellent electrical properties.However,large leakage current limits their performance improvement and practical applications.In this work,direct current(DC)test,alternating current(AC)impedance,and Hall tests were used to investigate conduction mechanisms of 0.75BiFeO_(3)–0.25BaTiO_(3)ceramics over a wide temperature range.In the range of room temperature(RT)−150℃,ohmic conduction plays a predominant effect,and the main carriers are p-type holes with the activation energy(Ea)of 0.51 eV.When T>200℃,the Ea value calculated from the AC impedance and Hall data is 1.03 eV with oxygen vacancies as a cause of high conductivity.The diffusion behavior of thermally activated oxygen vacancies is affected by crystal symmetry,oxygen vacancy concentration,and distribution,dominating internal conduction mechanism.Deciphering the conduction mechanisms over the three temperature ranges would pave the way for further improving the insulation and electrical properties of BiFeO_(3)–BaTiO_(3)ceramics.Mengping Xue Yucheng Tang Zhihang Shan Yijin Hao Xiaoxiao Zhou Xiaoqi Gao Hezhang Li Jun Pei Boping Zhang 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,10:0
14A hybrid machine learning model for predicting continuous cooling transformation diagrams in welding heat-affected zone of low alloy steels显示文摘Continuous cooling transformation diagrams in synthetic weld heat-affected zone(SH-CCT diagrams)show the phase transition temperature and hardness at different cooling rates,which is an important basis for formulating the welding process or predicting the performance of welding heat-affected zone.However,the experimental determination of SH-CCT diagrams is a time-consuming and costly process,which does not conform to the development trend of new materials.In addition,the prediction of SHCCT diagrams using metallurgical models remains a challenge due to the complexity of alloying elements and welding processes.So,in this study,a hybrid machine learning model consisting of multilayer perceptron classifier,k-Nearest Neighbors and random forest is established to predict the phase transformation temperature and hardness of low alloy steel using chemical composition and cooling rate.Then the SH-CCT diagrams of 6 kinds of steels are calculated by the hybrid machine learning model.The results show that the accuracy of the classification model is up to 100%,the predicted values of the regression models are in good agreement with the experimental results,with high correlation coefficient and low error value.Moreover,the mathematical expressions of hardness in welding heat-affected zone of low alloy steel are calculated by symbolic regression,which can quantitatively express the relationship between alloy composition,cooling time and hardness.This study demonstrates the great potential of the material informatics in the field of welding technology.Xiaoxiao Geng Xinping Mao Hong-Hui Wu Shuize Wang Weihua Xue Guanzhen Zhang Asad Ullah Hao Wang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,12:0
15The skeleton of 5,7-fused bicyclic imidazole-diazepine for heat-resistant energetic materials显示文摘In light of the low yields and complex reaction routes of some well-known 5,5-fused and 5,6-fused bicyclic compounds,a series of 5,7-fused bicyclic imidazole-diazepine compounds were developed with high yields by only two efficient steps.Significantly,the seven-membered heterocyclic ring has a stable energetic skeleton with multiple modifiable sites.However,the 5,7-fused bicyclic energetic compounds were rarely reported in the area of energetic materials.Three neutral compounds 1,2 and 4 were synthesized in this work.To improve the detonation performances of the 5,7-fused neutral compounds,corresponding perchlorate 1a and 2a were further developed.The physicochemical and energetic performances of all newly developed compounds were experimentally determined.All newly prepared energetic compounds exhibit high decomposition temperatures(Td:243.8-336℃)and low mechanical sensitivities(IS:>15 J,FS:>280 N).Among them,the velocities performances of 1a(Dv=7651 m/s)and 4(Dv=7600 m/s)are comparable to that of typical heat-resistant energetic material HNS(Dv=7612 m/s).Meanwhile,the high decomposition temperature and low mechanical sensitivities(Td=336℃;IS=32 J;FS>353 N)of 4 are superior to that of HNS(Td=318℃;IS=5 J;FS=250 N).Hence,the 5,7-fused bicyclic compounds with high thermostability,low sensitivities and adjustable detonation performance have a clear tendency to open up a new space for the development of heat-resistant energetic materials.Xiaoxiao Zheng Yubing Xue Changhao Dai Hongwei Yang Guangbin Cheng 2023Defence Technology(防务技术)2023,27,9:0
16Second-harmonic-assisted four-wave mixing in chip-based microresonator frequency comb generation显示文摘Simultaneous Kerr comb formation and second-harmonic generation with on-chip microresonators can greatly facilitate comb self-referencing for optical clocks and frequency metrology.Moreover,the presence of both second-and third-order nonlinearities results in complex cavity dynamics that is of high scientific interest but is still far from being well-understood.Here,we demonstrate that the interaction between the fundamental and the second-harmonic waves can provide an entirely new way of phase matching for four-wave mixing in optical microresonators,enabling the generation of optical frequency combs in the normal dispersion regime under conditions where comb creation is ordinarily prohibited.We derive new coupled time-domain mean-field equations and obtain simulation results showing good qualitative agreement with our experimental observations.Our findings provide a novel way of overcoming the dispersion limit for simultaneous Kerr comb formation and second-harmonic generation,which might prove to be especially important in the near-visible to visible range where several atomic transitions commonly used for the stabilization of optical clocks are located and where the large normal material dispersion is likely to dominate.Xiaoxiao Xue François Leo Yi Xuan Jose A Jaramillo-Villegas Pei-Hsun Wang Daniel E Leaird Miro Erkintalo Minghao Qi Andrew M Weiner 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:0
17HOTAIRM1 promotes osteogenic differentiation and alleviates osteoclast differentiation by inactivating the NF-κB pathway显示文摘Osteoporosis (OP), one of the most prevalent chronic progressive bone diseases, is caused by deficiency in bone formation by osteoblasts or excessive bone resorption by osteoclasts and subsequently increases the risk of bone fractures. Emerging evidence has indicated that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play key roles in many biological processes and various disorders. However, the role and mechanism of HOX antisense intergenic RNA myeloid 1 (HOTAIRM1), a myeloid-specific lncRNA, in osteoclast differentiation, osteogenic differentiation, and OP remain unclear. In this study, we found that HOTAIRM1 was upregulated during ossification of ligamentum flavum and osteogenic differentiation, while it was downregulated in osteoclast differentiation and in the bone and serum of human and mouse with OP. Further investigation revealed that silencing Hotairm1 decreased the expression of the osteogenic markers and attenuated osteogenesis. Moreover, forced Hotairm1 expression inhibited the expressions of the osteoclastogenesis markers and alleviated receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) ligand (RANKL)-induced osteoclast differentiation. Mechanically, Hotairm1 repressed the phosphorylation of p65 and inhibitor of κBα (IκBα) and attenuated RANKL-mediated enhancement of phos-p65 and IκBα, suggesting that Hotairm1 inhibits RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis through the NF-κB pathway.
